Meeting the Shibatas
While Reina had been helping people there had been something that had been on her mind. She had been thinking about the Shibata family. As she helped Ai and Sentarou escape the village 400 years ago she had been wondering that Hajime and Tsugumi Shibata don't exist now. The truth is she hadn't been keeping an eye on the Shibata family ever since she last saw Ai and Sentarou. So Reina had some questions on her mind. Do any descendants of Sentarou still exist and is Ayumi married to a different man now. It made Reina decide to find out.
First off Reina went to visit the house Hajime used to live in, back when Ayumi was still alive. (This is the year just before Hajime got married to Ayumi in the anime) As Reina had no idea what had happened with the Shibata family she had no idea who was living here this time.
But then a man came out of the house and to Reina's surprise this man looked just like Hajime from the anime. Reina was speechless. The man noticed Reina and asked if something was wrong. "Oh do excuse me sir but you look like someone I used to know" said Reina. "I see" said the man. Reina got a greater surprise when the man introduced himself as Hajime Shibata and he was a journalist, and he also explained he was going to get married to a woman named Ayumi. Reina couldn't believe it; she changed Ai and Sentarou's past and yet Hajime Shibata still exists. It was turning out to be a funny old world.
When Reina met up with her companions, she told them about Hajime. "So this Hajime Shibata is Ai and Sentarou's descendant?" asked Wanyuudou. "That's amazing" said Hone Onna. "He is the next guy we are going to help, well more like sort out;" said Reina "I sense that man may end up bring the type of stupid man who chooses work over family and have absolute no idea how his family feels". "Oh dear," said Ren "so we are going to sort him out so he doesn't end up like that?" "Yes," said Reina "which is why we need to wait for Hajime to get married to his fiancé Ayumi; the trouble will start there".
It wasn't long till it was Hajime and Ayumi's wedding. Reina and her companions came to the wedding disguised as guests. Reina kept a good eye on Hajime; as she feared he may end up being the same man from the anime, she also feared he was going to run off from his wedding for work. She was right because Hajime's co-workers got a call about information of the former prime minister, and Hajime went with them to gather information about it. The guests couldn't believe that Hajime just left in the middle of the reception. Even Wanyuudou, Ren, Hone Onna and Yamawaro were speechless by this. "Come on Hone Onna that man needs a serious lesson" said Reina. "Coming Reina-san" said Hone Onna.
Reina and Hone Onna followed Hajime to his destination. Right now he was about to get information with his colleagues. Reina angrily stomped over to Hajime, got his attention and dragged him away from his colleagues. "Sorry gentlemen but we are borrowing Hajime" said Hone Onna. The colleagues looked on in shock while Hajime got dragged away from the area.
Reina dragged Hajime to a corner where no one would see them. "Hey what are you doing?" asked Hajime. Reina angrily gave him two hard, painful bitch-slaps. "What the hell do you think you are doing!" shouted Reina "what kind of person runs off and ditches his own wife at his own wedding reception I'd like to know?! Just because you're a journalist doesn't mean you ditch an important time with your wife for this!" Hone Onna spoke next. "If you really love Ayumi so much, then go back to her now and apologize!" she shouted "poor Ayumi will be shocked and very upset with you right now and may not forgive you for this for a long time!" "That's right!" shouted Reina. Feeling those hard slaps and seeing Reina and Hone Onna's angry faces got Hajime trembling with fear and decided to go back to Ayumi now. "That was some good slaps you gave him Reina-san" said Hone Onna, after Hajime left. "That twit deserved them" said Reina. She had always hated how Hajime treated Ayumi in the anime while she was still alive. "He deserves a lesson before it will be too late for him and Ayumi".
Hours later it was the middle of the night and Reina and her companions were outside Hajime's house. "What are you planning for that man Hajime now Reina-san?" asked Yamawaro. "I'm going to give him a nightmare of his alternate future of losing his wife due to his stupidity" answered Reina. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but what will happen between Hajime and Ayumi if he doesn't realize his ways?" asked Ren. "I tell you what will happen;" said Reina "Hajime will continue choosing work over family even when he has a child, make feel Ayumi feel alone and neglected all the time and he won't even notice, then Ayumi would make a mistake of having an affair due to her loneliness which will make Hajime mad at her and make her leave the house, and then Ayumi will die from an accident due to her sorrow. That of course will make Hajime feel guilty for the rest of his life for how he treated Ayumi". The companions were surprised by that. "You're right Reina-san; that man really is a twit that needs to be taught a lesson" said Hone Onna. Reina got on with the procedure of giving Hajime a nightmare after sneaking into his house. After she finished she asked Ren and Wanyuudou to talk to Hajime tomorrow. "After having those nightmares he will need comfort and advice from male company". "Yes Reina-san" said Wanyuudou. Ren agreed too.
The next day Ren and Wanyuudou found Hajime in a slump, in the park, sitting on a park bench. The duo went over to him. "Hello there, you look like you could do with some company" said Ren. "I would thank you" sighed Hajime. "Want to talk about what's got you all down?" asked Wanyuudou. "Well you may not believe this but I had a terrible dream last night about me losing my wife Ayumi;" said Hajime "I dreamt I kept on burying myself into my job for Ayumi's sake. But she was feeling all alone and neglected and I didn't even notice it like a stupid idiot. Then I dreamt Ayumi went onto having an affair because of the loneliness I put her through. It made me mad at her of course and caused me to demand her to leave. Last of the entire dream ended with me losing her to a car accident. It was terrible and after I woke up I kept on holding onto Ayumi the rest of the night". Wanyuudou and Ren could tell that Reina's dream plan had worked. "If you ask me sir I would say you were given a warning;" said Ren "we have heard about you running off from your own wedding because of your work". "That's right," said Wanyuudou "we do understand that you like your job as a journalist, but no good ever comes from choosing your job over family like that. Even though money would give your wife and any of your future children many nice things; it would never give them true happiness because the real happiness would be you being there for them when they want you around. So my advice to you is be there for Ayumi when she wants you around otherwise you really will lose her. Hajime listened to every word Hajime and Wanyuudou said, and then he suddenly stood up. "Thank you," he said, bowing to them, "I'll sort out my job now and make things up with Ayumi right now". Then he left, leaving Ren and Ayumi to smile at each other with triumph.
Ren and Wanyuudou met up with the others. "Good work there" said Reina. "Thanks Reina-san" said Ren. "Are we done now?" asked Wanyuudou. "No, not yet," said Reina "I want to watch over Hajime and his wife a bit more; just to see what will happen with those two now. To be honest I really want to see if Hajime will change his ways now".
Over the months Reina kept an eye on the Shibatas. Hajime came true to his word; he cut back on his job as a journalist and made sure to spend real time with Ayumi. Later, to Reina's surprise, Ayumi gave birth to Tsugumi. It really was a funny world according to Reina. Hajime was doing a lot better as a husband and father to Reina's relieve.
One day Reina decided to talk to Ayumi; she thought it would be a good idea to give her some advice about Hajime just in case. Ayumi was at home taking care of Tsugumi when Reina came to visit her. "I hope you don't me dropping in out of the blue like this Ayumi" said Reina. "Of course not;" said Ayumi "I like having a friend around now and again". (Reina's using her powers to make Ayumi believe Reina is her friend) Reina could see Ayumi was looking more bright and cheerful than she ever did in the anime. "I've heard your husband has been doing a lot of work at home apart from doing work away from home" said Reina. "Yes he says it's his way of doing work and being with me and Tsugumi at the same time" said Ayumi. "That's good though;" said Reina "I prefer people who work closer to home and family than work far away from home and family for so long". "Reina can I talk to you about something?" asked Ayumi. "Of course go ahead" answered Reina. "Well I have been wondering if Hajime is feeling okay with himself;" said Ayumi "this may sound weird but not long after we got married Hajime told me he had this bad dream about me being alone all the time due to his work, about me having an affair and then me dying in a car crash due to that. When that happened he held onto to me crying the rest of that night and kept on apologizing to me and vowing he would be a better husband from now on". "Oh I've heard about that;" said Reina "I would suggest that dream of his was teaching him a lesson. I remember that he ran off from your wedding because of work". "So do I, but he quickly came back and apologized to me after you and your friend gave him a real telling off and he also told me about the slaps you gave him" said Ayumi. "That husband of yours need it after ditching you like that;" said Reina "if that had been me I would have been fuming with rage at him". "Even though I am happy that Hajime has been making it up to me since then," said Ayumi "and of course I am even happier that he's been spending real time with me and Tsugumi. But I can't help but wonder if Hajime is okay with not doing what he had been doing before".
It was clear that Ayumi was starting to have doubts about things and declared this was a good time to give her advice. "Ayumi if your staring to have any doubts or any other emotions about your husband, let me give you some advice;" said Reina "if your starting to feel different emotions because of your husband you have to really tell him about your feelings. It's no good to just bottle up your feelings like that. Hajime is clearly the type of man who won't understand your feelings if you don't tell him. So Ayumi don't bottle up your feelings or hesitate to talk to him. Tie him up, pin him on the floor or gag him if you must; you must make Hajime listen to you properly even if it takes force. I know this because I have been there myself before". Ayumi was surprised by Reina's words. "Yes, you're right," said Ayumi "I will talk to him about my feelings. Thank you for talking to me with your advice Reina". "My pleasure" said Reina.
Reina left the house and met up with her companions. "We're finished here now; those two will be just fine now" said Reina. Reina was happy she sorted out Hajime and Ayumi; she always felt sorry for them whenever she watched episode 22. But she still planned to check up on them now and again.
I hope you like the idea of me adding adding Hajime and Tsugumi to this. I couldn't bring myself to leave them out. I hope you also like how I sorted Hajime and Ayumi out; I thought the both of them were fools. Hajime was a fool for not noticing Ayumi's feelings and Ayumi was a fool for not telling Hajime how she felt. Hajime then became a fool later on by treating Tsugumi the same way he treated Ayumi for leaving her alone lots. I also felt sorry for Ayumi for growing up without a mum around.
