Hello, everyone! PHANTOMKNIGHTMARE47 here, with the fourth chapter of Sonic Forces 2: The Return of Eggman. In this chapter, following the wedding of Whisper and Tangle, Sonic and his friends are relaxing, until they learn that Dr. Starline has allied with Eggman, this time, they've made Bullet the Hyena into a super soldier thanks to Lien-Da, and have him attempt to assassinate Sonic's friends. However, Brad and his team help Sonic in stopping the assassination attempts, plus Sonic meets the leader of Team Enforcer, Tanaris The Hedgehog, who is revealed to be Sonic's long-lost older brother, and Tanaris's teammates, Luna the Octopus, Talon the Komodo Dragon, Randy the Rattlesnake, and Stacey The Skunk. Will Sonic and co be able to stop Starline's malevolent machinations? Find out, in this newest chapter of Sonic Forces 2: The Return of Eggman!

Chapter 4: The Return Of Starline

It cuts to Sonic having a race with his friend and rival, Jet the Hawk, and their new ally, Madison the Cheetah, with Maddie using her super-speed, and Sonic and Jet on their Extreme Gears.

"This is the most fun I've had in a long while!" said Maddie, sounding like Ahsoka Tano

"Agreed, Maddie!" said Sonic, smiling at his friend.

"Bring it on, kitty-cat!" said Jet, smirking. Little did they know, they were being watched from Bullet's sniper scope.

"You've interfered in Eggman's affairs for the last goddamned time, you wretched blue pile of shit." said Bullet, scowling behind his scope. He was about to squeeze the trigger, until he felt someone tap his shoulder.

"Hey, mutt-butt." said a voice as Bullet turned to see a certain Mobian komodo dragon.

"Ah, shit." Bullet groaned, until he was suddenly uppercutted hard enough to be sent flying.

"Huh!?" said Sonic, as he and the others saw Bullet "Hey! That's the jackass who tried to ice Breezie!"

Bullet got to his feet, groaning. "Damn that komodo dragon punk. I'm gonna skin him alive, and turn him into a pair of matching boots and a handbag." he grumbled.

As he got to his feet, he saw Sonic, Jet and Maddie. "I've waited a long time for this." he spoke, aiming his gauntlet turrets at the group, only to be shot in the rear with some tranquilizer darts in both butt-cheeks. "Aw, crumbs." said Bullet, as he then fell over.

"We'll take it from here, Sonic." said the hedgehog who arrived with the Komodo dragon and rattlesnake.

"Who're you guys?" said Sonic

"My name is Tanaris the Hedgehog." said the black furred hedgehog

"I'm Talon the Komodo Dragon." said the komodo dragon

"My name is Luna the Octopus." said the octopus

"I'm Randy Rattlesnake." said the rattlesnake

"And I'm Stacey Skunk." said Stacey.

"We're Team Enforcer, a group of bounty hunters who arrest criminals." said Tanaris "And Sonic, there's something you should know: I'm your brother."

"BROTHER!?" Maddie and Jet blurted out. Jet fainted afterwards.

"Yep." said Tanaris. "I was born before Sonic, Sonia and Manic. I had to go into hiding because I was in danger from Eggman."

"That's understandable." said Sonic.

"I got my powers because I fell into some liquid Chaos Energy." said Tanaris.

"I was experimented on by Eggman." said Luna

"I lost my old tail due to one of Eggman's robots, so I was fitted with a weaponized prosthetic, like Rattlesnake Jake from Rango." said Randy.

"I got my powers from the Phantom Ruby, and I'm a mass-shifter." said Stacey "Like Tanya the Maned Wolf, I can grow from slender and curvy, to obese and plump at will. My maximum size is that of a whale."

"Neat." said Sonic. He then faced Tanaris "I guess we have a lotta catchin'-up to do, huh big bro?"

"Eeyup." said Tanaris.

Meanwhile, it cuts to Eggman's lab, where we see Bullet being infused with a super-soldier serum that Lien-Da and Dr. Starline the Platypus made.

"This is the perfect plan to wipe out Sonic and his friends for good." said Starline, sounding like Shota Aizawa/Eraserhead from My Hero Academia mixed with Miles Edgeworth from the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney anime. "My new super soldier serum will make Bullet a true threat towards Sonic and friends, with enhanced strength, durability, reflexes and accuracy, he'll have no problem swatting Team Sonic like a bunch of flies, Sonic The Hedgehog included."

"Excellent." said Eggman, smirking darkly. Meanwhile, Dow was talking with Antonio and Yomi.

"What're your guys' thoughts on working for Eggman?" said Dow

"The guy's a freaking narcissist." said Yomi "He basically steals credit from other people, and to top it all off, all he cares about is defeating Sonic and ruling over Mobius."

"I'm here because my half-brother, Mimic, sold me and my sister, Luna, to be part of Eggman's mad experiments," said Antonio.

"To be honest, I never really did kill my father." said Yomi "I only said that to sound cool. My dad actually died from NIDS when I was 11."

"Damn, sorry to hear that." said Dow.

"Like my rival, Noah, I learned martial-arts in the Fist Of The North Star universe, but while he learned Hokuto Shinken under Kenshiro, I learned a much more sinister style, Hokuto Ryuken, under the Three Shura Generals, Hyoh, Kaioh, and Han." Yomi explained. "I basically exceeded even their expectations. I managed to keep the style alive following the passing of the grandmaster, Jukei, and the deaths of Kaioh, Hyoh, Han and Shachi."

"Whoa…" Antonio murmured.

"I just wonder…if it's even worth working for that monster, Eggman," said Yomi. He, like Antonio, Lien-Da, Bullet, and Dow had planned on leaving Eggman's army to live normal lives.

Meanwhile, it cuts to Sonic sparring with Silver and Shadow, and trading blows with the black-and-red hedgehog and silver hedgehog in hand-to-hand combat.

"You're improving, Sonic." said Shadow.

"Thanks, Shadow." said Sonic, with a smirk on his face. Suddenly, they heard rustling in the bushes, and looked to see Bullet.

"BULLET!?" Sonic blurted out, shocked to see this. Bullet now had an athletic build, and had modified gauntlet turrets, as well as two swords sheathed on his back.

"I'm here to wipe you and the rest of Team Sonic off the face of Mobius altogether." said Bullet, aiming his gauntlet turrets at the SSS Squad, who evaded his gunfire.

"Crap! He's packing some serious heat!" said Sonic. Shadow took out his own glock, and shot at Bullet, but parts of Bullet's fur turned gray.

"Nanomachines, bub." said Bullet, smirking. "I was infused with 'em, so your weapons and powers can't do jack shit!"

(Author's Note: I was inspired by Senator Steven Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for Bullet's super-soldier surgery to involve having his body infused with nanomachines. He also now has the head-design of HildaHyena's OC, Hilda The Hyena.)

"Crap, this is bad." said Shadow. Suddenly, he noticed Tanaris fly up to him, shooting electricity at the hyena super soldier.

"You little shit!" said Bullet, scowling at Tanaris "I'm gonna skin you alive!"

"Bring it, mutt-butt!" said Tanaris. The two then duked it out, with Tanaris shooting electricity at Bullet. Tanaris then teleported behind Bullet, and electrocuted the sides of his head, temporarily disabling his brain. Bullet crumpled to the ground, out cold.

Later, it cuts to Bullet in a GUN Interrogation Room, where he was being confronted by Rouge, Shadow, and E-123 Omega.

"Who infused you with nanomachines and a super soldier serum?" said Shadow

"Back off, Emo Sonic!" said Bullet. Suddenly, Noah jabbed a vital point in the middle of Bullet's back.

"I've struck your Shin'ichi vital-point. You'll be forced to speak the truth." said Noah "Now, who performed the surgery that made you a super-soldier, and who infused you with nanomachines?"

"I-i-it was Starline! Doctor Starline the Platypus!" Bullet got out. "He's the one who turned me into a super-soldier, and he even coaxed Lien-Da into helping him!"

"Sounds like Starline's being a major league bully to everyone in Eggman's army, and it's up to all of us to stop him." said Sonic.

"Couldn't agree more." said Sonic.

With that, the gang headed off to Eggman's fortress.

Next Time, on Sonic Forces 2: The Return of Eggman: Sonic and co. arrive at one of Eggman's Bases, where they learn that Dr. Starline had forced the Deadly Six into serving him via the Cacophonic Conch. With Sonic and friends being forced to face off against the Deadly Six again, Team Dark, Team Cyo, and Team Savior rush to stop Starline once and for all. Will they succeed in their mission?
