Chapter 30: End
A/N: Hey everyone, sorry for the long wait. It is just that I had a lot of things going on recently and I haven't had much time to work on this story. I am so sorry to announce this but I have just canceled Sonic Fates. The reason why I made this difficult decision was because this story was just too hard to write. Especially the dialogue as I really struggled on that part. Also, I did not know what order to put the chapters in so I decided to cancel it. This was a wild ride and I want to thank all of you who have been supporting me on this wild ride. Here is a quick summary of everything that I planned on happening for the rest of the story:

In reality, the rest of the story was just going to be based straight off of the Conquest route from Fire Emblem Fates just with Sonic present. So there wasn't going to be much exciting stuff that was going to happen. But there were going to be a few twists here and there as the following are what I planned on including:
During the Kitsune Hamlet chapter, Sonic would reunite with Dr. Eggman, Orbot and Cubot in which from there he would battle and defeat Dr. Eggman's robot and from there capture the three and lock them all up inside the prison at the castle in the Astral Plane. After a while of Sonic and Corrin both convincing the three villains to join their side in the war, Eggman, Orbot and Cubot would all agree to help out Corrin's army in defeating Hoshido. Leo would volunteer to train Orbot and Cubot in using magic. Mainly because Eggman and Corrin both convinced him to do so.
Also, during this time period, all the children in the Conquest route would all be born.
Another major twist is that Takumi, Ryoma and Lillith's deaths would all be prevented mainly by Sonic.
Eventually, when reuniting with Iago, Sonic would defeat him and try to regain the ring in which Iago stole from Sonic. He would end up losing it as the ring would eventually end up in Garon's hands and from there he would theorize what to do with the ring until he eventually decides on maybe using the ring to achieve some type of transformation.
On the night before the final battle, Sonic would have one last dream with Regret but this time, he would be fighting with Regret, trying to convince him to just leave him alone and let him be.
After the battle is over, Regret would try to tell sonic that he thinks that he has met his purpose of helping Sonic out by showing him how his actions have consequences, before fading away into nothingness.
During the final battle, after Garon's true form is revealed to everyone inside the Castle Shirasagi throne room most especially including Sonic and Corrin, Garon would use the ring he stole from Sonic to transform into a giant yellow reptilian monster with six eyes and a giant piercing horn on its forehead. This monster would become known as the Ring Behemoth.
After a long battle, Sonic would use his last ring to finish off Garon meanwhile Corrin would defeat Garon as well with Shadow Yato thus ending the war for good.
Of course, Xander and Ryoma's coronations would go underway and once the two both become the kings of Nohr and Hoshido respectively, they would both sign a peace treaty thus establishing peace between Nohr and Hoshido.
During this time period, Sonic would interact well with the royals of both families and he would even establish a better relationship with Takumi.
Eventually, Lillith would bring to Sonic's attention that she thinks that she might've found a way to bring himself, Dr. Eggman and his henchbots home and it is through the Dragon's Gate located near the Bottomless Canyon on the Nohrian side of the Nohr and Hoshido border.
There Sonic would say farewell to both Corrin and Xander before he, Eggman and his henchbots all journey back to their world.
From here on, Sonic reunites with his friends back in his own world and life is pretty normal for Sonic and co from here on. But everyday, before leaving his house to go on another one of his adventures, Sonic would glance at his sword, Caliburn, as that sword would always remind Sonic of his awesome adventures and his friends in the Fates world.

A/N: Now that there is Sonic Fates, my friends. I hope that you all enjoyed this story as this is probably one of my biggest life achievements yet. Thank you to everyone who supported me during this wild ride as this story surely was one rollercoaster but it is now over. It is unknown if I am ever going to write another fanfiction but at least I will have this one. Anyway, I am going to miss writing this story a whole lot and once again from the bottom of my heart, thank you and goodbye.
