Chapter 7 : TNA Tag Team Royalty
Impact Zone - Locker Room
Late the next Thursday afternoon AMW and the Naturals walked into the locker room with Shane Douglas to get the last details to what they were doing that night about Taz. Storm was ready to give the man a beating for messing with his kids and Chase was ready to knock the guy out just for messing with Impact and pissing everybody off including him .
" Jessie , Gail , we ' re going ... " Shane started .
" I ' m not staying backstage Shane while my family is out in the ring dealing with Aces & Eights , " Jessie said as a matter of fact .
" I agree , we ' re not flimsy Divas , Shane , " Gail said .
" But ... " Shane said .
" They started it by taking Chris hostage , they continued it by bringing the man that beat the crap out of my mother and me into this where he continued to terrorize and mess with my family , and you better believe I will be there to finish this war and if that means starting with Taz then so be it , I ' m not an extension of Chris , I ' m his wife and that means standing together when there ' s a threat to our family . " Jessie said .
" Forget it Shane , they ' re going out there with us , " Storm said .
" Jessie has been in this fight since the beginning , she ' s the one who was calling everyone else in and putting the teams together , and since Rosie has gotten here she has continued to fight beside us , through everything , good or bad . And I think we are all aware that Gail has been in more wars beside Storm and myself than anyone can count , I ' m not going out with the numbers that Aces & Eights has with two of my best fighters sitting on the bench . " Chris said .
" Honey , " Jessie said .
" Honey , " Andy chuckled .
" Hush , Vampire Boy , " Chris teased .
" Lord , Vampire Lord , Chris , " Andy clarified .
" Shane , we ' re not in a dictatorship here where we decide who should and shouldn ' t stand for what TNA was founded on , Jessie and Gail are both apart of the Extended Family and they are both capable of defending themselves . Plus if they do have the numbers tonight on their side like the big brawl , I would rather have them out there with us instead of waiting back here . " Chase said .
" Wow , Chase , you ' re getting just as good at giving speeches as AMW , Traci teach you that ? " Gail asked .
" No , I learned from Jimmy Hart , " Chase said .
" If you start breaking out a megaphone , we will have a conversation , bro , " Storm warned Chase .
" You wouldn ' t do nothing and you know it , " Andy chuckled .
" Alright , so , what ' s the plan we ' re going with to eliminate Taz ? " Gail asked .
" I ' ll go out to the ring before AMW and The Naturals do , I will call Taz up about needing to speak with him in the ring , once he ' s in the ring I will let Taz know that I ' m inviting a few friends to the ring as well which will signal you guys to come out and join us . Once all of us are in the ring we then proceed in dealing with Taz with the contract that voids his "ironclad contract" and then we will show the video of things that he ' s done since joining Aces & Eights after which you four will send a message that TNA will not stand for people tearing down the foundations that the originals helped Jeff Jarrett build here , I will then take Taz ' s spot at ring side at the announce desk to offset any Aces & Eights threats while the war is still going on providing safety for Tenay and the rest of those around the ring and protecting our guys and girls in the ring . " Shane Douglas explained to the Naturals and AMW with the girls .
" I ' m still getting to punch Taz in the face ? " Chase asked .
" Of course , " Shane said .
" After me , " Storm said .
" How about I let you guys figure out all of that while I go and give Jarrett and Sting the plan for tonight ? " Shane said .
" Shane , if the Aces & Eights makes a play on this tonight , the rest of Fortune has agreed to leading the X - Division down to deal with it while Raven , Angle , and Matt have agreed to keep their crew back in case of an attack back here while everyone is busy in the ring . " Storm said .
" Very well , then everything is set and ready , " Shane said going to check in with Jarrett and Sting .
" What ' s with him ? " Jessie asked looking at the door Shane left from to go back to the office .
" Shane ' s an old school wrestler that ' s all , " Andy said as Chase started whistling like it wasn ' t a big deal .
" So , how are we going to send our message to Taz ? " Chris asked .
The two original tag teams of TNA along with Jessie and Gail took the time to plan out how everything was going down against Taz and how to handle the involvement of his Aces & Eights mates if they decided to back up their man . Once they were done and left the room the game plan was ready , Taz was being taken care of that night and all of them were ready to deliver the message loud and clear that messing with TNA was a bad idea .
" You guys look like you ' re up to no good , " Daniels said as AMW with the Knockouts and the Naturals joined the rest of the family at catering .
" We ' re ready , " Andy said .
" For the thing , with the it ? " Petey asked .
" Precisely , " Chase said .
" Air is starting to get a lot cleaner around the Impact Zone , " Kazarian said .
" Should be quite refreshing after we take out the trash tonight , " Storm said .
" Very kind of you guys to handle this for us , " Daniels said .
" And very kind of the family to have our backs on this , " Chris said .
" And you better believe we are ready for anything tonight . " AJ declared .
" We believe you , AJ , " Eric said .
" Kind of you to say , EY , " AJ said .
" And we have headache makers ready if you need it , " Bobby said .
" Headache makers , more like idiot killers to me " Storm stated .
" Music to our ears , " Raven said as his team of RVD , Rhyno , Tommy Dreamer , Sabu , and now Cassidy Riley walked up with three females that were going to be apart of the Knockouts Tournaments .
" We found these lovely ladies in the area and thought we would escort them to a safer area with the thugs around . " Cassidy said .
" We ' re not scared of a couple of thugs , Cassidy , " One of the toughest females wrestling had seen was the first to speak , the Pride of Texas had come back to TNA .
" Ms. Jacqueline Moore , you are looking well , " Storm looked at his old valet between his original AMW days and Beer Money .
" Cowboy , " Jackie said as the two hugged .
" And they won ' t know what hit them when the Monster shows up , " A pale-face legend from WCW , ECW , and the original TNA Knockout days said , she wasn ' t afraid of these thugs either , in fact nothing scared her .
" Daffney , " Traci Brooks said shaking the Scream Queen ' s hand .
" We ' re not some divas that happened to stubble their way into the ring expecting a pillow fight and rolling around in our bra and panties allowing the sickos in the audience to drool in their seats . " The last Knockout also an original , very lovely and quite capable of handling herself said .
" Taylor Wilde , it ' s great to see Knockouts from the old days back in the Impact Zone . " Gail said .
" And back in a six-sided ring , Gail . " Taylor said .
" You ' re Jackie Moore ? " Jessie asked looking at her fellow Texas gal .
" Yes , and you would be , dear ? " Jackie asked .
" Jessie Harris , " Jessie said .
" She married to Chris ? " Jackie asked looking at the Wildcat .
" Yes , this is my wife , " Chris said .
" And my tag partner , " Gail said .
" You must be good , if Gail sounds that confident in you , " Taylor said .
" Better believe it , " Jessie said .
" You ' re not shy to tell it like it is and I hear twang accent in you girl , where are you from ? " Jackie asked .
" Houston , " Jessie said .
" Texas ? " Jackie asked .
" Yes , I ' m from the Lonestar State , " Jessie said proudly .
" Praise the lord , the Wildcat went and found himself someone from my home state who speaks with fire and proud to be from Texas . " Jackie said hugging Jessie like a long lost sister .
" What part of Texas are you from Jackie ? " Jessie asked .
" Dallas sister , Dallas , Texas born and raised . " Jackie said .
" Greatest state on earth , " Lance Hoyt walked by to the catering table .
" See they went and got Dallas himself to prove it , " Jackie said .
" I see that , " Jessie said .
" So , being from Texas means that you guys are good at shouting across a room at each other ? " Chase asked confused .
" Watch your mouth Chase , Traci or no Traci , I will find a switch to use . " Jessie said .
" I don ' t care , " Traci said as Chase hid behind Andy .
" And she can handle herself well , too , excellent traits for the Knockouts Division . " Daffney said .
" Very , she has fit in quite well here , " Gail said .
" Just like a sister from Texas should . " Jackie said .
" Awe , you ladies are too kind , " Jessie said .
" The Knockouts who lit a division on fire are kind ? I ' ll believe that when I see it , " Debra said as she came over to join the family .
" Debra , you ' re here to help the family as well ? " Taylor asked .
" As much as I can , it ' s a full time job taking care of the boys around here . " Debra said .
" Amen to that , " Gail and Jessie said .
" Yeah , but her job is taking care of Andy . " Traci pointed out the other Natural .
" I ' m not that bad , " Andy said .
" So , you said the Monster was on his way , Daffney ? " Chris asked .
" Yes , he said that he would be here around the New Year , but not to expect him at any specific time . " Daffney said .
" Sounds just him , " AJ said .
" I ' m still happy about having the Monster on our side against Aces & Eights , " Chris said .
" Better than those thugs getting a hold of him themselves as it could be a bigger challenge getting rid of them . " Daniels said .
" Raven , I hate to ask , but do you have any idea how or why Devon and company would choose to go this route ? " Sabin asked .
" Not really with Devon , in the past he ' s always been level-headed , his brother on the other hand is the loose cannon and it ' s grown more so in the last few years than when I first met him ; definitely different than their days in ECW . " Raven said .
" Greed , jealousy , revenge , it seems like they ' ve had a lot of dark thoughts in the last couple of years , and not just those two , but the ones aligned with them as well . " Petey said .
" It runs through even the greatest wrestlers from time to time , even those with the best of intentions . " Dreamer said .
" Things start to change tonight , " Harris declared .
" But , have we figured out what they are planning for the New Year ? " Alex asked .
" Not yet , " Daniels sighed .
" Wish A1 would let us in on the scoops that the Insiders are getting . " Eric said .
" He ' s been really quiet lately as well . " Bobby said .
" Maybe what they are looking into is quite dangerous and doesn ' t need our interference getting A1 or the Insiders in trouble . " Andy pointed out .
" Andy has a point , we need to focus on what ' s going on here and let the Insiders worry about what they are looking into , that way we are not running the risk of them get caught by the thugs . " Dallas agreed .
" Big man , I need a favor from you , " Chase hinted .
" I thought you would never ask my brother , " Lance pulling brass knuckles out of his pocket throwing them to Stevens who tried them on making sure they were comfortable on his hand .
" Perfect for sending our message tonight , " Chase said .
" You are the boxer in the family , Chase , " Cassidy said .
" I will punch the daylights out of the problem at ring side . " Chase said .
" And then I will kick the dummy ' s head off , " Storm added .
" We will leave you guys to it then and go check out the rest of the arena , " Raven said .
" Be careful with my other brother , " Chase said looking at Cassidy .
" Don ' t worry , Cassidy is in good hands Chase , " Rhyno asid .
" You sound like an old lady worrying about me like that bro , " Cassidy said making everyone laugh .
" Go on , " Chase sighed as the group with Raven left .
" Old lady ? " Dallas asked .
" Don ' t start with me Big D . " Chase said .
" Your new persona ? " Andy asked .
" What ? " Chase asked confused .
" Old lady , is that your new persona ? " Andy asked .
" Bite me , " Chase said without thinking .
" Milady wouldn ' t approve . " Andy declared .
" You better believe she wouldn ' t , " Debra stated .
" Aw , " Chase sighed .
" You walked into that one when you asked Andy to bite you , " Eric pointed out .
" You guys are nuts , " Jessie said .
" Thanks for noticing , " Sabin said .
Later That Night In The Ring
Throughout the show that night everything was relatively quiet allowing them to get to the main event without seeing one Aces & Eights attack .
" Everything is going our way tonight , " Andy said as AMW and the Naturals were waiting backstage for Shane to call them out to the ring .
" We ' re ready , " Jessie said as she and Gail stood to the side looking at the monitor making sure no one tried to attack the Franchise before they could get out there .
" Shane , you ' re up , man , " Chris said handcuffs were on him for extra safety as Jessie stepped away from the monitor giving her kendo stick a few practice swings .
" Hold up , Jessie , " Raven came over .
" Raven ? " Shane asked .
" With it being Taz out there , if they do attack tonight , me and you both know the way ECW worked in the past and so do the ones in charge of Aces & Eights . " Raven hinted to Shane .
" True , " Shane said .
" Here , this may help you better than that little toothpick you call a kendo stick . " Raven giving her one that was longer , thicker , and stingier .
" Thanks , " Jessie said .
" You just made my wife deadlier , " Chris said .
" Not my problem , " Raven left the backstage area .
" Time to be a problem solver , " Shane said as his music "Deep" announced his arrival to the ring .
" The Franchise is here , man , I love this guy , Mike , " They could hear Taz say in the back .
" He won ' t love him for long , " Chase said .
" Apparently he has something to say , " Tenay pointed out as Shane Douglas asked for a microphone .
" Normally I would come out here joking and have something amusing to say , but after seeing everything that ' s been going on around the Impact Zone the last few months , people getting attack , family being kidnapped , thugs running around the Impact Zone treating this place like a war zone , I ' m all funned out. " Shane said .
" Shane ' s helping us deal with the Aces & Eights issue ? " Tenay asked .
" Sounds like it , Mike , and I can tell you there ' s no one better in my opinion , told you I love this guy , " Taz said .
" And what I can ' t stand more than anything is a rat has been hiding amongst us telling secrets to the Aces & Eights about things he had no business telling them . Yes , Aces & Eights felt it was a good idea to put a informant , a spy , a good for nothing traitor in our midst whose been whispering in the ears of his brothers in the 'clubhouse' of these thugs and it won ' t be tolerated . " Shane looked over to where Tenay and Taz were sitting .
" No sir , it won ' t , you tell them Shane , no rats , trust me I ' ve seen rats in New York , you could ride some of those suckers . " Taz said .
" Wonder who the rat is though and why is Shane looking over here ? " Tenay asked .
" Don ' t worry Mike , we ' re good , although I ' m still waiting for the invite to Vegas , brother , why are you holding out on me ? " Shane joked rhetorically .
" Sorry , didn ' t know you wanted one , " Tenay chuckled a little .
" Haha , Shane Douglas , always a joker that one , " Taz said .
" Taz , could you help me out in the ring ? " Shane asked .
" What does he want with you ? " Tenay asked suspicious .
" I don ' t know , but like I said I am from New York , so , maybe he wants my help catching the rat . " Taz still playing possum about his membership with the Aces & Eights .
" Yes , brother , joining me in the ring for old times sake , after all we ' re a couple of old dogs from ECW , " Shane stepped back letting Taz get in the ring .
" Sure , brothers - in - arms sort of thing here , what gives man about the rats in TNA ? " Taz asked in the microphone .
" Before we get to that , do you mind if I invited a few friends out here ? " Shane asked as the Naturals music now announced the arrival of Chase Stevens and Andy Douglas to the ring to join Shane and Taz .
" Now I ' m really confused , Shane did manage and coach the Naturals back in the original days of TNA , but I can ' t tell you why he would be inviting them out to the ring , could it have something to do about that rat in TNA ? " Tenay questioned .
" I see you brought your children to the ring , fair , fair , " Taz said getting a little nervous .
Next "Guilty" played in the arena as America ' s Most Wanted followed suit as the Naturals with Jessie and Gail behind them , the fans got excited to see both AMW and the Naturals in the same ring together , but Tenay was even more confused .
" A lot of star power in that ring right now and looks like Jessie has a new kendo stick in her hands to protect them from Aces & Eights . " Tenay said .
" Shane , enough games , what is going on here ? " Taz asked now pissed at the confusion .
" Why don ' t you watch the video we have for you and everyone else to see Taz and find out . " Shane said as a video played showing everything Taz had done to stab TNA in the back since the Aces & Eights started including kidnapping Storm ' s kids and opening up the blocked entrances allowing the gang members to have free access to the Impact Zone where they attacked people .
While the video was playing Shane had moved down to the floor to the announce desk next to Tenay taking a seat and propping his feet up on the desk .
" Professor before we proceed with the way things will go , would you kindly read what ' s in your notes , right there . " Shane pointed out on Tenay ' s notes .
" Immediately after the video evidence is shown to everyone , Taz will be effectively removed from his position at the announce desk immediately and relieved of his duty by Shane Douglas who will continue the duty of color commentator until the end of Aces & Eights or until a suitable replacement is found . " Tenay said .
" You see Taz , we ' re not too found of traitors who stab us in the back and try a hostile take over of our home here in TNA , and because of your recent actions we have determined that you are no longer fit to hold the position you were graciously given when you joined this company . " Shane said .
" I have an ironclad contract , there ' s nothing you can do to me and if you do I will sue your ass and this company for everything it ' s worth which isn ' t a whole lot . " Taz said .
" Yeah , that so called 'ironclad contract' you ' re preaching about was voided when Eric Bischoff left the company and Dixie Carter gave fifty percent of TNA to Sting and the other fifty to Jeff Jarrett at the start of the Aces & Eights take over . Taz , you don ' t have a leg to stand on in TNA any longer , you ' re done , it ' s over , and because of your actions to tear down the walls and foundation that certain people who came before you built from their blood , sweat , and tears , I want you to turn around and face your day of reckoning , ask them how much TNA is worth . " Shane said as Taz turned around to see AMW and the Naturals with pissed off faces .
" Now , now guys , Shane ' s going to get you into trouble some day . " Taz said .
" Too late for that , " Chase said as he nailed Taz in the forehead with the brass knuckles given to him by Lance Hoyt on his fist as an added affect to the normal punch to the noggin Stevens normally gives people that piss him off .
Just as AMW and the Naturals made to continue the beating Taz deserved for his crimes against TNA , Aces & Eights members were filling the arena with Devon and Doc leading them .
" We ' re not done , yet , " Storm said as the X-Division lead by AJ , Kazarian , Daniels , Motorcity Machine Guns , and Team Canada met the gang thugs taking them out .
In the ring , Taz woke up to find himself getting the Last Call superkick from Storm just as Devon , Doc , and a big member of the Aces & Eights made to get in the ring with AMW and the Naturals , the big member got his face wacked by Jessie and her new kendo stick . More Aces & Eights members made to get in the ring , one brave soul climbed to the top of the turnbuckle trying to take out the Wildcat as someone came running by on the top ropes and hurricanrana the fool from the top rope .
" Elix ? " Chris asked .
" Cat , you should really watch your six , brother , " Elix Skipper said as Low Ki nailed another in the corner of the ring .
" AMW and the Naturals aren ' t the only original tag team in TNA who are pissed at you guys taking shots at our comrades . " Low Ki said .
The Wildcat used the Catatonic to drop a smaller one to the mat leaving him wide open for Jessie to use her new move from the top turnbuckle , a version of the splash that she calls Texas Splash on the man followed up by Christopher Daniels who used the BME .
" There ' s three members of Triple X not just two , " Daniels said .
" CD , we wouldn ' t leave you out , " Elix said .
" Triple X , you guys have perfect timing . " Storm said .
" You ' re welcome , " Low Ki said .
" They ' re not backing down , " Chase said as Devon made a move only to have Andy Douglas use the high running knee he was famous for knocking Devon out .
Doc tried to follow Devon into the ring to attack Andy from behind only to have Dallas pick him from the ring apron and used his Blackout finisher on Doc .
" Thanks Big D , " Andy said .
Elix Skipper and Christopher Daniels used the Power-plex on the big guy followed up by a Warrior ' s Way by Low Ki allowing Gail to use Eat Defeat and pull the mask off revealing Knux .
" Another revealed and now all that ' s left is Taz , " Gail said as the rest of the Aces & Eights backed out of the arena .
Chase looked at Andy as Taz got up again only to get the Natural Disaster from the Naturals followed up by a Death Sentence from AMW before being tossed out of the ring by Triple X so his Aces & Eights brothers to help him out of the arena .
" Good riddance , " Tenay said looking at the ring with AMW , the Naturals , and Triple X sharing handshakes and hugs with each other .
" TNA Tag Team Royalty in the ring right now , Tenay , " Shane said .
