Disclaimer: I do not own Bleach or Naruto. Only the OC is my idea, her backstory, abilities, appearance, etc. I do not make any money from this story. Some characters may be a bit out of character.

Also Tomorrow for July 3rd (Neji's birthday) I'm going to post a stand alone piece that ties this story together with a sequel.

Chiaki's eyes narrowed at Tenzo as she inquired, "how would you know that Orochimaru is capable of this?"

"We can't disclose that. It's ANBU information," Kakashi answered for the masked man. Beneath the cat mask, Tenzo closed his eyes in relief, unwilling to let many know the truth yet. The fact that his former Anbu captain knew was more than enough as it was.

"Regardless the fact that we even know someone from this world is able to create clones is worrisome," Kisuke observed.

"Agreed," Chiaki acknowledged. She shook her head before adding, "I don't want to think about what could happen if he made a clone of himself."

"The beginning of the apocalypse," Yoruichi suggested. Chiaki gave her an unamused expression, causing the purple haired woman to advise her, "I wasn't joking."

"We gathered as much," Neji interjected, he was still standing close to Chiaki. Although her tears and sobs had stopped he could still feel how surfaced her sadness was just by her spiritual pressure. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder, a reminder that he was there with her.

She glanced over at him, a small smile gracing her lips at his gesture. He returned her smile, which earned some looks from Kiba, Shino, and Lee who queried, "when did that happen?"

The question was obvious, but the two being asked shrugged their shoulders in response as Neji replied, "it simply did."

"Let's have a word, little bird," Yoruichi stated as she grabbed Chiaki's arm, and lead her away from the others. Once they were a bit away the group observed the purple haired woman speaking to the brunette. The body language that Yoruichi displayed, the arms crossed over her chest, direct eye contact.

Lee looked to Neji and inquired, "is this why Tenten is more depressed than normal?"

Neji gave a heavy sigh before looking at his best friend and stated, "Tenten is why this happened. Do you remember several weeks ago when I said that I saw someone standing in midair, fighting an octopus like creature?"

"I do!"

Neji then began to explain everything starting from when he had first encountered Chiaki in the cave, what she told him about soul society and why he kept her secret at first. He then admitted that it just became habit after the first few times people asked about her. He explained that he hadn't seen Tenten and told her about his new friend so when she saw him giving his apartment key to her when returning from an A rank mission, she had assumed the worst. He left out parts that could damage Tenten's reputation but did mention that Chiaki had done her best to be supportive of him during that time and at some point during that he realized she was someone he greatly valued.

"Don't think less of Tenten for any of this, Lee. It was my mistake," Neji concluded. Lee gave a nod of his head in acknowledgement while he mulled over the information. If what Neji was saying was true then he hadn't hidden his friendship with Chiaki maliciously and Lady Tsunade had forbidden them from reforming their prior relationship. No wonder things were dicey with Tenten lately.

"How touching," a strange voice fell on the Shinobi's ears, although Kisuke's eyes narrowed.

Neji and Hinata with her byakugan active were able to discern a man roughly 6' tall with a slender frame standing behind Kisuke.

The man continued, "I had no idea that little mock heir had picked up the affection of some mock clan leader. You honestly believe yourself worthy of the princess of Los Noches?"

This statement however seemed to irritate Kisuke who looked at the man from under the rim of his boat hat and state in a matter of fact tone, "Her title is Kido Corps Commander, and she's the epitome of everything the Guard squads stands for."

"Weakness? Fragility? A bleeding heart?"

"Leave it to you to try to invalidate the best qualities of a Shinigami," Yoruichi commented.

Aizen chuckled a bit as he reached for his Zanpakuto, only to find it was no longer there. Glancing around he spotted that behind himself stood the brunette girl, her amber hued eyes filled with hatred. Within her hand was a katana with a hexagon tsuba and green wrapping around the handle. She looked up at him through her eyelashes. Neji blinked at the rage reflecting within her eyes as she inquired, "you think I'd be stupid enough to let you use this thing?"

She spun and threw the blade far to the other side of the clearing as if it were a javelin, impaling a tree trunk with it. She then turned back to the criminal Shinigami and stated, "good luck using it on us from over there."

Aizen's eyes narrowed at her before he flash stepped and moved to strike her. She grasped his wrist and flung him over her head. He easily landed on his feet, scowling at her.

"Big bad former boss of Los Noches has a bit of a temper when he can't surprise his prey," Chiaki observed.

"You talk high and mighty, but you're not as strong as me Chiaki, how will you defend all of these humans from me?"

"They're not helpless. They just can't see you, an issue I'll soon remedy," Chiaki stated.

"Bankai; Fumetsu Hotori!"

The Shinobi watched but didn't see anything change, aside from Chiaki's body temperature seeming to increase. Neji and Hinata however saw a large bird of flame appear behind her with its wings spread as if taking flight.

"Hotori cleansing; eyes!"

At this Chiaki's eyes as well as the eyes of the others, including Akamaru appeared to be enveloped in flame, giving them all a nearly demonic like appearance.

"Cleansing?"

"Yes. The antidote to your hypnosis, my Hotori is a phoenix. I've never had to use her full cleansing and healing properties against an opponent before but if it'll keep my allies from calling prey to your illusions, I'll gladly utilize her full potential," Chiaki stated plainly.

"You need to learn to address me with respect!"

"You've given me no reason to, Aizen," she answered simply

"I am your father," he stated pointedly

"You murdered my mother and sister," Chiaki countered before adding, "thus I say again: you've given me no reason to respect you." Aizen scowled deeply at her response, and found himself unable to explain his actions to her.
