Chapter Five: Team Galactic Part 1
Danny flew high through the city to avoid the chance that the Dustox or its summoner noticed him. Despite his protection due to Gamer's Body preventing permanent injury there was a chance of the demon's spell affecting him.
He observed people lying in the streets in uncomfortable positions. And as he observed them, he noticed that their health was falling by a point every second.
"Bring up the system's information on Dustox." Danny said.
His lessons in demons are just beginning and the only ones they had started covering were fire type demons. The type of spells they could use and what they were weak to. He would increase his studies when he returned to Vocans but there were too many demons to remember, and he lacked a photographic memory.
[DUSTOX is a poison/bug type demon. Dustox is a Rank 1 demon. It is instinctively drawn to light. Swarms of this demon are attracted by the bright lights of cities, where they wreak havoc by stripping the leaves off roadside trees for food. Dustox is about three feet tall. It had a purple body with yellow eyes. Its wings are two different shades of green with orange circles in the middle. There are two yellow antenna sticking out of its head with four red arms]
[When a DUSTOX flaps its wings, a powerful poison is scattered all over. It tends to be drawn to bonfires on dark nights and is difficult to chase away from settlements]
"So, is it poisoning people or putting them to sleep?" Danny asked the system.
[It is doing both. The demon is currently using sleep power while its wings are releasing the poison.]
Sleep power is an attack spell that bug, and bug/flying type demons could use. Depending on the strength of the demon and the target the spell could take effect instantly or it could be held off for hours. Unless treated with an awakening potion the effect could last forever. There have been tales of people that have been dosed with sleep powder and they remained that way until the day that they died. The infected people would die even faster when added to a poison.
[Make sure that you only use Shagon's spells when wearing the mask.]
"Alright." Danny said as he saw that he was getting closer to his destination.
He found the Demon flying above a group of three. They looked to be a group of kids. Two boys and a girl.
"Get away." Asta yelled while swinging a big stick around.
"Don't be stupid. We have to run." Noelle said
"That stick is not going to do anything to a demon." Yuno said.
He was not wrong. The demon could kill those kids in less than a minute. Especially the one that lacked the ability to do magic. He might be the bravest of the three but he would be killed the easiest.
"Observe." Danny said as he looked at the demon.

Attack Spells [Sleep powder, Giga Impact, Swift, Psychic]
At least he knew the name of the wizard that was behind the attack. Whatever reason this Butch was attacking the city for he was going to make sure that he did not escape.
"[Zaker.]" Danny said as he pointed his fingers at the Dustox and fired a bolt of lightning.
The Dustox flew out of the way and his spell hit the ground near the group that he had been trying to save.
"Woah." Asta said in a shocked tone of voice.
"It is best that you kids get out of here." Danny said as he landed. His glare at the demon hidden by the mask.
"Are you a magic knight?" Asta asked with stars in his eyes.
[Shagon is a knight of Destruction.]
That answer would just scare people and if he was going to use this identity to help people then he needed people to believe that he was a protector. Someone that they knew they could count on when danger arose.
"In a way. I am Shagon. The knight of justice." Danny said as he shifted to point at the demon. "I have come to rid this city of the monsters that have come to attack it. You kids should find someplace safe to hide."
"We will." Noell said as she grabbed Asta's hand, and all of the kids started running to find someplace to hide.
"Dustox. Dustox." The dustox cried out as it flapped its wings.
"[Zaker.]" Danny said and fired another blast of lighting at the demon.
"This is between you and me. Leave those kids alone." Danny said to the Dustox whose dots for eyes moved in what he assumed was an angry glare.
"Dustox." Dustox cried out.
That was the thing about demons. While they were capable of communication the only thing, they could say was their own name. Somehow, demons were able to understand each other but for people the only thing they could do was make guesses.
The dustox began to glow green. It then started moving towards him faster than it was possible for it to move with its wings.
"What move is this?" Danny asked as he flew above the Dustox. Whatever move that demon just used it seemed to be on a fixed path. It might be strong, but the drawback was If the move was avoided the demon was stuck and vulnerable.
[Giga Impact. The demon charges at its opponent with every bit of power that it has.]
"[Zaker.]" Danny said again as he fired the spell at the demon.
Dustox." Dustox said as it avoided the spell again.
"Just great." Danny said. He was not used to the spell and so the time it took to fire off was too slow to hit. The only way he would be able to hurt this demon is if he cornered it and fired point blank. There had to be another way.
"What type of weaknesses do bug type demons have?" Danny asked.
[They are weak to Fighting, Ghost, Steel, Fairy, Fire, Poison, and Flying]
"Good to know." Danny said. A fireball spell might be able to finish it off, but he was trying to hide any connection between him and his true self.
"Dustox." Dustox said as it split into eight copies of itself.
"What's going on?" Danny asked himself as four Dustox formed a ring around him.
[The wizard controlling this demon seems to have noticed you.]
"Just another reason for me to hunt him down." Danny said as the Dustox and its duplicates began to glow.
[If this hits you it is going to be painful.]
He could see that. Using Giga Impact at alternate directions would increase the chances of the target being hit. If he was bound to the ground, then he doubted that he would be able to avoid this so eaily.
"Nice try." Danny said and the moment the dustox came to hit him with Giga Impact he flew above them.
[Watch out.]
The moment he flew out of the range of the demons he found out that the remaining four were prepared for that. They had flown above him and started forming golden stars that floated to the sides of their bodies. The next moment the starts started to spin.
[This spell is called swift.]
The spells were released, and the stars started racing towards him. Danny flew to the ground and place his hand on the ground.
"[Rashield.]" Danny said as an electric shield formed in front of him. Right now, it was annoying but later on he was going to but this spell. It would be fun to throw exploding golden starts at his enemy.
[Remember you have more enemies to deal with than just this.]
Right, he had forgotten about that.
[They Dustox using Giga Impact are coming at you again.]
He could feel them the moment that they crashed against the shield. He was not worried as he had more than enough mana to keep up the shield. Especially since the duplicates shattered each time that they used the attack.
[You should deal with them quickly. It would be bad for the city if they split off from you or the summoner decided you are not worth the effort.]
That was insulting but he was not wrong.
"Can you tell me which one is the real Dustox?" Danny asked.
[That one.]
He looked at the Dustox and saw one that had become a different color than the others. Its wings turned darker shades of brown.
Since he could not use his old moves it seemed that he was going to have to come up with a new one. He formed the mana in his hands like he was going to form a fireball but altered the shape. Making it longer and thinner. He aimed like he was taking aim. The bow was formed around him.
"[Spinning fire arrow.]" Danny said as he launched his spell at the odd colored Dustox.
"Dustox." The demon cried out in obvious pain and the duplicates of the demon vanished back to the summoner. When a summoned demon got hit hard enough it was sent back to the one it was bound to. A safety measure to prevent death. If it was sent back out, to battle then it its current state it would die.
"Now I need to deal with the Ursaring in the market district." Danny said.

"Ursaring!" The Ursaring shouted as it blasted through the market with a Solar Beam.
"Its time for you to hibernate for the winter." Danny said as watched stores and their products being obliterated. He landed behind the bear like demon.
"Ursaring!" Ursaring shouted as he took notice of him.
The bear like demon growled at him.
"Information on this demon." Danny said while he used observe.

[Ursaring is a Normal type demon. Ursaring is a Rank 2 demon. They spend their time in forest and grasslands. Ursarings are aggressive demons that constantly fight over territory. Once enraged they will do whatever they can to destroy their enemy. Although it is a good climber, it prefers to snap stout trees with its forelegs and eat fallen berries. Before the cold season arrives, this demon will wander fields and mountains alike in search of its favorite berries. Ursaring's hunger during this time makes it a ferocious danger.]
"[Zaker.]" Danny said as he pointed at the demon.
"Ursaring. The demon growled the moment that it was struck
[Ursaring is a normal type. They are resistant to electric spells.]
He looked at its health bar.

HP: 675/700
Great so he could hit the demon, but it would take a while for it to go down. He would have to hit it over twenty times before it was sent back to its summoner or died.
"Ursaring!" Ursaring roared with a growl leaving its mouth as it glowed red.
Danny could feel that his strength was lowering.
"[Status.]" Danny said.

"Is this permanent?" Danny asked angry at how weak he felt.
[No. Get a good rest and your strength will be back to its original value.]
"Good." Danny said as he glared at the demon.
[Too bad your own hate does not amplify your strength.]
While not in the mood for the system's comedy Danny would admit that it would have been rather useful.
While usually gaining a new spell for free would make him happy he knew that it was doing less damage than it should because of the Ursaring's growl.
The Ursaring ran at him while its arms started glowing in a glowing white light.
[That is its Hammer Arm attack.]
He was not going to let that hit him. He avoided the strike by taking to the air.
"[Zaker!]" Danny shouted as he struck down the demon whose claws had shattered the ground beneath him.
"Ursaring!" The demon shouted in anger.
"Zaker." Danny said as he repeated the spell about and about to launch another.
[You can use the same spell and spend the better part of an hour trying to take this demon down or how about you use another type?]
"What kind of spell?" Danny asked fighting the urge to look down at the demon and fry it again when he saw that it started to rise.
[How about you use a supportive spell before you try another Zaker?]
"Very well." Danny said as he looked at the spells available to him through Shagon.

Effect: This spell will amplify the str and Mp of the user X3 for one minute.
Cost 100 MP
Danny felt a smile on his face. If he used Zaker at that level it would only take five shots to defeat the Ursaring. Not counting if he decided to use his enhanced strength to attack the demon. He kind of felt tempted to punch the bear like demon.
"[Rauzarak!]" Danny shouted and felt the rainbow-colored lighting strike him. He felt stronger than he had before the demon had used growl. It was like the lightning was travelling from the top of his head down to his toes. It was like every single nerve inside of him had come to life. He felt like he could lift a house and spin it atop his fingers. He felt like he could fly through a mountain. He could also see clearer than he could before. Before the paint on the houses looked dull and old but now, he could see the different shades of color as if he could see the paint withering under time.
It sucked that at his current level he could only cast the spell four times.
[While you still feel so good you should focus on your enemy.]
Right. He had to remember why he cast the spell in the first place.
"Ursaring?" The demon asked confused.
"You are in for a world of hurt." Danny said as he could feel the power flowing through him.
Danny flew at the demon and punched it in the golden ring at the center of its stomach.
"Ursaring!" The demon shouted as it started glowing.
It looked different from the attack before, so he decided to interrupt it.
"[Zaker.]" Danny shouted as he struck the demon in the center ring.
When he had such an obvious target who was he to ignore it?
"Ursaring." The demon growled before it disappeared back to its summoner.
