A/N - Guys I am so sincerely sorry that it took me so long to write this Chapter. I had a long break because I struggled with writing this next part and had severe writer's block. I did an entire re-read of it earlier this month and re-found my love for this particular version of Langson and didn't want it to fall in to the abyss with some other Langson fics on here. I figure I have maybe 2 or 3 more chapters left and I do kind of have an idea for a 5 yr forward part 2 of this story but lets see first about just getting this one finished.
Please leave your comments, please dont demand me to "update soon", I find those comments to be a little rude and sometimes it makes me want to do the opposite, if I'm honest. The rest of the wedding night will come in the next chapter as you can imagine there's a couple of admissions to be had between Trevor and Olivia and a couple of things that need to happen on a wedding night...
Also, please forgive any errors, its after 1 in the morning and I am very close to falling asleep and wanted to post this before I nod off. Enjoy, I hope it was romantic enough...
If youre interested in another Langson fic, pls check out A New York Evening under my profile.

"Are you so happy?" Olivia asked Eloise as she stood on the hotel suite bed with a huge grin on her face, staring at her reflection in the mirror. She looked as though she might explode with joy at her tiny little white dress.
She nodded enthusiastically.
Olivia felt full of love for the almost-four year old who seemed slightly self-aware with the three women staring at her. The adorable white dress that was a tiny, mini version of Olivia's.
"I'm happy, Mommy, I look like a…princess," she replied, focusing only on Olivia, becoming a little embarrassed.
"I'm so glad you are happy my love," Liv grinned, "it makes my heart soooo full," she scooped Eloise up and balanced her on her hip. She kissed her cheek. "Mommy's gonna put on her dress and we can be twins and then we can take some photos, how about that?"
Eloise nodded, "Are you gonna be so happy too, Mommy?"
"I am. Do you know why today is so special for us?," she asked.
"Because you get to marry daddy and we'll have a party."
Olivia glanced at Erika and Joan and tried to blink back her tears, "Yeah, because I get to marry Daddy and it means that even though you have your first Mommy, it means I will stay with you and Daddy and Noah and Teddy as someone that you and Daddy chose as your other Mommy."
"Because my Mommy isn't coming back from her forever sleep?," she asked innocently.
Olivia brushed away a tear that escaped and nodded. "Yeah baby, but that's not the only reason… I love you and I will always be here for you and Noah… and Daddy too."
"And Daddy gives you a special ring and we get to dance on the beach, don't we?"
Olivia laughed, feeling Joan's hand of comfort on her back while Erika went to get some tissues for the three older women.
Olivia set Elly down and let Erika dab under her eyes with a tissue. "Ok, no more tears!" Erika told her seriously, "go get your dress on and I'll text Sonny to come in with his camera and take some photos."

Olivia came from the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror for a moment. She was wearing a Grecian style white dress as she had promised Trevor. It was single-sleeved with a light-weight cape over her exposed arm. She was happy with the way she looked, very bit of her cinched in with a little extra help of some spanx. She left her hair natural, opting for a halo of flowers for both herself and Eloise.
"You look so beautiful, Olivia, are you sure you don't want Erika to do something with your hair?"
"No," she smiled at Joan, she knew that Joan didn't understand why she wasn't interested in a giant white gown, or an over-the-top hair style but she knew Trevor would understand and appreciate that she was just being herself. She knew he preferred it when she looked comfortable and when her make up wasn't over-the-top and he had told her countlessly since they'd been together just how much he loved her natural hair. "Thanks though, but Trevor likes it like this," she said confidently.
Erika smiled at her sister-in-law-to-be. Despite Joan doing a lot better around her children, at times she often let thoughtless things fall out of her mouth but Olivia never took offence and Erika was starting to learn to do the same. Joan often caught herself as she was more aware of the weight or the harshness of her words and quickly apologised — but mostly there was only harmony between the three women.
"Your dress looks stunning, Liv, and I think the best idea we ever had was getting Elly her mini version of it," she smiled down at her niece, "look Elly, Mommy has her matching dress on now…"
Elly turned around and gasped dramatically, "Mommy! You are just like me!," she motioned to her chest as if in disbelief, "we are the same!"
"I know!" Olivia exclaimed back almost laughing, "you are just missing the pretty flowers from your hair like me, so come over here babe, and we'll put them on you and then Uncle Sonny is gonna come with Teddy and Noah and we're gonna take some pictures."
Eloise was excited, she wasted no time making her way to Olivia to finish off her outfit with the flowers as Sonny arrived with the boys.
/
"Are you okay? Nervous?" Erika asked Olivia.
Olivia shook her head, "Not bad nerves, just good nerves, excited actually." She glanced at Noah and gave his hand a little squeeze. "How are you going, babe? Are you excited for us to marry Trevor and Eloise?," she asked.
He looked at his Mom and smiled and nodded. "I know Trevor is already like my Dad but now he'll be my real Daddy and Eloise will be my real sister."
"And I'll be your real auntie," Erika added, "but honestly, Noah, we're already really those things to you and this is just a special way of celebrating it."
"Right," Liv agreed.
The wedding was to take place on the beach just as the sun was setting. It was the beach that edged their hotel which was also celebrating a large public luau for hotel patrons throughout the evening and late in to the night. Olivia knew that people wouldn't invite themselves per-se, but they'd watch them marry from a distance with curiosity and she was a little nervous about that.
She knew when she saw Trevor though, those nerves would immediately disperse.
"Are we just going to the beach, Mom?" Noah asked as they made their way down.
"Yes baby, we're only a few minutes away from the wedding," she promised him. Olivia felt her heart racing the closer she got to the beach. She avoided looking up ahead for the fear of nerves overcoming her.
"Mommyyyy, I see Trevor and Elly and he's holding Teddy, look at the liiiights!" He oohed.
As the beautiful lush grass met the sand, Olivia finally dared to look up. It was small but the people that she loved the most in the world were all there. There was a long off-white run-way that was around 10 meters long. All along it were soft, dull glowing lanterns to light her way. At the end of the run-way was Trevor before a beautiful arch of tropical flowers. His mother and Sonny stood around along with the Hawaiian celebrant. Erika handed Olivia her small bouquet of flowers.
"Go ahead and marry the crap out of my brother," she smiled, wrapping an arm around her and kissing her cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too," Liv smiled.
Erika went and stood with Sonny and her mother while Olivia and Noah waited at the end of the run-way. "You ready?" Liv asked her son knowing that he'd have absolutely no idea why she was so nervous.
"Mommy, everyone is looking at us," he giggled, sounding nervous.
"I know, babe."
"You're being funny," he told her, looking up at her, "are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay, Mom's just a little nervous for some reason."
Noah smiled at his Mom and looked over at Trevor and the rest of his family and waved with a smile. "Do you need a hug, Mommy?," he asked.
"Sure baby, I would love a cuddle from my big boy." Noah reached his arms up and Olivia smiled, and leaned over to give him a big hug and kiss. She gathered some poise before drawing away from her son. "Okay kiddo, let's do this, let's marry Trevor and Elly…"
Olivia noticed a woman sitting to the left playing an acoustic guitar.
Trevor was smiling at her at the end of the aisle. He was holding baby Teddy in the crook of his arm. He was wearing the sweetest, most adorable carbon copy of the navy suit that both he and Noah wore. Olivia couldn't help but to grin back a little bashfully. He lifted Teddy's tiny arm and waved at her.
Olivia melted.
She wasn't sure if she should begin to head toward them but the celebrant nodded at the musician and when she looked to her left, she noticed a small Hawaiian lady approaching her in a traditional hula girl outfit. Olivia smiled, her heart full of joy and pride; her nerves finally calming with her brief interchange with the man who was about to become her husband.
The small woman in the grass skirt greeted her. "The musician will play as you're walking down the aisle…" she told Olivia to clear up any confusion. "You can wait for a moment to gather yourself as she begins or you can move up as fast or as slowly as you like… your husband wanted you to know that he chose this song just for you."
"Thank you," Liv murmured. She could already hear the strumming of the guitar.
The woman stepped back a little and Olivia took a moment to compose herself as the song began.
She knew she had to try to say what was in her heart — something that ordinarily was difficult, but she had made a pact with herself that this time she would be open; she would begin their marriage without any reluctance to share her feelings; her joy and her love with the man who had shone unconditional happiness in to her life.
Trevor wanted to do traditional vows and she was fine with that, she was happy to go along with what he wanted, she didn't want to force him to make up pleasant words for the sake of saying something but they both agreed that they would add something personal only if the feeling took them in the moment.
"Don't say it's too early, because I don't want to waste the day,
When we have everything on our side, and nothing in our way…"
Olivia took a deep breath and tried to keep her emotions in check. "C'mon babe," she murmured to Noah as she listened mindfully to the song that he'd chosen. She took a few steps forward and held Trevor's gaze instantly. He was expectant and more emotional than he had thought he would be.
He instantly felt his eyes glassing over as he watched the absolute love of his life walking toward him; toward a life together cemented by their wedding vows and the title of husband and wife.
"We can do what we want to, cause today the world is ours
Nothing grey, just real time and color in which to whittle away the hours…"
He held her gaze, only briefly letting his eyes sweep over her amazing form in the most beautiful demure dress that he could only have come to expect from her. He realised that they'd both been on the same page; both of them thinking to coordinate their outfits with the kids. He had insisted on getting Noah and Teddy matching navy blue suits, brown belts and brown shoes exactly as his own.
He glanced down at Eloise who held his free hand while he held Teddy in the other arm. She wore a tiny version of Olivia's dress and he thought that it had to have been the sweetest thing he'd ever seen. He blinked away tears; the idea that he had finally met the woman who would without question love him for the rest of his life; not under duress, not out of obligation or pity or for the love of his money; but for him.
"We could speak til nothing's left unspoken, we could drive til we've run out of road,
We could drink til we've emptied the ocean, but I'd be happy here,
Happy just to hold you…"
Olivia never truly believed the day would arrive where she would have a ring on her finger; a man and children of her own to go home to every night. She never believed she would ever experience the gift of having a biological child or even the type of soul mate that she'd only ever read about or heard about from people that had constantly come and gone in her life.
She felt a tear steak down her cheek. She let go of her son's hand briefly to wipe her eye and continued to look at Trevor and not another single soul.
She knew it was right; nothing had ever felt more right in her life.
"Til the suns and the planets disappear, I could stay in your arms all year
Even if that means infinity is through, if being productive is being with you
Then baby, I don't want to waste another day…"
She was so close now, halfway down the aisle and it seemed like the entire world stood still save for the two of them. Nothing else mattered — she'd been put off at first by by-standers watching on, increasing her nerves, feeling self-conscious. She knew that all of those insecurities could be simply undone by the support of Trevor's very presence alone.
He held Eloise's tiny hand proudly within his, he held their baby who looked just a tiny bit too small for his darling suit and she knew that all of his feelings of contentedness shadowed her own.
"I'll shout aloud what I'm feeling, let my tongue be still no more,
Now I know that it's the real thing, just try to keep me quiet, oh…"
Trevor glanced at Sonny and Erika briefly as Olivia approached. Sonny was taking photos and he hadn't even noticed. He was transfixed by how beautiful Olivia looked and was so glad that she didn't look over-the-top with make up or a crazy hairstyle that wouldn't have been her.
She looked perfect— just as he had imagined.
He could see her gripping Noah's hand. Noah was waving at everyone including strangers who had stopped walking or frolicking along the beach to see the bride and groom marrying in the most intimate wedding that he was sure they'd encountered.
And truthfully, he was happier to marry her on such a beautiful island over the inside of a stuffy church. He let go of Eloise's hand briefly and felt her shyly linking her arm around his thigh. He smiled briefly at her as he looked back to Olivia, extending his hand.
"Cause we could stare until we both are blinded,
we could fall until gravity gets tired,
We could lose our love just to re-find it,
but I'm happy here, happy here beside you.."
Olivia felt him gently pulling her toward him by the wrist because her hands were busy with flowers and with her grip on Noah. They looked at one another nervously for a moment. "Breathe it out…" he whispered. Together they both took a deep breath and let it go slowly.
He smiled fondly at the woman before him. "You look so beautiful, I can barely breathe…" he remarked with a little chuckle.
"So do you…" she whispered.
She was finding it hard to breathe too. "Teddy looks so sweet," she added. Trevor looked down at their awake and alert son. He kissed his forehead.
"He does, doesn't he? He takes after his Mommy…"
The trivial conversation was taking place as a way to quell their nerves. Olivia knew that the song was almost finished and very quickly they would be beginning their life as husband and wife.
"Til the suns and plants disappear, I could stay in your arms all the years
Even if that means infinity through, if being productive is being with you
Then baby, I don't want to waste another day…"
The song came to an end and the celebrant stepped up to them. Olivia leaned forward and kissed her infant son on the forehead. She crouched down to Elly and gave her a hug and a kiss. "My beautiful girl, I love you so much, thank you for dressing like me today, you make my heart so very, very happy," she told her.
Elly hugged Olivia. She turned to Noah, "I love you so much Noah, thank you for being the best big brother and for making me so happy every single day. You are so special."
"I love you Mommy," he replied, kissing his Mom on the cheek.
Olivia let go of his hand and gave Trevor a moment to speak with Elly. "Honey, I hope you'll always remember this day," he told her, "because it's very special to me and to Mom as well, we both love you so much and I think your forever Mommy would be so proud of you." He kissed his daughter, feeling his eyes softening with emotion.
"Love you Daddy," Eloise replied, hugging her father back, surprising him. He clung to her for a moment before breaking the embrace and setting her down. He turned to Noah and took his hand after Erika and taken Elly aside.
"Hey bud, how are you feeling? Good? Happy?"
Noah nodded. "I'm excited for you to be my real Dad."
Trevor inconspicuously wiped his eyes, feeling them begin to water. "I am your real Dad. Thank you for letting me marry your Mom and for letting me be your Daddy. I love you so much, you have such a special place in my heart, Noah Benson."
"Do I get to be Noah Langan like Mommy?"
Trevor grinned at the adorable little boy who had a hold of his heart. He glanced up at Liv. She smiled tearfully too. "Of course you can, if that's what you want, babe," she told Noah.
Noah smiled at Trevor and hugged him. Trevor gave him a squeeze and let go.
Erika smiled at Noah and waved him over to where she stood with the other kids. Joan was holding Teddy and the two kids stood with Erika watching their Mom and Dad ready to exchange vows.
The tall, friendly looking man smiled at the couple. "Would you like to both proceed?," he asked, allowing Trevor the time to take Olivia's hands in his, lacing his fingers through hers.
They both nodded, stifling smiles and emotions.
The celebrant turned to the kids and the adults who watched on, "Welcome to family and friends of the bride and groom," he looked over across at other bystanders, "and anyone else who would like to get in a little closer and witness a beautiful, sincere dedication of love,"
Olivia couldn't help but to chuckle at the awkwardness of it. It made Trevor grin, he knew how she felt in that situation but to her credit, she wasn't put off.
"I might not know this couple very well, but I didn't need to meet with them for too long to recognise a very strong dedication to one another and a sincerity between them that seems rare. These two individuals share the same common outlook on life and both want to come together and make the world a happier place together for their children and their communities. I am very happy to be standing here today with New York ADA Trevor Langan and NYPD Manhattan Captain Olivia Benson to celebrate their wedded matrimony."
"Thank you," Trevor murmured, nodding at the celebrant who they had spent a little while with planning the short and sweet service.
"We are going to move forward with the vows… so I'm going to ask for the rings…"
Sonny gave Noah two small, square open boxes to carefully take to his Mom and Dad. Olivia and Trevor both took the opposing ring and Noah went back to stand with his Erika.
"Trevor William Langan, do you take Olivia Margaret Benson to be your wife?"
"I do," he nodded with a smile, not taking his eyes from hers for a second.
"Do you promise to be true to her in good times and in bad and in sickness and health?"
He nodded, "I absolutely do," he murmured as he watched her trying to bravely blink back her tears.
"To love and to honour her, all the days of your life?"
"Yes," Trevor nodded, "I do," he spoke with certainty.
The celebrant turned to Olivia and began the same questions;
"Do you, Olivia Margaret Benson to take Trevor William Langan to be your husband?"
"Yes," she said with a little chuckle, realising that her hands were visibly shaking and she was trying so hard not to drop the ring she held.
"Do you promise to be true to him in good times and bad and in sickness and health to love and honour all the days of your life?"
"Yes, I do," she replied, magnetised by the way that her fiancé looked at her, the small smile that made its way across his crooked mouth, she loved him so much in that moment.
Trevor took Olivia's hand and perched the ring above it. "Okay," he murmured, letting Olivia know he was ready too. She could see his hands shaking. She didn't feel so bad, she was trembling too.
The celebrant began, "I understand you both would like to both make a profession to one another in addition to your wedding vows, would you like to go first, Olivia?"
Already, she was choked up. She took a deep breath and took a step closer to the man who would be her husband by the end of the night. The thought was overwhelming. Trevor reached out, caressing her arm, "you don't have to say anything," he murmured, "not if it's too much."
She shook her head and took a moment to compose herself. She cleared her throat.
"Trevor," she began, carefully going over the loose rehearsal that had taken place all through the day, "you are the most special person I have ever met. You are endlessly kind, your heart is always open and you have been honest with me and your intentions from the very beginning of us finding a romantic connection. I never in my wildest imagination thought that I could ever truly open my heart to another person after all that happened in my past. You are my best friend, the person who can make me feel safe, the only person I can share my entire self with. You are my joy and my light and I am so incredibly grateful for the life that we've created together in such a short time. You are the best and most supportive father and for me, personally, you are the good part, Trevor. I've said it from the beginning; you are my heart and I love you with every bit of me."
She breathed a shaky sigh. She wiped the tears from her face and finally let her eyes focus back on Trevor. He wiped his eyes too. He drew in a deep breath and chuckled to relieve some tension.
"Don't cry, Mommy," she heard Eloise say softly. Olivia glanced at her little girl and smiled. "Its okay sweetie, I'm not sad."
Trevor waited for her. Her eyes settled back on him.
"Olivia Benson, you are quite remarkably the most wonderful human being that I know and every day that I wake up and you are beside me I am thankful. I have never met another person who is so willing to give every piece of herself and then some to anyone who needs it. You are awe-inspiring and strong and accomplished and made of the strongest stuff. I feel honoured that you can share yourself with me despite all that's in your past - that you allow me to share any of your worries, your concerns, and even the other stuff that we don't always talk about but bear together." He paused and cleared his throat, determined to get through what he had practiced saying out loud without crying or becoming too overcome with emotion.
"I love the way you love me; unconditional, understanding and with patience and bluntness when I am being too pompous or stubborn. I love you with everything that I am and I will never walk away from you, not even when things might get hard, I am yours, always."
Olivia stifled a sob. Trevor had been a little better prepared. He reached in to the inside of his jacket pocket and pulled out a handkerchief and handed it to her so she could dab at her eyes and brushed them from her cheeks. Once she had cleaned up, she handed it back to him and let him wipe his own eyes. He tucked it away in his pocket.
At the celebrant's urging, Trevor took Olivia's thin, white gold wedding band that he'd kept a secret from her — he wanted something to match her engagement ring. It was sparkled under the light from the diamonds that lined the entire way around. He knew Olivia would balk over what she would assume it cost, but he didn't care. He wanted her to always shine brightly and he wanted the wedding band he chose for her to always remind her of that.
He took Olivia's hand and slowly slid it on her ring finger and repeated after the celebrant, "Take this ring as a sign of my unconditional love, my fidelity and my dedication to being your husband. With this ring, I offer you all that I have, all that I am and all that I promise to be from this day forward."
Olivia studied the ring for a moment and looked back up at him with a tiny shake of her head knowing that they'd talk about the ring later. She took his hand and pushed the wedding band on to his ring finger and closed her fingers around his.
"Trevor, take this ring as a sign of my everlasting love and my fidelity and my dedication to being your wife. With this ring, I offer you all that I have, all that I am and all that I promise to be from this day forward."
The celebrant looked from Trevor to Olivia before smiling a huge, kind smile.
"With the power invested in me here today, I pronounce you husband and wife —" he turned to Olivia and Trevor's family, "I present to you, Mr and Mrs Langan,"
Olivia grinned briefly at their guests before turning back to Trevor, taking both of his hands in hers and stepping closer.
"And let's not forget," the celebrant finished, looking at Trevor, "you may now kiss your beautiful bride," he nodded at him.
Trevor chuckled and slid his arms around Olivia, towering over her in her comfortable flats. He was so happy; she was finally his wife. He wanted to say it over and over and he was sure that it would never really lose its impact even if he did.
She tilted her head upward to look in to his eyes. He grinned at her. "You look so beautiful, I can't believe it…" he murmured. He felt her arms around his waist. With one arm around her and the other hand cupping her cheek, Trevor kissed her warm lips. She slightly parted her own and their tongues met briefly as their mouths lingered together.
Both newlyweds could hear people clapping and cheering and it didn't necessarily only extend to their own family. They were grateful for the love from the well-wishers either passing by or watching from the very close-by luau that was taking place.
He closed his mouth, reluctant to break off their tender moment. He smiled at her again. Her cheeks glowed in a way that he'd not noticed earlier. "Are you happy?," he asked.
"So happy," she replied. "You?"
"Fully of joy," he responded, taking her hand and kissing the back of it.
Erika let the kids go; they wanted to greet their parents with hugs and kisses. Olivia and Trevor said thank you to the celebrant and greeted the kids and posed for photos with everyone.
They took care of the legal documents, signing the marriage certificate and chatting trivially with people who helped organise the ceremony.
/
"I'm not gonna toss my bouquet," Olivia told them, "but I am going to give it to you, love," she told Erika, handing it to her. "It'll be your turn soon,"
"Better be," Trevor muttered jokingly, glaring at Sonny.
Sonny laughed, "it's a matter of when not if, guys, I promise," he replied.
"Okayyyy, so Liv and I thought we might go back to our room and get a snack because both of us have been too nervous to eat today and we'll come back out to the party."
"Oh sure," Erika rolled her eyes, "a snack" she made quotes above her head. "I bet I know what snack you're about to hav-"
Joan nudged her, "Erika! Stop that!"
Trevor couldn't help but to laugh at his twerp younger sister. "Waiting for marriage was so hard though!," he joked, ignoring his mother.
"Oh give me a break," Erika scoffed leaving Olivia and Sonny shaking their head with disbelief at how stupid the siblings got at times.
"Pass me over my immaculate conception son, please, I need to hold him and cuddle him, I missed him," she grinned as she took him from Joan's arms. She put an arm around her mother in law and kissed her cheek. "Thanks for coming, Joan, I am so happy you're here. You're the best."
"I would never have missed this opportunity to officially become a mother again," she smiled. "I guess we both officially became mothers again today."
Olivia smiled back sincerely and gave her a little squeeze. "You're so kind to me and I appreciate how open-hearted you've been toward me, I appreciate you and love you so much for that."
Joan hugged Olivia back, "I love you too and thank you for making my boy so happy."
"Come on wifey," Trevor interrupted, gently putting his hand on Liv's back. "Let's go back to the hotel, have a drink, change our shoes and meet these guys back at the luau."
"Okay," she gave the kids a kiss on the cheek each. They decided to take Teddy upstairs with them so Olivia could check his diaper and feed him if necessary.
Once back upstairs she set her sleeping son down in the little port-a-cot that had been supplied to them by hotel staff. "He looks sooooo sweet in his suit, I can't believe you had that made," she chuckled.
Trevor grabbed her hand and pulled her toward him. He fell back on to the bed, sitting up, watching his new wife. "Happy wedding day," he murmured, pulling her on to his lap. Olivia smiled at him bashfully. "You are so gorgeous," she informed him. "I can't believe I have a husband…" she remarked.
He chuckled and lifted her hand with the ring on her wedding finger. "Do you like your band?"
She rose it up so she could see it better under the light. "Yes!," she exclaimed, "you should not have spent that kind of money after my engagement ring, wow… look at it sparkle."
"That's the point, I wanted it to match your engagement ring, I hope you like it and that it's not too much."
"I love it, Trevor, thank you…" she took his hand and held it in hers, surveying the ring that now adorned his finger. "You're my husband…" she murmured, "I feel so grown up," she joked.
Trevor laughed and kissed her softly, reaching up with his free hand to caress her hair. "You look so beautiful, your make up is so lovely and your hair looks gorgeous and natural and my heart when I saw that you and Eloise were dressed the same….," he sighed, "my goodness, my princess and the absolute queen of my heart…" he kissed her again.
"Are you kidding me?" She shook her head, "you should know by now that our daughter has very strong fashion ideas, it was her idea to have a matching dress with me and I thought it was so full circle because the very first time that Eloise and I hung out together without you, she insisted that we dress the same, remember?"
Trevor nodded, "Yeah… you both had your hair in two braids and then you turned up to parent day wearing jeans and a rainbow cardigans and I remember losing my shit on the inside at that…"
Olivia let out a soft laugh, "I am so happy with our life, Trevor… honestly, I am just really…" she paused, looking for the right words, "I feel a lot of emotions today because I genuinely never believed that I would meet someone who would want me… and I feel like I have to pinch myself to make sure its real."
"I know you have your reasons for feeling that way; with what happened in the past with the way you were brought up and then the man that took advantage of you when you were still a kid…. All the other assholes that didn't respect you or love you enough, but Olivia, my wife," he couldn't help but to add despite it being cheesy, "it wasn't about you, it was about them not being enough for you, you deserved better and God or the universe or whatever force is responsible for it, you didn't settle, you were saved from marrying someone who didn't recognise your worth through their own faults…"
"I always wonder … how did you see it so quickly, why did you stay," she wiped her eyes.
"Because from the second we put our stupidity aside, our stupid perceptions of one another, I realised that you were incredible. I don't get intimidated by strong women, I never felt like you should shrink to make me feel bigger, I just wanted you to be you. I want to empower you with my support, I want to just … " he shrugged, "I just want you to be happy because you and I for whatever reason just … work. We both just want the same things for one another…"
He thumbed away one of her tears. "You may not have ever been loved before in an unconditional way, Olivia, but I just made a vow down there tonight that I plan to honour, so you better just start believing it when I say that I am going to treat you with the love, patience and joy that you absolutely deserve and I am sure if your mother was still with us, she would have softened up with age and she would be a wonderful grandmother and she would be so proud of you even if she didn't always know how to express it."
"I sometimes have so much hatred toward her, you know… it's that unknowing… what it would have been like to have had a mother around who maybe I could have healed with and had the do-over that Erika and your Mom have had."
"I know baby," he murmured, "it must be really tough some days."
Olivia nodded, "mostly just the big, important days. Like, the day Teddy was born, I've been thinking about her all day today on and off… its hard to explain to Noah why he doesn't have a granddad and a grandmother, you know."
Trevor tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and listened.
She sniffed, "but, I am happy, I just wonder if she would be happy for me too."
"I'll bet she would. She would be so happy that you found someone who is willing to do just about anything to make her daughter happy." He kissed her again.
"I love you, I am so proud to be Olivia Langan," she smiled.
He chuckled, "How do you feel about that name change?," he wondered with a little smile.
"Great actually," she replied. I am so happy about it. Maybe for work I'll keep Benson, just to keep my life separate and maybe safer in that respect"
"Whatever you need…" he kissed her mouth lingeringly.
"Okay well, do you want me to order something for us to eat?," he asked.
Olivia shook her head, "No, honestly we can get food downstairs at the party, right? I just wanted to take a minute because I felt overwhelmed and I wanted to have a moment with my new husband. I don't know how people do this with a whole crowd of guests… too much pressure, I want to go downstairs and enjoy my new husband with some dancing and some food and some cocktails and then I want us to come back here and smash through a bottle of wine and have mediocre spousal sex."
Trevor laughed, "Mediocre!? Never! Well, at least I hope not… let's not get too crazy, I'll end up putting a baby in you again."
Olivia laughed and leaned in, circling her arms around his neck. "Right now I could probably be talked in to anything," she joked. "Lucky I'm still sort-of breastfeeding."
"Lucky…" he repeated, eyeing off her beautiful soft lips. "Mmmm," he hummed against them as he aligned his mouth hers. "I love you so much."
"Love you too!"

Trevor had shed his jacket and Olivia shed the little sheer bit of cape around her dress and he had Teddy swaddled close in to his chest. He smiled to see a hotel greeter circle a lei over Olivia's head and carefully put one over his own neck, arranging it so it wasn't to touch or wake Teddy.
"Thank you," he said with a slight bow at the very small woman in a grass skirt.
He took Olivia's hand and together they made their way in to the party. "Okay on a scale of one to pass-out drunk, what are we aiming to achieve here tonight?" Trevor asked her, taking her warm hand in his, kissing it.
Olivia grinned at her husband, "Lets put it this way, if I don't get a DUI from walking back to our hotel room, we haven't hit this party hard enough."
They both shared a laugh. "This," he said, putting an arm around her waist, "this is why I love you, you are funny and also not scared of pushing your body to the limit," he joked.
She winked at him, "No I am not,"
"And apparently you have the mind of a 14 year old boy," he added with more laughter. She spotted Noah bolting over to her. He had lost his shoes somewhere and was barefoot in his blue suit pants which they were about to offer him a substitute for and a white button down shirt that both Trevor and Olivia knew would be covered in food and the signs of a good night by the time they went to bed.
She swept her son up in her arms, "Babbeeeeeee!," she greeted him, noticing Sonny and another boy lingering around, "how is my big boy, Noah Langan!"
"I'm good Mommy," he wriggled down again, "mommyyy I made friends with some other kids and we're playing chasing,"
Trevor grinned, "hey bud that sounds like fun, but stay where we can see you okay? Don't go running very far away from Grandma or the rest of us."
"Okay," he said, "I promised Grandma I'd stay here, I just wanted to say hiiii," he grinned cheekily.
"Wait babe," Olivia smiled and waved at Noah's new friend who trailed behind. "Where's your sister?"
"She's with Auntie Ezzie, she was crying because she's a baaaabbyyy,"
"I am not a baby!" Eloise appeared on Erika's hip as she approached them frowning at Noah.
"Don't call your sister a baby," Trevor told him seriously, "you can go and play but remember to stay close and if you would like a drink or something to eat, come and ask first, okay?"
Noah nodded and ran off a short distance to the dance area to dance with a couple of the other kids.
"Don't get in anyone's way or you'll have to come and sit down!," he called after their son.
"Hi honey," Olivia greeted Elly. "Why were you sad?"
"She was upset because she didn't realise you and Trev were coming back and she wanted to see her Mommy and spend time together with your matching dresses."
Olivia smiled at Elly and put her arms out to take her. "Come on, you little nut, come hang out with Mommy, maybe Daddy and Uncle Sonny will get us all a drink and we can dance a little with auntie Ez, would you like that?"
"Yessssssss,"
Trevor laughed, "what would you like to drink sweetheart?" He asked.
"Anything except vodka, maybe a nice cocktail, something fruity," Olivia replied.
"And nothing milky," he added with a smile realising that he knew her so well.
He kissed her and kissed Eloise. "I love you both so much, see you soon."
He turned to his sister, "I guess I have to love you too, you're my sister," he winked at her and gave her a kiss on her forehead.
"Let's go have a dance, do you want to do that, babe?" Liv asked her daughter, Eloise nodded emphatically as they made their way to the stage area where drums were being beat in a rhythm that made her want to move.
She set Elly down and took Erika's hand and Elly's hand, creating a little circle between the three of them. Both Erika and Olivia did their best to entertain Elly, spinning her and swaying with her and finding their silly streak.
"Here you go love," Trevor came to Olivia and handed her a Long Island Ice Tea.
"Ooh, thanks that looks so good," she took it from him and smiled.
Erika picked up Elly to give them some time alone, "come on munchkin, let's go find uncle Sonny and make him dance with us!"
"Yeah!" Elly exclaimed.
"Uncle Sonny is on his way with drinks," Trevor informed them, holding on to his own tropical cocktail but they weren't listening, they were already making their way to find him.
Olivia took a big gulp of the ice tea and widened her eyes, "Wow, that is … something," she chuckled.
"I asked them to omit the vodka," Trevor replied with a little smile, "so you may have got a little extra tequila," he took a mouthful of his own drink and put an arm around her waist and gently swayed her in time with the music as they watched the drummers and the dancers on the stage.
Everything was so beautiful and perfect and exactly as she expected her wedding to be. A quiet, down-scaled affair in a tropical place. She leaned her head on his shoulder for a moment, just taking stock. Trevor felt it too, he turned his head and pressed his lips against her temple, lingering for a moment.
Olivia took another sip of her drink and looked up at him. "Let's throw down our drinks and spend some time with everyone and then when your Mom takes the kids to bed we can dance and do whatever else…"
"Get really wasted and go back to our room and have fantastic sex?," he asked.
She chuckled, "Maybe not too drunk then…"
Trevor kissed her lips, tiling her chin to meet his mouth. "Let's just enjoy this night, I've been so excited for this night for months, you have no idea…"
She grinned, "Me too," she told him, "kiss me again," she commanded.
He smiled and leaned in for a second kiss. She loved his beautiful, piercing pale-green eyes. "Again," she giggled.
He drew her in close, pressing his body against hers and kissed her a little more softly, letting his tongue graze hers lightly. "Mmmm," she murmured, "that's the stuff," she laughed again.
"Olivia Langan, you are already becoming a demanding wife, what have I gotten myself in to?," he teased.
They both laughed. Olivia was eager to unwind a little. She closed her eyes, ignoring the taste and took a few mouthfuls of what was a very, very strong drink. She let it settle and tried not to pull a face.
"Shit, I better keep up." He followed her, sinking the purple-ish cocktail down. "Cheers baby," he clinked glasses with her and they drank until their glasses were almost empty.
"I feel like you really made sure I had the stronger drink," Olivia accused him good-naturedly, feeling it go straight to her head. "I think I better eat something."
He slid his hand in to hers and agreed. They went to find his Mom and everyone else so they could sit down and talk and hang out.
/
"I don't know why, but I always assumed you'd been married before…" Joan laughed, directing her comment to Olivia.
Olivia shook her head and smiled, "nope, no marriage for me. I was kind of engaged once a very, very long time ago but that really wasn't serious."
Trevor covered her hand with her wedding and engagement ring with his own and curled his fingers around hers, giving them a squeeze.
"Enough grilling, Liv, Mom," Trevor cut in, "you had plenty of time to do that before we got hitched," he smiled at Olivia.
"Its okay baby," she replied. He could tell that she was tipsy.
"Here you go!" Erika put another drink in front of Olivia. "One Long Island Ice Tea, minus the vodka."
"Thanks love, I love you! You're the best."
"I know," Erika flicked her hair and smiled. Sonny was close behind with a drink for himself and Trevor while Eloise held on to the back of his shirt.
"Come over here, my love," Olivia greeted her toddler. "Come give Mommy some snuggles; it's almost time for bed…"
Joan had told them that she would take the children with her for bed shortly.
"Aww but Mommy, I don't want to go to sleep yet." Olivia smiled, glancing down at the tiny grass skirt that she was wearing over the top of her dress that one of the hotel staff had given her. She was wearing several lei's that people happily gave her. She was proud of each one.
"I know, you've had such an exciting night…" she lifted Eloise up and pulled her in to her lap. "Look at all these beautiful flowers, you're such a lucky girl, people were so kind to you."
"I know Mommy," she smiled, climbing over Olivia, kneeling in her lap, taking her Mom's face in her cheeks. "Can we go in the pool tomorrow?," she asked, "I didn't get to swim today."
Trevor laughed at his daughter squeezing Liv's cheeks. Olivia didn't flinch, she wrapped her arms around Elly and drew her in. "Maybe, tomorrow you're gonna spend the day with Grandma and Auntie Ez and Uncle Sonny…"
She gasped, "No, mommy, I'm gonna spend with you and Daddy."
"Mommy and Daddy are going to have a little holiday on their own and you and Teddy and Noah are gonna hang out with us."
Eloise frowned at her grandmother, "I don't want to," she told her grumpily before turning back to Olivia, "Mommy I could just stay with you and Daddy," she said sweetly, pressing her nose against Olivia's.
"God she's like you, Erika…" Trevor shook his head with a laugh, "so manipulative with those big eyes…"
Erika chuckled as she sipped her cocktail, slipping her arm around Sonny.
"I still personally can't say no to those eyes…" Sonny added with a laugh.
"Baby, Grandma and Auntie Ez and Sonny are going to have so much fun planned for you kids tomorrow and Mommy and Daddy are gonna be so boring. We are gonna sleep all day."
"Mmmm…sure, sleep," Erika remarked.
"Erika!" Joan exclaimed.
Trevor grinned and took a sip of his beer. "Yeah, sure sleeping," he added in solidarity.
They both laughed and Erika realised that her older brother was a little drunk.
Olivia smirked and rolled her eyes. "Wouldn't you rather hang out with Grandma and your brothers? It seems more interesting, I know what I'd rather be doing," she smiled, realising Eloise was a little confused.
"You could come with us though, Mommy," she offered sweetly.
"Aww, yeah I could, but I can't… I have to sleep. It's the rules after a wedding, the Mom and Dad have to spend the day on their own without kids. We don't like breaking the rules, do we?"
Slowly and regretfully Eloise shook her head. "No," she focused on the necklace that Olivia wore — it belonged to her mother, she wanted to have a piece of her with her on her special day. Elly traced her finger along it. "I like your necklace Mommy,"
"Thanks baby. Why don't you sit here with me and cuddle and close your eyes and rest." She could read Eloise's cues and could tell when the little girl was tired.
"Okay but just for a minute because I have to go dance with my brother."
"Okay, if you close your eyes for five minutes, you can dance with Noah," Liv bargained with her.
"I think…." Trevor began slowly, "I am gonna say this and I don't want anyone to say anything disrespectful in front of her," he nodded at his daughter who had curled in to Olivia's neck, resting her head on her shoulder and wrapped her arms around her. "When Helena was well she was a great Mom and also a great friend to me after she and I split and got past the initial resentment… She really wanted me to meet someone else-"
"Until you met someone else," Erika muttered.
Trevor held up his hand to her, "I know you see things from a protective point of view, Ez, I get it, you have your own reasons to feel like that, but truly, if we put aside her problems, Helena had a good heart and she wanted me to be happy and as far as I'm concerned letting me go when she wasn't in love anymore was a kind thing to do… because it allowed me to meet Liv in a different circumstance and I truly think that out of anyone she could have chosen to step in for Eloise, she would have been so happy with you, Olivia."
Olivia stared in to her new husband's eyes for a moment. "I hope you're right about that… It's all I can hope."
"You never tried to be her mother and you have never breathed a bad word about Helena to any of us and you always encourage Eloise to talk about her and you don't get awkward or sad if Elly brings her up… it's not an awkward secret or an uncomfortable situation for you and I know that free of any resentment, any addiction, Helena would love you for that, for being so open and so loving to our daughter and for just understanding…" Trevor spoke as Sonny and Erika took a seat across from them with Joan.
He reached over, letting his fingers lose themselves within her hair, smoothing her cheek with his thumb. He gave her a smile. He would have never made such a statement in front of his family, but he alcohol made him a little more open with them all.
"So thanks, love, for all that you do and for taking Elly with an open heart every single day and never ever treating her any different to the way you treat Noah."
Olivia smiled at him, regarding him with eyes at softened at the corners from his kind words. "Of course…"
"You really are a special woman, Olivia Langan," Joan added.
She turned to Trevor's mother, feeling her husband's fingers absently grazing the spot at her nape that was slightly ticklish but also comforting and assuring.
"Thank you, Joan, that's so kind of you to say, but I think whatever I am is only matched by your special son." She glanced back at Trevor and smiled.
It was clear that Eloise had fallen asleep almost instantly. She went to say something else but Elly interrupted her by sucking in a deep breath and sighing with contentment, falling in to a deep sleep. She pressed her lips against the little girl's warm forehead. "I do love her so much," she murmured, "she is going to be a force to be reckoned with when she grows a little more."
They all chuckled knowingly.
"But seriously, I think I need to say that…" she glanced around and focused on Noah. They had all been keeping their eye on him, no one letting him out of sight. He was playing with some other kids on the lush grass. He had discarded his little jacket which sat with Joan and they'd brought a pair of navy blue shorts for him to change in to. "That you, my love, have always had Noah at heart from the second that he entered my life, even before you had me in your heart," she smiled at him, realising that she was about to cry. She leaned over and took a long, generous sip of her Long Island Iced Tea before she continued.
"I know that you," she turned to Sonny, "and you… you know what happened to me…" she turned to Erika and Joan, "with work…I had a situation with an assailant," she cleared her throat.
"You mentioned it, but you never went in to detail…" Erika remarked.
"Baby, its okay you don't have to get in to it to make your point," Trevor said gently knowing that it was a very hard subject to broach.
"No, its okay I want to say this, we are all here and we're all family and I'm working on holding less stuff in…" she paused, "because … I'm not alone anymore and I can rely on you all…" she added.
"Always," Joan said with a small smile and Erika and Sonny agreed.
"I was tortured by a violent criminal for three… almost four days and I eventually incapacitated him and the state that I left him in was a little… contentious," she added softly. She wiped her eye, catching the tear before it fell. "And he escaped from prison not too long after and kidnapped me again and a little girl as well, it wasn't as bad in terms of physical violence but he killed himself and made it look like I'd done it so …. There was a huge trial and I almost lost Noah," she explained, "I almost lost everything, my shield, my son… my life as I knew it… I was still trying to put everything back together mentally and physically from the first kidnap."
"Oh my gosh, Olivia…" Erika murmured, "I didn't realise it was that bad…"
Olivia said nothing for a moment and paused to take another long drink. "It wasn't fun," she agreed.
"Thank goodness you were okay and you still managed to go back to work and continue to climb the ranks, Liv, you are such a strong person," Joan added.
"Thanks…" Liv said slowly, avoiding eye contact with Sonny, "But I guess why I'm bringing any of it up — because, believe me, I rarely do," she spoke her words like a breath of air leaving her mouth, "is because Trevor stepped up, it's when we actually went from foes to friends, right?"
He smiled and nodded, swiping a tear that run from her eye. "Yes. You went through so much and I just wanted to help. I'd already helped you adopt Noah."
"I know but that's the point…" she replied, "you just stepped in and I don't ever calling and asking you to defend me after him…" she glanced at her family, "ever since we got together, I've always said that his best quality is that I never have to ask him to do stuff, he always sees what we all need as a family and gets it done without complaint; emotionally or… physical tasks… and when I had to take the stand and defend myself, he was there without question and fought tooth and nail for my job, for Noah— and Noah loved him…"
Trevor was unable to hold back his grin. "He was so cute," he remarked, "and so smart, he still is… you were such a good Mom, Liv, I wasn't gonna let that sub human win."
"Thank you," she smiled at him, "for not letting him win and for being Noah's Dad. I think arguably you've been even more open-hearted and more welcoming of all of our baggage."
"It's not a pissing contest, Liv…" Erika told her with a little laugh. "Noah is an absolute angel… he really isn't hard to fall in love with."
Olivia smiled, "it does extend to you guys too, Noah has family beyond me now and that's so important for him. And Sonny," she smiled at the detective that she hadn't been entirely sold on at first, "Sonny used to take Noah to play catch with another detective, he's always loved his uncle Sonny."
Sonny smiled at Liv. "He's not in to catch as much as he is in to climbing at the moment, but Ez and I cherish our time with the kids, don't we, sweetheart?," he asked her.
"Of course… and we are so grateful for you Liv and for Noah too…"
"Mommy, are you sad?" Noah asked, surprising her by coming up beside her, watching her wipe her eyes.
"No… babe," she replied, putting her free arm around her son and drawing him close. "Its happy tears again," she kissed him. "We were talking about how much we love you and Elly and Teddy…"
Noah smiled, "Hmm" he replied, "Elly is sleeping and Teddy is sleeping…"
"Where did your friend go, kiddo?" Trevor asked him as he made his way over to Trevor. Trevor lifted him up in to his lap.
"He had to go to bed because his Mommy said that the party here is gonna be for grown ups soon."
"His Mom was right, Grandma already decided to stay longer so you guys could play for longer, but its almost time for sleep, I think."
"Just five more minutes?" Noah asked hopefully looking from his father to Joan, holding up his hand with each finger spread apart.
"Ooft, bud you drive a hard bargain, maybe just five more minutes," Trevor smiled at him.
"Noah what did you think of Mom and Dad's wedding? Sonny asked him as Teddy began to fuss.
"I loved it." Noah replied, "it was so much fun and the party that they threw for Mommy and Daddy is fun too!"
They all laughed, realising that the kids thought the luau was in honour of their married parents. No one bothered to tell him different. "Yeah?" Sonny pressed, "what was your favourite part?"
"I liked it when Mommy and Daddy said I can be Noah Langan too so I'm not left out when Mommy is Olivia Langan."
"We'd never leave you out!" Olivia told her son. "When you go to your new school you will be Noah Langan."
"And everyone will know that I have a Mommy and a Daddy," he remarked proudly. Trevor couldn't help but to cuddle his son warmly and give him a little squeeze.
"That's right buddy," Trevor nodded. "And a brother and a sister and an uncle and aunt and a Grandma…"
"Yeahhh…" Noah agreed.
"We're all so lucky to have each other," Joan added as she gently bounced her infant grandson to get him to settle. She smiled in to the light sheet he was wrapped in. "My little handsome baby boy, and my beautiful baby girl," she turned to Noah, "and my handsome big boy," she smiled at him. "I am so happy to be your grandma, did you know that?"
He nodded, "I love that you are my grandma, and you are my aunt," he nodded at Erika "and Uncle Sonny has always been my Uncle but I love you uncle Sonny…."
Sonny laughed, "I love you too, kiddo. You are so sweet."
"Okay, I think I'll take the kids up now," Joan announced, "give you guys some time to have young people fun."
Olivia and Trevor laughed.
"Why don't I come and help you with the kids?" Olivia opted.
"No, no… it's fine, you stay here," Sonny said quickly, "Ez and I will go help get them to bed and come right back to party with you two."
Olivia and Trevor said their goodnights and thank you to Joan and waved at Noah as Sonny carried Elly and Erika and Noah walked hand-in-hand back to the rooms.
/
"Are you all good, love?" Trevor asked, "that conversation got a little heavy."
"I'm fine baby," she replied, "something I'm working on in therapy is not keeping everything so bottled up because it…" she paused as if she was searching for the right word, "it feels like poison inside of me sometimes and I've learned that letting it out in the right moment feels like purging it and I feel a little better each time… but obviously within reason, it's still…so personal and traumatic but, step by step, huh?"
"I'm proud of you…" he remarked, "from how tightly you bound it up inside of you when we met. I know you fight to say it sometimes, to really use the words and give it flesh, but each time you do I am so deeply proud of you," he smiled.
"Thanks… I think I kind of got lost in what I was trying to say, but what I wanted you to know that what you have done for Noah is above and beyond and I don't think he will ever see you as anything but his father and I dont think he will ever consider that you're not biologically his Daddy."
"I hope not."
"I love you so much, hubby," she told him, leaning over to kiss him. He kissed her back.
"I love you too, thanks for marrying me, you're my forever, Olivia…" he kissed her again.
He took her hand and gave her a gentle pull in to his lap. She loved how tall he was. She wasn't particularly short and yet still he dwarfed her when she sat on his thighs. She wrapped her arms around his neck and cuddled him. It was a warm night and the alcohol was making her warmer.
"I got a crazy idea," Trevor began, "we should do a few celebratory shots…"
Olivia began to laugh. "Seriously?"
"Sure, why not? I never got to be that drunk and reckless when I was younger, I was always taking care of Ez and then Helena…" he explained, "I want to let loose with my amazing wife."
Olivia lifted herself from his shoulder and looked him in the eye and grinned conspiratorially. "Okay but I get to choose the shots…"
"Shit okay but no tequila," he said with seriousness. They both respectively finished off their drinks.
Olivia took Trevor's hand as they heard a voice. "Hey guys, sorry to interrupt…"
Trevor turned to find a man who had a woman holding her phone standing close to him.
"Hi," Liv smiled, Trevor greeted them too.
"I hope this doesn't sound stalkery," the woman interjected, "we just wanted to say congratulations on your wedding from before." The woman was shorter and looked Polynesian while the man with her looked as though he was mixed race.
"Oh my goodness," Trevor remarked, "that's so nice, thank you so much!"
Olivia grinned, "Thanks,"
"I uh… I took a couple of photos before when you were dancing," she paused, "I'm a photographer, if that makes it seem less creepy," she chuckled. Her husband or partner beamed at her, putting an arm around her proudly. "You both just looked so happy and they actually turned out so amazing with the lighting and I just wanted to show you… but felt … weird so my husband here," she nodded to him, "said he'd approach,"
"And now we can't shut you up," her husband said good-naturedly.
"What!? Are you kidding? That's not weird, that is so kind of you. I would love to see!"
"Wow," Trevor remarked, it was a little confronting to have people taking photos of them without them even realising but it was harmless and he knew despite it sounding slightly creepy, photography was her art.
"Yeah?" The woman laughed and placed her hand on her chest in relief, "thanks for not thinking I'm strange."
"You're not strange, honey, you just know how to set up a good shot when you see it," her husband assured her.
"Absolutely!" Trevor agreed.
The woman plucked out her phone and opened up her photo gallery and showed them maybe half a dozen photos of them. She was right, the lighting behind them from the stage as they stood close staring at each other with small smiles looked great. The final photo was a soft kiss between them.
"Wow, they're beautiful." Olivia murmured. "Could we buy them from you?"
"No!" She exclaimed, "no of course not, I would be so happy to edit them a little and email them to you."
"We could pay you, its your work and time," Trevor added.
"No," she said sincerely, "please, I just need an email address…" she insisted.
After exchanging some small talk, Olivia gave the woman her email address and she promised to forward the photo on within the next day.
"That was so nice," Trevor murmured as they made their way to the bar, "people can be so surprising and kind."
"I know," Olivia smiled. She turned to the barman. "Hi!" She knew she was a little drunk and giddy already, the last cocktail hit her hard. "Could you suggest a whisky shot for us, please?" She winked at Trevor.
"Damn my head is gonna hurt in the morning…" he remarked.
"I could make you both a silver bullet. Its equal parts gin and whisky with a little lemon juice."
"Yeah that'll do, let's go with that," she replied slipping her hand in to the little purse she had. Before Trevor could figure out what she was doing, she touched someone's arm to get their attention.
"Excuse me," she began when the woman turned to her, a little surprised. "Could I ask a tiny favour?"
"Uh sure," the girl looked like she was in her early 20s. She had another young woman with her. Trevor had no idea what Olivia was doing. He thanked the bartender and paid for the shots.
"My husband and I literally just got married and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a pic of us with our shots and then taking a little video of us chugging them."
The girl laughed, "Of course! Congratulations by the way!"
"Liv! I don't need video evidence of this!," he laughed, "I'm sorry girls, she's drunk…"
"No I'm not, I need to show my detectives that I can have fun too," she replied with a little laugh.
Trevor obliged her. Taking his shot glass from her. They both posed for a pic by the bar and the girl nodded at them once she began recording. They clinked the glasses in a cheers before sinking the liquid on the count of three. The girls giggled watching both of their faces sour before they both laughed.
The girl hit stop and handed Olivia her phone back. "This is the kind of wedding night I need with my man," she told them both, "getting lit after the ceremony and not having to worry about lots of guests. Congratulations guys."
"Thanks!" Olivia grinned at her. "I appreciate it…"
Trevor thanked them too. "How do you feel?"
"Fine, but it hasn't hit me yet," she replied. She took his hand and guided him to the front of the stage where a cover band were playing. "Oh, I love this song…" Trevor smiled, "I know it's cheesy, but its sweet…"
She grinned and he couldn't help but to notice that there was something so sloppy and cute about her smile, a certain tension completely lifted, she looked so light and carefree and her behaviour was completely uninhibited. "It's totally cheesy but I love that."
He wrapped his arms around his new wife, feeling suddenly engulfed by the shot they'd just done. "When a maaaaan, loves a woman….," she sang in to his ear. He laughed and enjoyed the moment, rocking her gently in his arms from side to side.
Olivia felt his hands on her hips, sliding around until he was almost entirely holding her backside. She didn't care. For once she didn't care about anything except just how much she loved her husband and how lucky she felt.
"Hey…" she said softly.
"Uhuh?"
"Don't get too crazy drunk, I still want us to make proper use of that hotel bed later…"
"Why would being drunk affect whether or not we have sex?," he asked quizzically, grabbing her shoulders.
She laughed, "I need you to be on your best efforts…"
"Ohhhhhh," he laughed, "that won't a problem. It's never been an issue for me, promise."
"Well then… put your hands back on my ass, hubby, because I like the way they feel."
He grinned at her and let his hands slide their way to the very small of her back. He drew her in and enjoyed dancing with her — something they'd never done together. He felt her head resting upon his shoulder and her hands sliding around him.
They danced for a little while together until their shots had well and truly sunken in and both were on the cusp of being undeniably drunk.
"Should we have another drink?" Trevor asked as the song ended.
"Sure," Olivia replied, "maybe we can take it down there…" she nodded to the edge of the beach, "and sit down, I'll text Ez and let her know we aren't too far."
"Okay, you do that, I'll get us something from the bar." He paused to kiss her lips, leaving her with her phone as they both left what was loosely considered the dance floor.
Olivia wasn't afraid to admit that coordinating her fingers with the phone's touch screen proved to be difficult.
Trevor joined her with two Mai Tai's as they walked hand-in-hand down to the beachfront where it was darker and the music wasn't as loud.
Trevor sat first and took Liv's drink and then took her hand, helping her down on to the grass in a spot between his legs. "I hope you don't get grass stains on this dress…" he murmured, smoothing it down gently.
"I don't care, I don't want to be precious. I'm married now, I want to enjoy my wedding night with my man."
He handed her a drink. "Cheers to my amazing, beautiful, stunning, sexy, kind, compassionate and sweet wife."
"Cheers to my husband, the nicest and best looking dazzling man that I have ever encountered."
They clinked glasses and took long sips on their drinks before setting them aside. "I do so love you and I can't believe how much. I could tell you a thousand times a day…." Trevor murmured, making out her beautiful chocolate orbs in the very dimly light.
"Stoppppp," she begged half-heartedly but they both knew she loved it. "I love you too, so much…"
He slipped his arms around her and let her settle against his chest as they watched the waves crash against the shore. "How wonderful is this, this is exactly how I imagined our wedding…" she said softly breathing a sigh of content.
She felt Trevor's warm lips upon her temple. "I am so happy that you're happy, love."
She rested her hands on top of his and felt him left them from her so that she could thread her fingers through his. They listened in silence to the music behind them that was a dull drum beat with some mediocre singing but it was drowned out by the water's violence against the sand.
"What are you thinking about?" Trevor asked finally, wondering if maybe she'd dozed off.
"Just how at peace I feel," she replied. She turned her body to face him and smiled. She took her drink and had a mouthful. Trevor let his eyes travel over her cherry-red lips that were a little damp and cold from the drink. He took her cheeks in his arm hands and pressed his mouth against hers.
After a soft lingering kiss, Olivia made eyes at him; she reached up to cover his hands with hers, letting her hands fall to his wrists then travel up until she reached his shoulders. She aligned her mouth with his again and let her eyes fall shut. She felt his tongue invite itself in to the warm cavern between her lips. She whimpered as she felt the tip of it ignite feelings within her core that she hadn't been prepared for.
Maybe it was the romantic side of him that he always showed but had especially pulled out the stops on their wedding night — or maybe it was the alcohol or a mix of both. Either way, Olivia wasn't complaining. She kissed him back eagerly, biting her fingers in to the fabric of his button down top that he'd rolled up to his elbows.
Trevor worked his lips against hers, passionate and warm and pulled her body as close as he could and let his hands wander over her shoulders, down her back until he slipped his hands beneath her backside and drew her on to his lap.
Olivia pressed her body against his, letting his kisses travel from her lips down her jawline to her neck. She closed her eyes as she felt his tongue working on the soft spot just below her ear that made her hair stand on end and instantly aroused her. "What are you trying to do to me right now?" She chuckled in a soft, low voice that made him aware of just how in to it she was.
She felt the vibrations of his body as he laughed too. She took his hand that rested on her collarbone and dragged it over her breast languidly. "Liv," he laughed, "come on…"
"Yeah, that's right… come on…" she angled herself in such a way that no one would be able to see him touching her intimately.
She felt his body laughing against her but indulged her, running his hand along the curve of her breast, letting it fill his hand. She let out a soft hiss of pleasure as she grabbed his chin, guiding him back to her mouth.
Her tongue invaded his mouth and he could feel her want and her urgency. He felt himself giving in and slowly his inhibitions came undone. He tossed caution to the wind, not caring who could see them making out. They were in a dimly lit area and it was their wedding night, people expected them to be a little over-the-top.

"Uhh, I think I found your brother…" Sonny announced to Erika as they looked around everywhere and had began to walk toward the beach.
"Oh my gosh," Erika started to laugh, "they are shameless! Trevor acts so proper and look at him! He is so inappropriate!," she giggled, "he is totally groping her!"
"Oh jeez…" Sonny averted his eyes for a second feeling weird about watching his boss and now sister-in-law making out passionately.
Erika was loving the fact that the two most responsible people she knew had tossed all of their personal decorum out the window and were probably going to start dry humping if she didn't intervene.
"Is she-no, no… we can't approach!" Sonny hissed at her.
Erika let out a burst of laughter when she saw Olivia reaching down to her brother's pants.
"Olivia Margaret Langan!" Erika hissed with mock-outrage, startling Liv from around six or so feet away.
Both Olivia and Trevor let go of one another like two deer caught in headlights. "Trevor! You are both in public! You should be ashamed of yourselves."
"Get lost, Erika," Trevor muttered. She turned to Sonny to find that he wasn't there, he'd started walking in the other direction, not wanting any part of the conversation.
Olivia laughed, her cheeks red. She wasn't sure if Erika was kidding but she couldn't stop. The stupidity of being caught just as she was trying to unzip Trevor's fly.
"I will not get lost, you two are so drunk and someone needs to be the grown up, people can see you!," Erika couldn't help but to laugh at Olivia who had lost it.
"Stop laughing!" Trevor grinned at Liv, knowing she had hit the silly point of drunk.
"I think you need less alcohol and a little water… Sonny and I are back anyway, come and join us where we can make sure you wont get arrested for public indecency."
"Oh my gosh, you're crazy…" Olivia replied, finally calming down. Trevor, despite his initial pleas for his sister to go away, was amused and in a good mood. Ignoring Erika, he leaned in and kissed Olivia again.
Forgetting her for a moment, Olivia smiled at her husband and cupped both of his cheeks in her hands and kissed him a second time, letting it linger.
"Are you guys serious?!," she shook her head in disbelief but couldn't help but to feel happy for them both despite her surprise by both of their very open display of affection.
"As a kick in the ribs," Olivia replied without looking up. "You are so fucking gorgeous, Trevor Langan, how the hell did I manage to work with you all those years without wanting to smash…."
"That's it, I'm going to find Sonny at the bar, if you both get arrested for having sex in a public space, I'm not bailing either of you out."

Olivia did decide to have a glass of water to neutralise all of the alcohol. Trevor was drunk, but not nearly as much as Olivia. "Baby," he began, making sure Olivia was comfortable beside his sister, "are you gonna be okay here? Sonny just surprised me with some cigars, we're gonna go have a whisky and a cigar, you cool with that?"
She laughed at the idea of him smoking a cigar. "Really? Never saw you as a cigar type…" she giggled which made Erika laugh too.
Trevor grinned, "Sure, why not?"
"Okay…enjoy it. Erika and I will do our own male bonding… female bonding," she corrected herself with a slight slur.
"You keep drinking that water to sober up just a little so we can dance when I get back."
"Okay, love you," she smiled. He leaned over and kissed her.
"Love you more, wifey," he smiled back, pausing to let his eyes linger over her. She looked a little sleepy and a little goofy and it was just another side of her that he was able to fall in love with. He'd never quite experienced drunk Olivia before. He tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and kissed her again.
"These two are really something' else, aren't they?" Sonny asked his girlfriend rhetorically.
"Mmm they're something," she replied to him making a grossed out face.
Sonny laughed, "We'll be back soon sweetheart," he told her. He kissed her forehead and Trevor followed him down toward the beach away from the crowd, not wanting to bother anyone with the smoke from the cigars.

"Is this what you pictured your wedding night to be like?" Erika asked, looking around at the people, all adults now, dancing and intermixing and drinking.
Olivia shrugged as she finished off a glass of water and poured herself another from the jug, moving slow so she didn't spill anything. "I didn't picture a wedding for myself, so, probably no… but this is actually perfect for me."
"You really didn't want a white wedding in a church full of all your loved ones?"
Olivia couldn't help but laugh at the stupidity of the idea. "My favourite place in the world is the ocean and as far as I'm concerned, I had a white wedding in the most comfortable dress I've ever owned with all of my loved ones. If I married in a church in a traditional way, Trevor's side of the pews would be full of guests and my side would have like three people because I don't have family and as it turns out, I don't have a great deal of friends."
"Oh, sorry…" Erika said softly, "I didn't think of that, so actually this was what you wanted."
Olivia nodded, "this is what I asked for, just my kids and our closest family to be there… its hands down been the happiest day of my life," she said, realising the truth behind her words as she said them out loud.
"Oh, Liv," Erika grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "That makes me so happy for you both… that you've both found each other, you deserve all the happiness in the world and I am so proud to say that you're my sister."
Olivia said nothing but held out her arms to Erika, letting the gesture say it all because she knew if she spoke she would cry. She hugged Erika tightly and held on to her for a few moments before letting go. "I love you, I know you're a grown up, but I want you to know I'm always here and even though you're 30, you're still my baby sister forever and ever and I will protect you, maybe in a different way to Trevor, but whatever you need from me, you can always come to me for it."
"Thanks Olivia, my only regret is that you weren't with Trevor five years ago, I could have done with someone like you in my life, on my side."
"We all go through what we go through for a purpose, I have to believe that," Olivia replied, letting go of Trevor's sister.
Erika nodded. "Anyway… I hope you know I was only kidding when I was giving you and Trevor a hard time back there…" she nodded down to the beachfront.
Olivia laughed, "I know,"
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I would have preferred to not witness my brother grope you, or you trying to get to his junk-"
Olivia smacked her hand over her mouth not realising she'd seen. "I'm sorry!"
"Don't be sorry," Erika was able to laugh. "I'm not an idiot, I'm sure you guys can't keep your hands off each other, I can tell by the way he's constantly looking at you like you're his next meal," she shook her head, "I've never seen him look at anyone else like that before…"
She smirked. "Hold that thought, I just saw someone with a Pina Colada and I need that. I am going to get one for you, but I'll make it a virgin one."
"Okay I'll come, let's do that."
/
"Feel this…" Erika quickly grabbed Olivia's hand and pressed it on her lower stomach. "Can you feel?"
Olivia turned serious for a moment and suddenly felt the dull kick from Erika's tiny bump. A big smile spread over Liv's mouth as she and Erika shared a moment. "Oh wow," she murmured, "it makes it so real doesn't it?"
Erika nodded. "I know it's not a very strong kick, but … I know it'll get stronger and harder as the pregnancy progresses," she laughed.
"Yeah and your baby will kick you in the bladder and you'll be peeing yourself left right and middle," she joked as she took a sip of the amazing Pina Colada.
"Did you really?" Erika asked, her eyes widening with borderline amusement.
"No, well, maybe once toward the end of the pregnancy when Teddy was stomping around like mad."
Erika laughed, "I'm sure it'll happen to me, I already have to pee as often as a kid."
"Has Sonny felt the baby kick?," she wondered.
"Yes, sometimes we just lay there for hours chatting while he holds his hand there waiting for it to happen and each time he gets so overwhelmed and excited."
Olivia smiled, remembering the first time Trevor had felt Teddy kick and how he'd become tearful and overcome with emotions. "Sometimes Trevor and I lay for hours too, but for different reasons…" she couldn't help but to joke as she guided the straw of her creamy, yellow cocktail in her mouth and sipped obnoxiously, raising an eyebrow at her sister-in-law.
Erika made a disgusted face. "Oh, Liv… I am so happy that you're happy but— I don't want to-"
"Like, he's really good at sex," she blurted out, cutting her off.
"Oh my stars…." Erika groaned, "this is not what I want to hear," she muttered, "you really are rotten drunk, aren't you, Liv?"
Olivia began to giggle. "Hey, leave me alone, okay? I have had a lot of mediocre men breeze in and out of my life, I am happy."
"I know, I'm sorry," she apologised, "but I don't need to hear about my brother in the bedroom."
"Okay okay," Olivia put her almost-empty drink down and held up her hands.
"Who was before Treovr?" Erika wanted to know.
"A guy who was in charge of internal affairs, he wanted to propose but I wouldn't let him. He was a lovely guy but it just… didn't feel right, I had too many walls up," she explained, "he suicided just before I met Trevor. He did get married and he got brain cancer and he started to forget things and … yeah," Olivia stared at her hands, overcome with sadness for a moment. "We were still friends, he didn't deserve that ending."
"I'm sorry Liv…" Erika said softly, "for bringing it up…"
Olivia stabbed at the ice in her glass with the straw. "Its okay, it was just a bad time in general for me, a lot happened but I didn't date for a long time between Ed and your brother, a good solid two or so years and no disrespect to Ed, he was a kind-hearted man who loved me very much, he just wasn't the one…"
She stopped playing with her drink and set it down. It was just about empty. She paused and looked at Erika, "Do you think that Sonny is that special? I want you to be so sure, Erika, don't just ever settle… if you have any doubt no one would ever be mad at you for it."
A little smile danced across Erika's lips as she waited for Olivia to finish her emphatic point.
"He's the one," Erika said decisively. "I am one hundred percent sure that he is the one. He is kind and sweet and nothing is ever too much trouble. He is a gentleman and he doesn't care about how over-emotional I can get… he calms me down when I get angry and he is amazing in bed," she added with a laugh. Olivia laughed too. "I've never had… like really good sex before and truthfully I've only had two sex partners before Sonny so…."
"Wow, only two?" Olivia drank the rest of her Pina colada and placed it down. "You really were a good girl."
Erika started to laugh, "is that lame? I think I was always scared of Trevor finding out. He always found out everything and I can't lie to save my life."
Olivia laughed. "It's not lame. Trust me there's probably five guys that I can count that I remember off hand that I wished I didn't sleep with…"
"Who was your first?" Erika asked, "if that's not too personal, I mean…. How old were you?"
"Sixteen…" Olivia's voice trailed off, "but that's probably not a story for my wedding night, its all very sketchy and I'm working it out in therapy so…" she gave a little chuckle at Erika's expression drop. "Don't worry kiddo, I'm happy to tell you about it, its just a big discussion because it was certainly something that shouldn't have happened but… there's a little part of me that still isn't sorry about it—" she realise she was talking in riddles. She laughed in spite of herself, "Sorry, let's revisit this conversation in maybe a week."
"Okay, I'm sorry if that question made things weird."
Olivia shook her head and grabbed her hand. "No, its fine… the second guy I slept with, he was great, my first, real, true love. Terrible sex, but such a sweet guy," she chuckled. "What about you?"
"I met the guy at college and he was really nice, he wrote poetry," Erika laughed, "its gross now when I think about it, but he was genuinely nice and I don't regret it and I think maybe we lasted a year and then I got right in to school and had no time until I met Mitch," she explained, "and goodness knows that sex was some of the laziest, most boring sex I've ever had, I literally used to recoil each time he touched me in the end."
"Ugh, well I'm glad Sonny knows what he's doing," Olivia could barely manage to say it without laughing at the thought. "Why does it feel so wrong saying that…"
"It feels just as wrong hearing you talk about sex with my brother too," Erika laughed.
"Yeah but you should know how good he is, Ez, honestly,"
"I don't need to know…" Erika winced.
"Shots!" Someone announced from behind them, startling them. It was Trevor and Sonny with three shots lined up on a little tray. "Sorry Ez, you have a baby, you have to sacrifice fun for that baby."
"I'm not the one who's going to end up with a hang over so bad that you'll be vomiting all day tomorrow." She glanced at Sonny, "And you, my friend, I don't care how hung over you are, you promised those kids a swim in the morning so be ready."
"I'll be fresh as a daisy!," he flashed his girl a grin sounding more confident about that than he felt.
On the count of three, Trevor, Sonny and Olivia downed their silver bullet and Trevor disappeared for another.
"I am for one," Olivia slurred, "going to be very sick tomorrow, I'm already f….fucked."
"Correction, that's what's going to happen to you when you get back to your hotel room," Erika teased her.
"Hey!" Trevor shot at his sister, returning, shocked. "Don't say that to Olivia!," he turned to Liv, "Unless that's what you want… then-"
"Oh my Lord…" Sonny muttered, "Ez this might be our queue to go dance," he told his girlfriend.
"No, no, you're not taking my Ez away from me, you two should go and dance… together…."
"No offence to Sonny, but I doubt he'll be comfortable with me touching his butt while we dance." Trevor replied and Erika could see he was absolutely rotten drunk too. He couldn't keep his hands to himself, he was overly affectionate and was speaking boldly in front of them all in a way that was a little out of character for him.
"You are right about that, Trev, you are not touching my butt,"
"Aww but you'd both make such a cute couple," Olivia teased. Trevor nudged her gently.
"Stop trying to give me away, we've only been married about 5 or 6 hours, we haven't even had married sex yet."
"Its only going down hill from here!" Erika teased right back, feeling Sonny grab for her hand on the table top. The couple laughed.
"Don't count on it," Olivia retorted, "this guy makes me come so hard I see star-"
Trevor covered her mouth, everyone's eyes wide with shock at Olivia's bluntness. She pushed Trevors hand away, "Olivia! You can't say that!" Trevor laughed, "oh my goodness,"
"Hmph, well its true," she replied.
"Olivia Benson," Sonny shook his head and let out a burst of laughter, "what will the other detectives say when I tell them about this night, Captain got so drunk that she could barely speak and she told us about her sex life…"
"Don't you dare…" she narrowed her eyes at him, "I would deny it."
Sonny and Erika laughed, "Personally, as weird as the admission is, I'm very happy for you, its what you deserve to be honest."
"Thank you, Erika, it is what I deserve… but don't get me wrong, I think I do pretty well too-"
"Olivia!" Trevor couldn't help but to laugh, "but its true… you do…" Liv glanced at her husband and grinned at him. He kissed her lips passionately, "I love you, you're the best."
"Yeah, I can only imagine what she's so good at…" Erika muttered, "you're right Sonny, these two are making me sick, let's go dance…"
"Bye loserrrrr," Trevor waved at his sister who gave him the finger as they left them alone.
"What's the time?" Liv asked Trevor. He pulled his phone from his pocket and saw that it was almost midnight. "11:38pm…"
"Wanna go party back at the hotel room? We could order some drinks and make out and order some room service or something fun…"
He could see the mischievous glint in her eye and he was just the perfect amount of drunk to enjoy sitting around in underwear passing a bottle of liquor between them as they ate snacks either on the balcony or on the bed.
"Yeah… of course… I would love that. Should we order something really snotty like some expensive French champagne?"
Olivia giggled, realising just how unstable her legs had become as she tried to stand.
"Oh honey," he held out his hands to steady her, "yeah you need some bread or something to soak up all that alcohol…come on…" he got up too and linked her arm beneath his. They said goodnight to Sonny and Erika and made their way slowly back to the hotel.
