Chapter 110: I Won't Back Down

Elizabeth walk into the coffee shop and saw Matt behind the counter.

"Morning Boss" he said and handed her a coffee.

"Hey" she replied.

"Have a long night?"

"Yeah" she replied as her phone buzzed. She looked at it and answered it. "Hey"

"Hey" Chuck replied.

"How are you?"

"Confused and well…that's pretty much it"

"I can only imagine. Do you need anything?"

"Not right now" he said "I just wanted to hear your voice"

"I'm at the coffee shop I'll be home soon if you want to talk about it."

"I gotta do a few things first and then I'll be there" he replied.

"I love you" she replied.

"I love you too" he said "I promise I will tell you everything when I get home"

She hung up and turned to Matt

"What was that about?" he asked.

"I don't exactly know but I'm gonna find out soon. Um if you see Drew will you tell him that I was here but now I need to go. Family stuff going on with Chuck and I really need to be there for him"

"Yeah" he replied and she went to turn "Hey Boss"

"Yeah?"

"I'm glad that you two are back together"

"Me too" she smiled then left.

She hailed a cab and headed to the Empire. She got up to the Penthouse and walked in. No one was there. She took a seat on the couch and laid back. Monkey jumped up next to her. Chuck walked in shortly

"Hey" she said standing up and walking to him.

"Where is Ella?" he asked then kissed her.

"My dad's still. I never picked her up. I was on my way when you called and I figured it would be best to leave her there while we figure stuff out with your dad. I don't want to confuse her and she's having the time of her life right now with him. And he needs the joy she brings"

"I agree"

"I'm here for you whatever you need. We are family. Your troubles are mine and mine are yours. If you want them" she said and he smiled then kissed her.

"Thank you" he said as his phone rang. He looked at it. "I gotta take this"

He picked up the phone and walked away. She walked over to the bar and poured a drink and downed it. Then poured another one.

"The price in no concern, I need this to happen as fast as possible make them an offer they can't say no to, and offer them more." Chuck said then hung up and Serena walked in.

"Hungry?"
"Thirsty" he replied "Elizabeth, you started without me."

"I had one for you. Figured you were busy at the moment" she replied and handed him her glass and he finished it.

"Why are you here?" Chuck asked Serena.

"Blair asked me to check on you"

"I don't need a babysitter" he said.

"Besides. He already has one" Diana said

Chuck took a drink while Serena and Elizabeth looked at him. She took the glass back from him and poured more into and took a drink. She grabbed his arm and pulled him to the side.

"Why is she here?" she asked him.

"I'll explain in a minute. I just need to finish this deal" he replied "Trust me"

"More than you know" she smiled and he kissed her forehead and walked away. Serena walked over to her.

"Do you know what's going on?" Serena asked.

"I do, and its not my thing to talk about" she replied "Did Blair tell you anything?"

"No, Blair just told me to come and check on him. Something about last night."

"Wait did we ever figure out who India is?" Elizabeth asked.

"Diana"

"So I was right? She's the madam?" Elizabeth asked as Nate walked in charging toward Chuck and Diana.
"I think so" Serena said taking out her phone and calling someone. "Hey. B. Diana's here and so is Nate. It's super tense. You have to tell me what's going on…Oh hey, What…what was Dan's big surprise…Oh how dare he! Blair that's amazing…What's there to think about? Rome for the summer sounds like a dream….and you can be 2 of them….so your indecision has nothing to do with Chuck?"

"I'm gonna go check on them." Elizabeth whispered then stood up and walked into the other room. She spotted Chuck and Diana at the bar and went to turn when Diana ripped a paper out of Chuck's hand and walked away.

"What was that?" she asked and Chuck looked toward Nate and Lola.

"I think I have an idea" Chuck said and they walked toward Nate's room. "What have you done!?"

"Okay someone has to tell us what is going on" Serena said.

"We couldn't let her get away without any consequences she's done nothing but deceive all of us, including you. It just wasn't right." Nate said.

"Yeah, we're sorry we messed up your deal, but this was beyond business. It was personal" Lola replied.

"You have no idea how personal, I made that with her so she would help get my father out of hiding" Chuck said.

"Wait your father…you mean Jack?"

"Bart. He's alive" Chuck said and Elizabeth nodded.

"It's true" she replied

They walked over to the bar and Elizabeth poured a glass of scotch and Chuck grabbed it and took a drink. Lola feeling bad took off.

"So all these years, he never made any attempt to contact you?" Nate asked.

"Or my mom?" Serena said.

"To risky" Chuck said. "If my memory serves me right, Lily was in the process of leaving him for Rufus"

"That is true" Elizabeth said

"He only came out of hiding to save me after the accident" Chuck said. "I was hoping to return the favor. But your little girlfriend ruined that plan when she exposed Diana. I hope she feel justice is served because she cost me my father."

"Chuck" Elizabeth said grabbing his hand and he looked at her and she gave him a look and he smiled..

"She didn't know about Bart. None of us did" Nate said.

"Is there anything we can do to help?" Serena asked.

"I'm not sure. Once this guy shows up. And Diana's girls aren't there, he's gonna know somethings up. I need to come up with a new plan fast." Chuck said.

"We don't need a new plan. You just need new girls" Blair said walking in. "And since you have a Julliard actress at your disposal and a super-hot soon to be international pop star."

"I'm not an actress, and I do not feel comfortable doing this." Elizabeth said then looked at Chuck. "I love you but this is way out of my comfort zone"

He grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"I'm sure Lola would love the chance to make things right."

"Wonderful. While we rehearse. You go after Diana and make sure she doesn't cancel her client's appointment we don't want to put on a show to and empty house." Blair said and Nate left. "Hurry we only have an hour"

After Nate left they sat around waiting for Lola. Elizabeth grabbed Chuck's arm and pulled him into the bedroom.

"You said you would tell me what is going on?" she said.

"My father had to fake his death because of his enemy and this plan is to take that guy down so my father can be free"

"Okay" she replied. "That's why you involved Diana because of the whole her being the madam?"

"Yes. I asked Blair for help because I didn't want Nevins finding out that I was involved and that you and I are connected. If anything happened to you or Ella I wouldn't be able to live with myself"

"Same" she replied and kissed him. They headed back out to the living room and his phone dinged and they all looked to him.

"Where is she" Chuck said and the elevator dinged.

"You said you needed twin's right?" Lola said walking in "Or at least two blondes around the same height? Ivy owes me"

"Thank god" Elizabeth said and Blair looked at her. "I'm not an actress B, I don't act well."

"You're a performer. Very similar" Blair replied.

"On a stage with music not whatever this is" she replied. "Let Ivy do it. She looks desperate enough"

"Let Ivy do it" Chuck replied "If Elizabeth isn't comfortable with doing this then I respect that"

"Thank you" she smiled at him.

"I'd love to get back in the gang"

"In order to be back in the gang you would've had to be in the gang to begin with."

"Which you're not" Elizabeth replied "But we'll take your help"

"We don't need Ivy. I can do it. After all B, you have that thing you need to get to." Serena said.

"I have a different acting job for you" Blair said to Serena. "A part you know better than anyone"

"I'm so lost" Elizabeth said.

Later they were at the building. Elizabeth stayed outside with Chuck.

"Elizabeth" he said and she turned to him.

"What?"

"You've been on edge all day. Why?"

"How do you do that?" she said.

"It's me. You can talk to me about anything. Remember we promised when you told me about Ella. We love each other"

"As it gets closer to the tour I just get more nervous. Not about performing but just not having Ella or you there."

"Well I will just tell your dad that I'm taking her to see you"

"That would be spectacular but I think he has the whole summer already planned for this summer"

"Well then I will just come see you and we can for once have a romantic date without sabotage"

"Promise" she laughed and he nodded.

Blair walked toward them

"I wish you would've told me earlier you were having your P.I. take the pictures. I told the girls you would be doing it"

"I am what are you talking about?" Chuck asked.

"Andrew Tyler. I saw him get into an elevator as I came down." Blair said "You didn't send him?"
"I didn't send Andrew anywhere" Chuck said as Elizabeth got her phone out. She still had Ivy's number so she called it.

"Ivy isn't answering" she said and they walked in.

They finally got ahold of Lola. Blair and Chuck went ahead and she told them she meet them back at the Empire. She walked in and sat her bag down and poured a drink. Nate walked in.

"Hey" she said taking a drink.

"Hey" he replied.

"So Diana"

"She's gone" he said "I helped her get away with her rep intact"

"That's why you're such an amazing guy" she said "Drink?"

"Sure" he replied and she poured him another one. "So you excited for your tour?"

"Yes and No" she replied.

"Yes, because you're crazy freaking talented" he said "And no?"

"I'm gonna miss my daughter and Chuck" she replied.

"I'm sure Chuck will follow you to the end of the world"

"Thank you" she replied.

"For?"

"Being okay with us."

"I wasn't sure at first how I felt about it. But seeing you light up when he walks in the door. I realized that you love him. And I was worried about you at first because of Chuck and Blair but it was a look that he had when he was talking about you that gave him away. That summer that you two…"

"Yeah" she replied.

"He kept telling me that he was going to the city to hook up with the tourist but there was a look on his face and I thought maybe there was a girl he just didn't want me to know about but I kept shaking it off. When it came out that you two had a relationship I realized the girl he was seeing was you. He had that same love sick puppy dog look then as he does now."

"I do too" she replied. "I didn't want to admit that I had fallen for Chuck Bass especially after…"

"Everything with what he did to me with Blair?"

"Yeah" she said. "So I kept him at arms length for as long as I could hoping that my feelings for you would over power them."

"We were great, we just weren't meant to be" he replied and she nodded.

"I'm gonna go to bed" she replied and hugged him.

She went to Chuck's room and changed into her favorite shirt and shorts and climbed in bed. Her phoned buzzed and she looked at it.

Evening, Upper East Siders.
