Chapter 4

"We have a new problem." Longtooth declared.

Everyone stopped and looked at him.

"I cannot say anymore until Lord Potter gives me permission to do so. It's part of the laws and traditions of the Potter Inheritance Rituals. If permission is given it must be formal, Lord Potter."

Harry had confused look on his face.

"Pup, he means you must formally give permission for us to hear and for Longtooth to give the details of the ritual." advised Sirius.

Harry then understood. He sat up straight and intoned, "I, Lord Harry James Potter give Longtooth permission to discuss what the Potter Inheritance Ritual has discovered between all those in this room at the moment. So mote it be."

"So mote it be." replied Longtooth.

After the magic of the oath had settled, Remus asked, "What's the problem?"

Instead of answering him, Longtooth turned to Harry and said, "I assume you trust everyone here with your life, Lord Potter?"

"I do." replied Harry. He was very confused, and he wasn't the only one. Hermione's brain was going at warp speed trying to come up with answers, and Rocnose had stopped filling out parchmentwork to look at Longtooth. Sirius and Remus were also curious about why the Goblin would ask that of a wizard as it was known that Goblins didn't really care about most wizards except when it came to making money.

Longtooth continued, "As part of the ritual the Potter Family Magic scans the new Lord Potter to determine his authenticity."

"I know that, I felt the magic doing that to me." said Harry.

"But what most Lords before you don't know because it wasn't needed, is that it checks your health, state of mind and magic level and it appears on the ritual parchment."

Harry had a feeling he knew where this was going but he wasn't the only one. Hermione's brain had caught up and put two and two together to make… something was wrong with Harry.

"What's wrong with Harry?" she demanded.

Remus asked, "Why do you think something is wrong?"

Hermione turned to him. "We all agreed that Dumbledore has tried to control Harry in some way since he was placed at the Dursley's and most certainly since he came to Hogwarts. I also think we can all agree that Dumbledore wasn't doing this for Harry's welfare." Everyone nodded including Dobby.

"Dumbledore is up to something and that something has got to do with Harry. And what is the easiest way to for someone to control a witch or wizard without them knowing?"

"Some sort of spell, potion or compulsion and numerous other things." growled Sirius, Remus wasn't far behind.

"Your reputation as the brightest witch of your age is validated, Miss Granger." said Longtooth. "Yes, the ritual found a number of things wrong with Lord Potter."

"And those would be?" inquired Remus.

"Shall I continue Lord Potter or do you wish to hear this by yourself?"

Given what he had already revealed, Harry looked at everyone with conviction on his face, he replied, "Please continue, Longtooth."

"Very well." Longtooth replied. The Goblin knew what he was going to say would not be well received but Lord Potter needed to be told. He took a deep breath and began.

"Lord Potter, these are in no particular order. I do not know how long these problems have been there for. The parchment is not that accurate. But it knows what the problems are. If you want a more accurate result you would need to see a trained Healer." He waited a moment and began to list out the problems in bullet form.

*Some of your bones have not healed properly

*Your blood is contaminated with something

*Your scar is giving a weird reading, it could be causing a number of problems on its own

*There is a multitude of smaller problems

*Numerous potions for numerous different reasons

*You have multiple blocks on your magical core

He stopped and waited. He was right. It wasn't well received. Remus and Sirius had started to grumble as soon as Longtooth had revealed the first problem. Even Dobby was mumbling angrily under is breath. Hermione had sat in shocked silence as the list of problems began. But the main problem was going to be with Harry. Half way through she turned to look at Harry. At first, his face was a mixture of acceptance and anger, it then gave way to confusion and betrayal. By the time the list was finished it was enraged. Hermione had tried to comfort him but it was no use. She knew what was coming based on the outrage Harry had on the train. Based on the sheer rage on Harry's face, this was going to be bigger, louder and more violent than Harry had on the train.

As every other human and House elf was busy grumbling to themselves, no one felt the magic beginning to build apart from Hermione and the two Goblins. Hermione turned to the Goblins and asked, "Is this place warded?"

Rocnose replied, "Miss Granger, the Ministry nor anyone else can sense wizard magic in this building, if we give them permission to use magic, which we would not."

"Permission or not, there is going to be magic used and its going to be big, loud and violent."

As Hermione and the two Goblins were talking, everyone else felt the magic in the room. They all turned to look at Harry. You could actually see sparks of magic between his fingers. Harry's face however was set like stone but you could still see how furious he was.

As Hermione was talking to the Goblins, she was analysing everything in the room. She knew that the explosion was coming and that she couldn't stop it. So she was trying to find a place for cover. She finished analysing everything and came to the conclusion that the desk the Goblins were sitting behind would keep them safe. It was large, heavy and wooden and very well made. As if anything made by a Goblin would be anything other than well made. Decision made, Hermione barked, "Everyone behind the desk, NOW." They could see that Harry was barely able to keep his magic and anger in check. He was going to erupt and he was going to erupt soon. The three humans and the house elf gathered behind the desk and Hermione said in her loudest and most bossiest voice ever, "FLOOR, NOW!"

Everyone dropped to the floor, then Mount Harry erupted. No one could hear what Harry was saying because of the amount of magic flowing around them, but they didn't need to. They could guess. It was probably the same things they were saying a few minutes ago. Except it was bigger, louder and angrier. They could feel the magic wash over them as it whipped around the room. They heard the chairs smash against the walls. All the parchment on the desk was flying all over the room. Harry's trunk which Dobby had bought was flying round the room and crashing into furniture and walls. All of a sudden it went eerily quiet.

Hermione motioned everyone to stay where they were. She slowly got up from the floor and looked towards Harry. He was lying flat on the floor, unconscious. "It's OK, he's finished. I think he's unconscious."

Everyone got up off the floor and Sirius being Sirius said, "Well, that happened!" and went to check on Harry.

Remus turned to Hermione and asked, "How did you know he was going to do that?"

"Remember I said Dumbledore had lost most of Harry's trust?" They all nodded. "Well he ranted and raved on the train on the way home from Hogwarts. It got so bad people were afraid to even pass by our compartment. I could feel his magic building in the compartment, I was able to calm him down but I knew he wouldn't remain calm after hearing that list. Also he cast a powerful patronus that defeated one hundred dementors. I knew a explosion was coming and I knew it was going to be big."

Sirius had finished checking on Harry, "It looks like exhaustion to me, he'll be awake in a few minutes or so." He stayed by Harry's side. He had Harry's head in his lap. He wasn't leaving until Harry woke up.

As this was going on both Goblins looked at each other. They knew that their day was about to get even more interesting. Whether that was for better or worse would remain to be seen.

A/N: Hi, Yes, I know it's been a while but like I said before, I knew it was a bad idea to do a multi chapter story. My muse ran off and with everything going on in the world the past few years I haven't had the motivation to do anything till now. Add to the fact that my Mom died last September and that I've been trying to sort everything out and dig myself out of a funk cause by it. But I hope you enjoy. I have also edited Chapter 3 as I added a few extra lines about the ritual parchment.
