"Danny!" Marie whisper yelled as she ran to grab him. He was sitting on the couch, reading a magazine when he eventually noticed her and jumped up.

"Marie?" He asked, grabbing onto her arms. "What is it?"

"We have to go," she said darkly.

Daniel frowned.

"Just breathe, it's okay."

She took a few deep breaths and calmed down.

"Good. Now can you tell me what's going on?"

"There's people at the door," she said nervously.

"Who?"

She didn't answer causing a wave of fear to come over him.

"Who was there?"

"I-I don't know," she admitted. "I knew they looked familiar, but I didn't know where I knew him from. And it's never a good thing when that happens."

Daniel took a shaky breath and slowly made his way to the door.

"Danny? Danny, what're you doing?" She asked, pulling him back.

"I just wanted to see-"

"They were looking for you," Marie said sternly. "They came to the door asking for Daniel Harper."

He cringed slightly.

"I'll see who's at the door," he whispered. "And I'll signal you if we need to call the police. We'll make a run for it."

"Where?" She asked sadly. He sighed.

"I don't know," he shrugged. "Just keep on running until we find something."

Marie nodded quickly, not bothering to try and object. Their lives were on the line here, there was no time to object. Marie made her way to the living room, standing right by the phone, ready to dial for help the instant something was wrong.

Daniel frowned and took a few deep breaths as he made his way over to the door. He was frightened and he had a few good ideas of who might've been behind the door. When he saw them through the peephole, a large grin grew on his face.

"Oh my God..." he said to himself.

"What?" She asked, worriedly. "Who's out there?"

"Marie," he said, turning to her. "It's just the guys. It's okay."

"The guys?" She frowned, confused. He nodded happily.

"Yeah, the Monkees. You know, Micky, Davy, and Peter. Those guys."

Her eyes widened as Daniel unlocked the door and began to open the knob.

"I don't think that's a really good idea," she warned, trying to stop him.

He laughed slightly.

"They're not gonna hurt us," Daniel said, his smile fading when he saw how serious she looked.

"No, they might not," she sighed. "But this really isn't a good idea to open that door and-"

Too late. The other Monkees froze up when they saw him.

"Michael...?" Peter asked, tears filling in his eyes. Daniel's smile only grew wider.

"It's good to see you, Pete."

Davy dropped his jaw. For the first time in the history of the world, Micky Dolenz was actually right about something.

"Y-your hair..." Peter started, eyes wide.

Daniel had to laugh.

"Yeah, you like it?"

"No," Peter said honestly, and Daniel smiled. It wasn't so bad.

But he very quickly realized his mistake when Micky handed him a manila folder. He frowned and opened it, face paling slightly when he pulled out the papers inside.

Micky took a deep breath before he spoke.

"We found all that in the box under your bed," Micky started, causing Daniel to look up at him. "...Daniel..."

Daniel frowned, looking down at the papers again. It was everything. All his medical records, birth certificate, driver's license, everything, all under the name Daniel Jacob Harper. He stiffened.

Micky could feel his heart break as he saw how uncomfortable his friend had become when he looked through the documents. It made it all too real.

Daniel sighed, pushing everything back into the folder and looking back up at the others sadly. Marie was right, he shouldn't have opened the door. He thought to himself for a minute.

"Thanks for bringing these to me, Mick," he said after a minute, putting on a smile. "We had a pretty good scare when we came out here and I didn't have them."

He tried to joke and laugh it off, but no one else laughed or even smiled at the comment. He sighed and stepped back inside, setting the folder down on the kitchen counter.

"You can come in, you know," his voice called out from inside. "We won't bite."

Very slowly and hesitantly, the Monkees stepped into the house, not knowing what to expect. Daniel smiled slightly as he saw the others look around, scared and mesmerized.

"Is this where you live?" Peter asked him and he nodded.

"Yep."

Marie smiled slightly too as she watched them.

"We've got plenty of food if any of you are interested in lunch," she suggested, trying to lighten the mood a little bit.

"Yeah, we do," Daniel nodded.

"I'm not hungry," Micky said sternly, staring at Daniel.

"Alright," Daniel sighed. "Sit down. I wanna talk to you guys."
