Chapter 14-Getting rid of enemies

Murphy's P.O.V

Murphy and Wells walked out of their cell as the door came open. They walk outside their cell to the bottom floor. They sit down at a table and look at Jasper and Monty as they walk over to them and sit down. "Did you enjoy your first night in the sky box?" Jasper asks them with a smirk.

"Oh, it felt great. These beds are great," Murphy says sarcastically.

"Ignore him. Who have you guys made friends with since you got locked up?" Wells asks him.

"Octavia, Miller, a little girl named Charlotte, Harper, Myles, and Atom," Jasper answers.

"Okay, how many of them want to kill me?" Wells asks them.

"None. We've told them stories about you, now, all you gotta do is be you, and they probably won't hate you. But Finn Collins is who you need to worry about. He was pretty happy when they brought you and Murphy in yesterday," Monty tells them.

"We're counting on it," Murphy says with a smirk.

"He has a stupid plan, doesn't he?" Jasper asks Wells, who nods.

"Oh, yeah. It's Murphy."

Jasper and Monty chuckle as Octavia and Miller walk up to them. "Hey, guys," Jasper says as they sit down beside Wells and Jasper.

"Hey, Murphy, Wells."

"Did you warn them about Finn?" Octavia asks Jasper, who nods.

"Hey, Murphy has a plan."

"What is that?" Miller asks them.

"You'll have to wait and see," Murphy tells them.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa sharpens her swords in her room and looks at the door as there is a knock. "Come in," Lexa says, and Titus walks into the room. "What is it, Titus. I am about to leave."

"Yes, I must advice against that, Commander," Titus tells her. Lexa sighs as she sets her sword across her lap. "I am your advisor. You are risking too much for these people, I know you plan on using them against the Mountain men, but they are not worth the risk. They are not worth your life, and you cannot trust, Roan."

"I do not trust Roan, Titus. But I have heard rumors from our spies. If this is true, we will save Clarke, Raven, and Jake, and if not, then I get to kill Roan," Lexa says as she stands up, putting her swords on her back. "I am the Commander, Titus. The Sky people are worth the risk. I will hear no more about this," Lexa says as she walks past him. "You are in charge until I return. The new Azgeda ambassador should be arriving today," Lexa tells him as he leaves the room, leaving Titus alone. She gets onto the elevator and is joined by Roan. "If you are lying-"

"You will kill me, I know," Roan tells her. "I am not lying, Commander. You are using the sky people against the Mountain people, right?"

"Yes," Lexa answers.

"I have reasons for wanting them all dead. I want the sky people alive just as much as you do," Roan tells her as they get to the bottom and walk outside where the others were waiting. They climb on their horses and leave.

Wells's P.O.V

Wells, Murphy, Jasper, Monty, Harper, Myles, Atom, Miller, and Charlotte sat at a table talking. Wells looked over at the table Finn was sitting at and could see the teen glaring at him. "I think your plan is going to work, Murphy," Wells says to Murphy, who smirks.

"Of course it is. I'm a genius," Murphy says.

"That is debatable," Jasper says. "So, what's the next part of your master plan?"

"Walk past them, let him initiate the fight," Murphy tells Wells, who nods. Wells stands up and starts to walk towards Finn's table.

"Are you sure he can beat him?" Miller asks Murphy, who nods.

"Yeah, trust me, this is going to be great," Murphy says with a smirk as Finn trips Wells as he walks past his table. Wells stands up, and Finn stands up.

"You're Dad floated my girlfriend," Finn growls as he gets in Wells's face.

"Your girlfriend shouldn't have broken the law. My Dad was doing his job," Wells growls. Finn punches Wells making him stumble back. The teens cheer as Finn tries to hit Wells again. Wells moves to the side of the punch and hits Finn in the side of his head. Finn steps back and swings at Wells, who ducks under the swing and punches Finn in the stomach, making him double over as he gasps for air. Wells grabs him by his hair and punches him in the face multiple times before he throws Finn to the ground. Finn's nose was bleeding, and his left eye was starting to bruise as the guards came down to them.

"That's enough!" He shouts as he pulls out his shout baton. "Get back," He tells Wells, who backs up. "Take him to his cell," He tells another guard, who grabs Wells and takes him away. "Get this one to the infirmary."

Clarke's P.O.V

Everybody rode through the woods near the ambush location. "Do we just let them attack us?" Clarke asks Lexa, who looks at her and shakes her head.

"We have men in the trees looking for them. We're close to where they will attack us," Lexa tells her. "You trust me, right?" Clarke nods. "Then trust that you guys are going to be fine."

Clarke nods as they ride in silence. They start to slow down when they see a wagon in the middle of the path. "That's it, Heda," Anya tells Lexa, who nods as she stops her horse and climbs off of it. She takes a few steps forward, and an arrow flies inches in front of her hitting the tree on the other side of her. Men start to come out of the woods as Lexa withdraws her swords. She quickly dodges one swing, stabs her sword through the gut of one, and swings her sword backward, taking the head off another. Clarke jumps off her horse and quickly ducks under a swing from a man who is shot in the chest by Raven with a bow. Arrows start to fly from the trees, hitting the men in the chest as Lexa's men come out of the woods and kill the rest of the men. Lexa looks around at her men and nod as Roan comes out of the woods.

"See, I wasn't lying, Commander," Roan says.

"No, you weren't," Lexa says. "Move this cart. We ride for the Broadleft clan!" Lexa shouts, causing her men to cheer.

Jaha's P.O.V

Jaha sat in the visitor area and looked at Wells as a guard brought him out. He immediately noticed the bruise on his son's face. "What happened?" Jaha asks as his son sits down.

"Got in a fight with Finn Collins. I won. He looks worse than me. He was pissed off about Raven Reyes."

"I can get you out of here, Wells. We can blame all of this on John Murphy," Jaha tells his son.

"I helped Murphy burn down Shumway's apartment. I lit the place on fire, and I punched a guard," Wells tells his father. "I followed Murphy willingly."

"Why would you do that, Wells?! He is going to lead you to your death!"

"Then he will lead me to my death!" Wells exclaims. "I stand with him. He helped me after you floated Clarke. I will not abandon him," Wells growls. "You already killed one of my best friends. I would rather be floated than live through that pain again."

Jaha stares at his son in silence as he motions for a guard to take Wells back to his cell.

Murphy's P.O.V

Octavia looks at Murphy as he eats his lunch. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure," Murphy answers.

"Your father was floated, right?" Octavia asks Murphy, who nods his head as he sets his spoon down. "But you still gave Wells a chance. Why?"

"Wells had just lost his best friend. I guess I knew the pain and everything involving Clarke Griffin's death was suspicious, so I wanted to investigate and see if it was true, and so did he, so we started to work together. He began to stay with me, and over time, it became a friendship. He became the first real friend I ever had. He's my brother," Murphy tells them. "I know you all have a reason to hate him, but he is just like us. His Dad took someone away from him too."

They nod as Miller speaks. "How did he learn to fight?"

"Now that my friend is a secret," Murphy says with a smile.

Jake's P.O.V

Everybody rode into the Broadleft village. Lexa quickly climbed off her horse as everybody looked at them. "Commander, we were told it was only supposed to be you and the sky people," A villager says.

"Where is Mark?" Lexa growls.

"He is in his house," A warrior says as he points to the Clan leader's house. Lexa nods as he motions for Jake and Anya to follow to the house. The two of them follow Lexa to the house. Lexa kicks the door open.

"Commander, I didn't-" Mark didn't get to finish his sentence as Lexa punched him in the face sending him to the ground.

"I know what you planned," Lexa growls as she kicks him. She grabs him by the back of his shirt, drags him outside, and throws him on the ground as everybody looks at her in shock. "Mark sent men to attack us on our way to here," Lexa says loud enough for everybody to hear. "Thanks to information given to us by Roan, we were able to stop them from killing the sky people. He had attacked my guests. He attacked me, and therefore he has attacked you. Tell the truth, and I will give you a quick death," Lexa says as she pulls him up to his knees.

"Yes, I sent men to kill them. This alliance with the sky people will lead to the fall of all of us!" Mark shouts. "And it will lead to your death, Commander!"

Lexa looks at Jake. "He wanted to kill you, your people. He is your kill if you want it," Lexa tells Jake, who nods as he withdraws his sword and drives it through Mark's chest. Mark coughed out blood and died as Jake removed his sword. "Is there anybody else who agrees with Mark?" Nobody says anything, and Lexa nods. "Burn his body. We will be staying here for the night," Lexa says as she walks away.

Thanks for reading. In the last chapter, I said this would be the last one before the hundred falls. But I have some ideas for another chapter. I can confidently say that the hundred will fall before or in chapter 20. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
