3. Chapter 3

Once all X rays were complete Georgie and Kelly waited for a doctor to come see them, they believed a long wait would be coming their way due to the incident in the ED department an hour earlier but both jumped when a doctor appeared in front of them.

"Miss Powell? Mr Severide care to follow me?"

Georgie and Kelly stand and follow the doctor into his office, they all sit down.

"I've brought you both in at the same time as I hate repeating myself and as a doctor that can be most troublesome" the doctor pauses for laughter and gets none "Right ok then! You both have broken bones in your wrist from striking something at the wrong angle, can I ask what?"

"My dad!"

"Her dad!"

"You both struck her dad?"

Kelly nods "Yep and I'd do it again"

The doctor sighs "I wouldn't suggest it, oh Miss Powell thank you for saving a fellow doctors life"

Georgie smiles "What happens now?"

"Oh yes of course" the doctor stares at the desk in front of him Georgie and Kelly roll their eyes "Yes sorry I'm all a muddle, I was meant to be in the emergency department today but got asked to stay here"

"I see, excuse me Doctor?"

"Oh yes Doctor Willis"

"Right then Doctor Willis, what happens now?"

"X ray?" Doctor Willis looks down at the paperwork in front of him and giggles "Nope done that, you need your wrists in a plaster cast"

Georgie raises an eyebrow, Kelly smirks "Oh right, go out my office turn right and follow the corridor until the sign above you reads Plaster room, but you won't find any plasters in there a room full of plasters now that would be funny"

Doctor Willis looks up from his desk and giggles nervously, Georgie and Kelly exchange looks and as quickly as possible leave the office of Doctor Willis and make their way to the plaster room, hoping to find someone there to help them and not a room full of plasters.

Georgie started to giggle when she saw the sign above their heads, Kelly rolled his eyes and walked in followed quickly by Georgie who was still giggling.

"Ignore my colleague she's not had her meds this morning, don't worry she's perfectly safe"

Georgie goes from giggling quietly to full blown eruptions of laughter, the two women exchanged looks and smiled, Kelly followed one and Georgie followed the other, reappearing twenty minutes later. Kelly had a blue cast on, Georgie's was bright pink.

"Hi fellow cast member"

Kelly looked at Georgie confused "Cast member?"

"Yes" Georgie pointed at her pink cast and Kelly's blue cast "Cast members, we have casts on our wrists so cast members"

"Yeah ok"

"Come on dopey"

"Are you two boyfriend and girlfriend?"

Georgie shakes her head quickly "Nope this guy is my brother and sorry unavailable" Georgie walks out the room not before popping her head back in "Kelly you coming?"

"Where?"

"Well to kick my dad's ass for starters"

"Just don't break any other bones"

"Speaking of which did Doctor rambler tell us how long we were in these casts for?"

Before Kelly could reply Doctor Rambler, sorry Willis jogged towards them out of breath and covered in vast amounts of sweat, he just holds up the paperwork they both required and then face plants the floor.

"Oh my?"

Georgie and Kelly crouch down at the doctors head "Do you think he's OK?"

"He's breathing so that's a good sign"

Georgie looks up from Doctor Willis to see Hank, Jay, Boden and Stella walking towards them, Stella looks down at the Doctor on the floor and then back at Georgie and Kelly "What did you do?"

Georgie holds up her hands "Nothing!"

"Mmmmm ok"

"Stella it's the truth, he jogged towards us from his office handed us some paperwork we need and then fell into the position you see him in now, we did nothing to him, even if he was a bumbling idiot!"

"Here, here"

"You ok Georgie?"

Georgie glares at Hank "I'll have a conversation with you when I'm ready!"

Hank nods "That's understandable"

"Now I'm going to return to 51 with Kelly and speak to my Chief there"

"Severide?"

Kelly simply nods his head at Boden before following Georgie down the corridor to the lifts, Kelly finds Georgie grinning before she looks over her shoulder and looks directly at Stella "Stella you coming?"

Stella exchanges looks with Hank, Jay and Boden "Urhh yep"

Stella jogs down the corridor and joins Kelly and Georgie at the lift as the doors open, they step in as the doors start to close Georgie turns around and flips the three men with the middle finger, Stella looks on in shock for two reasons.

Georgie Powell the polite, quiet paramedic of 61 just stuck her middle finger up at Chief Boden, Hank Voight and Jay Halstead and never batted an eyelid.

Georgie and Kelly were wholeheartedly laughing and Stella was stumped as to why, then it finally snuck in.

"I'm going to have to get used to this aren't I?"

Georgie nods "You sure are Auntie Stella"

"Ooh does that mean I can spoil the twins for their birthday in three weeks?"

Stella stood in the lift batting her eyelids and pleading with her hands "Please who else can I spoil?"

"Hey underappreciated boyfriend here?"

"Aww I'll show you later how appreciated you are!"

"LALALALALA!"

"Come on Georgie it's not like you don't know what she means, hello mom to almost nine year old twins"

"I repeat LALALA" Georgie points at Kelly and Stella "Don't make me an Aunt just yet, still just getting used to the fact I have an older brother, how old are you anyway? Forty?"

"Rude!" Kelly shakes his head laughing "Try thirty-five"

"Close enough" Georgie looks around the lift "Shouldn't we have got to our floor by now?"

Stella also looks around the lift "Yes, but I can't hear anything"

"Come to think about it neither can I?"

"You're seriously not suggesting that two firefighters and a paramedic are stuck in a lift?"

Kelly presses the buttons for the lift before turning around to face Georgie and Stella "I'm not suggesting it, it's a fact!"

"Wish I'd took the stairs"

Stella and Georgie exchange looks and sit down on the floor, watching Kelly kicking at the door of the lift and pressing all buttons on the lift panel.

An hour later found Georgie and Stella laughing and Kelly groaning his head leaning back onto the lift "Who suggested I spy in a lift, oh wait it was me"

"Getting forgetful in your old age?"

"Hey!"

"Who's turn is it?"

Kelly raises his left hand "That would be me, right ok I spy with my little eye something beginning with B.A"

"B.A? What the hell Kelly?"

Georgie looks around the lift and then back at Stella "B.A?"

"Yes B.A and no amount of repeating yourselves will help. So I repeat for the last time B.A"

Stella and Georgie exchange looks and take one last look around the lift seeing nothing they both sigh "Ok Kelly what is B.A?"

"Both of you give up?"

Georgie and Stella nod, Kelly smirks "Ok B.A stands for bugger all! I spy with my little eye bugger all!"

Another thirty minutes of torture Kelly was ready to kill someone and it was a close competition between his girlfriend and sister, Georgie was in first place followed closely by Stella "Will you two give it a rest?"

"Nope!" Georgie emphasised the P in nope "We're having fun, do you not like our renditions of the songs?"

"If I wanted to hear cats in pain I'd of gone to the zoo, please for my sanity do something else, anything else"

Georgie and Stella looked at each other and Stella giggled quietly "Ok then brother, I spy with my little eye?"

Kelly groaned and let his head hit the back of the lift "You would think 51, anyone would have noticed us missing?"

"You don't think this is punishment for me flipping the bird?"

"It best not be!"

"Severide you ok in there?"

"Debatable, what took you so long?"

"We knew you were stuck in a lift but not what lift?"

"How is that even possible?"

"Hey Severide, it's Otis"

"Yeah? Going to give me the reason why it's taken an hour and thirty minutes..."

"Actually it's an hour and forty-three minutes"

"Shut up Georgie! Seriously how much longer is this going to take?"

"Should have you out in another ten minutes, hopefully"

"Hopefully? Seriously Otis your the lift guy get it done and quickly"

"Yes, yes I know see you soon Severide"

Otis stepped away from the lift and smiled at Boden "Severide sounds annoyed, Georgie sounds OK and Stella was quiet even though I heard her giggling, how much longer Chief?"

"You said ten minutes, so ten minutes"

"When did you suddenly take orders from Voight?"

"I'm giving Voight ample chance of get out of Med before Georgie and Severide get hold of him"

Otis looks shocked "Must be big if he doesn't want to be anywhere near Georgie, she seems so quiet"

Boden nods "If you only knew the truth"

"Brian Zvonecek open this god damn door right now!"

"Will you protect me from Severide?"

Boden smiles and nods his head and Otis makes his way to open the door, he takes a leap back as Kelly jumps out of the lift kisses the floor and then jumps at Otis kissing him and runs down the corridor "FREEDOM!"

Otis and Boden exchange looks and then look at both Georgie and Stella smiling back at them.

"Would you look at that my answer is L, light"

Stella gets up from the floor and laughs and stands beside Georgie outside of the lift "Thank you Otis"

"No problem"

Stella and Otis move away and down the corridor, Georgie looks up at her Chief "You did that on purpose didn't you?"

"No comment"

Georgie shakes her head and smiles at Boden following him down the corridor and out of Med, Georgie gets into 61 and smiles all the way back to 51. Sylvie kept giving Georgie odd looks, Georgie just kept on smiling until they pulled onto the apparatus floor and there stood Jay.

"Need me to stay around 61?"

"No thanks, see you in a few"

Sylvie nods and gets out the drivers side and walked into the firehouse, Georgie sighed and got out of 61 and stood beside it watching Jay.

"Say something then Jay"

"I'm sorry"

Georgie laughed "You're sorry? Damn it Jay it should have been me shot lying in Med recovering, but it's not its Will, your brother. He...he"

Jay pulled Georgie into a hug and stroked her hair "I know I've seen the footage I'll be forever grateful to him for that, I'm also grateful you kept him alive. Husband?"

"Spur of the moment"

Kelly came out onto the apparatus floor, Boden wanted to see them, Kelly coughed as he got closer to Georgie and Jay "Hey sorry but Chief wants to see us"

"Ok sure, see you later?"

Jay nods "Sure, for what it's worth Kelly sorry for earlier, you were only looking out for the one you love"

"As a sister Jay, come to the house later and we'll talk, when I mean we'll I mean me, you and Kelly"

"Jay I'll look after her Ok?"

Jay smiles and walks out of 51, Kelly and Georgie walk through 51 to Boden's office, he looks up as they approach and waves them in. Kelly shuts the office door and then sits down. Boden sighs and takes off his glasses.

"Care to explain to me as to why you two are so close and it doesn't seem to bother Stella? It bothers me I won't have either of you hurting her do you understand me?"

"Chief its not like that at all, I understand what it looks like and if you've noticed it so has the rest of 51"

Boden nods "Yes there's been comments made"

"You see Chief I do love Georgie but not in the way you think, that would be frowned upon this day and age"

"Right"

"Chief we're family"

"That's 51 for you, still doesn't give me a clear answer"

Georgie smiles "You see this big klutz is my brother, same father, different mother"

"What?"

"Wasn't what you were expecting Chief?"

"You could say that? Why did Alex never tell me? I...whoops"

"You knew my mom? Who else?"

"Nobody as far as I'm aware, I was at the same warehouse fire, different firehouse though. Alex was a hero she saved a lot of civilians and firefighters, your mom always said one more run, the last one was her last and her crews, Alex was my friend and she mine and I'll do everything in my power to protect her daughter, but I never knew Benny Severide was your father Georgie if I'd known I'd of kicked his ass to make sure he was there for you. But looks like history is repeating itself?"

"History repeating itself?"

"Yeah I class Boden as my father figure and I've never looked back" Boden nods his head at Kelly and Kelly smiles "You might have Hank as your father, but Boden is just as good, lucky you two father figures"

"Yeah I guess"

Boden picks up the paperwork from his desk "So looking at this you both have broken bones in your right wrist?" Georgie waves her pink cast, Kelly his blue one "Mmmm getting the doing things together down already I see! You are both off for six to eight weeks, enjoy your freedom get to know each other properly and Georgie check in with Voight"

Georgie sighs rolling her eyes "Yes Chief"

"No time like the present"

"Seriously Kelly I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon than speak to him right now"

"I'm going to remove all spoons from 51 right now!"

Kelly quickly walks out of the office and towards the common room, Georgie smirks at Boden "Does he really think I'll do that? Hello paramedic here I see enough crazy to actually not do the crazy stuff. The big brother routine is going to get old rather quickly"

Boden pats Georgie on the shoulder "Good luck!"

"Thanks, I think?" Georgie hears commotion from the common room and quickly makes her way there, Boden close behind.

On arrival they find Kelly with the entire cutlery drawer in his hand and Matt trying to take it off him "Kelly return the cutlery drawer back to its rightful place"

"What the hell are you doing Severide?"

Kelly looks at Boden "You heard her, gouge her eyes out with a spoon, jokes on her no cutlery no injuries"

Georgie stands beside Boden trying desperately not to laugh, everyone was starting to wonder what drugs Severide was on, whatever they were he needed off them right now!

"Lieutenant Severide return the cutlery drawer"

"But Chief?"

"NOW KELLY!"

Kelly jumped and put the cutlery drawer back and shrugged his shoulders at Georgie "I tried"

Georgie giggled and pulled Kelly into a hug and whispered "Idiot!"

"Ok that's enough I'm fed up of you two and doing this in front of Stella of all people"

"Herrmann it's ok"

"No it's not OK, how is it ok that he's with you and trying to get into the pants of our new paramedic?"

Kelly whispers into Georgie's ear "My reputation proceeds me I see"

Georgie bursts into giggles, everyone in the room stares open mouthed, Herrmann glares at Georgie and Kelly "You find this funny do you?"

"Herrmann seriously it's fine, I'm OK with their relationship so should you"

"Have I slipped into another dimension? How is it ok for Severide to be dating two attractive women? Next you'll be telling me he's dating Brett too!"

Sylvie looks up from her magazine "Not a cat in hells chance, no offence Severide"

"None taken"

Georgie smiles at Herrmann "You think I'm attractive, aww Herrmann that's so sweet"

"Yes well but that's not the point, the point is what you're doing is wrong on so many levels and you Stella not bothered about it baffles me!"

Georgie looks around the common room and smiles at Kelly and Boden who were smiling.

"Yes I love Kelly"

"I knew it, didn't I tell you Mouch? I knew it!"

Mouch shakes his head "Not once did you say anything to me"

Herrmann gives Mouch a look of 'Really' before he looks around the room "I did say that"

Everyone shakes their heads, Herrmann groans "You bunch of chickens, I called it!"

Georgie smiles "As I was about to say, yes I love Kelly but not as a boyfriend. Herrmann Kelly is my brother, same dad different mom!"

"SHIT! HOT!"

Everyone turns around to find Capp with his forefinger on his right hand in his mouth and a spoon flying across the room just missing Kelly's head, Georgie looks at Kelly who dodged the offending spoon "Hey Kelly that's one spoon you forgot about"

"Jesus Christ Capp!"

"Sobby" Capp tries to apologise with his finger in his mouth.

"I think that was a sorry?"

Capp just nods and walks over to the sink and places his finger under the cold running water, Georgie walks over to Herrmann who after his rant is sat down open mouthed.

"So you find me attractive Lieutenant Herrmann? What would your wife say?"

"I was saying it in anger, forget I even said it, done swept under the invisible carpet"

Georgie stops smiling and fakes tears "So you don't find me attractive? Oh Herrmann I'm hurt!"

"Hey I didn't say that either"

Georgie pretends to sob and let's a tear fall "Well I'm one or the other Herrmann I can't be both?"

"Oh for all the love that is holy, just forget it really, lifting invisible carpet done!"

Georgie sobs even more and sits beside Mouch who smiles as Georgie winks at him, he pulls her into a sideways hug and pats her arm "There, there Georgie. Herrmann really?"

"What?"

"It doesn't matter Mouch, just leave it I...I"

Georgie buries her head into Mouch and pretends to cry, Mouch rubbing her back and glaring at Herrmann, he whispers at Herrmann "Do something"

Herrmann sighs and sits in front of them on the coffee table "Look Georgie I'm really sorry, OK? Sometimes my mouth opens before brain engages, you are a very attractive women, but not for me. I'm a happily married man, who seems to like digging himself into holes, can you forgive me?"

Georgie starts to giggle into Mouch's shoulder, Herrmann jumps up and points at Georgie "You were faking it? You helped Mouch?"

Mouch just shrugs, Georgie giggles from her seat "Thank you for saying I'm attractive but never rant off at me again before you know all the facts, now we're going to have to learn you how to engage brain before mouth from now on Christopher"

"Yes ma'am" Herrmann salutes Georgie before walking quickly out of the common room and out of sight.

Boden smiles and points at Georgie and Kelly "You two are on medical leave, now leave!"

The rest of 51 left the common room and went onto the apparatus floor.

"Do we have to?"

"We could do dinner"

Georgie looked at Kelly and then down at their wrists "Yeah the one handed dinner, ooh or we could order in? Can we order in Chief? I know the perfect place"

"Yes, good luck getting money out of them, it's like trying to get blood out of a stone!"

"Paramedic here I got juice out of a peach whilst training, one of the many jokes I had to endure, nobody believed I could do it. I did and it was the most relaxed peach in history, my Chief at the time wasn't impressed they failed to tell me it was his peach. Fortunately he did see the funny side of it eventually"

Kelly stares in disbelieve, Boden smiles and turns away heading towards his office, he stops at the threshold and looks at Georgie "You leave my peaches alone"

"Wouldn't dream of it Chief, don't want to upset Donna now would I?"

Kelly falls from his chair, Georgie laughs and Boden walks away mumbling but with a smile on his face. Georgie helped Kelly up from the floor and they walk together onto the apparatus floor.

"Listen up!"

Everyone ignored Georgie, through no fault of their own, Georgie rolled her eyes and stood up on Squad three's table "LISTEN UP!"

"Georgie that table isn't stable!"

"Sssh Kelly, right we're ordering in and you will all pay your share. Place the money on the table now please, you don't pay you..."

The table gave way and Georgie was flung forward and landed on top of Tony, who caught her and held her on top of him, Georgie and Tony started to giggle.

"You alright?"

Tony nods and smiles "Yes Georgie" Tony's hands on her hips "Sorry Georgie, sorry Lieutenant"

Tony quickly pushes Georgie off and she rolls to the side "Hey could have warned me!"

"Yeah sorry Georgie, sorry Lieutenant"

"Why are you apologising to him? I was the one you flung to the floor!"

"Sorry Georgie, sorry Lieu..."

"Yeah I get it now pay up"

"Sorry Lieutenant"

Georgie giggles from the floor, Kelly groans. Cruz helps Georgie up from the floor and watches as everyone pays up, the playful glare from Georgie helped, once everyone paid up Georgie grabbed the money and went to the locker room to attempt to get changed and then go to get the very long list of pizzas.

Squad three picked up the table and settled down around it, ten minutes later Cruz spotted Georgie walking towards them, his mouth hit the table. Georgie was in a white tank top, light blue shorts and a pair of flip flops and her blond hair down and flowing down her back. Georgie noticed Cruz staring and raised her eyebrows and looked directly at Kelly.

"You look nice Georgie"

"Woah!"

Cruz rolled his eyes at Capp, Tony simply nodded. Kelly watched as his sister walked past them and stood talking to Otis, who kept nodding and glancing over at Kelly, Herrmann walked over from Engine 51 and slapped the back of Otis' head.

"I'll join you on the pizza run"

Georgie nods "Thanks Herrmann"

Georgie and Herrmann walk towards her SUV and climb in "Georgie how are you going to drive?"

"It's automatic"

"That's fortunate" Herrmann side glances at Georgie "So how you finding 51?"

"Herrmann it's great, everyone is so friendly and helpful"

"That's 51's way"

"I know, can you please thank Cindy for the help towards the twins birthday party?"

"You kidding she lives for this stuff"

Georgie nods that was obvious, in the short few days Cindy had offered to help she'd organised the invites, food and party games and helped Georgie purchase the twins birthday presents, her credit card took a good hit but it was worth it.

"We're here"

Georgie and Herrmann get out of the SUV and walk into the pizza parlour, the vendor sees Georgie and instantly comes towards her "GG you ok?"

"Hi Ren, got a broken wrist from punching dad but apart from that I'm ok" Georgie points at Herrmann "Ren this is my colleague Christopher Herrmann from firehouse 51"

"You both work at 51?"

"Yes Ren we do"

"You have a list for me?"

Georgie hands Ren the list and he snaps his fingers and the whole staff got working on making the pizzas, Georgie and Herrmann sit down and are handed a bottle of water each and a bowl of breadsticks.

Herrmann takes a breadstick and bites into it "Ren seems nice"

"I've known him for years, worked for him a brief period of time"

Ren appears and makes then jump "Best worker, we miss you GG"

"Aww Ren, you know why I left"

Ren nods "I spit on him"

"No need I haven't seen him in years"

"How are the young ones?"

Georgie smiles and takes out her phone "Ren they'll be nine years old in three weeks time"

"Nine? Oh wonderful, you bring them to see me? Yes?"

Georgie nods and smiles as the little Italian walks away "If your wondering who he wants to spit on, it was my ex, the twins sperms donor"

Herrmann nods and pats Georgie's arm, they sit in silence for thirty minutes when Ren appears covered in flour and red sauce.

"What happened to you?"

"Idiot son!"

"You have one of those too? Can we help?"

"No, no not long and your food ready, yes?"

Georgie giggles as Ren walks away muttering in Italian and leaving a trail of flour and red sauce, Herrmann takes one look at Georgie struggling not to laugh loudly, and in turn starts with his own uncontrollable giggles. Ren looks up and sees the mess he left and mutters even louder in Italian and now Georgie and Herrmann are crying in laughter hitting the table in front of them.

"Oh...my...goodness"

"I know I'm glad you're here with me, nobody would have believed me if I told them"

"Ooh he's coming back sssh don't laugh Georgie"

Georgie took in several deep breaths as Ren walked over to them "Your order is ready"

"Ok" Georgie struggles to not laugh "How...how...oh...my...god"

Georgie looks away and starts to giggle, Herrmann tries this time "Ren how much do we owe you?"

Ren shakes his head "Nothing, any friends of GG's is a friend to me"

"So on the house?"

"Literally" Herrmann bursts into laughter at Ren's confused expression "Never mind, thank you Ren"

Georgie nods as she's still trying not to laugh and walks out of the pizza parlour, she opens the trunk and gets in the drivers side waiting for Herrmann to load the pizzas and several other containers into the trunk before he shuts the trunk, before they pull away they wave at Ren who nods before turning around and throwing his arms around his head, smearing red sauce on the front window. Georgie and Herrmann look at each other and start to laugh.

Once back at 51 Georgie pulls her SUV onto the apparatus floor right behind Squad three, she gets out of the drivers side and opens her trunk, Capp and Tony stare at the SUV, the jet black Ford Ecosport SE SUV 4WD gleaming at them "Boys?"

"Woah your car is hot!"

Georgie raises her eyebrows at Capp who smiles back and grabs several boxes of pizza, Georgie leans over and whispers in his ear "You didn't mean the car did you?"

Capp shakes his head and then whispers "Well you are kinda hot, just don't tell Severide I said that"

Georgie giggles and watches as Capp heads into the common room, Georgie shuts the trunk and goes into the common room and stands beside the counter trying to choose a slice of pizza she wanted.

"Georgie can you get me a slice of meat lovers please?"

Georgie nods and grabs Kelly's slice and tosses it at him, missing Kelly's waiting left hand and it landed on top of Cruz's head and sliding down his face leaving a trail of pizza ingredients on his head and face.

"Oh my"

"GEORGIE!"

Georgie took off at a run and onto the apparatus floor, Cruz stood up to follow her and Kelly tripped him. Cruz stood up and ran out onto the apparatus floor to hear Georgie giggling from behind 61, he made his way over to find her missing and silence. Georgie jumped into Squad and hid, peering out and watching as Cruz heads back into 51, she slowly gets out of Squad and stands beside her SUV and by Chief's buggy. Hearing Cruz and Capp's voices she quickly jumps into the buggy and slips down into the back seat.

Georgie settled into the backseat and silently giggled as Cruz and Capp wandered around the apparatus floor, Boden opened his door and got in and groaned he couldn't move for Squad three in front of him and Georgie's SUV to the side and hanging over the back of 25.

"I'll move it now Chief"

"JESUS CHRIST!"

Georgie bursts into giggles "Oh Chief I'm so sorry"

Boden holding his chest smiles "It's fine just don't make a habit out of it, what you doing in here anyway?"

"Avoiding the pizza wearing Cruz"

"Your safe he's eating"

"Thanks, right best move my car"

Georgie got out of the buggy and into her car pulling it forward so Boden could reverse out and go wherever he was needed, Georgie slowly reversed out of 51 and parked the car outside, Georgie walked back up the apron onto the apparatus floor and then into 51's common room.

"Where did you go?"

"Giving the Chief a heart attack and moving my car back to the road"

Herrmann passed her a box of pizza "Here I remember you saying you only like cheese pizza"

Georgie lifted the lid to find a full pizza in the box "Aww thanks Herrmann"

Georgie sat beside Mouch on the couch and enjoyed the pizza, after everyone was full, Georgie gathered the remaining pizza together and put it the fridge just at that point the whole firehouse was called out to a warehouse fire leaving Georgie and Kelly at 51, they both walked around checking that everything that needed securing was secure and then made their way to Georgie's house. Kelly texted Jay for him to come over. When they arrived they found Jay stood on the driveway.

"Hey guys"

Kelly nodded "Halstead, Georgie that is a killer ride, grateful it's automatic"

Georgie giggles "At least you didn't call the car hot I suppose"

"Capp? I'm going to kill him!"

"No you won't"

"No but I will!"

Georgie rolls her eyes "Seriously its fine, who's my dad?"

Both Jay and Kelly nod, Kelly more so than Jay after all Georgie's biological dad was Benny Severide and her two adopted dad's were Hank Voight and Wallace Boden nobody with that information would ever upset Georgie again add a protective best friend and brother and you would have a whole world of pain.

Jay, Kelly and Georgie settle onto the couch and chat, Jay was grateful that Kelly was at 51 and would look after Georgie, even though Georgie could look after herself but Jay and Kelly were insistent on it, Georgie sighed in defeat and kicked them both out so she could sleep before going to pick her children up from school, at three in the afternoon Georgie was pulling off her drive heading the kids school, already getting in touch with school so the twins wouldn't be put on the school bus.

Georgie parked up and walked up to where other mums stood in their little groups, she stood off to the side waiting for Alexander and Abigail to come out of school, Georgie could tell she was being spoken about in hushed tones but she didn't let it bother her.

"G you are a hard woman to track down!"

Georgie smiles as all the women turned and looked at Kelly jogging towards her "Hey Kelly"

"Hey! I had to ring Jay to find out where the kids school was"

Georgie giggles "We're being watched"

Kelly looks at all the women looking at them both, Kelly bows "Afternoon ladies"

Georgie bursts into uncontrollable giggles and pulls Kelly further up the path "You're an idiot!"

Kelly shrugs his shoulders and looks over his shoulder and waves at the women staring at them, Georgie rolls her eyes but then smiles as Alexander and Abigail come running towards them.

"Mom, Kelly"

"Wow its so good to see you Kelly"

"Hi buddy, hi Abs"

"Kelly what happened to your wrist? And yours mom?"

"We got angry and punched your granddad"

"What did he do?"

"That's a conversation for home"

Abigail stamped her foot "No you tell me now! Why are you and Kelly not at work and both hurt? No secrets mom, that's our family rules"

"Abigail Camille Powell-Voight I promise to tell you everything when we get home"

Abigail folded her arms across her chest and sat on the floor, Alexander sat beside his sister and they both glared at Georgie and Kelly. Kelly sat beside them and sighed "Look guys there's a lot to talk about and here outside your school in front of them" Kelly pointed at the other moms staring and sniggering "Is not the correct way, now get up and get to the car!"

Abigail and Alexander look at Kelly and nod "Ok Kelly"

Abigail, Alexander and Kelly get to their feet and walk past a very shocked Georgie "What the hell?"

"Excuse me but is he your boyfriend?"

Georgie giggles pointing at Kelly "Who him? No he's my brother and taken, now put your tongues back in your mouths and move along"

"How dare you?"

Georgie laughs "Quite well actually, you were judging me since I stepped around that corner, young blond, must not have any sense, well I have complete sense"

"We weren't judging you!"

Georgie rolls her eyes "Oh really? You weren't so clever not to show it. Well here goes I'm twenty seven years old almost twenty-eight I own my own house and car and I work at firehouse 51 on Ambo 61 and I got this injury due to punching my best friend and dad for making jokes about my friend who I saved after he was shot protecting me. He almost died in my arms and I was almost blown up by a crazed gun bomb covered maniac so judge me all you like, you'll never accomplish anything in your life, I'm a Paramedic with the Chicago fire department, my brother a Elite firefighter, you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth and all that, now if you don't mind my children need me"

Kelly, Alexander and Abigail were stood with the biggest grins on their faces, Georgie walks past them and towards her car, the twins and Kelly following, once everyone was safely in their seats Georgie purposely drove past the crowd of women and smiled as in her opinion her Ford Ecosport SE SUV 4WD was the best car coming out of the car park.

"Mom?"

"Yes Alexander?"

"Two things, one can you call me Alex? And two brother?"

Georgie sighs and pulls over and looks into the back of the car "Alex, Abi I just found out that I have a big brother and you've gained a Uncle"

"Ooh really? Who?"

Kelly smiled and pointed at me "You're looking at him"

Alex smiled from one ear to the other "Awesome!"

Abi giggles "Our mom and Uncle work for the CFD, ooh Alex maybe we could ask if firehouse 51 could come to school?"

Kelly smirks at the twins "You mean show off?"

"Mom forgive me?"

Georgie nodded, Alex smiled back at them both "Damn right, maybe we could get Grandpa Hank to come with his team too, show them how bad ass our family really are!"

Kelly and Georgie laugh, Georgie pulls back into traffic and heads towards Ren's pizza parlour when they arrive they find Ren stood outside still slightly covered in red sauce as Georgie approaches he smiles.

"GG you came back, are they the little ones?"

"Yes Ren this is Alexander and Abigail, they prefer Alex and Abi and this is my big brother Kelly"

"Welcome, please come sit eat"

"Thank you Ren"

"Yes, yes. You two get anything you want, yes?"

Georgie nods and smiles at Kelly, Alex and Abi "Don't worry he's harmless if not rather batty"

"No bats, you order now?"

Kelly laughs as Georgie recovers from jumping out of her skin "Just give us a few minutes"

Ren stands there staring at them all, Kelly points at the counter "Go wait over there"

Ren nods "Yes of course"

Abi and Alex giggle as Ren walks away from them, Kelly shakes his head "Definitely batty"

Georgie laughs and grabs the menu, after everyone orders Ren's staff prepare and cook the food. Georgie stares into space, Kelly waves his hand in front of her face "Earth to Georgie you in there?"

Georgie shake her head "Yes sorry, what did you say?"

"I said can we go to the park afterwards?"

"Yeah sure"

Kelly, Alex and Abi high five each other and start to eat their food, Georgie just smiles her family was getting bigger and she wouldn't have it any other way. Once everyone had eaten Ren gave Alex and Abi an ice cream each and $10 each and waved them off, once again not wanting payment from Georgie and Kelly.

Georgie drove to the nearest park and watched as Lieutenant Kelly Severide the no nonsense man of 51 and the CFD was currently running around the park laughing and enjoying himself, currently he wasn't the thirty-four year old he was currently a eight year old having lots of fun. Georgie kept giggling and didn't notice the figure coming towards her until the shadow came into view.

Georgie quickly turned around "You?"

Benny Severide smiled at Georgie and then over towards Kelly playing with the twins "I see you two know about each other, are they my grandchildren? You look so much like Alex Georgie"

Georgie stood up from the bench and glared at Benny "Go away you're not wanted by me, you have no right to be here"

"I have every right, your my daughter and Kelly's my son, those children are my grandkids and you won't stop me from getting to know them"

"Listen old man, you come near me or my family again I'll bury you, got it?"

Benny nodded and watched as Georgie walked away, Benny needed to have words with Hank and Wallace they were close to Kelly and Georgie, they were the only ones to make his adult children to both see sense, how wrong was Benny?
