This chapter explains why Emma is friends with the scientists.

Emma

It's going to be hard, I have to get scientists, who believe that facts are facts, to believe in fairytale characters and magic! I stared at the little group from across the room, they're normal. That's the other thing, I don't want to ruin their normality. But we need them, Belle needs them. I breathed in, then out, then I walked over to them. I sat next to Raj.

"Hey guys!" I greeted them.

"Hello." They all said in unison.

"Let me ask you guys something, what do you think of fairytales?" I asked, my heart beating loudly in my ears.

"Fairyales are complete hokum!" Sheldon exclaimed, oh crap! Even if I get the others to believe, there's no way I'm going to get Sheldon Cooper to believe.

"I used to love them when I was little, although, we all did." Raj pointed out. Sheldon coughed loudly.

"Everyone except Sheldon Cooper loved fairytales when they were little." Raj corrected. I'll do it, I'll tell them, I decided, even if they don't believe me.

"Guys-"

"Hey guys!" I looked up at the speaker, it's the interviewer and, to quote Sheldon; A fellow scientist, from the other night.

"Oh! Hello, Emma... is it? You're a scientist too, right?" She asked.

"Yes." I lied. Oh! I know why I recognise her! She's... a character in Henry's comic books.

She sat next to Leonard, unaware that she's in the wrong story, unless...

I watched as she sat next to Leonard.

"Leonard, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure!" He exclaimed, blissfully unaware of this new, odd and complicated situation. How I envy him.

"In private." I added.

"O...kay." He said as I pulled him out of his seat and into the corridor.

"What's going on with you? You've been acting all strange since you sat down-"

"Fairytale characters are real!" I blurted.

"Also, Lena is a character from a comic book. She's not meant to be here unless she's connected to someone from my family." I added. It seemed like an eternity before he said something.

"I discovered a whole other world in the Northern Lights yesterday. If you told me all this before I did, I wouldn't have believed you. But I do." He told me.

"Oh." I smiled.

"Do you think Superman will be as awesome in real life as he is in the comic books?" Leonard asked.

"I'm not the person you want to talk about that with. I'll introduce you to my son once we figure out what's going on here. He loved comic books when he was a teenager." I replied.

"So you think Lena's somehow related to one of your family members?" He asked.

"I'm pretty sure she is. There's no reason for her to be in our story otherwise." I replied.

"How come me and my friends are in your story? I'm pretty none of us are related to your family."

"I think you guys are surprise heroes. Or... something like that. Haven't figured you lot out yet but I'm pretty sure you're not the villains." I told him.

"Mmm, I'd keep an eye on Sheldon if I were you." We both grinned.

"When are you going to tell them?" Leonard asked.

"Now."
