Author's Note: Wow. Okay, it's been just barely not 5 years since I last wrote anything for this, and I want to slap the complete sticker on this thing, so here we are.
For your patience, thank you. And I'm sorry. This chapter is going to be a big switch up from the previous chapters in style as it's going to be a fast and loose summary/outline cobbled together on vaguely remembered plans, what scant notes (if they can be called that) I left myself, and what I have learned in the years since. Because honestly, I lost motivation for this story long ago, but I do want this to be complete.
So here we go!
When last we left off, Orihime and the Harry Potter kids had just run into Voldemort in the Atrium of the Ministry, Uryu was facing off against an Arrancar OC, Urahara and Thunder-Cat!Yoruichi were facing off against Hollow!Shinji after Urahara made them transform to escape a Fullbringer OC's mind control, and Ichigo was battling twin Shinigami OCs.
So, Ichigo wins his fight because it's a battle of attrition and he's a goddamn super tank. The OCs weren't even really seated officer-level and meant to even the playing field with zanpakuto powers and teamwork, so it wasn't ever truly in their favor (Past!Me did such a shit job setting up the throw away OCs). The girl had a shield with a soporific effect against whoever hit it, but I'm thinking Ichigo probably got frustrated enough to hit hard enough to cut that shield in half or something. And once the shield is broken, it's not so good at doing its job (assuming Ichigo didn't also, like, chop her arm off in the process of destroying the shield). The boy had a damage duplication blade, any hit he took, the attacker would receive in turn, but Ichigo can take way more punishment than a throw away OC. Basically, Ichigo just slapped the OCs hard enough to blow past their defenses because the Hall of Prophecies was already wrecked anyways while he was trying to play nice.
Uryu wins his fight because… you know I'm not sure what the plan was there. Sprengen? I mentioned Ginto tubes before and explosions are cool… Or maybe he pulled out Seele-Schneider and cut through all those pesky strings/wires with his high rpm chainsaw sword/arrow. Point is, win for the Quincy boy. And he binds the Arrancar up with a special Quincy thing, either special spirit strings or Gritz (that thing he used against his dad).
I think, since the Fullbringer OC was already down, it was mostly going to be "playtime" between Thunder-Cat!Yoruichi and Hollow!Shinji. Until either those two got themselves under control, or Urahara poked them with some drug or other to calm them down. I mean, things for them were mostly concluded last chapter.
And finally, big finale with the Harry Potter boss fight. I apparently barely started this before giving up so:
"What have you done with my prophecy, Potter?" Voldemort asked, glaring at Harry.
"It's gone," Harry defiantly stated. "Shattered like the rest."
"A pity," Voldemort lamented for a moment, "but I suppose killing you shall make up for your wretched interference. Avada Kadvra!"
As Voldemort cast the spell, Harry fell, his legs swept out from beneath him by Orihime. He was winded by the sudden fall, but it was better than being dead, seeing as the spell passed through where his chest was moments ago.
"Take cover!" Orihime shouted, grabbing the back of Harry's shirt and dragging him behind a mangled piece of the fountain statue. Hermione and Ginny duck behind the same statue while Luna, Neville, and Ron crouch behind a different fragment.
"No!" Voldemort screeched, firing off spells that spark and crack against the pavement as the students retreat.
"Tsubaki! Koten Zanshun!"
I don't know what was next originally, but looking at this now, here's the story I weave:
Tsubaki cuts Voldie's wand in half while he's slinging a deadly spell. As we know from Ron's mishaps in casting with a broken wand, this is the sort of thing that backfires on the wizard.
So oops, oh no, oh well, Voldie explodes himself dead.
Of course, with the Horcruxes still in play, the Dark Lord isn't going to stay dead, and in fact his wraithly form is left where his body was before exploding.
Orihime decides that needs to be captured, so Souten Kishun, I choose you! Because if Ichigo can't escape that before she's had her way with him, Voldie doesn't stand a chance.
Kinda torn on whether Orihime would then reject the nasty, incomplete soul out of existence, or heal him into one whole piece, either way destroying the Horcruxes. Probably healing destruction though because she's too sweet to straight up murder people. Harry gets a nasty headache from the process, but isn't going to complain about the evil wizard fragment that was accidentally dragged out of him.
About this time, Dumbledore and the Order show up for a smack down that's already done and over with, while Ichigo comes up a bloody mess with two unconscious(? He's not exactly opposed to killing at times) bodies.
Orihime: Ichigo, can you konso this thing?
Ichigo: Sure *does the konso and the Gates of Hell take Voldie*
Harry (and/or other HP characters): What the bloody hell was that?!
I: Ironically, hell.
H: Hell?!
I: Make bad choices, get bad consequences.
And now it's time to get going while the going is good, because Ichigo freaking wrecked the Ministry fighting the Shinigami twin OCs. Fudge has a meltdown over the mysterious mass destruction later. And the prominent society member(s) in Death Eater robes found in the rubble alongside the escaped convicted Death Eaters. What do you mean a kid with a sword did all this? This is not the kind of thing that can be done with a sword! Even a magic sword! Fudge is very worried about the mental damage done to his good friend Lucius Malfoy by these crazed Death Eaters who obviously Imperiused him.
The kids get brought back to Hogwarts, Uryu sneaks back into the castle, Urahara and gang show up with another maybe-unconscious body (and collect the Arrancar).
Obligation fulfilled, the Bleach characters are ready to peace out and leave the wizards to clear up what's left of their own mess. Clean up includes Dumbledore collecting Umbridge from the centaurs and taking back his school, playing innocent/ignorant to the fiasco at the Ministry, and double checking that Voldie's soul anchors were properly severed. And that gets done before school fully lets out.
So sayonara and see you again probably never.
The end.
Author's Note: Phew, all done now.
Honestly, I've learned some things in the 8 years since I started this story. Such as that the plot for this is actually pretty terrible and a waste of crossover potential. I stubbornly gilded Order of the Phoenix with Bleach characters when a good crossover uses canon more as guideposts than the absolute road to follow. I'm not saying this fic didn't have its moments, because it did, but overall, the plot was a garbage rehash. Of course, I also don't have the motivation to go back and try to fix this, so I'll leave it here as it is. A monument to how bad a writer I was, once upon a time, that people enjoyed anyways.
If you want to see more by me, you can always check out my page here, or search me up on AO3, where I write most stuff nowadays. The pen name's the same.
So thanks for tagging along to the end of this story, whether you read it through new or were here since the beginning (and those of you who were, patience of saints, man).
Ja ne!
