After returning from vacation, and after his next shift, Todoroki drove down to an apartment building in Tompkinsville, in the Staten Island borough. He headed into the building and knocked on a certain door. He fidgeted nervously as he awaited for the person inside to answer the door, which she did soon enough:

"Shoto, hi there! Come on in!"

"Thank you, Mother."

Todoroki's mother Rei let him into her apartment, which was rather simply decorated, having a few knick-knacks here and there in addition to the usual assortment of electronics.

"So, what brought you here today?" asked Rei.

Todoroki smiled. "Well, I was on vacation recently, and I had some time to think about my life, and I just wanted to let you know that I completely forgive you for scarring me as a child. I realize your relationship with Father wasn't the easiest, but I know you did your best to raise me with love and kindness, and I appreciate your efforts."

"Oh, Shoto!"

Rei gave Todoroki a big hug, which he gladly returned. While he did shed a few tears, he was mostly cried out from being overjoyed at seeing Deko revived. Nevertheless, coming full-circle with his own mother meant so much to him. Eventually, they broke away from the hug.

"I prepared a nice Thanksgiving meal for both of us," said Rei.

"Splendid! I'll gladly have some!"

And so, Rei grabbed a plate and utensils for Todoroki to serve himself some turkey and other fixins. Even if the end of the Binge Drinker didn't mean an end to vampires everywhere, at least Todoroki could look to the future with that much more hope now.

Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
