Last chapter, Brayden battled Erika, the Grass-type Gym Leader. After a thrilling match, Pidgeotto and Vileplume defeated Erika's Vileplume and Victreebel, earning Brayden his fourth badge. In the aftermath of this victory, Trace made the difficult decision to part ways with our hero. Now they both face rematches with other Gym Leaders…
Route 6…
"Okay, Pikachu! We're nearly done training for our rematch with Lt. Surge! If you're going to beat his Raichu, you need to hit fast and hard! Use Quick Attack!"
"Pika!"
The electric mouse ran forwards at high speed, pushing himself to go even faster. Ever since he watched Brayden's Mankey defeat Surge's Raichu, he had longed to do the same. Not just for the sake of winning the Thunder Badge for Trace, but also to keep up with his simian rival.
Of course, Primeape had vanished after he had evolved and chased away Loki's squad of Rocket Grunts, and while this fact continued to pain Pikachu nearly as much as Trace and Brayden, he firmly believed they would meet again someday. As such, he would have to become stronger than ever before, especially if he was to find his old enemy Gideon as Trace had promised him.
"Come on, Pikachu! Speed up! You can do it!" Trace encouraged.
The other four Pokémon cheered on in unison.
The sounds of his friends' support literally sparked something within Pikachu. As he ran with all his might, his body became cloaked in electricity, and he got a sharp speed increase. Realizing that he had discovered a new power, he made a beeline for a nearby rock and smashed headfirst into it with a fierce shout.
"PIKACHU!"
To the amazement of Trace and the others, the stone shattered into pieces. Pikachu came to a halt, feeling a sharp twinge of pain as the electricity fizzled out, but he stood up and grinned with satisfaction.
"Awesome! You just learned a new move, didn't you, Pikachu?!" Trace shouted excitedly.
Pikachu smiled at Trace and gave him a thumbs-up.
With this new move at their disposal, Trace knew they were finally ready to face Surge once more. As he walked back to the Pokémon Center with his team, he thought momentarily of Brayden, his good friend.
You ought to be back in Saffron City by now. I hope you beat Sabrina this time!
Saffron City…
"We made it at last! You guys ready for our rematch with Sabrina?!"
"War, tortle!"
"Free, Butterfree!"
"Electrode!"
Brayden had already decided to use the same three Pokémon he had used before. They had done plenty of training since last time, and Butterfree had even learned a Bug-type move, Silver Wind. They were confident that they would win this time.
"Vi, Vileplume!" Vileplume said encouragingly as they walked through the city together.
"Otto!" Pidgeotto chimed in. He was perched on top of Vileplume's head, taking a rest from constant flight.
Pidgeotto and Vileplume would gladly fight if asked, but seeing as the two of them were fresh from victory over Erika, neither of them were upset about being passed over from this next Gym battle. They were content to cheer on their friends from the comfort of their Poké Balls.
Brayden was so focused on reaching the Gym that he didn't hear someone running up from behind until it was too late.
"WOAH!"
"WART!"
A boy who appeared to be close to Brayden's age had stumbled over Wartortle while in a frenzied dash, causing both of them to fall over. Wartortle got up and rubbed his head while glaring at the one responsible for his tumble.
"You okay, Wartortle?" Brayden asked.
Wartortle nodded, but he continued to look unapprovingly at the other boy.
"Yikes! Sorry about that. I'm in a rush! Master Koichi has a scheduled match against a fellow pupil soon! I definitely don't want to miss that!"
"Timburr burr!" cried the boy's Pokémon. It was certainly an odd-looking one. It was short, bi-pedal and had grey skin. There were pink protrusions all over it's body, and it was carrying a squares log.
"What sort of Pokémon are you?" Brayden wondered as he fetched out his Pokédex from his backpack.
The device hummed for several seconds as it tried to locate the data of the Pokémon, but…
"No data available."
"Wh…what?"
Brayden couldn't believe it. His Pokédex had identified every Pokémon he had found so far, even Ariana's Murkrow had been registered. Was this Pokémon from somewhere far away?
"That doesn't surprise me," the boy said. "Timburr and I are from the Unova Region. None of the Pokémon there can be found here in Kanto."
It dawned on Brayden that this guy was wearing a martial arts outfit, similar to the ones worn by two men who had taught Trace's Pikachu and his then-Mankey powerful moves.
This recollection caused a sudden jab of pain in Brayden's arm, causing him to cry out and grab it.
"What was that? Something wrong with your arm?"
"It's nothing," Brayden insisted. "Just the ghost of an old injury."
The sling his arm had been placed in had been torn off during the last fight with Team Rocket, but after having been treated by Erika's herbs and spending a week resting at Celadon's Pokémon Center, Brayden had been reassured that his arm had mended. That hadn't stopped the occasional bursts of pain from happening, though.
"Anyway, where's this match happening? It sounds interesting."
"At the Fighting Dojo, of course! Visitors are always welcome, so if you want to come watch, that's okay. We should hurry, though! Come on!"
As they took off, the boy introduced himself.
"I'm Zachary, by the way. Who are you?"
Brayden grinned.
"My name's Brayden!"
When they reached the building, Brayden noted how conveniently close it was in proximity to the Gym. As they entered, Brayden had the feeling there was something important that he had forgotten regarding this place. What was it…?
Once inside, Brayden was surprised to see that nobody was in the main area.
"Where is everyone? There's a battlefield here, but no one's using it…"
"Oh, that battlefield is mainly for practice bouts and matches with visitors. Scheduled matches take place in the outdoor arena. Right through there," Zachary said, pointing at a set of sliding doors.
Stepping through the doors, Brayden and his Pokémon were awestruck. Several people were gathered around, but rather than cheering, they were almost completely silent.
"Good, looks like we made it in time," Zachary said, breathing a sigh of relief. "The match hasn't started yet. They're in pre-battle meditation."
Brayden looked around at all the students who were gathered around the field, and when he spotted a familiar face, he gasped. It was none other than Bruce, the Kicking Master!
"Bruce! I haven't seen him since that day in Vermillion City!" Brayden said.
"Quiet, please. We mustn't interrupt their meditation," Zachary whispered hastily.
"Oh, sorry," Brayden apologized quietly.
"It's fine. You said you know Master Bruce?"
"Uh-huh. He taught one of my Pokémon to use Mega Kick a while back. I sort of forgot about him," Brayden added with slight embarrassment.
He looked over at the battlefield and spotted Koichi kneeling down with his eyes closed.
"So that's the Karate Master, huh? The guy who trained Bruce and Jackie?"
"Right. He's been teaching here for decades. He was even the Gym Leader of this city many years ago," Zachary explained.
Standing off to the side of the battlefield in the officiator's spot was another man in similar clothes to everyone else, but he was bare-chested and even more muscular.
"Who's that?" Brayden asked.
"You don't know? That's Master Bruno! The second-ranked Elite Four member and Master Koichi's greatest student!" Zachary said, bursting with admiration.
Brayden's eyes went wide with shock. It took all his willpower to avoid shouting 'WHAT' at the top of his lungs.
"Wow, what's he doing here?"
"Master Koichi won't say," Zachary said. "Only he, Master Bruno and Master Bruce know."
Intrigued, Brayden cast his gaze to the other end of the battlefield, and when he saw who was standing there, his heart skipped a beat.
"A… Primeape? With no Trainer…?"
Zachary shrugged.
"I don't know why he's here, but he is. Master Bruno found him wandering the streets and brought him here. Nearly tore the dojo apart in a rage, but Master Bruce insisted that he stay. In the whole time the furry one's been here, only Master Bruno has beaten him."
Brayden's blood ran cold. Why did that sound so much like his own Primeape?
At that moment, Koichi finally opened his eyes and stood up; Primeape did the same.
Without saying a word, Koichi threw out an Ultra Ball, from which a very large and bulky Pokémon emerged.
"Another Pokémon I've never seen before!" Brayden said.
"That's Hariyama," Zachary said. "It's the Master's strongest Pokémon. Even Primeape will have a tough time defeating it."
"BEGIN!" Bruno bellowed.
Immediately, Hariyama and Primeape ran to the center of the field.
"Use Arm Thrust!" Koichi commanded.
Hariyama swiftly thrust his palms at Primeape repeatedly, but the simian effortlessly ducked and dodged each attack. At the first available opportunity, Primeape unleashed a Brick Break on Hariyama's head. Though it was a critical hit, Hariyama barely reacted to it.
"Low Sweep!" Koichi ordered.
With one swift motion, Hariyama delivered a sweeping kick to Primeape's legs, knocking him over.
"Ooh, that's going to lower Primeape's speed!" Zachary said. "There goes his best advantage against Hariyama."
Brayden said nothing. He was paying close attention to Primeape. Just because he had no Trainer didn't mean he was that Primeape, right…?
Primeape got up and backed away from his opponent. Once he was at a distance he deemed safe, he punched the ground, causing several rocks to emerge, which he immediately flung at Hariyama.
"Rock Tomb!" Brayden exclaimed. "Primeape's trying to slow Hariyama too!"
Hariyama watched calmly as the rocks crashed down around him, dealing damage to the bulky Pokémon and dropping his speed.
"You aren't hoping to use that same old strategy of using Mega Kick while we're pinned down, are you?" Koichi asked with amusement.
Primeape narrowed his eyes, annoyed.
Brayden and Wartortle were shocked. That's the exact strategy that their old friend loved using!
"Hariyama, Arm Thrust!"
The Arm Thrust Pokémon rapidly thrust his hands into each boulder, shattering them in quick succession.
"You can't expect that tactic to work on everyone. You must teach yourself more maneuvers, so that you can battle any opponent! For example— Hariyama, Belly Drum!"
Hariyama slapped his stomach with his hands as though it were a drum, causing a brief flash of red light. Hariyama looked as though he had suddenly been struck a tremendous blow, but his muscles grew dramatically.
"Have you seen this technique before?" Koichi asked Primeape. "Belly Drum maximizes one's physical strength, but cuts the user's stamina in half. A risky maneuver, but one that reaps great rewards when utilized properly!"
Primeape was stunned. Why would his opponent willingly lower his own stamina? That would only make it easier for him to win. Though he had to admit, using Outrage was hardly any different from that.
"The Master used Belly Drum?! He must want to end this fast!" Zachary said, trembling with excitement .
Brayden was trembling too, but not with excitement. As great as this battle was, great pain was building up in his arm again. All the evidence pointed to this Primeape being his lost friend, but he didn't want to believe it.
It CAN'T be Primeape, he told himself. Just because he knows that strategy and acts similar doesn't mean he's the same one. Keep it together, Brayden…
Refusing to back down, Primeape rushed towards Hariyama and jumped, throwing out his foot for a Mega Kick.
"Evade!" Koichi shouted.
Hariyama dropped to the floor and rolled to the right, causing Primeape to miss. Frustrated, Primeape immediately dropped to the ground, skidded to a halt, and rushed for his foe, determined to prove he wasn't predictable.
Nobody at the dojo knew that Primeape had picked up another method of using Mega Kick while being pursued by that wild Golduck. The thought of that ridiculous weakling actually being useful for something made Primeape want to laugh scornfully, but there was no time for that now. He focused his energy into his foot, then smacked Hariyama with a Mega Kick, knocking the larger Pokémon back.
"Hm! So you knew you can use Mega Kick while grounded," Koichi acknowledged. "You sacrificed some of the power for a better chance to strike. Unfortunately, you fell right into our trap. Hariyama, REVERSAL!"
An explosion of golden energy burst from within Hariyama, then condensed into his left palm. Primeape braced himself for the imminent attack and raised his fists to block, but it didn't matter. Shouting fiercely, Hariyama speedily thrust his palm into Primeape's fists. The golden energy shot out, sending Primeape careening away.
"HARI!"
"PRIMEAPE!"
Seconds later, Primeape fell to the ground, utterly defeated.
"Battle over!" Bruno shouted. "Master Koichi and Hariyama WIN!"
Many of the Pokémon and Trainers burst into cheers and applause.
"Wow, Master Koichi really beat Primeape!"
"That battle was great! Both sides gave it all they had!"
Primeape was initially sad that he had been defeated, but hearing the cheers of the crowd filled him with awe. Somehow, it felt okay to have lost for once.
Koichi walked over and extended his hand to the furry Fighting-type.
"You fought well, furry one! Not only did you sufficiently test us, you also didn't give in to anger. You have grown much in the short time you've been here. Hariyama and I would be glad to battle you again when you have gained more strength and wisdom!"
"Hari, yama!" Hariyama agreed.
Primeape stared at them, then nodded and accepted Koichi's handshake.
"Wow, the furry guy actually earned Master Koichi's respect! That's not easy to do, that's for sure," Zachary said.
"Timburr!" said Timburr. The Muscular Pokémon was now interested in battling Primeape himself.
"Mhm," was all Brayden could say.
Vileplume looked up at Brayden and could tell he wasn't feeling like his usual self. He vaguely looked the way he had when they were staying at Lavender Town, smiling at times, but nowhere close to happy.
"Vile…?" she asked in a worried tone.
Wartortle was thinking the same thing, but instead of sadness, he felt anger. The Turtle Pokémon couldn't stand to see Brayden like this. It reminded him of his own personal failure back in the Rock Tunnel. If he had just been stronger then, things might not have gone the way they did…
"So, we finally meet again, Brayden."
Brayden snapped out of his melancholy when he heard that voice.
"Bruce!"
The Kicking Master cast a smile his way before turning his attention to Zachary.
"Late again, I see. You must be more diligent if you're to become a Fighting-type master."
"I know, I know! You're right, I'm sorry. I overslept. Timburr had to wake me with Wake-Up Slap, and then I bumped into Brayden's Wartortle by accident while running here," Zachary explained.
"Zachary invited me to come watch the match, so I followed him,"Brayden said to Bruce. "Anyway, how have you and Jackie been since Trace and I left you?"
"Well, after we ended our feud, we came back together and told the Master all about you two. He was very pleased that we had finally heeded his advice and put our training to good use. I humbly thank you for making this all possible!" Bruce said as he bowed respectfully to Brayden.
"Heh. Well, you guys did me a Trace a big favor. I'm just glad we could help," Brayden said modestly. "But… I'm not worthy of your thanks."
Brayden looked away. He had just remembered the thing that he had promised Bruce he would do…
"Brayden? Is something wrong?" Bruce asked. He had a sinking feeling that Bruno may have been right.
"You… asked me to keep careful watch on Mankey. Keep him focused on growing stronger the right way, but…"
Brayden trembled in agony as he once again recalled that horrible day in the Rock Tunnel.
"I failed. I got angry with him and he stopped listening to me. I made him fight against a horrible elite member of Team Rocket and pushed him too far. Mankey evolved, but he attacked me in a scary enraged state, and he abandoned me to chase after Team Rocket alone…"
At last, Bruce understood what happened. This was the reason Primeape had wandered into the city, all alone. This was why he had been so afraid to use Outrage, why he was so ashamed after lashing out during his battle with Bruno.
What to do… the Fighting expert wondered. Should I tell him?
Bruce was concerned that if told Brayden now, it might cause an outburst. The last thing anyone wanted was for Primeape to run amok again.
Be that as it may, he has a right to know.
Bruce sighed deeply. He had to break the news to Brayden as gently as he could.
"Brayden, I must tell you something important."
The young Trainer looked back at Bruce, who placed his hands on Brayden's shoulders.
"I believe that Primeape is yours."
"Wh… what?! How can you be sure?!"
"Master Bruno found him outside Saffron Gym when he arrived here last week. Primeape requested a battle with him. I had my suspicions when I saw him use the Rock Tomb/Mega Kick strategy, and when I saw him get so angry, I knew I was right. Not only that, but Primeape seemed to already know who I am."
Zachary felt compelled to speak as well.
"I think Master Bruce is right, Brayden. I mean, Primeape has clearly shown that he's stronger and wiser than just about any wild Pokémon around here. He must be very well trained. Anyway, isn't it good that you've found your Primeape? You can reunite and continue on your journey together!"
"Yeah, but…"
Brayden felt some odd mixture of horror and joy. He was undoubtedly relieved to see his friend after all this time. He truly wanted more than anything to fix things with his furry friend. But he could never forget how that same friend had also harmed him and ran off like their bond had been nothing.
"What if Primeape doesn't want to be with me anymore? Even if he's too ashamed to use Outrage, why didn't he come look for us?" Brayden asked. "Maybe I should just leave him here. He seems happy now anyway…"
Brayden turned to leave, but Vileplume grabbed him by the leg.
"Vi vi!"
"I don't want to leave without saying anything, Vileplume, but I've caused him enough pain…"
"Brayden, your Wartortle is running over to Primeape!" Zachary shouted. "He looks furious!"
"WHAT?!" Brayden yelled fearfully. "Wartortle, come back!"
But Wartortle would not listen. A great amount of frustration with both Primeape and Brayden drove him towards his old friend. He refused to let Primeape walk away from their vow to help Brayden win the league, and he refused to let his Trainer give up on Primeape!
"War TORTLE!" the Turtle Pokémon shouted at Primeape.
Primeape froze. That couldn't be who it sounded like.
Jerking his large head around, he spotted Wartortle rushing up to him.
("Why did you run off on us, Primeape?!)" Wartortle furiously asked Primeape. ("Do you have any idea how worried we've been?! How much you hurt Brayden?!")
Primeape said nothing. Panic began to overtake him. If Wartortle was here, then that had to mean…
Primeape looked back towards the door that lead back into the dojo, and immediately felt his heart shatter.
Standing there, next to Bruce, was Brayden and the other four Pokémon.
"Prime?"
"Primeape…" Brayden said, anguished.
In an instant, everyone there noticed what was happening.
"That must be Brayden," Koichi said to himself. "But why do he and Primeape look so uneasy to see each other again?"
Bruno simply looked on. He placed a hand on Machamp's Poké Ball, just in case something unexpected happened.
Neither Brayden nor Primeape moved. It was like their past trauma was weighing down their feet to the point that basic movement was impossible.
"Brayden, go to your friend," Bruce urged as gently as he could.
"I know it's none of my business, but neither of you will get better if you leave things as they are," Zachary pointed out. "You have to talk it out."
Brayden looked around at Pidgeotto, Butterfree, Electrode and Wartortle, who all nodded slowly, but encouraging at him. Vileplume looked up at smiled at him.
With difficulty, Brayden managed to start walking over to the battlefield. But as he got closer, Primeape cried out.
"PRIME!"
The Pig Monkey Pokémon sped off back inside the building so quickly that even Electrode was astonished.
"NO! Primeape, come back, PLEASE!" Brayden shrieked as he dashed after the frenzied simian, with the rest of his Pokémon trailing right behind him.
"Primeape, what are you doing?!" Bruce wondered. "Master Koichi, Master Bruno, we cannot allow the furry one to leave! Come, Hitmonlee!"
"Hitmonlee!"
The two of them followed after Brayden as Koichi and Bruno ran over.
"I'll guard the front entrance from the outside," Bruno said. You stay out here in case Primeape tries to sneak back out this way."
"Consider it done!" Koichi replied.
"I'll help Brayden and Master Bruce search the inside!" Zachary said. "Let's go, Timburr!"
"Burr! Burr!"
Brayden's heart pounded madly as he frantically searched the rooms for Primeape.
Primeape, why?! Why are you avoiding me even after we found each other again?!
Without warning, Wartortle came to a stop and faced his teammates.
("Hold on, guys. We'll cover more of the place at once if we split up! Let's move!"
The three humans and seven Pokémon scoured the dojo for any sign of the wild Fighting-type for several minutes, until eventually they met back up in Koichi's personal chambers.
"Any sign of Primeape? At all?" Zachary asked, gasping for breath.
Bruce grit his teeth and shook his head.
"I hate to say it, but the furry one just might have slipped out and into the city. Curses! I'm so sorry, Brayden!"
"No… this can't be happening again…" Brayden said as he fell to his knees, tears streaming from his eyes.
"It's all my fault. I was too hard on him. I drove him away because I wouldn't try to understand him. I NEVER should've forced him to fight Loki's Machamp! I shouldn't have pressured him to use Rage under such awful conditions!"
Brayden balled up his hands into fists and threw his head back in despair.
"PRIMEAPE, IF YOU WANT TO STAY HERE, I UNDERSTAND, BUT PLEASE, FORGIVE ME! ….I… I want my friend back…."
As Brayden wept, Wartortle, Vileplume, Pidgeotto, and Butterfree hugged him tightly. Electrode, lacking any limbs to hug with, simply huddled up as close to his Trainer as he could without accidentally shocking him.
Bruce, Hitmonlee, Zachary and Timburr watched in silence, helpless to do anything but silently pity Brayden.
After what seemed like an eternity, another sobbing voice was heard.
"P-P-Prime a-a-ape…"
Everyone looked up, and to their shock, Primeape stepped out from behind Koichi's bed, streams of tears falling from his own eyes.
"Primeape…?" Brayden said in disbelief.
Primeape walked slowly over to his dear friends. All this time, he thought Brayden and the others would be angry with him for what he had done, but now he knew that he had been wrong all along. They just wanted him to come back to them.
And that was exactly what Primeape had wanted all this time. To be accepted in spite of his anger problems. Before meeting Brayden, he decided that he would be admired if he gained the strength to defeat the strongest Pokémon in the world.
But after getting to know Brayden and his Pokémon, after fighting against Brock's Geodude, surviving the onslaught of Zubat in Mount Moon, and sharing in the pain of losing to Blue, he had realized that having real friends wasn't so bad after all. And having been apart from them this whole time because he had mindlessly pursued power, he knew that it wasn't what truly mattered anymore. It was his friends.
"Prime….APE!"
Sobbing hysterically, Primeape threw himself into Brayden and hugged him even more tightly than the others.
"Primeape… so you weren't avoiding me because you hated me, it was because you were afraid that we wouldn't forgive you…?"
"Prime, Prime, Prime!" the distraught simian apologized profusely.
"Oh, Primeape… how could we ever do that after all we've been through together? Even out of control, you beat Loki's Machamp. You saved us and put a stop to Team Rocket's mining operation! It just hurt us to see you run off like that, that's all. It's going to be okay from now on!"
Brayden returned Primeape's embrace, and the other Pokémon moved over to welcome back their friend at last.
Zachary breathed a sigh of relief and stepped out of the room with Timburr.
As Bruce followed suit, he smiled, glad that his efforts to reunite Primeape with his Trainer had paid off.
Several minutes later, still inside Koichi's room…
"Thank you so much for looking after Primeape for me!" Brayden said gratefully to Bruce and Koichi.
"You helped my brother and I repair own relationship. It's the least I could do," Bruce replied.
"The furry one certainly made things more interesting around here! We were glad to have him!" Koichi said, lightly chuckling. "So then, you six off to challenge the Gym?"
"For sure!" Brayden said. "That's actually what we were about to do before Zachary invited us over. Boy, are we glad we made this detour!"
"Brayden, Zachary told me earlier that you expressed interest in knowing why Master Bruno is here," Bruce said.
"Oh, yeah. I am curious about that, actually," Brayden admitted.
"Due to the services you and Primeape have done for us, we feel you have the right to know," Koichi explained.
Before Koichi could say anything else, however, Bruno entered the room.
"The Master's requests for me were two-fold," the muscular man stated. "First, succeed him as Master of the dojo, and second, defend the dojo's honor by defeating the one who stripped him of his Gym Leader status: Sabrina, Mistress of Psychic-type Pokémon."
"Bruno, please! You are the one best suited for these tasks!" Koichi insisted.
"Master, my duty is to the League now. My days at this dojo are long over," Bruno said flatly. "And I refuse to battle a Gym Leader for the sake of petty revenge. Didn't you teach me to shun such emotions? You really ought to know better, old man…"
Koichi hung his head in shame.
"Master Bruno! How can you speak that way to Master Koichi?! Revenge is but a small part of it. That witch has driven people away from our dojo! Many Trainers only think of her when they think of battling in Saffron City. And it's all because she defeated him so easily!"
"I've battled Sabrina before," Brayden said. "She's so convinced that nobody can beat her! I can't stand it! SOMEONE has to put her in her place and show her what it really means to be a Gym Leader!"
"And I agree," Bruno replied. "But I cannot be the one to do that. She would brush off a loss to me because I have more experience. Therefore, I believe that you should be the one to fight her on the dojo's behalf, Brayden."
Bruno's words caught both Brayden off-guard completely.
"What? Me… fight for the dojo? But… I don't even train here!"
"You can, if you'd like," Koichi told him. "Primeape already has for weeks. Besides, the furry one has not yet learned to master Outrage. With you here, he just might be able to pull it off. What do you say?"
"It's up to you, Brayden. Fight Sabrina now, or stay here for a while to strengthen yourself and your Pokémon," Bruce said.
Brayden thought about it for a moment, but seeing Primeape and the others eager to accept the offer, he knew his answer already.
"All right, Master Koichi. Teach us your ways!"
At long last, Brayden has reunited with Primeape and mended their broken bond! With his team complete once more, Brayden begins training at the Fighting Dojo for his rematch with Sabrina. Will Primeape finally learn how to control Outrage? And how will Trace fare on his quest to earn more badges without Brayden? Be on the lookout for Chapter 36!
