A/N: Hello fellow followers readers supernatural fans and hunters. As always all the appreciation and thanks goes to my lovely awesome and amazing followers and readers. Sorry for the late posting. Friday was a bit busy. Unfortunately this is the last chapter of this part. But the journey is far from over. I have started on part 4. Enlightenment in I have tons of ideas for later episodes and seasons. I'm actually considering skipping a few episodes though. For the simple fact that they seem a bit difficult to write. But I decide when I get there. I hope you enjoyed this part. I love you all. And I shall have the nets part out as soon as I can.
Carry on wayward supernatural fans. On the road so far.
As they exited the farmhouse, both wince at their recent injuries, the night sky was Being lit by the blooming day. Sam's left arm was wrapped in a bandage, at their sisters Insistence. Lulana was after all a ER nurse, so she knew a thing or two about how to take care of injuries. Dean stopped, setting himself on his feet like a boxer. It was something he decided the moment they walked out of the house, something he felt he deserved. "Sam?" He asked, gestering with his hands towards his face. "Clock me one."
"What?" Sam asked as Lulana rolled her eyes and giving him a disapproval look that spoke volumes as the both of them halted in their steps.
"Come on. I won't even hit you back. Let's go."
"No." Sam said, sounding incredulous, If not slightly amused.
"You men are pathetic." She said, rolling her eyes With obvious disdain.
Dean chose to ignore his sister's comment. "Let's go, you get a freebie. Hit me, come on."
"You look like you just went twelve rounds with a block of cement, Dean. I'll take a raincheck."
"I wish we never took this job. It's fucked everything up." Dean grumbled as the three of them walked to the waited impala.
"What do you mean?" Lulana asked as Sam frowned.
"Think about all the hunts we went on, me and Sam, Lula, our whole lives." How many innocents did they kill just because they thought that they were monsters? How many innocent people had they killed? It was horrible to think about.
"Okay." Sam nodded as Lulana leaned against the car, looking out at the farm house that they had just left.
"What if we killed things that didn't deserve killing? You know? I mean, the way Dad raised us..."
"Dean, after what happened to Mom, Dad did the best he could." Sam said, Sounding slightly hesitant.
"I know he did." Dean sighed. "But the man wasn't perfect. And the way he raised us, to hate those things; and man, I hate 'em. I do. When I killed that vampire at the mill I didn't even think about it; hell, I even enjoyed it.
"You didn't kill Lenore." Lulana reminded with a smile. "You could have. You could have let that psycho kill her or you could've done it yourself. But you didn't. And that should tell you a lot about yourself that you didn't kill Lenore."
"No, but every instinct told me to. I was gonna kill her. I was gonna kill 'em all."
"Oh god, Dean. You're not a killer. At least not where I'm concerned. And you're definitely not a bad guy. But this shows us that not every monster is a monster. There are some good ones out there, we just need to make sure that the ones that we hunt are monsters."
"Yeah, Dean, but you didn't. And that's what matters." Sam said.
"Yeah. Well, 'cause you're a pain in my ass." Dean said.
"Guess I might have to stick around to be a pain in the ass, then." Sam said as Lulana laughed.
"Yeah. You both do." Dean said, more to his sister than his brother. "Thanks."
"Don't mention it." Sam said as Lulana smiled and nodded.
Sam slipped in the passenger's side as Lulana got into the back; Dean stared off into the distance for a moment before climbing in. Dean set there a moment, drumming his thumbs on the stealing wheel. He said some horrible things to his sister, some of the things that he said he didn't mean. He knew the right thing was to apologize, and yet, he couldn't.
"Hey princess." Dean said, turning slightly to look in the back seat. "About what I said?"
Lulana raised an eyebrow as she leaned back in the seat, folding her arms. "Yeah? What about it?"
"I - you know." He saw his brother from the corner of his eye give him a mused look. Why was apologizing so damn difficult? He had half of a mind to forget about it. What she said back there, couldn't be farther from the truth. Sam and Lulana was the only family he had. And he will fight to keep them. But the thought of why their father kept his sister a secret raid heavily on him as much as the information of what John decided to leave him with about Sam and that he may have to kill him. Why was Lulana kept a secret? Why?
"Use your words brother dear." She smirked mischievously.
"Oh. Whatever." He grumbled as he turned back round in his seat, starting the car. He smiled a little as he drove to wherever the road took them.
