Chapter: Eight

Smiling, Delia and Professor Oak introduced their son to the Pokémon at his lab's fields. Delia watched as an Eevee came running up to them. "Ash, sweetie, this is an Eevee, a friendly Normal type Pokémon and very popular. This cutie belongs to a trainer; however, Eevee often loves to help out if some Pokémon are upset" Delia explained as she knelt down to show their son the Eevee that had walked up to them. Ash stretched his hands out wanting to reach the Pokémon, to feel it. Delia smiled and gently put him near Eevee, holding him as she did.

"Now Ash, this is how you gently pat an Eevee" Delia said, demonstrating it to him, as she knelt down with him. The Pokémon happily walked up to Delia who gently patted the Eeevee's head then stroked the back gently. "Now you try, Ash" she said, helping him learn how to pat the Pokémon. Professor Oak smiled and watched on as Delia helped their son pat Eevee, who seemed to enjoy the attention, he knelt down by their side and patted the Eevee too. The Eeevee's fur felt very soft.

"His trainer wanted to take a fresh start after completing the Pokémon League in Kanto, so he chose to leave his Pokémon behind and start fresh with a starter Pokémon from the Johto region where he is travelling now. Sometimes he asks how Eevee is going" Professor Oak explained to Ash.

Ash gently patted the Eevee, with Delia's help of course. "All the Pokémon here, at the lab are friendly, Ash. When you get older, I'll show you how to train them" Professor Oak promised him. Delia then gently passed Professor Oak to Ash, to let him introduce him to the next Pokémon. After getting up, Delia and Professor Oak left the Eevee to play with another Pokémon.

"Ash, we'll introduce you to a gentle Ponyta next. This one actually doesn't belong to anyone and is currently looking for a trainer" Professor Oak said as he, Delia and Ash made their way to the Ponyta who was drinking from a lake nearby.

"She is really friendly and only young. She did have a trainer; however, her trainer decided to neglect her and leave her with me, so I've been looking after her all this time" Professor Oak explained. Delia already knew this and wished the trainer was much nicer. The Ponyta looked at Professor Oak and stayed where she was as she thirstily drank the water.

"Hello, Ponyta, how are you today? Ponyta, I want you to meet the people who are most important to me, my girlfriend, Delia and our son, Ash" Professor Oak said as he walked up to the Pokémon. Ponyta stayed and listened to Professor Oak, and patiently waited for him to go to her. Professor Oak, with Ash in his arms smiled as he finally reached her side with Delia and Ash. He then gently put his hand out to let Ponyta sniff it, then began to stroke her head with a free hand. "You look really happy today, Ponyta. How are you enjoying being with the other Pokémon?" Professor Oak said. He then gently taught Ash how to pat her.

Delia watched them in awe. How she loved watching Professor Oak with Ash. They soon left Ponyta who went to join several other Ponyta and visited other Pokémon to introduce Ash to. They soon returned to the lab as Ash began crying due to being hungry.

"Sam, you are so incredible with Ash and the Pokémon! I love watching both of you together" Delia gushed as she fed their son on the couch.

"And your wonderful with him too, Dee. I love watching you two together. You are both perfect. I think after Ash had his feed, we could give Caroline and Norman a call then try and track down your family again" Professor Oak said. "I'll try and reach out to my son; I want to introduce him to his brother" he added.

"I love you both so much, Ash and Sam. I'm looking forward to introducing Ash to everyone, he is our little pumpkin" Delia said smiling to Professor Oak who sat down next to her.

"I love you both so much, Dee and Ash and yes, me too" Professor Oak said, smiling back to her. Soon after Delia had fed and burped Ash, Professor Oak got up and went to the video phone with Delia and Ash (Ash being in Delia's arms).

Professor Oak dialed Caroline and Norman's number and waited for them to answer. Much to Delia's delight it didn't take long for Norman to answer the call.

"Hello Dee and Professor Oak! It's great to hear from you again!" Norman said with a smile.

"Great to hear you too, Norman! How have you and Caroline been?" Delia asked in excitement.

"We've been great, Dee! We've became parents a week ago to a beautiful baby girl. Caroline's with our daughter at the moment, I'll go and get them and be right back!" Norman answered then moved away from the screen for a moment, he came back with Caroline who held their baby daughter in her arms and a smile.

"Dee and Sam! Been a while, so good to see you both again. Norm and I want to introduce you to our beautiful little girl, May. She was born a week ago" Caroline gushed as she showed her to Professor Oak and Delia on the video screen.

"Caroline and Norman, May is such a cutie pie, she looks like the both of you!" Delia gushed, wishing she could meet May in person. Caroline and Norman blushed.

"Thank you, Dee. We're very proud of her" Caroline said, smiling as she and Norman looked lovingly at their baby girl.

"I want to introduce you to our baby boy, Ash" Delia said, smiling as she showed Caroline and Norman their son.

"Aww, he is so perfect, Dee! Dee and Sam! Congratulations to you both!" Caroline gushed excitedly looking at Ash. "I think he and May would make great friends" she added, smiling to them.

The two couples took turns chatting away catching up with one another, prompting Professor Oak to think of another holiday plan for him and Delia after they had finished talking to them.

"Dee, I think we should go to the Hoenn Region for a holiday and visit Caroline, Norman and their daughter, May. We have plenty of time before the Professor Oak Summer Camp starts, what do you think?" Professor Oak suggested as Delia gave Ash to him to hold for a while.

Delia smiled and kissed him. "I think that's a wonderful idea, Sam! I'd love to see them again and their daughter, May. Where would we stay though? I don't know a lot about Hoenn" she said excitedly. "Ash would love that too! It'd be his first holiday" she added, smiling as she looked at their son who yawned. "I think it's time for Ash's nap" she said looking at him, watching as he yawned.

"I'll ask Caroline and Norman if there's hotels in Petalburge City or nearby. Mhm, I'll go and put him in his cot for his nap" Professor Oak said then kissed Delia's forehead. The couple went up to Ash's room to tuck him in for his morning nap then left when Ash fell asleep.

"He's so perfect" Delia gushed. "Just like his father" she added, blushing as she looked at Professor Oak.

Professor Oak smiled and kissed her. "Love you, Dee. Shall we go and reach out to your parents or wait until Ash wakes up and in the meantime design Professor Oak's Summer Camp?" he asked.

"Love you too, Sam. I think we'll wait until Ash wakes up so we can introduce him to them and for now, we could design how Professor Oak's Summer Camp" Delia said smiling after giving him a kiss.

The couple then walked downstairs and into the lounge room, Delia went to get a notepad and pen to draw/write with. They then sat down on a couch together and began planning the summer camp.

"Sam, how many cabins would it need and beds?" Delia asked, eager to write and draw it.

"I think about five cabins for a start. One can be the cafeteria, another can be staff cabin and the rest can be for the children to stay in of course there'd be a staff member in the room to help look after them. As to beds... That's a good question, how many children should we have attending the summer camp?" Professor Oak said.

The couple talked about the camp for at least an hour and a half then they heard Ash crying and raced upstairs smiling to see their son awake in his cot. Professor Oak picked him up in his arms. "Hello pumpkin, did you have a nice sleep?" he asked lovingly giving his son a hug as he looked at Delia then back at Ash. Ash cried in answer, smiling Delia knew at once what was wrong. He was hungry.

"I think he would've had a nice nap. Someone's hungry, after feeding him and changing him I'll give my parents a call and introduce him to them" Delia said, Professor Oak gently passed him to her.

Professor Oak smiled and nodded. The three went downstairs, Delia sat on the couch to feed Ash, and Professor Oak made some lunch knowing they'd be hungry. After feeding Ash and having lunch themselves, the couple went to the video phone with Ash and called Delia's parents. Professor Oak had managed to find where they were at the moment, after they won the Kanto League, they made their way to Johto and were now in Cherrygrove City.

"Hi honey! How are you?" Sally exclaimed excitedly after answering the video phone from the Pokémon Center.

"We're doing well, mum! How about you? We wanted to introduce you to our son" Delia said smiling as she proudly held Ash in her arms, showing her mother hers and Professor Oak's son. Professor Oak smiled and put his arm around Delia then kissed her.

"Aww, honey he is so cute! He looks like the both of you" Sally excitedly said. "What did you name him?"

"We called him Ash. Ash Ketchum" Delia answered smiling proudly. "Thank you, mum! How are you going with your journey?"

"Oh honey, Ash is so sweet. I can't wait to meet him someday. We're in Cherrygrove City and the Johto Region is incredible. Honestly, there are new Pokémon we haven't even seen before!" Sally gushed. "Robert, Ben, Rick and Jason, come here, Delia and Sam want to introduce you to someone!" Sally said calling her family over. Moments later, the others were introduced to Ash, all of them gushed at how cute he is. After talking to them for a while, Delia and Professor Oak bid them goodbye, then it was time to call Professor Oak's son.

Moments later, Professor Oak's son answered the phone.

"Dad? Long time no see, how've you been?" his son asked in delight seeing his father. "Actually, I was thinking about calling you because there's someone, I want to introduce you to!"

"I've been doing great thanks Tim. Hm. Who might that be? I also have someone I'd love to introduce you too as well" Professor Oak answered smiling to his son now known as Tim.

Tim smiled. "I'll be right back!" he said and ran off for a moment.

During that time, Delia gave Ash to Professor Oak to hold and kissed him. "You can tell him about us, Sam if you want!" she said smiling to him. Professor Oak nodded.

Moments later, Tim returned with a woman around his age and a baby. "Hey dad, I want to introduce you to both my girlfriend, Mary, and our son, Gary. Gary was only born a few days ago" Tim said smiling as he returned with a blond-haired woman holding a baby in her arms. "Mary, this is my father, Professor Oak" Tim said smiling as he introduced them to one another.

"It's very nice to meet you, Mary and congratulations on Gary! He is gorgeous, I can't wait to meet him" Professor Oak said smiling to his son and looking at Gary.

"We're hoping to come to Pallet Town soon so we can introduce you to him properly, Dad." Tim said excitedly. Mary cradled Gary in her arms.

"I'm really looking forward to that, Tim. We have a lot of catching up to do. That reminds me, do you remember Delia?" Professor Oak said, nodding to Delia.

"Mhm! She's what's his name's daughter, right? I forgot what his name was! It's been so long; she is such a lovely lady from memory" Tim said.

Delia smiled when Tim said that.

"Delia and I are in a relationship, and we have a son together" Professor Oak said smiling to Tim as he held Ash in his arms proudly showing the baby boy.

"Aww, Dad! I didn't know I had a new brother. He's so adorable, I can't wait to meet him! Does that mean Delia would be my stepmother when you two get married? Congratulations on both the birth of Ash and your relationship" Tim gushed excitedly.

Professor Oak and Delia blushed and looked at one another then back at Tim. "Aside from Delia's family and friends we haven't told many people about us yet" Professor Oak told him, the four of them spoke for a while on the phone until Ash and Gary respectively started crying, both mothers had to attend their babies needs while their fathers chatted away for a moment longer.

"We simply must visit you in Pallet Town again, Dad. I'd love to introduce you to Gary; he and Ash would be the best of friends!" Tim said with a grin.

"I'm looking forward to it and I imagine those two will get along well" Professor Oak said with a smile. 'Though, I remember Ash telling me that he and Gary are rivals' he thought, referring to when he met Ash as a ten-year-old.

Several days later, Professor Oak and Delia got a call from Tim asking for an arrangement to meet up with them much to Professor Oak's delight. Delia had been feeding Ash when Professor Oak made the announcement. "He's going to come over next weekend with Mary and Gary" Professor Oak said excitedly. "I can't wait to see him again" he added.

"This is wonderful news, Sam! I can't wait to meet him and Mary. It'd be fun having Gary over too so he and Ash can play together" Delia gushed imagining the two boys growing up and playing together. "Where will they be staying?" she asked.

"They said they'll be staying at the motel in Pallet Town for the weekend. They can't wait to see our boy" Professor Oak said in excitement.

The week went fast and soon the weekend arrived - as promised, Tim, Mary and Gary arrived around three thirty on Friday afternoon in their car at Professor Oak's lab. Professor Oak had Ash in his arms when the doorbell rang - delighted the professor called Delia who had been busy preparing dinner in the kitchen, Delia stopped for a moment and raced to the door after washing her hands.

In her arms, Mary held Gary who had a blue pacifier in his mouth. He was dressed in a blue Snorlax onesie. "Dad, meet our son, Gary, he only just woken up from his nap so he might be a little bit grumpy" Tim gushed as Mary held Gary in his arms.

"Aww, Gary is a little cutie! May I hold him, please?" Delia gushed. "I love his onesie!"

Mary smiled at Delia's eagerness. "Sure, I'm happy to let you hold him and thank you! We have a lot of onesies for him" she said passing Gary to Delia who at once held Gary gently in her arms.

Professor Oak and Delia at once gushed over Gary. "Hi Gary, it's very nice to meet you. You look a lot like your father and have your mum's eyes" Delia gushed smiling to the baby who stayed quiet for a while as he sucked on his pacifier. His eyes looked at the people around him.

"This is your nephew, Ash" Professor Oak said smiling as he introduced their baby boy to Gary. Ash was dressed in a Pikachu Onesie. Both Mary and Delia made a fuss over both Ash and Gary, much to Tim's relief. He was glad to see both of them getting along well.

"You know, Dad, I'm surprised that you and Delia don't go out in public about your relationship, Mary and I made it official before we had Gary. You'd certainly have a lot of support" Tim said smiling to his father.

Professor Oak and Delia looked at one another when Tim said that. "The only concern we have is that we're worried that they think I might've started dating Sam as a student when that isn't true. We waited until I finished university then started dating when I turned 18" Delia explained.

Professor Oak nodded in agreement.

"Delia, I don't think you'd need to worry about that. I'm sure they won't think of it that way" Tim assured her.

"What do you think, Sam?" Delia asked - she longed to be able to hold his hand out in public like many couples do. Professor Oak felt the same way.

"If you want to, Dee we can" Professor Oak said smiling to her.

Delia smiled to his reply. "Would you both like a tour to see all the other Pokémon we have? Ash already met most of them" she asked as she gave Gary back to Mary. Professor Oak gave Ash to Delia.

"We'd love to see it, Delia. I'd like to see how much has changed since I was a kid" Tim said smiling to her.

"A lot has changed, Tim. I think you'd be impressed" Professor Oak said to his son as the six walked out, the mothers held their babies and walked together, talking excitedly about the future.

"A Pokémon Summer Camp? That sounds exciting, I'll send Gary there when he's older" Mary gushed imagining Ash and Gary playing together at the Pokémon Summer Camp. Delia had just told Mary about, which prompted Professor Oak to tell Tim.

"Need a hand with it, Dad?" Tim asked wanting to help out with the camp. "I could cook or perhaps help look after the little ones" he said smiling to him.

"We could do with more cooks, I don't think one would be enough, right Dee?" Professor Oak said, not wanting to overload her with work.

"The more the better" Delia said smiling. "In fact, Sam and I were both looking to find more people to help out" she added.

"How many do you need?" Mary asked interested in helping. "I could make beds if kids aren't old enough to do that."

"Hm. Since there'd be a lot of kids, I'd say between 10-20 adults? That could do a lot of activities too" Professor Oak suggested knowing his camp would be a great success. "So far I have the four of us as interests, but I can easily round up the rest of them."

"What activities would the kids be doing?" Tim asked in excitement wishing he was young again to do the camp.

"All sorts of activities, like finding certain Pokémon, learning how to approach Pokémon in the wild since they'd need to learn that growing up, fishing and much more" Professor Oak said not wanting to reveal all his activities. He and Delia came up with an endless list the night before.

"I wish I were young again; I'd love to go there as a kid" Mary commented looking at Gary who was beginning to get restless. She gave Gary to Tim and looked at the Pokémon in the lab's yard. After the tour, Professor Oak, Delia, Tim and Mary went inside the lab again with Ash and Gary - both babies were tired and wanted a nap, Delia went to tuck Ash in his cot while Mary and Tim decided it was time to head back to the motel - which they did after bidding goodbye to Delia and Professor Oak.

All that was five years ago...

Ash is now five years old and lives with his mum who is still in a relationship with Professor Oak. The couple were now outside of Delia's home with Ash helping Delia with the gardening. The weather was sunny and several wild Pidgies were out in the garden, scratching at the ground and pecking at food they might find. Ash was dressed in a pair of blue trousers, a red shirt with a Pikachu on it and a pair of sandals. He also wore a hat.

"Mummy what about this one?" Ash asked looking at a Pecha Berry Tree. "Are these ripe yet?"

"That one's not ripe but this one is, Ash" Delia said showing him what the ripe ones look like. "They are very sweet and make delicious drinks"

"Your mother makes great Pecha Berry Smoothies" Professor Oak commented remembering when Delia started making them.

"Could I please have some, Daddy?" Ash asked turning to Professor Oak in excitement. He loved smoothies.

"Of course. We'll make you some today since there's a good bunch of Pecha Berries to pick" Professor Oak answered smiling to him. The family of three had finished their garden work in an hour's time and Delia managed to get around twenty Pecha Berries which she was looking forward to turning them into smoothies.

"It won't be long before we head to camp again, Ash" Delia reminded their son who looked at her in excitement. He had been going since he was a baby and loved it.

"Will Gary, May and Max be there?" Ash asked in excitement. He had met them through the camp though saw Gary more than the other two as they lived in another region.

"Yes. Norman and Caroline confirmed they'll be bringing May and Max though Max would be a bit too young to join in the fun" Delia said smiling to Ash. "Norman and Caroline said they want to help out which is great!"

Professor Oak smiled at the thought of going back to camp - he loved hosting it and entertaining the children. He also had an extra surprise for Delia towards the end of it - he planned to pop the question when the couple had the chance to be alone together.

Two weeks later, Ash was at the Summer Camp with Delia and Professor Oak. He excitedly played with his friends, May and Max and nephew, Gary.
It was sometime in the afternoon when the children had to find certain Pokémon as an activity. A new girl named Serena got lost as she looked for the Pokémon she needed to find and managed to fall over and hurt herself. She cried in fright and pain unaware that Ash was nearby. Ash heard a girl cry and knew that wasn't May which prompt him to find out who it belonged to. He walked through the bushes and saw a girl with honey blonde hair and blue eyes who appeared to be crying.

"What are you doing out here?" Ash gently asked. "My name's Ash, what's wrong, are you hurt?"

The little girl looked surprised as she looked at him with teary eyes from crying. "I hurt... my knee" she answered crying as she showed him.

"Oh no, here, this will help" Ash said as he took out a hanky chief from his pocket. He remembered Professor Oak and his mum showing him what to do if he or someone themselves and wanted to help her feel better. He gently wrapped the cloth around her sore knee.

"There, its magic, all the pain will go away" Ash said as he made his hands dance above the knee, remembering his parents doing that to him when he had hurt his in the past.

"It still hurts so much," the girl said as she cried.

"Never give up until the very end" Ash said as he held his hand out to her. "Come on," he added, watching as she held her hand out to him. He gently pulled her up and held her in his arms for a moment. He then let her go and held her hand for support. "Why don't we go back to the camp site?" he then walked with her and talked to her about the camp on the way.

"Have you been enjoying the camp?" Ash asked in excitement hoping his new friend has.

"Umm not really" the girl answered after Ash took her back to the campground. "You see, it's my first time away from my mummy and I miss her" she added sadly.

"Aw, how come you're not enjoying it? It's fun! I understand - if my mummy and daddy weren't working for the camp, I'd miss them too" Ash said wondering what his parents would be doing.

"You're lucky! I haven't made any friends yet... and the Pokémon are scary" the girl commented.

"I'll introduce you to my friends, Gary, May and Max! Pokémon aren't scary, they're really cool! I want to get a Pikachu as my starter when I'm older" Ash said in excitement.

The girl giggled. "You can't get a Pikachu in Kanto silly! You can only get Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle" she said smiling to him.

"Oh yeah! I forgot" Ash said nervously rubbing the back of his head. "Come on, I'll take you to my mum, she'll know what to do" he added then found Delia in one of the cabins making the beds for the children.

"Hi Honey! Aw I see you made friends with Serena. She's new to the camp" Delia said as she finished making a bed.

"Hi Mummy and yes. Though she hurt herself" Ash explained. Serena then told her what happened.

"Aw, sweetie. I know what it's like. I'll let your mother know you hurt yourself, but I promise we'll ensure that you have fun! Camp finishes in a few days' time" Delia said. "Thank you, Ash for helping her" Delia hugged her son and watched him smile.

"Serena, was it? You'll be okay! My mummy will look after you!" Ash said giving her thumbs up. "I'm going to go and find that Pokémon for d- I mean Professor Oak, I'll see you later, mummy!" Ash said smiling to Delia after returning her hug. "See you soon, Serena!"

That was now five years ago... Two years later:
Ash was now seven years old and growing tall - Delia and Professor Oak have been together for about eight years and the family of three were dining at a restaurant in Pallet Town. Word got around that the couple were dating, and Professor Oak recently confirmed their relationship after discussing it with Delia and fans delightedly squealed about the news, begging for autographs and pictures when he announced it, some fans were sour against it due to their age gap and thought that Delia was a gold digger.

Today was meant to be a special one for Professor Oak as he had planned to ask Delia to marry him, and he wanted Ash to be with him to witness his proposal. After they had their dinner at the restaurant, Professor Oak, Delia and Ash made their way to the carnival that was in Pallet Town, it was a small one but there was going to be fireworks that night. The family were dressed in their best clothes - both Ash and Professor Oak were in tuxedos with matching black shoes, Ash carried a Pikachu plushie with him wherever he went. Delia was dressed in an icy blue sundress which had flowers along the hem and a pair of icy blue sandals.

"Wow, it's busy here" Delia commented as she held Professor Oak and Ash's hands. The three were now at the carnival entrance after enjoying a meal.

"Do we really have to wait this long mum? Waiting is boring!" Ash asked complaining about the line of people - there were at least fifty ahead of them.

"It's important to be patient, Ash and yes, we do need to wait for our turn" Professor Oak answered for Delia who was about to say the same thing.

"Just what your father said, Ash. It'll be worth it, I promise. We can go on all the rides and play in the side-shows; your friends will also be here" Delia gushed smiling as she looked at their son.

"May and Max?" Ash asked in excitement.

"Yes. Caroline and Norman will be here too" Professor Oak said smiling at the thought of seeing the gym leader and his wife again.

"We went to their wedding a few years ago didn't we, dad?" Ash said remembering helping Max be the ring boy.

"Yes. Both you and Max were so adorable as ring boys! May was so lovely as a flower girl" Delia commented remembering the event.

"The wedding was such a beautiful event" Professor Oak commented wanting his and Delia's future one to be perfect.

"You were really cute as the best man, Sam but you are still cute too" Delia gushed looking at her boyfriend, stealing a kiss from his lips, much to Ash's disgust. Ash loved both his parents but thought kissing was gross and looked away when his parents did it.

"Ugh that's gross right Pikachu?" Ash said talking to his Pikachu plushie.

Professor Oak chuckled. "You'll change your mind when your older, Ash" he said smiling to his son. "Ah good it's almost our turn" he said noticing that they were getting closer to the entrance.

"I hope not" Ash said disgusted at the idea of kissing someone. "I want to be a Pokémon Master when I grow up and win all the badges and Pokémon League" he said with determination imagining himself winning the Pokémon League.

"You'll be a wonderful Pokémon Master, honey" Delia said smiling to her son watching as Professor Oak paid their entrance fee and signed autographs for the fans at the entrance. Moments later, the family were now in the carnival gates greeted by their best friends who were waiting at the entry.

"Dee, Sam and Ash! We're over here" Norman called out to the three. Norman, Caroline, Max and May were waiting for the three just outside the entrance. May held a Torchic Plushie in her arms while Max had a Ralts and was in Norman's arms.

"Yay you're here!" May cried out in excitement, running over to Ash and giving him a hug. Ash smiled and returned the hug.

"Good to see you again, guys! Been a while" Ash said smiling to his friends, Max got down from Norman's arms and ran to hug Ash too, who happily returned his hug. After Delia hugged both Caroline and Norman the four adults started planning what rides to go on.

"Is Ralts a starter Pokémon in Hoenn, Max?" Ash asked after Max introduced Ralts to him.

"No silly! The starter Pokémon are: Torchic, Mudkip and Treecko, Ralts is just a Physic Pokémon" Max said straightening his glasses and looking at Ash proudly. "I learned all this from dad" he added.

"Oh, I see! Then May, you must really want a Torchic, right?" Ash said figuring that's the reason why she's holding the plushie.

"To be honest, Ash... I'm scared of Pokémon" May said nervously.

"Wha? Really? How come, May?" Ash asked in surprise, before she could answer Caroline spoke.

"Kids, what ride would you like to go on first?" Caroline asked smiling as she looked at the three children.

"Uh, the Rollercoaster?" Ash said daringly imagining himself riding it.

"You mean the kid one right, Ash? You'd be a bit too young for the adult one" Professor Oak commented.

"But the kid one looks boring" Ash pointed out. He wasn't wrong - it was shaped like a zero which had a bump at each end.

"How about the bumper cars?" May suggested excitedly.

"Now you're talking" Max said with a grin imagining himself running into Ash and May with the bumper cars.

"Okay, we'll see if you can go in them" Delia said smiling to Max. "There's also the Merry-Go-Round and Ferris Wheel too! Oh and the Sky Ride which stretches from one end of Pallet Town to the other" she added.

"Is that all the rides here then, mum?" Ash asked.

"No, there's a lot more around sweetheart" Delia said smiling to him. "Now let's go to the bumper cars!" the seven friends made their way to the bumper cars, which kids were allowed on much to Ash's relief. The seven chose their own coloured bumper cars: Ash had red, Max chose blue, May went with violet, Caroline chose green, Norman picked the black one and Professor Oak chose white. Ash, Max and May put their plushies in their cars with them and put the seatbelts on them before the ride started.

Moments later, the seven started bumping into one another in the cars and other ride goers too, laughing as they did. They went on other rides after such as the Haunted House - which scared May the most when a Ganger came out of nowhere and terrified her, making her run to Caroline in tears. The Sky Ride was next, and Caroline was rather anxious about the height but managed to pull through in the ride, then the Merry-Go-Round which Max enjoyed and didn't want to get off, so it took a lot of convincing from Norman to finally get him off. The last ride they went on was the Ferris Wheel, Caroline, Norman, Max and May were in one cart, while Professor Oak, Delia and Ash were in the other - the plushies were still with the kids.

"Tonight, was so much fun" Delia gushed as she looked at Professor Oak and Ash.

"I agree! I wish we can do this every night" Ash said.

Professor Oak smiled and felt his pocket to check if he had a small navy-blue box - he did much to his delight.

"Are we going home after the fireworks, dad?" Ash asked sounding a bit disappointed.

"Yes, since it's getting late and its past your bedtime" Professor Oak answered. Being seven, Ash usually went to bed around eight.

"Aww, I wanted to stay a bit longer and play at the side shows" Ash said sadly, hugging his Pikachu plushie. He then yawned, not realizing that he was tired until he did that. Delia smiled and hugged him.

"I know that feeling, sweetheart" Delia said kissing Ash's forehead. "We can come back another time, I promise!"

The Ferris Wheel started to move much to Professor Oak's delight - his plan was starting to work. It went around at least twice until their cart stopped at the top for the third time.

"Huh, what's going on?" Ash asked confused.

Professor Oak smiled. "You'll see shortly, Ash, just look over at the sky" he said. Just as he said that fireworks began to burst into the sky, shaped as many different kinds of Pokémon. Professor Oak got up from his seat, making Delia look at him in confusion, Ash watched his father wondering what on earth he was going to do next. Professor Oak knelt down when they showed the Butterfree fireworks display which looked absolutely beautiful, smiling, the professor felt his pocket again and pulled out a small navy-blue box, opening it and revealing a heart shaped engagement ring which he showed to Delia. "Delia, you are my everything and I want to spend the rest of my life with both you and Ash. I love you endlessly and can't imagine life without you both by myside. Delia, will you marry me?" the professor asked, feeling nervous as he did, expecting a rejection, but instead, Delia flung her arms around him.

Ash watched his parents in interest as he hugged his Pikachu plushie.

"Oh Sam! Yes, I will marry you! I want you to be by our side forever" Delia gushed. "I love you so much" she said smiling to him as the fireworks went off in the background - some were plain shaped ones like hearts or just ordinary ones. Professor Oak smiled and took the ring out of the box and put it on Delia's engagement finger - which fit her perfectly much to his relief. Smiling as the grand finale went off - Delia pressed her lips against Professor Oak's and pulled him into a kiss, Professor Oak returned her kiss, deepening it.

'Ugh! Gross' Ash thought then turned his attention to the fireworks while his parents were sharing a kiss. When they stopped Ash turned his attention to his parents and smiled. "Congratulations, Mum and Dad" he said smiling to them as he hugged his parents.

"Thank you, Ash" Professor Oak said letting go of Delia for a moment to hug their son. "You both mean the world to me" he added smiling.

Days later, word soon got out that Professor Oak and Delia were engaged - fans were stoked for the news some however, had mixed feelings about it. However, that didn't stop the three loving one another. They planned their wedding with the help of Caroline and Norman - which they set the date for a year after Ash turned eight. The wedding was to be hosted in Celadon City which had a beautiful flower garden near a water fountain. Excitement built up in Pallet Town as their wedding day got close - even Ash was looking forward to it as he got to be the ring boy. May was going to be the flower girl again while Max, Norman and Richard were to be the best men - Caroline and Sally were of course bridesmaid and Richard - Delia's father was going to walk her down the aisle.

Now was the day of the wedding and Professor Oak waited patiently at the arch for Delia to come. He was dressed in a tuxedo which had a red rose on the pocket, he looked at the crowd of people - fans, friends and family were all invited to watch the day. A limousine pulled up and Professor Oak tried his best not to look as he knew that would've been Delia and Ash coming. It was hard not to look as the wedding was an outdoor event. Professor Oak looked at the scenery around him - it was beautiful. Rows of roses and flowers on each side of the aisle along with guests sitting on the outside area of the aisle, behind him was a water fountain and the arch and of course a wedding celebrant who was ready to address the wedding. A red carpet stretched from where he was standing, many of his guests talked together in excitement. He smiled as he spotted Delia's family except her father in the crowd. Soon the wedding march was playing in the background which made many people silent.

The limousine back door opened, and an excited Delia got out of the car, with the help of the driver. Delia was dressed in a beautiful white wedding gown which had a long tail and wore a white veil, as for something blue she had a blue bouquet, smiling, she watched as her son got out of the car bringing his Pikachu plushie with him, after Ash got out, Richard, Caroline, Sally, Max and Norman followed after, all four boys were wearing tuxedos and smiling.

"I must be the luckiest girl in the world" Delia gushed in excitement looking at the guests and spying her soon to be husband at the end of the aisle.

"You sure are, Dee. Sam and Ash are both lucky to have you - we all are" Richard commented looking at his daughter in awe. "You look so beautiful in that dress. I'm glad you and Sam are happy together" he added. Caroline and Sally nodded in agreement.

"We are very happy together, Dad. He makes such a wonderful father to Ash" Delia said as she linked arms with Richard. Norman linked arms with her too. Max helped with the long gown trail.

"Have you got the rings, Ash?" Delia asked looking at her son who was holding his Pikachu plushie in one arm and a cushion with the rings on in his spare hand.

"Yes, I got them, mum!" Ash answered looking at the rings.

"Ready?" Norman asked.

"I am! I'm just so excited" Delia said with a smile.

Moments later, Delia heard the wedding march and her heart filled with excitement. She watched as May walked down the aisle with a basket of red petal, she took a handful out now and then and gently scattered them on the carpet, earning an awe from the audience.

May wore a pretty pink flower girl dress and her hair was done up in two ponytails. She wore sandals and a smile on her face as she did her job, waving to the crowd as she did. Soon May reached Professor Oak's side and watched on as Delia came with the boys and Ash.

'She looks so beautiful' Professor Oak thought in admiration looking at his soon to be wife.

'He looks so cute' Delia thought looking at her soon to be husband. 'I can't believe I'm marrying him!'

Soon Delia made it to Professor Oak's side and watched as Norman, Richard and Max stand near Professor Oak while Caroline and Sally kept May company on Delia's side.

"Hello everyone and welcome to the wedding of Professor Samuel Oak and Delia Ketchum. My name is Lisa Stone, and I am the wedding celebrant. We gather here today to witness a beautiful wedding between a couple who love one another dearly. They fell in love after Delia finished university and had their son, Ash. Years later, they began talking about marriage and last year, Professor Oak proposed to Delia while they watched the fireworks at the carnival on a Ferris Wheel. Now without further ado, Professor Oak, do you take Delia to be your wife to love her and care for her for the rest of your life?" Lisa asked smiling to the professor.

"I do" Professor Oak said smiling as he looked at his beautiful bride to be.

"Do you Delia, take Professor Samuel Oak to be your husband and to love him and care for him for the rest of your life?"

"I do!" Delia answered smiling to her soon to be husband.

"Rings please" Lisa said smiling to Ash who at once came to his parents with the cushion that had the rings on. He watched as Professor Oak put a ring on Delia and Delia put one ring on Professor Oak.

Ash smiled watching his parents and hugged his Pikachu plushie.

"I now pronounce you man and wife; you may now kiss the bride" Lisa announced watching as Professor Oak removed Delia's vial and press his lips against hers. Delia flung her arms around him and returned his kiss. The crowd cheered and clapped, some whistled.

Delia chose to keep her current last name as did Ash.

Two years later, Ash left Pallet Town with his new Pokémon - Pikachu with his proud parents watching along the crowd of people who saw him off.
