"Looks like he stayed up all night watching the cameras again," Dipper said quietly as he studied Mike's slumped form and the tablet still held loosely in his grip. It was early morning and Dipper and Mabel had come down to get some breakfast when they found Mike sleeping at the living room table.

"Should we wake him?" Mabel asked, also keeping her voice low. "This doesn't look very comfortable, but Mike doesn't sleep as often as he probably should…"

"We should at least see if we can convince him to go to his room so he can sleep in peace without everyone else doing things nearby," Dipper decided, gently shaking Mike's shoulder. "Hey… hey Mike… you shouldn't sleep here… come on… wake up…"

"…leave me alone Evan…" Mike grumbled, shifting slightly to bury his head in his arms. "…It's too early…"

"Whose Evan?" Mabel whispered as Mike went back to sleep, getting a shrug from Dipper. The twins ended up leaving Mike be, though they did throw a blanket over him and forced a pillow under his head.

Later the three of them were sitting around the living room floor. Mabel was updating her summer scrapbook while Mike and Dipper debated which ghost warding techniques could potentially work on Molten Freddy.

"Who's Evan?" Dipper asked, unable to resist finding out more during a lull in his conversation with Mike. Mike visibly flinched and was startled at having that name brought up out of the blue.

"Where'd you hear that name?" Mike asked, trying to sound casual despite the obvious strain in his voice.

"You called me that when we tried to wake you up this morning," Dipper explained, feeling guilty about bringing it up after seeing Mike's reaction. "I was just curious, but you don't have to talk about him if you don't want to… it seems like a sensitive topic…"

"It's fine…" Mike sighed. A part of him was just tempted to let the subject drop completely and pretend this conversation never happened, but he knew that was just the guilt talking. He didn't want what happened to be the only thing that Evan was remembered for and talking about him would be the only way Mike could keep the memory of the real Evan alive.

"…Evan…" Mike began, forcing himself to speak past the guilt clogging his throat. "Evan was my little brother…"

"Was he your only sibling?" Mabel asked as she and Dipper leaned against Mike to offer support during this obviously hard topic. Both she and Dipper had figured out that Mike had to have at least one sibling based on how he acted and things he said, but this was the first time he outright talked about them.

"No… I also had a little sister, Elizabeth," Mike answered, his voice gaining strength the longer he talked. "She was energetic and could be just as stubborn as me, meaning we butted heads more often than not. But she cared a lot and would always go out of her way to do something if she thought it would make you happy. Evan was very kind and a lot more sensitive than the rest of us would cry about practically everything. Like one time he cried when Elisabeth picked a flower that hadn't bloomed yet because it would never get the chance to show off all its colors. I teased him a lot about that… more than I should have…"

"Do you think they would have liked us?" Dipper wondered, trying to imagine what Mike's siblings were like from his description.

"I do," Mike nodded with a small smile. "Elizabeth would have loved to have another girl around to hang out with and Evan would be so curious about all the adventures the two have been on, though I don't know if you'd could ever convince him to join on one of them."

"Tell us a fun memory about them," Mabel suggested, glad that Mike felt safe enough to talk about his siblings whom he obviously cared so much about with them.

"Okay…" Mike said with a slight chuckle. "I was walking them home from school when it started to rain. We didn't really have any protective gear so we started to run home to try and get inside before it got too bad. The rain started to pick up though and Elisabeth tripped and fell into a puddle. I couldn't help but laugh and tease her, especially when she complained about her hair getting messed up. In retaliation, she threw a ball of mud at me. We forgot about trying to get home at that point and just ran around, jumping in puddles and throwing mud at each other. We were absolutely soaked by the time we got home and nearly completely covered in mud smears. Father was not very happy about that and made us clean up all the mud we ended tracking in the house."

They passed the rest of the day like that, Mike telling a few stories and fond memories of his siblings while Dipper and Mabel shared some of their childhood memories and moments in return. It was still hard to talk about his old siblings, but Mike found himself a little more at peace with the happier memories. Dipper and Mabel might never be able to meet Evan and Elizabeth, but he can still share their stories with them. He can make them a part of his new family too.
