Days had pretty much returned to normal after Johan cleansed Haou of his powers. The Werewolves rejoiced when Jackov returned with Jezebelle and his wife. Hassleberry and O'Brian lead the way for their friends return and bringing the still unconscious Judai through the portal was something Johan wished he couldn't see. He didn't want to see his love lying in bed much longer.
Sadly even returning him to Willow, the boy hadn't woke up right away especially with his wounds having fully healed. That was 3 weeks ago and they were now nearing Christmas. The winter being heavy and harsh.
Chazz's excuses helped keep Judai's parents from snooping around let alone make them want to strangle any of them for keeping their son away for so long. The group returned to school with Hassleberry Jim and Johan having to do slight damage control before being able to return to the school. Everyone was left slightly uneasy and students were concern with the whole ordeal.
The outcasts were able to guarantee that things were okay, especially to the principal and the police. During those three weeks it was almost unsufferable, but now that it was closer to Christmas things have finally died down. The winter grew slightly harsher as the wind picked up a bit and blew snow flakes around whenever it snowed. During those three weeks everyone took turns coming out to check on Judai to make sure he was recovering well.
They took the trip to the village with out Jim, Hassleberry or Johan helping them, especially after a few trips and they did it in pairs. Johan was busy looking out the window, vaguely remembering Chazz and Syrus passing through to head to the village. He had his face cupped as he just looked at the trees in awe and not much enthusiasm.
He was so deep in thought that Jim walked in sat on his bed before he even realized he was there, only when he spoke up and startled the bluenette out of his thoughts, making him turn to look at him. "Hey…" Jim had his arms crossed as he let out a small huff looking at the disheveled male, he was slightly thin having not eaten much because of his worries or just a lack of appetite because his nerves were in bunches that he couldn't eat.
"Cmon mate. I made Chicken alfredo. I even used your moms recipe that she gave me. You need to come eat relax and get it all off your head." Johan nodded as he stood up and followed the tall Aussie out of the room to the small kitchen as he made him a bowl. The Tv in the background was playing a wrestling match from last week and O'Brian was sat watching it, enjoying his own bowl.
"Damn, Johan. Your mom knows how to cook, this is the best sauce I've ever had." Johan chuckled slightly at the tanned males words as he took a bite from his own bowl and nearly burst into tears over the missed flavors that belonged to his mothers cooking. Jim was a master to be able to replicate his mom's touch.
"Thanks for this, Jim….I'm sorry I've been so out of it." Johan looked down at his food bowl as the taller male patted his shoulder before taking a seat. "Don't beat yourself over it. You needed to rest and not think of anything. You managed to save everyone using a power nobody think you could wield." Johan nodded his head as he looked over Jim's shoulder to the floating spirit of Yubel just looking around at the tiny house they lived in.
'This place could use a few fixings and some remodeling.' That wasn't the first time he heard Yubel say that. the first time he heard the demon utter such words he asked where they had heard it. Apparently when nobody was looking Hassleberry loved watching home renovation tv shows and Yubel got slightly invested.
He ate his bowl as Jim's phone rang. The Aussie blinked his eyes before pulling his phone out of his pocket. "Hm? It's Chazz." He clicked the button and put it to his ear. "Yes mate?"
"Hey Jim. Get down here to the village. Bring Johan with you. Apparently earlier this morning Yuki had woken up but he went back to sleep cause nobody was awake yet."
The news had the males eye brows raised as his dark blue eyes looked at Johan making his head tilt slightly looking at Jim with slight confusion as he finished his bowl before standing and taking it to the kitchen.
"Yea mate, I'll be right over." Jim ended the call quickly before going over to Johan and clapped his hand on his shoulder making the bluenette look at him his green eyes confused. "Whats going on Jim?" He wasn't gonna get his hopes up. Jim knew that Johan wasn't gonna ask if it was Judai or not because he was worried something bad might've happen to him. He waited a brief moment before Jim opened his mouth. "Judai was awake this morning. Thats what Haori told Chazz and Syrus. Chazz wants us to come over there just in case he wakes up again."
O'Brian whistled in amazement. "You better get moving lover boy. Don't worry I'll let my cousin know where you guys went when he gets back from his date." Yep 3 weeks of waiting for Judai to regain consciousness and a lot had happened in the process. Hassleberry and Jim came out to both Alexis and Stella and confessed that they were their mates and the girls had slightly different reactions. Stella was practically jumping up and down off the walls getting to have a cute pie as Hassleberry all to herself.
Alexis however was a bit embarrassed, mostly for how much she lashed out a Jim over her brothers disappearance ages ago. See as it turned out Alexis and Atticus's family have been friends with the Cook family for a little while, having been work related buddies. Besides those two pairs Atticus and Fujiwara hung out a lot when the green haired male wasn't stuck in class. Chazz and Aster came out at school and kissed in front over a dozen people including Aster's sort of fan club. Apparently even tho he wanted nothing to do with them, he had one, altho it only happened after the talent show. Lots of the Outcasts had fans of their own just for their amazing singing skills.
Even Adrian who now just hung out around the school after school to scoop the former red head bully into his arms and give her a swift kiss, just to put her in such a daze state. Honestly when the others had head of this they were quite shock to find out the red hot head bully was Adrian's mate. Adrian and Jim did have to set the girl aside and explain their need for the secret and the reason for the whole Adrian being swoon by her. She didn't have any reason to not believe them at that point and vowed not to say anything to anyone, going further to do a blood oath with some of the less trusting individuals, such as Blair Chazz Syrus and Alexis. Apparently being a werewolf you could tell deceit a lot easier than most so thats why Atticus Johan Jehu O'Brian Hassleberry and Jim believed her and Stella and Fujiwara were trusting of their own mates so they went along with them.
With this knowledge in hand and the hope that Judai was awake when they arrived, Jim and Johan sprinted into the woods, their clothes and skin shedded for their four legged wolf forms, just to make the trip faster. Walking through the woods like they did to lead their friends to the village was one thing, Most often they chose to either drive close to where the village was located or shift and make a run there.
Having done this a few times, the boys left ziplocked pants and button down shirts in the tree holes just outside the village gate. The two quickly snagged their bags and shifted and quickly got dressed. Both boys wore Black or grey jeans with a Green button down for Jim and a Lavander button down for Johan. The two also had a pair of shoes waiting by the gate, each slipping into what was basically moccasins.
After entering the Gate the two quickly made their way down to the village. Greeting them was Johan's parents who quickly pulled him into a tight hug. "We took great care of him." Dalilah mused as she ruffled her son's hair making him grimaced at the action but a smile spread across his face nonetheless. Jackov's expression was more reserved but a smile still rested on his face. "Go see him my son. I know you've waited a while to be close to him again." His father wasn't wrong. Since his awakening the link between him and Judai had been strained because he had to stay away from his love for so long, even with his Judai being unconscious most of the time. He wanted to just kiss his sweet brunette once again.
Johan clenched his fists tightly a smile on his face. "Thank you both so much…" He had clenched his fists tightly because he was holding himself back for nearly throwing himself into the hospital, the smell of his mate in the air having been rubbed off on his parents, judging the fact they had recently visited his mate.
Jim nodded his thanks as the two passed his parents to head to the hospital Haori greeting them with a smile, but not needing to lead them to where they are. However a near crashing noise and a yelp cause the two to pause when they saw Haou being man handled by Chazz. "Your not setting foot in that damn room as long as I have any say!" "Y-You don't understand, I-I'm just here to check his vitals!" Haou was slammed into the wall behind him as he looked at Chazz pleadingly.
"Whoa, Mate!" Jim grabbed Chazz's clenched fist which was aimed to hit Haou who was covering his face, flinching heavily. Johan went to stand in front of Chazz blocking his view of Haou as he attended to Haou. "You okay?" The last three weeks had helped him get to know Haou, who altho had been created from both Haori's egg and Judai's spliced dna, mostly so he could resemble the brunette; was actually Jehu's semi intended mate. At least thats what Jehu wanted and was going forward with. He didn't care who he was truly intended for, he felt deeply connected and contented with the dark haired brunette.
Haou had quickly taken up Haori's profession. He ate all the medical books up and knew everything he needed to know within the three weeks in order to personally help his mother take care his cousin, Judai. He had told Johan once during the time he had visited and saw haou working around the hospital, that he wanted to give back to the village that he nearly destroyed. He said it was his way to repay Johan especially for not killing him outright when his powers went out of control.
"I-I'm fine…I'm sorry." Haou looked down as he pushed himself away from the wall and walked away. Johan sighed slightly but looked back at Chazz who settled down thanks to Jim. Johan decided to ignore the three as Syrus and Jim both scolded Chazz over his near blunder. He walked to the door which had Judai's name on the label. He gripped the door handle and pushed down on it, the heavy door opening slightly as he pushed the door ajar. As he did this Chazz and Syrus enter the room with Jim following behind as they gazed at the sleepy Judai.
Johan excused himself needing to use the bathroom, closing the door behind him. In that moment Judai's eyes finally worked their way open having sensed others in the room. 'Yubel…?' He could feel the familiar demon presence as they phased through the door and approached the sleeping brunette. 'I can finally hear you.' They're voice had a hint of worry in it. 'I'm sorry I left you alone…' They had shook their head tho, Judai couldn't see them do it themselves.
'I wasn't alone, tho.' Before they could finish their thought Judai had stirred and opened his eyes, rubbing his face slowly getting used to his body moving since its been so long. "Mmmm…" He made a noise catching the gaze of Chazz who nearly leaped at the now conscious brunette. "Yuki!" "Aniki!" "Judai!" The three cried out joyfully, with only Syrus and Chazz leaping to hug the now conscious male. "Ah!" Judai cried out but laughed as Chazz and Syrus cling to the brunette nearly in tears. "I'm okay you guys. I'm okay." He chuckled as his two best friends let him go t wipe their tearful faces as Jim approached the male. "Hey Judai, how you feeling?"
Judai looked up at him and a smile spread across his face. "Hey Jim, I'm feeling pretty good. So everything worked out." Jim nodded proudly crossing his arms over his chest. "I'm glad to say so. And nobody was injured in the process either. We managed to get Cobra subdued and Haou free of his powers." Judai's eyes widen as his grin spread. "Well thats great! He deserves a second chance." He beamed happily as said brunette walked into the room, his yellow golden eyes widen with delight. "Hi… I'm here to take your vitals.." Haou said sheepishly as Judai just smiled at the awkward brunette who got slightly flustered as he walked to the bed and started the process of taking his vitals. As he finished writing everything down he heard Judai speak up.
"I forgive you for everything." Haou blinked his eyes looking at the brown eyes looking back at him. "Y-you do…? Even… kidnapping Johan?" A weird look crossed the brunette's face but soon a pager over the intercom went off. "Haou Yuki to Room 16." The dark haired brunette panicked and grabbed his chart and things and quickly excused himself. The weird look still remained on Judai's face. He felt like he was missing something. 'Who was he talking about?' The brunette thought, which Yubel heard causing a slightly stricken expression to cross their face and a panic in their body, but it was too late to warn Johan as he exited the bathroom a flush of a toilet announced him as His emerald green eyes met brown eyes from across the room.
"Judai…" Johan murmured, his senses assaulted with the scent of Judai as he crossed the room in an instant with Judai's face in his hands and his lips pressed into the brunette's. Judai's shock was blatantly obvious but the strength the person was using on him right now was pure desperation and longing. Thankfully Johan finally pulled away both of them left breathless as he rested his forehead against Judai's. "God…I've missed you so much…" Johan let out his heavy breath as he looked at Judai who's expression was one of complete confusion.
Johan felt a cold tremor go down his body as he looked at his mate's eyes. "Judai…?"
Chazz Syrus and Jim look at Johan's expression and felt just as cold as he did. Judai's eyes soften. "Thanks for the kiss…But who are you?" Johan felt a surge of panic in his chest as he looked desperately to Yubel who nodded and went to Judai and entered him. His body glowed for a second, Yubel's eyes flashing over Judai's before his brown eyes returned to normal. "Whoa, thats a bit of a daze.." He held his head, clearly not used to Yubel phasing into him.
"What…What happened…?" Johan murmured, his green eyes wide and the clear look of shock and fear across his face. Chazz gripped his shoulder tightly. "Breath… Breath Johan…" The teal blue haired male had to suck his breaths through his teeth in order to maintain composure.
Judai's eyes searched Johan's face, seeing sadness take over his expression. Something inside Judai made him want to erase that look on his face…He wasn't sure why tho. Johan looked back at Judai once more, the same unfamiliarity in his eyes. Johan couldn't take it anymore. 'Whoever….However this happened, its a cruel situation…' He clenched his eyes shut and shoved passed the three males and out the door, and down the hall of the hospital.
"W-wait!" Judai cried out as he jumped out of bed, in nothing but a hospital gown and boxers as he ran down the hall, not even bothering to get his clothes. His feet slapped against the linoleum as he chased the much faster bluenette who made it out of the hospital doors, shaking his clothes loose before shifting right in front of the brunette. His surprise didn't last long as he still gave chase as the bluenette ran out of the village.
"Wait…! Johan!" He cried out the male's name, the name some how feeling familiar on his tongue and lips but the rest of him it wasn't. 'Why…Why does speaking your name feel so familiar…' Judai thought as he chased the now blue furred werewolf in the open field. 'Why do I feel like if I don't stop you…You'll never stop running…' Judai clenched his eyes shut as he broke into a sprint just trying to keep up with the moe quick footed werewolf.
"Johan…!" Judai gasped out. He was begged pleading for anyone to help him stop Johan. Yubel peeked out of his shadow and smirked. 'Need some help?' Judai blinked his eyes and looked at Yubel's faint bodily form. "Please, Yubel!" Yubel smirked knowingly. They knew what would get Johan's attention and make him turn back. Slowly the demon lifted the brunette into the air making him freak out quite a bit. "Yubellll! This isn't what i had in mind!" He felt a surge of panic go through him as he covered his eyes afraid to look down.
'This will get his attention tho.' Yubel smirked further seeing Johan had stopped and was looking around confused by Judai's sudden change in tone. "N-nooo! Put me down!" The brunette yelped in a panic. His voice that time caught Johan's ears as he turned to see the brunette about 10 feet in the air and off the ground. He shifted in a second a pair of boxers still around his waist. "Yubel! Drop him!" Yubel being the most devious demon, lets go of their hold on the brunette who cries out feeling his body starting to plummet to the ground.
"Ahhhhh!"
"Judaaaai!" Johan cried out as he dashed back to the brunette and leaped into the air to catch him 3 feet before he could hit the ground. The two crashed to the ground with Johan flat on the ground with Judai on his chest. The brunette wash shaking slightly as he clung to Johan, trying to expell the fear from his body. Johan rubbed the brunette's half exposed back gently trying to calm him.
"Its alright…Your alright.." Judai peeked up at Johan, the sun making his skin brighter and his eyes light up. It made a strange pang in his chest, just seeing this male before him. His hair was tasseled from the crash landing and he now had leaves and snow mixed in his hair. Johan had just realized that Judai had only been wearing his hospital gown and boxers. He quickly stood up and scooped the brunette into his arms and carried him princess style.
"Ahh! Y-you don't have to carry me!" Judai spoke up bashfully, his face getting flushed as he now realized how cold it was outside. Johan shook his head his green eyes stared down the brunette. "No way. You just regain consciousness. The last thing I'm gonna let happen is you getting sick."
"Sick…" Judai spoke carefully his brain pounding hard as he felt something flash in his head.
" -kinda caught a bug…" Hassleberry reluctantly spoke up looking away from Chazz and Judai who shared a look with each other.
"You don't think…" Judai said in a hush voice to Chazz who caressed his jaw thinking. "Possibility that he hid being sick so the three of us wouldn't worry over him while at the hot spring spa." Judai looked down at his shoes worriedly.
"Someone…got sick before…" Judai looked at Johan as something else flashed in his head.
Judai was lost in his own head. 'A wolf…? But Hassleberry said —….wait..' Judai put two and two together as he was 2 feet from the bed staring at the emerald green eyes on the bed. His voice unwavering, unshaken but small spoke up. "—…?" His voice was filled with confusion as his brain tried to comprehend everything and nothing at all. His arms still at his side and his stance almost frozen in place.
"That wolf….I saw it before…" Johan's eyes widen slightly as brown eyes looked back up at him.
"I saw you before… As a wolf… But why can't I remember more than that…" Judai ran his hands through his hair as he tugged and pulled desperately in confusion. Johan looked at the brunette, wanting to cry over his frustration. He gently pulled his hand from his hair, keeping him in his arms with ease. "Don't…Don't, okay…" Johan walked but he buried his face in the brown locks, making the male in his arms blush heavily from the unfamiliar touch.
Judai looked at Johan before noticing Yubel floating near them. "Yubel?" Their heterochromia eyes looked between the two as they sigh. "I finally figured out what happened to cause Judai's memory loss."
This made the two of them gasp as Yubel was quick to interrupt them and explain. "The spell Jaden cast on you Johan. He was too weak to explain it back then to Judai but knowing how stubborn he is and was, I doubt he would've cared."
Johan felt a cold chill run down his back. "What was the spell?" Judai felt unsure if he should hear this considering they spoke of a person Judai wasn't sure was him. Yubel spoke carefully but their words alone nearly brought the bluenette to his knees. "It was a memory key spell. His memories of you unlocked the seal that kept you asleep. Your basically awake because his memories of you existed."
Johan trembled his grip still tight on the brunette as he looked up at the emerald eyed male who had tears slowly fall down his face. "You mean his memories are gone..?" Yubel shook their head. "The fact he's recalling stuff that has happened before means he's only lost any memory of you being there. Your the part of his memories that are gone." Judai and Johan inhale shakily at this Judai's eyes not leaving Johan's face as he slowly saw tears fall from the bluenette's face.
Judai quickly broke out of the bluenette's arms so he could stand on his toes to pull Johan's face into his chest so he could cry on him. "I…I meant so much to you…" his voice cracked feeling overwhelmed by Johan's own sadness as tears fell from his own eyes. Johan lifted his watery eyes from Judai's chest and looked at him dead in the eye his look unwavering even tho tears threatened to fall.
"You meant the world to me….You still do…!" He quickly cupped the brunette's cheeks making his cheeks burn at the contact as his melted brown eyes look into liquid emerald green eyes. "I'm…I'm not going to give up…I'm not going to give you up….Judai Yuki, I will reclaim your heart and make you mine again…"
Judai couldn't argue against his words. He really couldn't, these were words of a devoted male who was deeply in love. In love with him. Him who didn't even know who he was. Judai just looked into those emerald eyes endlessly as new snow began to fall, on that Christmas day.
