Hello again, it's Jan Mark D. Gestuveo. Back at it again with another chapter. In this chapter, I'm going to continue what we left off in the previous chapter. In which, we're going to see the recording of Militia's debut album in New York, their tour supporting the album, and their way home afterward.

Now I know that my chapters in the main story are short but this chapter is gonna be a long one because I'm going into full detail on how they made the album, how the tour affects the band and the band members physically, and mentally during the tour, and the amount of lovemaking in this chapter.

So warning for people who don't want to read sex scenes in detail, just don't read this chapter in the end after they went home or getting teased by their significant others while they were still busy recording their album.

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK

DATE: JUNE 13, 1971

The band finally arrived in New York after 5 hours of flight. This was a first for all of them because they never left California. As they remove their bags from the plane, and after they left the airport, the band and their management went to Dave's car, where they went to their final destination, which is Columbia Records to record their debut album. As the band members saw what was inside the studio, they were amazed at how clean the studio was, there were so many instruments laying in the studio, and how big the studio was.

"Goddamn.", Ian simply said, amazed how this is where they're going to record their debut album.

"I know, right?", his young brother James agreed.

"Well, welcome to Columbia Records, boys. I know that you guys are now excited to record your album, but you guys haven't seen the place you're going to say.", Dave said to the band. So they went to their place to live for a while during the recording of the album and they were amazed at how great the place is. It was a simple room, with a TV, an air conditioner, their place to rehearse the songs, and four beds so they could sleep individually.

"And this is where you guys are going to live for a while.", Dave said to the band. He continued, "This place is just nearby from Columbia Records so that you guys can still be on time." The band just chuckled at what he said.

As the band members settled in their place to live, they explored New York City and admired how beautiful the city was. The twin towers, the Statue of Liberty, the Time Square, and Central Park. They explored them. Afterward, they went to their apartment to rest, and later, they rehearsed their songs so they can record songs with minimum takes. They knew that studio time was limited and expensive. So far, so good for the band and they can't wait to record their tomorrow.

"This city is fucking amazing.", William said.

"I know right?", Oliver agreed. "Wish that our families are here with us right now."

Every member got a pang of sadness in agreeance at what Ollie said. But they knew that it was not the right decision to do it since their kids were still in school, their loved ones were working and they even knew that they won't bring their families to the studio as most of the time, they will focus on themselves more than their families so that they won't waste their time since again, studio time was limited and expensive.

By the time 8 PM rolled out, almost all of the members were sleeping, except Ian. As much as he's enjoying it, he still has that fear of what happened to his family while he's gone. And as minutes rolled on, he couldn't take it anymore. He had to call his wife. When he saw his bandmates are sleeping, he went to a telephone far enough so his bandmates can't hear him and called his wife.

MEANWHILE, BACK IN SAN FRANCISCO

Diana was having a good day so far. The kids went to sleep easily and they were lucky that their kids weren't spoiled, or crazy. Her job as a music teacher in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music went well so far as she wasn't dealing with bad students and she was paid a fair wage. She went to their bedroom, missing her husband's touch. She then hear the telephone ringing next to their bed and reluctantly picked it up.

"Hi, love.", it turned out it was her husband Ian's voice. She smiled

"Hello to you too, hon.", Diana replied, happy that her husband was ok and wasn't hurt or anything. She added, "How's New York?"

Ian smiled back and said, "It was absolute fun, hon. We got to visit everything that made this city admiring."

"Glad to hear that, love.", Diana said. Then she heard Ian sigh.

"What's wrong?", she said.

"Wish that you were here with me. I miss you, love.", Ian said.

"I know, hon. I'm starting to miss you too.", Diana agreed.

After a few seconds of silence, Ian asked, "So, what you're doing right now?"

This was where the conversation turned heated and Diana decided to tease him, "I'm here on my bed... Alone..."

Ian went wide eyes at what she said, "Please don't do this to me, hon." He felt his pants get tighter as he imagined his wife naked and alone in their bedroom.

Diana continued, "It just feels so good around my skin, hon." She starts to touch her legs sensually, teasing her husband even more.

"Holy shit, you're killing me, love.", Ian was shaking right now. He couldn't stand straight at the teasing that he was leaning on a wall nearby. Good thing that the place was empty so that people couldn't see him squirm. At this point, he couldn't take it anymore and he removed his pants and boxers and started to rub himself. Luckily, nobody was around so he can't get caught.

Diana removed her bathrobe, touched herself, and continued, "I just love how your touch turns me on easily. Your tongue on my legs, my tits, my... Ohhh.", she didn't continue as she began to rub her womanhood, moaning as she said it.

Around 4:35 AM, Ian woke up first. It wasn't surprising that Ian was still the first person to woke up since he was considered to be the leader of the band. Not surprising that his other members were still sleeping, so he went to eat his breakfast alone, and shower alone, and since they were sleeping, he went to his Flying V guitar with his amp with low volume so that he can't wake his members up and starts jamming all of their songs for a while and then jamming all of his favorite bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, and Pink Floyd.

The solo jam lasted for over 3 hours since he loved playing music. Other than his family, music is something that he's good at to escape reality. He's been playing music for almost all of his life. He could imagine that he was playing with his band and just having a really good time with them.

As the other band members finally woke up from their sleep, they saw that Ian was still doing his solo jams. After a few minutes, he finally ended his jams, sensing that his bandmates watched him jamming.

"Always the early bird.", Oliver jokingly said. Ian just chuckled, "Fuck off."

As the other band members prepared themselves for the studio, the band went to rehearse all their songs. These guys rehearse so much that they just feel it and they were confident that they can record the album with minimum takes so they can finish the album ASAP, tour, and finally, come back home with their families.

Their manager Nathan arrived at the band's apartment a few minutes later, seeing that the band was still rehearsing their songs. He knocked on the door, stopping their rehearsal, and said, "Good morning, boys. We need you guys for the recording. Hope you guys are prepared."

The band members smiled at each other and all of them said, "We're ready."

Nathan smiled at the band's enthusiasm, "Glad to see your hopes up. Let's go."

The band packed all their equipment into the big van and went to their studio recording at Columbia Records around 8 AM. As they return to the studio, they were still shocked at how nice the studio was. The studio has a set of guitars and basses they can try, it also has a set of Marshall amps they can try, and overall it has a nice atmosphere.

"I said this once, and I'll say this again, this place is heaven", Ian said.

After they set in the studio, the band met their first producer, Gareth Hadrons, who was a hard rock fan.

As they plugged their guitars, bass, and mics (from both vocals and drums), it was ready for them to record their full-length debut album.

In the first hour of the recording, the band first recorded their first song written "Patriotic Riot". The song was about how being patriotic can led to riots. The song was around 6 minutes and it has a fast tempo, so it would be considered to be one of the first speed metal songs ever. It was also the opening track for the album. They recorded the song in only a few takes on which instruments, rhythm guitars (triple-tracked one for the left, one for the right, and one in the center for the fuller sound), lead guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. They decided that this would be their first and lead single.

In recordings, James was heavily inspired both by John Entwistle from the Who and Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath and he added distortion to his bass on all of the songs for added grit into the songs.

William recorded the drums in only one take, and the people in the room were very impressed by his technical skills.

The second song they recorded was their self-titled song, "Militia". The song's meaning was what the title is, a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency. Just like Patriotic Riot, the song was also fast, using palm muted 16th notes and it was over 7 minutes long. The song was recorded in the fewest takes possible, while remaining sounding fuller on the guitars, triple-tracked (TBF, it was applied on all songs). This would also be their second single for the album.

"I am honestly impressed at how you guys can finish two songs in only an hour.", Gareth said.

"We just trying to record the songs with few takes as possible, while trying to make the songs heavy.", Ian replied.

The third song they recorded was the song, "Genesis Masses". The song was about the whole verse of Genesis in the bible, in the dark side. This song was slower than the last two songs and it was also shorter, around 4 minutes long. This also has an additional bass solo, inspired by N.I.B. by Black Sabbath, only more distorted and a bit technical.

Then the next song they recorded was, "Love Strikes Again". The song was about unrequited love and how it will affect a person. This song was also fast, and around 5 minutes long. The next song they recorded was, "Manhunter". The song was about a man having a desire to kill, hence the name being a manhunter. It was the slowest song they recorded, and it was only 4 minutes long.

"Five songs completed in only 3 hours. I'm impressed at how you guys completed your shit in such a short amount of time.", Gareth said. The band members smiled at what he said. He continued, "Also, this is the first time I recorded this heavy music."

"Is that a bad thing?", James said.

"No, it that it's just faster and heavier than what I usually listened to.", Gareth said.

Knowing that they recorded 5 songs and completed them in 3 hours, the band decided to take a lunch break before completing the remaining songs to be recorded. They have a nice lunch, consisting of delicious foods like steak, fries, salad, fried chicken, and a large soda for the band and the people working for the band. They talked about how the album was gonna be done for only a few weeks before deciding to agree that the album's release date would be around late July and then tour shortly after.

"You guys are probably the fastest and heaviest band that I'll probably know.", Nathan said. The band smiled at that.

"Thanks, I guess.", Ian said.

"So, if we decided to complete the recording of the album today, then we would release the album almost immediately.", Ian told his members.

"So, when are we going to release the album?", Oliver said.

The band went silent for a bit until William said, "Anyone agrees on July 20?". They looked at each other and decided to agree on July 20th. After a delicious lunch, the band went back to the studio and immediately went back to work on their remaining songs, "Beyond Darkness", "Nightmare Fuel", "Trickster", "Anthrax", and "The Wrath Continues".

The band first recorded "Beyond Darkness". The song was about how we didn't fear darkness itself, we fear what's lurking beyond the darkness. The song was slow, Black Sabbath style and it's about 6 minutes long. This would be their third single.

Then they recorded "Nightmare Fuel" next. The song was about childhood nightmares that both Ian and James had. The song was in medium tempo, not slow or fast, plus with an additional drum solo by William in the middle section was about 5 minutes long.

Afterward, they recorded "Trickster" next. The song was about a man who tricked the world about how the world is ending and people went into full panic. The song was fast, plus an additional bass solo from James, and was about 7 minutes long.

Then, they recorded "Anthrax". The song is just like what the title suggests, it's about the disease Anthrax. The song was also the fastest song on the album, but not to the point that it becomes a thrash metal song (since thrash wasn't even coined yet), plus with the additional dual shred solo from both Ian and Oliver. The song was so good that they would put this song later be their fourth and last single for the album.

And lastly, they recorded "The Wrath Continues". The song was about hell's wrath continuing to dwell upon us and will destroy our faith. The song was fast as well, with a special lead solo from Ian. The song was about 9 minutes long and it's the longest song on the album.

"We finished recording our album, boys.", Ian said. Everyone cheered at that. The band have fun recording the album and were impressed at themselves as to how they just finished recording their full-length debut.

"Wow. I have never heard of a band so fast and heavy before. Not even Deep Purple could beat you guys.", Nathan said. The back chuckled at that.

"Well, boys. This is it. It's now 7 PM. You guys hungry?", Oliver said.

The members looked at each other and they all nodded. The boys went to a nearby McDonald's to celebrate their next milestone for the band.

"That was fun. I gotta tell you, James. Your bass tone is sick.", Ian told his younger brother.

"Thanks, man.", James smiled at the compliment.

"Also, fucking hell, William. Calm down with your drumming man. I thought that the set would light on fire.", Ian told William.

William just chuckled at that. The band went to eat and talk for a few minutes before heading back to their apartment to have a nice rest for the day.

DATE: JUNE 15TH - JUNE 19TH, 1971

And so for the next few days, the band focused on remixing the album. They want to have a raw, a bit polished heavy metal album. Ian would tell the producer Gareth how the band wanted the album to sound and he would add some bits to the remixing.

"I would like the bass to be a bit louder to all the song.", Ian said to Gareth.

Even Ian went to remix the album as well, like adding more reverb to the drums and he would not polish his vocal lines. He wants his voice to be raw.

Everything went smooth for the production as well. Both the band and the producer ended up loving the final mix of the album.

Then it's time to release the singles for the album before the initial release of the full-length debut:

1. Patriotic Riot - released on June 20th

2. Militia - released on June 25th

3. Beyond Darkness - released on June 28th

4. Anthrax - released on July 2nd

The fans and even music reviews love the singles, creating a big hype for the album's release.

DATE: JULY 20TH, 1971

This was the band's biggest day. This was the day Militia released their full-length self-titled debut album to the world. The fans didn't feel disappointed with the album. The fans love the album. Even professional music reviews gave this album positive feedback. They were praised for the band's guitar work and vocal work. The self-titled debut sold well, around 20,000 in the first week. The band went on a two-month tour, supporting the album and widening their audience.

The tour add the album sales, selling over 500,000 units after the tour, certified Gold in the United States alone and later Platinum, selling over 1,000,000 copies months later, and finally around 6,000,000 copies around 1978, making this one of the biggest debuts of all time. It was also a special moment for the band. If the band wasn't performing, each of the band members would repeatedly call their families, they would always have this feeling of worry around them and were always relieved when their wives or children would respond that they were fine and all. And even when the band went to tour in Boston Massachusetts, Ian and James have the chance to meet their parents again in person after 6 years since the brothers left Massachusetts to live in California. And when they performed at Starling City, the band was greeted with cheers and one fan even has a sign that says, "WELCOME HOME OLIVER!". Oliver chuckled at that sign. Overall, the tour affected them positively and things went bright and happy for the future of the band.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

DATE: SEPTEMBER 7TH, 1971

As the band finally finished the tour, the band went back home to their families to reunite once more.

"That was the greatest thing I have ever experienced yet.", James said to Ian. Both Oliver and William went their separate ways earlier.

"I know. We should write another album again for the next tour ASAP.", Ian said.

"Bro, let's enjoy our rest first before working on another album again. This tour exhausts us all.", James said. Ian chuckled at that.

"I know. It's that I don't want this shit to end. I'll write more songs for us while you guys were resting, probably.", Ian said to his brother.

"You're becoming a workaholic now, brother.", James teasingly said.

Ian chuckled at that and said, "I've always been a workaholic since our band formed."

"Fair' Nuff.", James said.

"So, bro. I'll see you around soon.", Ian said to his younger brother.

"Alright, I'll see you around too, bro.", James said to his older brother and they went on their separate ways so they can reunite with their families once more.

Ian opened the door and he was surprised by his kids, running in his direction.

"DADDY!", all of his children ran to their father. They miss their daddy so much. As they hugged their father, Ian fell backward and his children were laying with him on the floor.

"I miss you, daddy.", Brian Tyler said.

"I miss you too, daddy.", Bruce Damien said to his dad.

"I miss you all too, kids.", Ian said to all of his sons, hugging them.

"Now what are all of my boys doing on the floor?", Ian then heard his beautiful wife's voice. Diana was standing in the dining room when she witnessed the scene. Ian then stands himself up, went to his wife, and starts to kiss her passionately.

"I miss you, hon.", Ian said while still kissing his wife.

"I miss you too, my love.", Diana said.

Noticing that it was afternoon, the family went to watch a movie together in the living room and went to dinner before going to their bedroom.

"So, how was the tour, hon?", Diana said.

Ian smiled and said, "It was an experience, I'd say."

"Glad to hear that you're enjoying yourself.", Diana said, happy that her husband was enjoying his life.

They then started to kiss each other passionately, they both remove their clothes and starts making love to one another. Ian first kissed her right ear, and then her neck, making her moan with delight. Then he went down to her breasts, licking her perky nipples, making her moan louder. And so there you go. The chapter about how the band handle the recording and releasing of the album, the tour and the band had returned home to California so that they could reunite their loved ones once more. Now, I didn't include both James and Charlene and William and Emily because I feel like this chapter is gonna overload with just sex scenes. So I decided to just cut both of them into this chapter.

This is probably the longest chapter I've done yet since this chapter has almost 5,000 words in it. I hope you guys enjoy this one. Feel free to review, whether positive or negative. There will be new characters in the couple few chapters, but I'm not gonna spoil it to you. And there will be tragedy for either one of the characters in the story. Again, I won't spoiled it to you.
