"Let...me...GO!" Spongebob hollered as he tried to shake out of the painful grasp of the mammoth-like plant that Wendy had sowed in the basement of the local biological facility, which was now crumbled down as the beast grow to an enormous side, using two of its strong vines to incapacitate both Sandy and Spongebob, lifting them high in the air, with Wendy standing off to the side, her teeth gritting in excitement as her plan was about to be complete. Just one more ingredient needed to be added to the concoction for her dreams to be fulfilled: the nuclear codes.
Little did Wendy know...two officers were attempting to put a halt to her devious plan once and for all. Spongebob and Sandy suddenly stopped struggling as the Dionaea Muscipula opened its mouth wide open, its long, string-like orange tongue sticking out, craving what it thought were to be two fresh meals. As Spongebob and Sandy were slowly levitated downwards toward the monster's strong jaws, Spongebob looked up at Sandy and frowned sadly at the sight of what used to be the most powerful person he had ever meant, was now a broken individual whose face dissolved into sadness and understanding that their fates were about to be met, and there was nothing they could do about it.
Taking in the gravity of the entire situation, Sandy looked up at Spongebob's eyes and gave him a defeated look. "Spongebob..." she spoke, her voice still laced with fright.
"Yes?" Spongebob asked in desperation
"I just wanted to say thank you...for everything," she disclosed, her eyes growing damp.
Spongebob blinked away the tears that were forming in his eyes. "You're just saying that because we are about to die, right?"
"Well, that's one reason but...I mean it. You may have been a complete goofball for all the years that I have known you but-" A small, but sad smile formed on Sandy's face. "I can't think of anyone else I would go along this journey. You were everything I would ever want, not just from a boyfriend, but from a true best friend."
Hearing those words caused more tears to fall down Spongebob's cheeks. He smiled back at his girlfriend and spoke, almost choking on his words. "You were no doubt the strongest person I have ever met. I can't think of how you persevered through everything, from Patrick's death to dealing with all my bullshit, but...you are a role model. MY role model, and sometimes I just don't have the guts to say this to you but...I love you."
Sandy's eyes filled up as well as she replied. "I love you, too."
Just then, they looked down and noticed they were right above the beast's jaws. Wendy grinned in delight as she realized two of the barriers that were withholding her back from finishing her mission were now going to be consumed and diminished forever.
Right as Spongebob and Sandy were about to accept that their fate was about to be sealed once and for all, the plant suddenly roared in pain as it felt an electric shock from one of its stems. It began swinging its vines aimlessly as it began to throw a massive tantrum. Thankfully, its utter childish fit had ridden Sandy and Spongebob far away from its jaws.
"What's happening?!" Sandy asked in pure confusion, looking around from where she and Spongebob were, still wrapped in one of the vines.
"I don't know!" Spongebob replied, looking around to see what was the issue, but then something caught his eye that made him almost shriek in joy. "Look!"
Sandy glanced down to where Spongebob was staring and gasped. Standing on the sidewalk by the beast, stood none other than their close ally, the female officer herself that have supported the two ever since Patrick was murdered.
"NANCY!" Both Spongebob and Sandy cheered. She was armed with a taser, which she had used to stun the plant long enough to save her friends and a bucket of some liquid she had most likely received from the facility.
She looked up and saw her friends still bound up high above the ground by those vines. She yelled out. "DON'T WORRY GUYS! OFFICER HOOKS TO THE RESCUE!"
"JUST SAVE US!" Sandy hollered from where she was hanging. Nancy nodded her head determinedly and in a flash, dumped the liquid, which Sandy noticed immediately was a very powerful brand of herbicide all over the roots of the plants. Soon enough, the plant roared as it felt its inside burn up. It unwillingly loosened its grip on Spongebob and Sandy, sending them plummeting downwards. As they screamed for their lives, Spongebob pulled out his bubble wand, which he had kept on him 24/7, mainly as bubble blowing was a calming remedy for him, even to this day. He blew a bubble large enough for him and Sandy to secure themselves in. This softened their fall as the bubble slowly levitated the duo downwards in the middle of the road before it popped. Sandy and Spongebob landed on their feet safely, both letting out a huge sigh of relief.
They then looked over at the beast and noticed all the vines have now decomposed into dust, but the head and body of the plant were still standing, and the plant growled towards the two. Suddenly, it closed its head and launched itself towards Spongebob and Sandy, trying to conduct a headbutt maneuver that would have easily taken the two out if they hadn't jumped in opposite directions to avoid it.
Spongebob stood up and pulled out a wooden plant from the open trunk of an enemy vehicle that was parked on the opposite side of the road. "Ok, you freak!" He called out with an eager grin on his face. "Bring it on!"
As Spongebob was busy battling with the grotesque plant, Sandy looked over at Nancy, only to find Wendy had jumped the officer from behind. Sandy watched in horror as Wendy was wrestling Nancy to submission, throwing punching at the officer's fragile face. Though by the looks of it, Nancy's training from boot camp was paying off as she was able to put up a fight with the psychotic fugitive. A fight Sandy bet she could not stand a chance to take a part in, especially what happened earlier when Wendy invaded her apartment.
Once Sandy noticed Nancy's face was dripping blood, her blood began to boil over as Wendy continued to lay waste to the Bikini Bottom officer. She sprinted over towards the fighting ladies, lunging herself towards Wendy, pushing her off the battered officer.
It did not take Wendy long to assess her entire situation as Sandy began throwing punches at her as the crook lay on her back. She winced before kicking Sandy hard in the abdomen. Sandy landed on her back as she clutched her stomach in pain.
Nancy practically crawled over to her friend, wiping some of the blood from her own forehead with her shirt as she came to Sandy's aid. "Are you alright?"
Sandy gave a hard cough before taking in more air into her lungs, trying to recover from her recent blow. "I'm alright," she muttered painfully. She looked over at Spongebob, who was still battling with the plant monster. The Muscipula was attempting to trap Spongebob in between its mighty jaws, but the yellow sponge was fighting back with every bit of strength he could induce in a weak plank.
"We need more of that herbicide," Sandy informed. She looked up at Nancy and asked. "Where did you find that bucket in the first place."
"The lab room in the building," Nancy answered, but then a light bulb lit over her head. "Wait, isn't herbicide flammable?"
"Yeah, it is," Sandy replied, but then her eyes widened as the same idea formed in her mind. "Nancy, you're a genius!"
"Just go get more, I'll help Spongebob," Nancy ordered, before standing up and pulling out her baton. She ran into the frenzy between the Muscipula and Spongebob, helping the sponge out by swinging her baton at the Muscipula, barely inflicting any damage as the baton was proven to be a much weaker opponent compared to the mutated plant.
Sandy ran around the plant, through the now decimated lobby that was barely lit thanks to the power outage caused by the plant's destruction. She ran down the long and narrow hallway until she reached a room that was considered to be the lab. She walked in and was amazed to see that the entire lab seemed untouched, despite it being completely abandoned, there were still beakers and containers everywhere filled with outlandish concoctions that were manufactured by scientists before this whole chaos occurred.
Then, a large green barrel caught Sandy's eye. It indeed read 'herbicide' written in white on the center, with a warning on the bottom regarding the chemical's flammability...as if Sandy even cared.
"Spongebob, stand back! It's gonna strike!" Nancy yelled as she grabbed Spongebob's arm and tried to distance the both of them away from the plants as it tried several times to headbutt the two, before shaking its head berserkly. Wendy, from out of nowhere, appeared next to the officer and the sponge, putting on a grin that resembled that of victory.
"You may have weakened my pet, but rest assured that by the end of it, it will end you. And I will take over this entire region once and for all.
Spongebob took a few steps behind Nancy, just as the officer whipped out her pistol and aimed it toward the psychotic fugitive. "Step back!" She warned as Wendy took a few steps forward, showing absolutely no sign of fear, but rather delighted from seeing the officer in such a desperate state.
Just then, a voice caught everyone's attention. "NANCY!" They all their heads and gasped as Sandy was seen jumping out of the broken entrance of the facility, clutching a dark green barrel, and what appeared to be a C4 grenade attached to its center. "GUYS! RUN!" She yelled before throwing the barrel toward the plant creature. She ran down the road with Nancy and Spongebob a safe distance from the plant monster. Sandy pulled out a small, remote-shaped detonator from her pocket and, without any hesitation, pushed the red button just as Wendy caught up with them. The grenade that was implanted in the barrel was triggered, causing an eruption that spread the herbicide all over the Muscipula, causing it to shriek in agony as its entire body was reduced to dust.
"NO!" Wendy wailed in defeat, stomping her feet repeatedly. "NO! NO! NO! NO! NOOOOO!"
Sandy stood up rebelliously on her feet, clenching her fists as she stared into Wendy's eyes. "You're done for, Wendy." She said with a wicked grin.
Wendy growled as she called out. "This isn't over."
Spongebob stood next to Sandy, smirking as he crossed his arms. "Oh, yes it is, Wendy."
To their surprise, Wendy let out a maniacal laugh as she spoke. "Oh, so you think? Well, think again! My men have just radioed me and informed me that the mayor had finally broken down and provided them with the nuclear codes! I may not have that plant to back me up, but I will be delighted to move forward with my plan to take away everything you hold dear." She looked at them with a look that resembled that of malice and hatred.
Just as she spoke, a truck pulled from behind her. She casually hopped into the trunk as it drove off, nearly running over Spongebob, Sandy, and Nancy. But they jumped out of the way. Sandy landed on her knees and hands as she stopped herself from almost getting her face implanted on the solid pavement.
"LATER, LOSERS!" Wendy hollered as the truck sped down the road.
Spongebob rushed over to help Sandy up as he exclaimed. "What is she talking about?" He was panicking at the moment. Now that Wendy had gotten what she wanted out of the mayor, there was no telling how long it will take before she uses the codes to cause mayhem and destruction.
Sandy shook her head for a moment before a sudden realization struck her. It was all coming together. There was nothing Wendy craved more than getting revenge on those who wronged her, and there was no other place that they held dear to their hearts than the very city they came from.
"Spongebob!" She screamed. "She still has the mayor!"
Nancy approached the two as she stared grimly into Sandy's eyes. "Sandy, you're a computer expert, right?"
Sandy shrugged and spoke. "Yeah, I can hack into the database and-"
"You can find out where Wendy is striking, here." Nancy pulled out her smartphone from her pocket. "Just hack into the mainframe and find out what she is up to."
Sandy nodded and anxiously took the phone from Nancy. She went through the deep web in order to access the mainframe of the NSA. It showed her the entire map of the ocean, with red dots indicating where Wendy will strike.
Sandy's hands were shaking as she whispered. "Oh my god."
"What, Sandy?" Nancy pleaded.
"Oh my god," Sandy repeated.
"Sandy?"
"Dear Neptune..." it was at that moment that Nancy and Spongebob were growing increasingly agitated, but at the same time, incredibly nervous. If what Sandy had discovered was leaving her in the state of shock that she was, then what she had found was clearly not good.
"For the love of all fish, Sandy!" Spongebob exclaimed, becoming frustrated by the minute. "What is it?!"
"She has marked the entire perimeter of Bikini Bottom," Sandy finally confessed in disbelief before frantically screaming. "SHE'S GOING TO DETONATE THE ENTIRE CITY!"

Yep, what a pickle these guys are in, huh? I'm sorry this chapter came out late. Been working overtime to may some extra cash! Also, because my sisters have been begging me to help them purchase the PS5. Plus, college tuition is a bitch.
