Notes of Tamriel By Olivia Chirja,

Notes #1: The witches from the Boiling Isles are vastly different then Tamriel witches. The main difference is that they don't need a sacrifice and can not transform to become Hagravens. But I did learn that the Boiling Isles witches draw magic not from the Aetherius but from their bile sacs attached to their hearts. And I learned that the Boiling Isles witches are getting used to the Aetherius magicka, and from Willow, Gus, and Skara they feel their bile sacs pumping more magic than usual after a consumption of potions of magicka.

Chapter 5:Dungeon Delving in the Barrow

Riverwood

18th of Last Seed

Jacob's dream…

"Our hero, our hero

Claims a warrior's heart…

I tell you, I tell you

The Dragonborn comes…"

A female voice sings… a melody Helios remembers…

"With a Voice wielding power

Of the ancient Nord art…

Believe, believe,

The Dragonborn comes…"

A gentle soft hand caressing his head…

"It's an end to the evil

Of all Skyrim's foes…

Beware, beware

The Dragonborn comes…"

"For the darkness has passed

And the legend yet grows…

You'll know, you'll know

The Dragonborn's come…"

"My sweet boy… you are born into this world to do great things… I love…"

"I love you too mom…" Helios silently said… a small tear drips from his face. He opened his eyes after that…

He remembered, he's sleeping in the tavern they rented out for the night. After Helgen, they arrive at Riverwood but not before the dragon flying off past Bleak Falls Barrow. Then a short travel from there, encountering three guardian stones, and a wolf pack.

Both Imperial and Stormcloak, Hadvar and Ralof, made a temporary truce until they came to Riverwood with the Helios party (under the gaze of Pikachu). And the former caged mage went along with needing some healing from Olivia.

Makayla, along with witches were there on arrival.

Flashback 17th of Last Seed

"By the eight and nine you all are alright." Makayla said in relief.

"What happened to your armor?" Cat said to Jacob with concern.

"A dragon happened, Cat… It dented my armor."

"Hey… Who are they?" Emira questions the Imperial, Stormcloak, and mage.

"Just some folks who were in need of help." Mateo said but either Hadvar or Ralof were about to say something but stopped when their gaze landed on Pikachu who released small sparks from its cheeks. They don't want another thunderbolt experience.

End Flashback

"Almost home…" Helios whispered, finished tying the knot that holds his reforged banded iron armor. He's glad that Alvor allows him to use the forge and place to stay for some of the witches and trainers, same with Gerdur for bringing both Hadvar and Ralof back from Helgen.

The four Tamriel residents rent rooms in the Sleeping Giant Inn for the night and the witches and trainers stayed in both Alvor and Gerdur place but agreed to come over to the inn the next day.

"Alright, a new day, new quest to begin…" Jacob said as he exited his rented room and into the hall.

He could see the rest of the party here. Makayla was teaching Boscha some Tamriel alchemy, Skara was listening to Sven as he played Ragnar the Red, Mateo and the trainers and some of the witches were eating breakfast, and Olivia was teaching the rest of the witches with some spells from a few spell books.

"Oh! Morning Jacob, there's a plate for you. We already paid for it." Mateo said, ushering Helios to where his plate is on the table.

Sitting down, Jacob sees that his plate has his favorite, salmon steak with a fried egg and a slice of cheese with a side of bread and a tankard of mead.

"Are we allowed to drink this…" Luz asked as she saw Mateo taking a gulp of mead.

"Depending on your guy's tolerance." Jacob replied as he took a bite of the salmon. "So… we're still going to Whiterun?"

"We are, but we are running low on gold." Olivia said as she and witches came to the table after their lessons.

"Really? How?" Ash questions but the four residents of Skyrim stare at him and the group of trainers and witches silently. "Oh…"

"We only have about 300 gold left, we previously had 3214 gold pieces but due to some uh, circumstances…" Mateo said, circling his hand a bit, droning off a bit.

"Wait, you're saying it's our fault." Amity demanded.

"I mean… You all appear here."

"Just to be clear, we already accepted that you all are from different worlds and you need help." Jacob said.

"That's a relief." Willow sighed.

"But that doesn't mean it's free."

"Huh?" Amelia question.

"Today you all have to earn your keep, Mateo?" Jacob spoke out.

"Right, we got a quest from the Riverwood Trader, Lucan wants us to get back his golden claw that was taken by thieves. They're currently held up at Bleak Falls Barrow." Mateo explained. "Also there are bandits in the Embershard Mine to deal with, and Gerdur is paying for work at the lumber mill."

"Jacob, Olivia, Boscha, Skara, Cat, and Edric will take Bleak Falls Barrow. Makayla, Amity, Luz, Willow, and Gus will take Embershard Mine. And the rest of us will work around Riverwood."

"Sounds like a good plan, we'll begin in a few moments, after I finish my plate." Jacob then took a few bites of his food and downed it with mead.

"Again, are we really allowed to drink this?" Luz asked again.

Moments later

At the edge of the gate, the Bleak Falls Barrow party consists of Jacob the Templar Mercenary, Olivia the Tamriel Bard/Mage, Boscha the three eyed Alchemy Witch, Skara the Bard Witch, Cat the Healing Witch, and Edric the Illusionist Witch.

"Everyone ready?" Jacob asked his current members.

"Boscha and I have potions of Stamina, Magicka, and Health stocked and ready to be used thanks to Makayla." Olivia said.

"Thanks to Olivia we learned a few spells." Edric then performs a Clairvoyance, forming a light path to Bleak Falls Barrow. Cat then performs a Lesser Ward spell which a barrier is form around her. And Skara then uses a Tamriel flute she bought and a light aura surrounds her.

"Looks like your training is up to Tamriel standards, Jacob we are ready." Olivia spoke out.

"Alright then let's go." Jacob said out loud and then they proceeded to cross the bridge and head towards the mountains where the Barrow is.

Back in Riverwood

*Chop*

"Alright keep going." Mateo shouted out as he was carrying a bundle of firewood.

*Chop*

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" Ash shouted to his electric mouse companion, which the mouse's tail glowed white and used its tail to cut a log of wood apart.

Mateo, Kiawe, and Ash and Pikachu are working at the lumberyard for Gerdur to earn some septims. While Lana is fishing mostly salmon but she managed to catch a few different species of fish for her to sell.

Lillie and Mallow are helping out with Orgnar in the Sleeping Giant Inn with cleaning and cooking. Sophocles is helping with Alvor in the blacksmith with moving materials and Amelia is helping around the small gardens. And Emira somehow stops a love rivalry between Sven and Faendal over Camilla Valerius who is tearing both men a new one for their plans.

Embershard Mine

"Ready?" Makayla asked as the others nodded.

She then fired her crossbow at the one bandit guarding the entrance. The bandit falls dead from the Redguard's precision aim. The group then entered the mine but Makayla managed to spot the trip wire that releases the boulders.

Passing over it they attacked the two bandits, one of which is a Jackal gang member. The Redguard took out the Jackal member with her crossbow and Luz used an ice glyph to freeze the other bandit.

Bleak Falls Barrow

Dealing with a small group of bandits from an old watch tower. The group managed to climb up to Bleak Falls Barrow, the cold weather pressing hard against the party besides Jacob and Olivia who got used to the cold blizzard.

The Nord and Breton use both bows and spells to take out the guards outside and looted their remains and begin entering the Barrow.

"Oh titan it's over…" Skara sighed in relief from the frigid weather.

"Oh come on, it wasn't that bad." Jacob said as he shook a bit of frost off from his armor.

"Really? You are a Nord Jacob, you are very resistant to the cold, natural and magical." Olivia stated.

"Wait really?" Cat questions Olivia's statement.

"Yeah, as a Nord of Skyrim, I'm resistant to frost both natural and magical. And Olivia here as a Breton, she is resistant to magical attacks from enemies." Helios explained.

"As I want to continue with the lessons of Tamriel, we got a golden claw to retrieve." Olivia pointed to the camp where two bandits are resting.

"Oh yeah… Would you mind?" Jacob asked.

Olivia nodded as she cast a paralyze spell to keep the bandits in place. They come to the tunnel that leads deeper into the Barrow. Not before looting the bandits and the chest.

"Uh… Guys, is this what Luz was talking about?" Helios grabbing something in the chest he pulled was some kind of a long weapon that was made of which is considered junk with a barrel at the end, a strange sight, and an open case with some kind of ammunition sticking out.

(Jacob Helios has acquired Bastard Rifle from Metro 2033)

Author Notes:The bold will be showing which character got something either be a weapon or item

"It looks like someone used scrap metal and tried to make a weapon." Helios said as he inspected the weapon. Then a thought formed.

"I think I know how to use this…" Remembering the encounter with the bandits and the viper gang. He readjust the way he holds it and aim like the way Makayla uses her crossbow.

"Ok… Just aim and…" Jacob then aims at a wall and squeezes the trigger.

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

Three rounds burst out from the gun as it made loud noises waking up the two of bandits but can't move because of the spell.

"… Guess this is an effective weapon." He then put the gun by the side of his backpack.

Leaving the paralyzed bandits they enter through the tunnel and they are about to enter a large area but Helios stops them.

"What?" Edric asked.

Jacob simply points to a bandit who is moving a lever but when he did, darts struck him with the poison tipped darts killing him.

"Oh…"

So the group entered the hall, one the left they saw three turnable pillars, and on the top were three stone tablets though the middle one was broken off.

"I think I know how to do this, Boscha help me with this." Jacob asked her which she reluctantly agreed and both of them moved the pillars to the correct order based on the stone tablets.

Snake, Snake, and finally Whale.

"Ok… Moment of truth, everyone get back please." Helios grabbed the lever and pulled it. Instead of poisonous darts, the front gate opens.

Helios sighed in relief and they continued on, found a chest and a few urns, though only found a couple of septims. 34 exactly but the chest has three amethysts.

Going down the stairs and encountering three Skeevers they continue on till a conversation takes place.

"Jacob?" Skara said.

"Yes Skara?"

"Back from Riverwood, I've been hearing about a civil war here."

"Oh… You mean the Stormcloak rebellion against the Empire."

"But how did it happen?"

"Well, it started with the end of the Great War, the Empire lost against the Thalmor, the High Elves or Altmer of Summerset Isles and it is very different from the Boiling Isles, the emperor had to sign the White-Gold Concordat to end the war." Helios explained as the others besides Olivia listened in. "The treaty states that the worship of Talos to be banned, the southern part of Hammerfell to be given to the Dominion, and the disbanding of the Blades, which are the guards for the emperor but they do other tasks by the emperor's orders."

"The banning of a god…" Edric whispered a bit remembering some books he borrowed to read from Olivia though out of boredom, one of those was a guide of the Nine Divines of Tamriel.

"Right, the Jarl or king to understand, of Windhelm Ulfric Stormcloak took Markarth and held it and won't surrender to the Imperials till the worship of Talos is allowed. This got the Aldmeri Dominion attention since the treaty wasn't enforced so they have a presence here in Skyrim. Ulfric then arrived at the gates of Solitude, requesting an audience with High King Torygg. Although the court had imagined Ulfric came to ask Torygg to declare independence for Skyrim, and in our Nordic traditions he challenged the High King to a duel. He killed the High King, shouted at him to death even."

"Shouted!? Like did he have a heart attack or something?" Boscha asked surprisingly.

"If that heart attack causes him to explode." Jacob replied. "Now the empire is out for his blood for murdering the high king. Though he declared a duel, it wasn't public enough, and that's what I know of the civil war so far. But from both Hadvar and Ralof, the imperials set up an ambush on the Stormcloaks capturing Ulfric, the imperials wanted him transferred to Cyrodiil to face judgement but Tullius, the general of the imperial army, decided to have him executed in Helgen."

"And that's when the dragon attacked." Skara filled in the blank.

"Right, and now the civil war continues, last I heard it's at a standstill, and my home Whiterun is in the middle of it. Because Jarl Balgruuf refused to garrison imperial troops and refused Ulfric's claim."

"Wait, you only live in Whiterun?" Cat asked as Jacob nodded.

"You're correct, I was born in Whiterun, Olivia lived in Solitude, Mateo and Makayla lived in Dawnstar."

But before any conversation can continue, they hear a man's voice.

"Is... is someone coming? Is that you Harknir? Bjorn? Soling?"

"You hear that right?" Olivia said as Helios nodded.

After cutting through the web, they enter a large open area with a bunch of webs around. But the most noticeable things are two people trapped in the webs.

One is a Dunmer or dark elf to the witches, trapped in webs and it's in front of a hallway continually into the Barrow.

But the other is a girl around their age group, close to Jacob's age. Hanging upside down and unconscious, she has reddish brown hair hanging down due to gravity. But the most noticeable thing about her is that she wears a green cloak with a symbol of wings, one blue on the left and white on the right. And she has two rectangular metal boxes with handles sticking out on each side of her hips.

"What? Who are you? Quick cut me down before it comes back!" The Dunmer hastily call out to the group. But as soon as he said it, a very large Frostbite Spider, but the party noticed some scarring on it so it probably is wounded so it wouldn't be that difficult.

It would have, but the spider sprayed poison at Helios from its entrance making him a bit slow in movement. Boscha and Olivia were the first to act by using flames on the arachnid, Skara and Edric used their staffs to furiously whack on the spider and Cat help Jacob flush out the poison with a cure and restore stamina potions.

"Thanks Cat!" Helios said as he did a quick run and jumped on top of the spider and thrust his steel sword where its eyes were, cutting through the arachnid's brain. It crumbled under the weight of the Nord.

"You did it. You killed it. Now cut me down before anything else shows up." The Dunmer said as Helios nodded to Edric and Cat to help the unconscious girl down.

"Before I cut you down, I need to answer my question. Where is the claw?" Jacob spoke to him as the others successfully brought the girl down.

"Yes, the claw. I know how it works. The claw, the markings, the door in the Hall of Stories. I know how they all fit together! Help me down, and I'll show you. You won't believe the power the Nords have hidden there." This causes him and Olivia to raise their brows a bit and stare at each other.

"Fine then I'm cutting you down." Olivia shrugged as she formed a small flame and moved it towards the web.

"Sweet breath of Arkay, thank you." The Dunmer sighed in relief as the webs burned away.

'We already know you're gonna betray us…' Helios thought quietly.

"It's coming loose, I can feel it." And at that, the dark elf is released from the web, but before the others could react, he bolted out from them and headed down the hallway tunnel. "You fools, why should I share the treasure with anyone?"

"Does he realize that the entrance is behind us?" Edric questions the dark elf action.

"Oh Edric, when you are with us for a while, sometimes dungeons always have a back entrance and-" Jacob pauses and looks around a bit. "Wait? Where's Boscha?"

"GET BACK HERE YOU CHEAT!" Boscha yelled out to the thief as she chased him down.

"Wait Boscha! Skara, Cat with me!" Helios and the two witches run towards the hall to catch up with the three eyed witch and the dark elf thief.

"Skara I gotta ask, how is Boscha…"

"Like this aggressively, well… she has a habit of taking revenge against someone, and her as a grudgby player reinforces her anger." Skara explained as the three entered the catacombs were ancient Nords rest.

The three are catching up to Boscha and the thief but Jacob notices a pressure plate on the floor and the dark elf stepped on it…

"Boscha!" Helios shouted as he grabbed the collar of her clothes and pulled hard to get her out of a spike wall trap that swung and hit the Dunmer thief.

Helios pulled Boscha so hard, it caused him to slip and fell on the stone floor with her on top of him, luckily they avoided the trap.

"Boscha!" Skara shouted in shock at what occurred.

"Ow… We… should talk about this after we're done here Boscha…" Jacob sighed as he looked at Boscha who was still shocked at what occurred.

*Growl*

"Uh oh…" Jacob knew those sounds.

Olivia's group

"She's still knocked out." Edric pokes at the unconscious girl with his staff.

"Stop that, and yeah I even cast healing on her and nothing seems to affect her." Olivia sighed as she then grabbed something in her bag.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting a snack, I'm getting a bit hungry." Olivia grabbed a loaf of bread out.

Unknown to the two, the girl began to stir, sniffing the air, the girl's eyes opened and then lunged at the Breton mage. More specifically her bread.

"Ahh!" Olivia was caught off guard by the girl, causing her to fall on the ground.

Looking towards the girl, they see her standing on four and the bread in her mouth like an animal.

"Wait… This is…?" The girl said as the two looked at her in confusion. "Bread!"

"Uh…" Edric is befuddled.

"I…" Olivia is confused.

"Hm?" The girl turns her eyes on the two while munching on the bread.

"Let's forget about what just happened." Olivia cleared her throat and said "I'm Olivia Chirja, and this is Edric Blight."

"Hey." Edric waved to the girl.

"My name is Sasha Braus. And Uh… where I'm I?" The now named Sasha asked.

"We are inside Bleak Falls Barrow, in the northern province of Skyrim, in the continent of Tamriel." Olivia answered

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

*Bang!*

"Oh no… Jacob!" Both Olivia and Edric went towards the sounds of gunfire along with Sasha who have the bread in her mouth running with them.

Jacob's group

"Gods damn it!" Helios shouted as he fired three rounds from the rifle with one hand into a draugr at the head and crawled away while carrying Boscha by her waist with his other hand.

All the while Skara and Cat are dealing with the other draugr but two more appear and are heading towards the two on the floor.

Then a fire ball appears and strikes the undead, burning it to a crisp.

"Looks like we caught up in time." Edric said out loud as he help the other two witches with the draugr.

"Thanks." Jacob then aims at the last draugr and fires the gun at the head.

With that battle over he ushered Boscha to get up and him getting off the floor.

"H-how and w-what are you people?!" Sasha yelled out as she brought out two swords from the metal boxes on her sides.

Elsewhere

Author Notes:sometimes I'll be adding perspective of other characters either with Brayden or one of my OC's this one is a filler

In the hold of Falkreath, an Altmer of a 19 to 20ish appearance, is quietly reading a book inside his cabin a bit far from the hold.

His name is Hugool (Hugo) Koran, a former Thalmor soldier who quit after witnessing the terrible acts of the Thalmor, mainly the campaign he participated in that caused the Green Fire.

Hugool sighed quietly with old memories rising up, his left hand shaking a bit.

"It's over… now… I'll try to do good." Hugool said to himself as he grabbed a few letters that a courier that recently delivered.

Looking through, the first letter left him disgruntled, it's from the Thalmor ambassador in Skyrim wanting him to rejoin the ranks as a guard with his expertise. He quickly cast flames to burn the letter. The others are from his compatriots who quit as well, one of the letters from his compatriots was some intel of an uprising in Summerset but he knows he supports the uprising.

But the last one got his attention, it has a wax seal of a sun symbol on it.

"It can't be…" Hugool then proceeded to open the letter and read its contents.

"To my friend, to an Altmer like you, three years have been short, but to me it has been a while. You already know by reading this letter that I, along with my cousins have returned from Cyrodiil. And I have been thinking since our temporary disbandment of our group with the others but now, I think it's time that we reform our group. I'll send you a letter soon on where we will be situated, but for now I'll be heading home to Whiterun to see my mother again and get things ready for our group's revival. And we'll meet again soon, and we have new members as well"

From, Commander Jacob Helios of the Helios Sunstriders. P.S. I'm trained as a Templar now."

"Hmm… Helios, you always like this group." Hugool smiles as he get up and opens one of the cabinets inside and pull out an expensive wine bottle and a goblet.

"I'll consider this a toast to our return." Hugool said as he poured the contents into his cup and drank it.

Jacob's group

"Well then, that clears things up." Jacob told himself as they continued on. Though Sasha was hesitant at first, things were clear and she joined the group. With the golden claw on hand from the dead thief and dealing with the two traps they are now heading towards the end. Going through draugr and a large cavern and getting loot, they reach one obstacle.

"This is a dead end." Sasha spoke out as she sheathed her blades.

"Sasha, you need to have an open mind and the knowledge of adventuring in dungeons like this." Jacob said as he brought out the claw and inspected it. Then he proceeded to move the rings in a certain order

Bear on top, Moth in the middle, and Owl on the bottom.

He then inserted the claw and rotated it. All three rings rotate and the wall drags down creating an entrance.

Going up the stairs, they now entered a large cavernous area with an elevated area with a curved wall with writing and a large chest and a sarcophagus.

"Is this it?" Edric asked, a little disappointed.

As the others converse to themselves Helios is staring at the word wall.

"Jacob?" Boscha asked him who was still staring at the wall.

"Jacob?" Olivia spoke.

"Het… nok… faal vahlok…" Jacob whispered.

"Jacob… you're scaring us." Skara said.

"Het nok…faal vahlok… deinmaar do…"

"Is he alright?" Sasha questions.

"I-I don't know?" Cat answered.

"HET NOK FaaL VahLOK DeiNMaaR DO DOVahGOLZ ahRK aaN FUS DO UNSLaaD RahGOL ahRK VULOM…" Jacob spoke out causing them to jump when he spoke as a glowing word and a stream of energy surrounded him.

"Jacob!" Boscha stepped back a bit at the moment.

"Here lies the guardian. Keeper of dragonstone. And a force of unending Rage and darkness…" Jacob translates the wall. "Fus… force…"

Then the sounds of something moving, they turn around and they see the sarcophagus opened and an armored draugr climb out.

"More draugr?" Olivia said as she prepared a spell.

"Fus…" the undead growls "Ro Dah!"

A wave of force pushes them off guard, and some of them fell on the ground and some stumble a bit but Sasha and Helios have their swords and striking the armor draugr.

It stumbled from the two strikes but it swung at Sasha and she blocked it. But she noticed her blades were covered in frost.

"That sword is enchanted with frost!" Jacob shouted to her as he cast flames at the draugr. It burned the undead a bit but is still standing.

"Fus… Ro-" the draugr didn't get the chance to use its power as Helios dropped his shield and grabbed a dagger on him and stabbed it into its throat.

With only one sword on hand, he is going to strike the undead. Then he felt something familiar with his movements, he then summoned his aedric spear but he's holding it like a sword.

Others watched in awe as he performed a flurry of swings and strikes on the draugr. And at the moment, with both arms Helios decapitated its head completely. He breathed a bit to calm himself a bit and grabbed the dagger on the floor.

"The way I move is familiar to me… but how…" Jacob thought as he looked at both his hands and clenched a bit.

(Helios used Ars Arcanum duel form)

"Is everyone alright?" Jacob asked the group who nodded that they are alright.

"What were those words you said?" Skara questions the Nord.

"I… don't know… it just came off naturally but…" Jacob sighed as he walked towards the chest and opened it.

Inside there are about 246 gold coins, an ancient Nord axe with fire enchantment, two rubies, and a stone tablet.

"It looks like the writing is the same on the wall… Helios?" Olivia said as he looked into it a bit.

"HET NOK UN MAHLaaN DROGGE ERei SULeyK SE ALDUIN VOKRii…" Jacob said in the unknown language.

"Uh… Jacob?" Edric asked.

"Oh… here lies our fallen lords until the power of Alduin revives…"

"Alduin?" Sasha questioned till Olivia realized something.

"Wait, you don't think that black dragon has anything to do with this?"

That brought some considerable attention to the group besides Sasha.

"We can ponder later, we have the claw, now we can return back to Riverwood." Jacob said.

With everything done, they climbed up the stairs to the left and found a hidden entrance to a small tunnel leading up to an open space. Turns out there are more things from the portals.

"What's all this stuff?" Sasha inspecting a large fission battery. Others are looking at the stuff and taking the stuff that looks of value.

Helios however is looking at a terminal for the first time typing the keys to do something. Something did happen as a holotape was ejected from the terminal and the screen was just blank.

With the tape on hand and the stuff, they exit out the Barrow and travel back to Riverwood.

Time skip

Riverwood

"Well I guess the quest is done." Jacob said as he weighed the pouch of gold in his hand as the others packed up their stuff onto the carriage.

"So…it's alright for me to join your group?" Sasha asked as she adjusted her new backpack with essentials.

"Yep, and after some thinking and talking with my cousins." Jacob then goes around as everyone who is here, Pokémon trainers, Witches, and his cousins. "I decided that it's time to reform our company of adventurers, the Helios Sunstriders."

"Well it's about time to get this show going." Mateo replied as he bring his pack to his shoulder.

"Guess more adventures will come to us soon." Makayla said.

"Alright then, but before that we're going to Whiterun, we need to warn the Jarl about the dragon attack and have troops to protect Riverwood." Jacob then climbed up the carriage and grabbed the reins. "Next up, my home, Whiterun."

And with that they leave Riverwood to their main destination. And where they meet the changes that happened while they were gone from Cyrodiil.

Windhelm

"My Jarl, it's good to have you back." A Stormcloak guard standing at the gate of Windhelm, spoke to the leader of the rebellion.

Ulfric Stormcloak.

To the Imperials, "The Killer of Kings", and the Stormcloaks, "The True High King of Skyrim".

"That it has, and we still have a lot of things to do." Ulfric said as he and a few of the surviving members from Helgen entered the gate and into the hold.

But as they entered the city, Ulfric's eyes widened at what he saw.

"Guard, what is the meaning of this?!" He demanded the guard for some answers. "My deep apologies, my King! But they arrived while you were gone and Galmar personally oversaw the matter himself of their stay. Things have been… Changing around here." What had caught Ulfric and now the attention of his surviving Stormcloaks, muttering among themselves or gaped at what they were seeing.

Around the ancient city of Windhelm were now not only new outsiders wandering around but there were now strange new lights set up that looked as if orb magic was shining out. Amongst the oddly dressed outsiders wandering were also ones that appear to be doing work within around Windhelm, Ulfric could see shops that were not there as he had remembered last and felt an arose of suspicion of what was being set up around his town.

"Ah you have arrived. You must be the true High King we've been hearing about so much." Ulfric's attention was drawn to the voice calling out to them, one of the outsiders was coming up to them and though some of his Stormcloaks were tensing up if he meant trouble, the factor they were not seeing their fellow Nords being too overly alarmed about these newcomers was filling them with questions.

The Outsider was wearing an outfit of design they did not recognize, black and appearing almost made from leather. He wore blue pants and black boots, strangely having chains wrapped from his shirt to one of his pant pockets. Strapped to his side was a holster containing something and they noted the axe hanging from his chain belt. Tall and heavily broadly shouldered, skin tanned and his face was gruffen, hardened features that told Ulfric quickly this was a hard survivor of a man. Black Hair done in a short mohawk, the purpose behind his brown eyes was telling Ulfric that this man was getting through in speaking out.

"Apologies that we couldn't have come at a sooner time when you were here but suffice to say… It's been getting mad out there. The names Regis, I'm with the Great Khans, your second in the command Galmar is waiting for you inside with the others, I think you'll get better answers than getting poor Gammar here with some stress." The name identified Regis, threw over a sympathy look over at the guard that had been speaking to Ulfric, Gammar in response let out a sigh of relief with Ulfric's back turn to him but he quietly did so.

"... Perhaps so 'Regis'. I'm gone only for a time and it's as if I've been gone for months for what I'm seeing here." Ulfric Stormcloak looked around further from his home, seeing further off his point as he stared over at a group of outsiders that were coming over their direction. All armored head to toe of a like Ulfric did not recognize, an blue clothing that was worn over by silver or black armor that was catching more of his attention as he noted the designs. Their faces covered by they're helmets barring T shaped visors.

"Seems like you've beaten me here Regis. Still, Su cuy'gar Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak! I am Kro Lann of Clan Lann, on behalf of the Death Watch, I hope to show that our presence will not be unwelcomed in place of warriors." Said out the leader of the group coming up to them, an male by his voice and figure, wearing differently colored from his Death Watch comrades in wearing silver armor with gold trims, a dark gray oversuit and an yellow cape over his right shoulder. His face is hidden by his helmet.

Regis gave a nod to Kro Lann. "Looks like we're traveling inside packedly. Lead the way if you wish Jarl Ulfric, I'll answer what questions you have on our way as Kro here sure will as well."

Ulfric decided it was best indeed to get all of his questions answered now.
