20. An Author's not so passionate lament

Alright guys I need a little help here.

I love Bloodlines. VTMB and Redemption are the reasons why I knew about the WoD. The Hunter The Reckoning games actually are another reason but it started with VTM.

To be honest with you though I kind of want to take this story down and re-post it with a slight change. That change being that Valentina, (Cillian's sire) doesn't get killed. Instead, the Camarilla capturing them was a front to throw off the Sabbat. That way, Cillian has his sire, and I can write this story with the freedom of not being stuck going through each area like in the game. However, Cillian would still be, for the most part, performing the tasks that LaCroix wants him to, simply because Valentina despite being Lasombra Primogen, owes LaCroix a boon as a result of siring Cillian without permission before being brought into the fold. I don't know if I want to go through all the rewriting though. I mean most of the story from the beginning would be the same but the stuff after Cillian's embrace was paced the way it was due to the knowledge I was going to have him in his current situation.

Another thing, Amy, as a character, was really only put into the story because I had just finished rewatching season 2 of the Netflix Punisher series and she is basically just that Amy, sorta. She's older in my story otherwise that shit with her at Confession's bathroom would have been questionable. Making her a Hunter I feel was a mistake. As much as I want to incorporate a lot of the aspects of WoD those systems in themselves weren't made to have constant cross-overs like some comic or fanfiction. Despite this being a Fanfic I am trying to make it more then just that. I started writing this story in the two weeks I had before I started a new job. When I got that job I stopped writing for months, then I came back and have been writing on and off for a little while. I've only released two chapters since, despite having changed jobs again since I had initially stopped in November. That, and now I'm apart of 4 different WoD games on Roll20. Two Dark Ages Vampire games, one 1800's Mage game and an Exalted game. Anyway, point is I feel like it makes less sense to have my experienced character in the position he is in now because it's limiting him to a point that is actually just annoying to write for. That and the whole name thing. I don't want him faking who he is and I don't want Amy to be a hunter anymore. In fact, I don't know that I want Amy to be apart of the story like she has been. Maybe scrap her all together I dunno I'm not going to be using her as things are currently for a long time. If anything, I should have made her a Tzimisce, or just left her as a ghoul but transfer her over to Cillian's domination. My initial plan for her was to be heavily involved with the Thin-Bloods, maybe even have a Dhampir kid but now I'm pretty sure that's not happening.

Maybe I should scrap this whole thing and just go back to what my initial idea was before I became enraptured with clan Lasombra and make this story but Cillian is a Thin-Blood. Or a Sabbat focus. I don't know. Anyway this is just an update so you can all understand where my thoughts are on this right now and why my updating has slowed down considerably.
