"Wait, come back! We're not gonna hurt you!" A female voice called out to the fleeing figure that turned into an alleyway and hopped over a turned over trashcan.
"Starting to consider it though." Another female voice said through gritted teeth, this making the person tense up, spotting a fire escape ladder and began to climb it.
"Not helping, Rayna.."
"Not trying to."
"Crap, they're catching up quickly.." They reached the top, hoisting themselves over to the roof and ran to the other side only to skid to a halt when the building across from the one they were on was further than they were comfortable with. Curly, black hair clung to their sweaty face and neck, a blue eye glancing behind them to see four figures standing on the other side, the clouded sky shadowing their appearance.
"Ok, girls, we gotta take it slow, he's very nervous." A calm, collected voice said to their group.
"Do you think Master Splinter will be upset when she finds out about this?" The voice from this one sounding quiet and nervous.
From the scene he saw beforehand things weren't going to end well if he went with them. He scanned the area for an escape but there was only one solution before him. Determination etched on his face, he pulled his cap to tighten around his head while stepping backwards, "Oh, looks like he's coming with us! Easy peasy."
"Wait a minute...He's making a run for it!" The angry one shouted, reaching for something at their side.
"How? There's nowhere to-OHMYGOSHHE'SGONNAJUMP!" The first one freaked out, all of them running after him and screaming for him to stop but, not listening to them, had already jumped.
Midair his smile began to grow thinking he was gonna make it only to fall mere inches from the roof. With a yell he reached out his fingertips grasping the corner trying to pull himself up but he began to slip, his eyes widening and let out a yell when he lost his grip and was falling til his body jerked feeling something wrap around his hand and looked up to see a chain. He tilted his head getting a glimpse of something green and orange only to look back at the chain when he was slipping once more and realized his hand was sweaty immediately lifted his head, staring into baby blue eyes in fear before falling to the ground, not even having enough time to yell but that didn't stop the girls from screaming and jumping down after him.
"Oh, man, now she's really gonna find out. We're as good as dead."
"We gotta help him! Hurry and grab a limb."
The muscular one groaned and picked him up by herself, all of them vanishing into the sewers.
His eyes slowly opened only to squeeze shut with a groan when he was greeted with a bright, naked lightbulb above his head, "Ughh, someone shut off the lights." He muttered hoarsely while trying to sit up only to hiss in pain not knowing whether to curl up from the pain in his body or hold his head from the pain in his head, "What happened.."
"It seems you have had quite the fall." A soothing, warm, woman's voice said from the shadows.
"Fall? Like, down the stairs? Did someone push me?" His eyes scanned the room, his body language tensing up when he wasn't home, in a hospital, or even anywhere familiar. In fact, the room looked like a science lab. "W-Where am I?"
"More like you tried to make a huge jump like Evel Knievel!" A short, bubbly, light green skinned turtle mutant popped up beside him, startling him to the point he almost fell out of the bed, with freckles under their baby blue eyes and wearing an orange mask tied in a large bow with knee and elbow pads.
"Yeah, except you totally botched it." Another turtle mutant, two inches taller than the hyper one with skin a lot darker green stepped forward wearing a red mask with tattered ends that fell over their shoulders around emerald green eyes, muscles that impressed him, and an open crack on the top left side of their flat plastron.
"Rayna, it's clear he's been through a lot, you need to be more considering." A third one appeared, looking to be an inch taller than the red one, her shade of green being a generic one, wearing a blue mask that reached their neck, and blue eyes.
He wasn't sure what to focus on, the talking turtles or the weapons they carried on their person. "Nope. Nopenopenopenopenope." He laid back down while pulling the cover over himself only to spring back up, instantly regretting it, grabbing his hair, "My hat! Where's my hat? I can't lose that!"
"Ha! He rhymed!" He heard the orange one giggle but ignored them, going back to searching for it, moving to climb out of bed only to freeze when a fourth, taller than the others, was in front of him wearing a purple mask that was tied in a limp bow, reddish brown eyes, foggy green color skin holding his cap in their hands, "I'm sorry. I needed to wrap your head, you banged it pretty hard when you fell. Here." She held it out to him with an apologetic smile that instantly calmed him down, "Oh, thanks, this is a special gift that means a lot to me." He went to put it on but instead set it down beside him, "So, I saw what I saw right? It wasn't a dream?" He stared at them, each giving a nonverbal answer of either looking away, twitching, or twiddling their fingers, making him close his eyes to reenact the scene in his head.
Making his way downtown, walking causally, his hands in his pocket with a blindfold dangling out of his pocket he slowed to a stop when he came upon a scene of walking turtles fighting women in suits who all look the same; twins maybe? He raised his brow only to blink when they threw a blonde-haired woman with green eyes and a young, red-haired boy around his age into a van but the costumed people were intervening. Sweat trickled down his face when saw two women sneaking up behind a tall turtle talking to the boy and charged forward, tackling one woman like a football player, only to blink in surprise when he felt as though he rammed into a metal wall and slowly looked up at her to see a neutral expression on her face, "Eh?" He let out a shout when they went to strike at him and bent backwards only for their hand to make contact with a wall and make a hand sized hole in the wall. His eyes widened shaking his head from the hole to the woman, "Heh, this is gonna be difficult.."
The woman ran at him, arms out to strike, but he dodged each attack, and when he had enough space between them spun around and did a high kick to their face but they were unphased and instead they grabbed his foot and threw him into the wall; making contact.
He dropped to the ground and slowly picked himself up while hissing in pain knowing that was gonna hurt tomorrow and looked up in time for the women to flee with the blonde-haired woman but the boy being rescued by the turtle things. While the two and the boy were distracted he slowly stood to his feet, grabbing his head for a moment and began to limp away, "Cassie isn't gonna be happy about this.." He muttered under his breath, "Hey, you! Stop!" He heard behind him and glanced back to see one of the turtles pointing a pointy weapon at him, this making him tense up and while ignoring the pain he began to run.
"Uhm...to an extent." The blue masked one said awkwardly while pressing her lips together in a line, "Perhaps some introductions are in order since we'll be seeing each other for some time. My name is Loretta, I'm the leader of our group." She smiled standing straight and with pride, having two swords strapped to her shell, "This is Rayna." She points to the one with crossed arms over their chest, two sais attached to her belt, who rolled their eyes and looked away from him.
"I'm Millie!" The short, hyper one startled him again by somehow popping in his view despite being next to the bed, the chain on her nunchuks clinking against their hips. He internally groaned, holding his head while feeling a headache coming. He blinked when he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over at the tall one with a staff giving him a concerned look.
"Mind if I look you over? You may have a concussion." He gave her a nod and turned to face her fully. While she was looking over his symptoms she moved his bangs out of his face and blinked in surprise to see his eyes were different colors, gasping softly.
"Uh..is that bad, Doc?"
"What? Oh, yeah, everything looks fine and my name is Deborah but Debbie is fine."
"Kaiden. Kaiden Sharper." He smiled at her making her blush, "So, can I have my face back?" He asked, she holding his face as they stared into each other's eyes. This made her face light up red and immediately drop her arms to her side, "Sorry, you look fi-I mean good- I mean healthy! You look healthy!" She turned around, her face feeling hot while her sisters snickered behind them.
"Sharper? As in Kevin and Rachel Sharper?" A tall rat with brown fur and black splotches around the face and chest area that isn't covered by a maroon red kimono stepped from the shadows, seeming to have been there the whole time.
"Uh, yeah, how do you know?" He asked suspiciously.
"I was human once, you know? I was a good friend of your parents; they helped me greatly and if I recall, I was your teacher once." She walked up to him a sincere smile on her face.
He looked at her face, squinting his eyes to remember and when their eyes met a flashback of his childhood, doing kickboxing with a tall, beautiful woman came to mind, both of them laughing when he fell on his butt from lifting his leg too high. "..Teach? You're alive!" He jumped out of the bed and put his arms around her in a tight hug, this brightening her eyes and lighting her smile up. "What happened to you?" He looked up at her with worry, taking a step back to look her over.
She sighed softly, her ears drooping in sadness, "There are things we need to discuss and if you would have us, you're welcome in our home anytime."
He nodded, following as she lead him to a Dojo with a full grown tree inside it, the turtles falling behind them.
Finally arriving inside the lair after wandering aimlessly through the sewers Kaiden breathed a sigh of relief at the semi fresh air and entered the home of his new friends/ old teacher. Upon entering the living room he saw a head of orange hair and blinked in surprise; recognizing the boy on the couch, "Hey, you're that boy the girls were trying to save that one night, you're ok." He smiled, his shoulders relaxing at the thought that their attempts weren't in vain but stopped when the guy looked down in sadness, "She's still being held hostage..she's my mom."
"Sorry to hear that..my name's Kaiden, by the way." He sat down next to him giving him a small smile while reaching his hand out. "Alan. Alan O'Neil." They shook hands, Alan giving him a smile in return, Kaiden feeling a friendship forming.
Kaidan was hanging out on the rooftop with Alan and Metalhead, a robotic creation of Debbie's that Loretta forced to stay behind due to it's clumsy nature and loud, attention grabbing movements. Biting into his burrito he glanced towards the two and raised a brow watching Metalhead stare at Alan only to look away when he thought she was looking at him but after the third time he was starting to get irritated. He lowered his food wondering if he should of stayed home when he blinked hearing Debbie say something, "So, you like heavy metal?" She asked with an awkward chuckle making him snicker quietly.
Debbie leaned towards the screen watching Kaidan set his burrito down and lean forward, hanging one arm over his leg that was pulled to his body, watching the pink lights flicker in the reflection of his blue eye, "Look at him. He's so handsome." She whispered with hearts floating around her, "With this monitor he can't tell I'm staring."
"You do know that's not muted, right?" Alan questioned staring at Metalhead.
Kaidan looked over hearing her trying to cover up her mistake and closed his eyes while pulling the lip of his cap over his eyes, thinking it was time to leave. Tossing his leftover food down in the dumpster below them and hopped off the ledge to leave when a pink laser zipped past where he was just sitting at. Frozen, wide eyed, thinking if he was there a second later he would of been a goner.
"Are you ok?" Alan and Metalhead asked. He nodded to them before looking down into the building the others were in, hearing Millie scream, "Ahhh, they're everywhere! Ruuuuuun!" and clenched his fist wanting to help but knew he would only get in their way; without a weapon at least.
It was when Debbie decided to help her sisters anyways that Kaidan knew it was time to leave; offering Alan a ride home.
Walking out the bathroom in a pair of shorts, drying his hair with a towel he turned on his stereo and played "Adventure" by Angels and Airwaves. Thinking of the night's events he moved the towel to around his shoulders and closed his eyes, singing along with the song.
"See? Just like I said." Millie whimpered beneath her sister's headlock, her eyes bugging out and her tongue sticking out, almost resembling her sister's stress ball.
"Good girl." Rayna grinned, dropping her but stopped when they saw Kaidan in nothing but a pair of shorts, singing.
They were able to get a good view of not only his muscles but the scars he received from the many fights he's encountered. This, with not only seeing his 90% naked body made the blood rush to Rayna's, Loretta's and Debbie's face. Debbie was in a pure trance, his voice like a sirens melody to her ears feeling as though he was singing to just her. Wait. He was staring at her. Right at her! She, Loretta, and Rayna tensed up like a cat only for Millie to pop up in front of them, waving happily to him. He ran his hand through his hair and smiled at them but stopped when he realized he wasn't decent and quickly unlocked the balcony door, "Be right back." He left to put a shirt on and came back explaining they needed to take a shower due to the sewer smell. While the three of the sisters were bathing, Kaidan sat with Debbie.
"Y-You have a nice singing voice." Debbie said shyly with a smile, staring down at her hands.
"Oh, thanks, I can also play the electric and bass guitar. Got the talent from my mom." He chuckled glancing at her, "How did it go with the Kraang?" He listened when she explained losing Metalhead. "Aw, I liked him, he was cool."
"You're cooler though." She whispered causing him to look at her, "Did you say something?" She immediately began to stutter and mumble. He watched her, a small smile coming to his face and reached over taking the back of her mask in his hand and placing it to his lips in a soft kiss, eyes closed. He opened his eyes halfway staring at the frozen, red, in awe Debbie before heading back inside, his smiling growing more hearing the softest squeak behind him.
Alan and Kaidan reached the lair to see the girls gathered around a poster board, Debbie fumbling with it when they announced their presence and smiled nervously their way, "H-Hey Alan. Kaidan."
Kaidan raised a brow at her reaction but thought nothing of it and began walking towards them while Alan was now in front of them revealing what he had found about the missing scientist. While everyone's attention was on that, curiosity getting the better of him, Kaidan inched away from the group to see what the fuss was about and saw a chart she made with the title; "Master Plan: Hang with Alan." This caused his brows to lift, feeling his heartbeat skip, but he wasn't sure why. He closed his eyes, leaving the room silently without anyone noticing unaware of the brownish red eyes watching him wondering why he left without telling anyone. Debbie looked down at the laptop pretending to be listening but her mind wandered back to the other night when he kissed the ends of her mask. Even though it wasn't physical contact the act alone brought warmth to her cheeks and a smile to her face; these feelings making her want to see him again and yet her mind keeps reminding her of Alan which is why she created this plan to help her decide who should she listen to? Her mind telling her to go with Alan or her emotions going for Kaidan. It was when Alan began to speak that it was time to bring her plan into motion, "Alan is right. We should check it out but what's that? You girls are busy? Guess it's just the two of us, Alan." She placed her hands on his shoulders to lead him out while looking back at her sisters giving them a thumbs up and a wink before they left.
Loretta chuckled to herself watching them go, "Heh, bet that wasn't on her flowchart. Woah, it is! That is spooky.."
"So, this was your plan all along!" Debbie stated.
"Of course. No man can defeat you when you know their every thought." Doctor Falco smiled wide, her dark red lipstick glistening with malice.
"Oh really? Then you know I'm gonna-"
"-Smack the white off my labcoat?" When the Doc finished Rayna's sentence she stared at her in shock til she snapped out of it and they began to fight but she wasn't getting any hits in for Falco was dodging her attacks; able to see every move she was going to make. One by one the sisters fell til it was just him, Debbie, and the Doc.
"A person who can read minds is unstoppable. Once I dispose of you two there will be no one to stand in my way."
Debbie reached to grab her weapon but Kaidan stepped forward, placing his hand on her shoulder, "I can handle this." He clenched his fists wearing the gloves that were given to him by his old teacher.
"Oh? Can you? By the looks of it, you may, but let me ask you something; Why would she-" Falco pointed to Debbie, "-Be interested in you when he has Alan to go to? Clearly he is far more intelligent than you, handsome as well, and what are you? Just a spoiled jock looking for attention." She smirked when his eyes widened hearing his doubtful thoughts and began to circle him, the clicking of her heels the only sound in the room. "Do you really think you have a chance with her? It's clear you're nothing to her but you two do have something in common; you're an outcast, a freak, just like her! Hidden from the world so no one will know who you are. Sniff, so sad." Falco gave a fake pouty face though it quickly changed to a giggle when his thoughts began to circle til they slowly began to fade then silence, this causing Falco's expression to drop slightly.
"Ok, Doc, here's what I'm gonna do to you; I'm gonna punch you in the gut then in your right cheek." He stood straight, giving his own right cheek a gently slap with the back of his hand, his blue eye darkening while taking a stance.
She read his mind to see he was indeed going for that and smirked when he began to move but instead of going for the gut punch first he punched her hard in her left cheek causing her eyes to widen in shock, stumbling to the side but quickly regained her senses and pulled out a hidden taser from her back pocket and used it on him. He yelled out in pain as electricity surged through his body before Falco used the back of it to hit him in the back of the neck hard enough to knock him out, his eyes trailing over to a shocked Debbie before the world went dark on him.
Waking up, his upper body lifted up as if Frankenstein's monster had come to life, looking at his surroundings to see he was in his own room and sighed in relief only to blink when a single muscle would randomly twitch on his body. As he climbed out of bed he could hear the girls playing video games and walked out of his room trying hard not to twitch to see they were indeed playing while enjoying some of his snacks. Thankful there was no sewage smell he went to join them but stopped when he saw Debbie on the balcony alone. Deciding to join her he closed the door behind him, noticing she didn't react to the sound, and placed his hand on her shoulder, this causing her to flinch and let out a startled sound, "O-Oh! Hey, Kaidan, you're awake. H-How're you feeling?"
He shrugged her way and began to climb to the roof, "Twitchy, I suppose? Heh. Hopefully it goes away soon." When he got to the roof she was already there waiting for him, helping him before he sat next to her. He let out a sigh when the cool breeze hit his skin, starting to relax til he noticed something felt off around them and figuring it had something to do with the Doctor Falco incident he opened his mouth to speak but to his surprise, Debbie spoke first, "When she called you a freak..it made me so mad! I've lived all my life knowing I was but when she had the nerve to say that about you..I wanted to punch her so hard because she knows nothing about you, not how kind or normal you've treated my sisters and I that when you stood up to her and caught her by surprise; it was amazing!"
He stared at her in surprise, blushing softly with a smile twitching the end of his mouth, and let out a huff through his nose while relaxing his shoulders, "Thanks, Debbie, for everything." He moved to leave but paused for a moment to lean over giving her a quick peck on the cheek and began to climb down not before looking her way to see her frozen, touching where he kissed her, a goofy smile slowly appearing. Nodding to himself from her reaction he left her be, "Maybe one day you'll tell her. Perhaps." He muttered, smiling while entering his home and joining the others making sure they didn't beat his high score.
The day was full of events from Alan being hunted by a pigeon to said pigeon warning he and the others that his mother was being held captive in one of their facilities and that they were going to set off a bomb in the middle of the city then once the girls were inside the building in an attempt to rescue Mrs. O'Neil only for their plan to fail; Mrs. O'Neil staying behind to give the girls a chance to escape.
"-I cannot work with all of this pressure!" Debbie shouted til they froze when Kaidan flew past them, they turning their heads to see Xeva and Crystal Bradford come into view.
Xeva had her brown, afro style hair up in two tight buns wearing a baggy, black, leather jacket, white bandana crop top, blue bell bottoms and black steeled toed shoes. "Hello ladies and handsome." She smirked at the girls before her eyes trailed over to Kaidan while he picked himself up, dusting off his clothes, looking him up and down.
"Um..that might be a problem." Lore looked from Kaidan, making sure he was ok, then to the foes before them. Debbie noticed Xeva eyeing Kaidan and narrowed her eyes, her frown deepening.
"Keep it together." Crystal Bradford groaned while rolling her eyes and lifting her upper lip in disgust, "We have a job to do." She punched her fist into her palm wearing a blue jean vest, tank top underneath, snug blue jeans, and brown boots along with a large, gold medallion around her neck, matching belt buckle, and brown, leather gauntlets; her long brown hair in a high ponytail.
Kaidan helped the guys out with Xeva and Bradford while Debbie stayed behind to work on the bomb and when Bradford went to go for her Kaidan intervened punching at her with a set of combos but she dodged each attack. When she went for her own he bent backwards, Millie flying over him and kicking her in the face, Kaidan dropping low to the ground and kicking his foot under hers, forcing her onto her back. He stood straight, lifting his leg high, and went to bring it down on her gut but she blocked it using her arms, grabbed his foot, and tossed him aside.
"You guys picked a really bad time for this!" Lore shouted, blocking one of Xeva's kicks then got some distance between them.
"Oh, I'm sorry for the inconvenience," Xeva cooed sarcastically, "When would you prefer to breathe your last breath?" She smirked, twirling her butterfly knives in her hand.
"If that thing goes off it'll wipe us all out!"
"I'd rather perish with honor than live in shame!" Bradford yelled before Kaidan jumped over Ray's shell, slamming his fist into her face. For some reason what she said ticked him off.
"So to sum up we kicked the butts of the Kraang and Shredder's top henchmen while defusing a bomb and saving the city." Lore said with a smile.
"We're not overconfident."
"We're just that good." Lore finished Ray's thought, grinning at each other til they all whooped excitedly, high-threeing.
Kaidan stared down into the darkness where their enemies fell clenching his fists when the feeling something was wrong came back stronger than before, "It's not over.." He whispered, sweat sliding down his face.
"Your skills are impressive."
He froze, a chill running up his spine and his breath catching in his throat as if a snake was slithering up his back and around his neck, all of them turning to their attention to the tall woman in shiny, silver, sharp armor with knives on her gauntlets and shoulders, staring down at them from her high point her visible eye cold and emotionless, "But they will not save you."
"Oh man..do you think that's..the Shredder?" Debbie gulped nervously, her voice cracking some.
"Well, it's definitely A Shredder." Ray said her eyes darting to her sister for a milisecond then back to Shredder as she dropped down, calmly walking up to them.
"There is undoubtedly a fascinating story of how my old nemesis came to train the art of ninjitsu to four mutant turtles. Perhaps I will let one of you live long enough to tell it."
After Millie's failed attempt at an escape Shredder charged at them, Ray following suit with her sais out and at her side; their second battle commencing.
The sisters were struggling with Shredder, she clearly being on another level than them, and watching it in action had Kaidan frozen in place.
Her movements were precise, deadly, and calculated yet he could feel the bloodlust and sheer anger from where he stood. Staring down at his hand to see it trembling and aside from his shaking body it would not listen to his thoughts to help them for it kept screaming "Danger!"
It was when Millie got the upperhand, trapping Shredder with her chains tied to the sign that he let out a shout in excitement til Shredder cut herself free, slashing the sign as well, a piece of the it falling on Millie. He called out her name in horror watching as Shredder stalked towards the girls trying to free their little sister and with fists clenched he took a step towards them his eyes darkening, "NOW."
Just as Shredder raised her weapon she flinched hearing someone shout, "GET AWAY FROM THEM!" before she was tackled from the side by Kaidan. She dropped to the ground in surprise at the sudden contact but quickly composed herself, now crouched to one knee she narrowed her eyes at her next opponent who stood between her and the mutants, "I won't let you hurt them any more." He put on his gloves that were given to him by Splinter while taking a stance. Shredder stood to her feet and did the same before they both charged each other.
Through the eyes of the turtles it was as though they were on par with each other for Kaidan was able to match Shredder's speed but he was taking more of a beating despite his retaliation to her attacks; she receiving some wounds as well. She kneed him in the stomach spitting out blood and saliva while the air was knocked out of him and when his body tried to regain balance she punched him square in the face, the force and pain causing him to close his eyes, and when he did so he could see her moving for another punch so he tilted his head to the side and grabbed her arm while opening his eyes and pulled her down to his level, slamming his forehead into hers. They both stumbled backwards but he forced himself to stay on his feet running at her again. Shredder was starting to get impatient, a low growl coming from her throat, taking a step back to dodge his charge and grabbed the back of his shirt, flinging him towards the turtles but he caught himself by planting his hands and feet on the ground, the cement scraping against his fingers.
He ignored the pain he was feeling for the only thought on his mind is keeping Shredder from hurting his friends, hoping that they had fled by now. With one last yell he charged her with his fist raised in the air but by now Shredder was frustrated from how long the fight had lasted and with a yell of her own, punched him right in the gut releasing her blades into his body as well. Kaidan's body jolted, eyes wide in shock slowly trailing down to see the blades and soon began to feel light for Shredder had lifted him off the ground, staring right into her eyes.
The turtles screamed his name, running to save him, but he could hear nothing for his attention was on Shredder. Without thinking he gathered the blood in his mouth and spit it into her eyes causing her to yell out and throw his body away, sending him to the edge of the roof and began to wipe away the blood, the girls taking this opportunity to flee. When she was finally able to see she saw her minions now mutated and the turtles and boy gone; this making her yell in rage.
His body shook as though a surge of electricity went through his body, gasping for air, and his eyes darting in their sockets as his mind tried to register where he was while trying to calm himself from the nightmare he woke up from unaware of the blaring noises around him til a door bursted open on his side and a familiar person ran inside; Jeremy Rodriguez, his personal doctor, "Kaidan!? What's wrong?!" He was soon at his side checking his vitals and it was when Kaidan saw his good friend that the tears began to fall, placing his hand over his eyes, "My friends...I-I couldn't protect them.." He bit his lip to try and keep it in but the tears fell anyways.
Jeremy stared down at him letting out a sigh and once he had checked that his vitals were stable sat down next to him, placing his hand on top of his head, "It's ok, it was just a nightmare." He said in a calm, soothing tone while stroking his head to calm him down, letting him cry himself tired. Watching him sleep his mind wandered to meeting the female creatures carrying a bleeding Kaidan to himself personally, the one wearing a purple mask in tears and asking him to take care of him. He sighed while removing his glasses and rubbed at his eyes, "What did you get yourself into, kid?"
It had been weeks while Kaidan was in recovery and was just now permitted to walk though right now he thought it best to be where he was; sitting on the window sil leaning against the glass staring idly at the people below while his mind wandered back to the girls wondering if they were ok, breathing a thoughtful sigh through his nose.
"If I didn't know any better it sounds like someone is in love." A male voice said behind him.
Kaidan turned around and his eyes lit up to see his brother leaning against the doorway. He being almost as tall as the doorway he had to tilt his head some, his long, thin, black hair falling over his shoulders to follow it's movement covering half his face, his deep set blue eye visible. He had a smile on his thin lips, happy to see his little brother only for it to falter watching as he struggled to stand to his feet seeing the seconds of pain on his face, "You should stay rested if it's hurting you this much." He said calmly but didn't stop him from completing his task.
"I need to get my walking done anyways. Are you here for work?" Despite the pain he still was glad to see his family as well.
"Not exactly. Jeremy called mom and dad and told us what happened," this got Kaidan to tense up, "You got jumped on your way home." Kaidan sighed internally but stopped seeing the look in his brother's eyes and gave his arm a nudge with his arm, "Hey, you should see the other guys, they'll think twice before messing with me." He grinned hoping to cheer his brother up, it widening when his shoulders relaxed, he gesturing they move to the bed.
"So where are mom and dad anyways?" Kaidan was helped on the bed by Sam who sat opposite of him on the chair, "Talking with Jeremy right now. They should be in here shortly." He took out his pack of cigarettes, giving it a gentle tap against his palm where a single stick popped up and leaned towards it placing it between his lips before leaning backwards with his eyes closed, "I know this is a non smoking area. I wasn't going to light it." He said, feeling his brother's peering eyes on him sensing his lecturing aura only to relax when he heard the door open..til he sighed when he instantly heard his mother.
"Kaidan! Kaidan, sweetie!" A 6'2 woman wearing her band's logo on a tank top, leather crop jacket, waist high shorts and leggings that attached with suspenders and heeled calf boots, her long, black hair swinging behind her with her rapid movements, embracing her youngest son in her arms, "It hurts to see you looking like this!" She cried while kissing the top of his head.
"Now, now, calm down, dear, we wouldn't want to distress him more than he already is." A 5'8 male wearing a white, button down, long sleeved top, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, having his dark blue dress coat hanging over his arms, matching suit pants, and black shoes. He patted his wife's back but even he was concerned for his son, looking at him and giving his head a gentle stroke, "How you feeling?"
Once his mom had calmed down Kaidan leaned back into his bed and sighed, "I'm awake and I'm not hurting as much but I'm still sore." He gave them a smile to ease their worries and soon they were hanging out as a family should.
After they left for their hotel Kaidan walked to the roof garden and closed his eyes wondering how the girls were doing til his thoughts were interrupted by the sound of uncovered motors. He groaned, wondering what biker gang was the cause of it only to see, "The girls...on go-karts?" He raised a brow but had a half smile on his face.
Grabbing their attention through a phone call they surrounded him, each giving him a hug, "It's gonna be awhile before I'm released but I'm glad to see you're doing well, can't say I haven't missed you guys." He smiled at each of them.
"Good, cause it's not as much fun kicking butt without you..but it's still pretty fun." Ray smirked while giving his shoulder a light punch making him chuckle, "When I'm released we'll have pizza gyoza, my treat."
He gave them one more hug before they left but Debbie stayed in front of him, shyly rubbing at her arm while stuttering and stammering trying to find the right words to say, "Look, when-" She blinked when a shadow blocked her light and lifted her head in time for Kaidan to plant a kiss on her lips. A few seconds later he took a step back, his cheeks red, "I like you, Debbie, and I don't want to lose you. Watching you guys fight Shredder..I did nothing but watch..until she cornered you all. I felt so much anger at the thought of losing you and your sisters; you guys have been the best thing that has happened to me. Seeing you or them not in my life...it's something I can't imagine."
She stared at him, mouth agape, once again trying to find the words to say but all she could hear was her inner voice screaming for her brain to think of something.
"If you have no objections..I'm going to kiss you aga-" Debbie moved in front of him, smacking her lips into his awkwardly and with a little too much force but he kept his balance and leaned into it, eyes closed.
When she left him he stood there alone to collect his thoughts, unable to stop the sheepish yet excited grin on his face, feeling his cheeks warming up again.
I tried so hard..to fit the first season into one chapter..so much stuff had happened. So many paragraphs. Too many words! Ahhhhhhhh! Anyways, I decided to keep it short and simple because it's obvious that you won't get the same emotion as you would with the original due to all the cuts (plus it's basically a copy and paste with just a gender swap so there's no need to go all out for it.) If you want to see other characters gender swapped then let me know. Reviews are nice but so are hugs and I take both.
