AN: Hi everyone! Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen some of your usernames. It brings me so much joy to see a lot of you reading the latest update. I had a lot of life happen over the last 3 or so years before I updated last night. Just know it may take me forever to start writing but once I start I'm hard to stop. Hopefully you enjoy this short chapter! I'll hopefully be back updating the same time tomorrow. My now 4 year old son is on a pretty consistent sleep schedule :)

Where on the creator's Earth is PAUL. If that dipshit is out with some bimbo again missing patrol I am going to throw in the towel and give up… Obviously I'm the worst ever Alpha in Quileute history if I have not one but two of my wolves missing from patrol. SIMULTANEOUSLY. AGAIN.

Everything had been a complete shitshow since Embry shacked up with Bella and embarrassed our petulant wannabe leader. All I know is he is no Billy Black, and this BS must've come from his mom's side. Because he is a spoiled rotten brat. He has almost ruined our pack dynamic, our tribal reputation, and a family in the span of a few months.

I phased in to go find the dumbasses. I could not be more sick of this if I tried. Managing this many young men had to be categorized as impossible.. Brothers my ass.

Jared was still phased in searching and searching for his brothers. Neither were connected to the mind link, but Jared couldn't shake the feeling something was really wrong. He had smelled Paul was on the way to Forks and randomly headed west, no rhyme or reason and then his trail went cold. I saw these images running through the pack mind and I was so confused, Maybe Paul finally had enough of Jake's shit and headed out of town. I just figured Paul wouldn't be capable of breaking the pack bond, especially not without a single other wolf noticing. Maybe Jake did notice and that's why they were both missing. Whatever it was one of them or BOTH were going to pay.

I headed to Billy Black's house and told Jared to keep heading west, maybe there was some clue we could find to figure out where Paul had gone. I reached the quaint little home with the newly built wheelchair ramp glistening with fresh dew. I felt an eerie feeling and could tell the place was empty… which was odd, unless he as fishing with Charlie or at the Community center Billy pretty much was a homebody.

I walked quickly up the ramp not even attempting to hide my shifter speed. I was smelling, searching, listening for any clue until it hit me like a ton of bricks. I scented that bittersweet stench on the steps of Billy's house.. Leech. How the fuck had a leech gotten on the Rez unnoticed and why the fuck were they at our Chief's house of all places. This couldn't be real. What. The. Hell. Is going on. Then it hit me. I needed to alpha order them all back. I hated to show my force against to reign them in. But it was getting out of control.

Jared, Seth, Quil, Leah, and I all showed up to the back of the Black's house quickly. Fuck. How had that not worked? Next, I figured I'd try the next best option. "If any of you know the reason for two protectors missing from Quileute land without a trace you need to spill and do it now." I glared at everybody, the nice guy approach was not cutting it anymore. Quil looked like he was about to sick to his stomach trying to keep information in. "I'm ordering you Ateara or so help me creator I will sock you in the face right here and now."

Quil's big frame looked slight and meek next to Sam as he started to spill his guts. "I saw Jake with some vampire I had never seen before it it it was some dude named Victor, I heard whispering to him saying he was going to get that bitch out of Washington. I wasn't sure who was talking about. I know Jake has been a dick lately but I never would have imagined he meant Bella. I - I only knew it was Bella because I think Paul saw the interaction too and he ran straight for Forks… No one else we know besides Charlie lives there… So I kinda put two and two together. If he's with a vampire with powers I don't think we can connect with him in the mind link."

I grew redder and redder and angrier and angrier. That kid Jake is seriously deranged, demented, and out of his mind. I may have hurt the poor girl I loved but at least I wasn't going to ever harm her. What the hell had he done? Has she been harmed? Killed? Kidnapped. All I know is in a whirl I screamed, "Start tracking Bella's scent NOW. NOW"

Embry

All of a sudden I heard a deep howl. Paul was so wounded by what he had heard from the vampire he attempted to dart into the woods but then he saw his little sister Bella. Sitting at his feet for protection as Josiah and my guys stood at an impasse with the other vampire. Cornering in on him for further information. The vampire shifted his eyes to left where I caught glowing green eyes in the dark.

I yelled, "If you all are here to cause problems my tribe and I will detain you and bring you back to your rez and for a mis grievance this big never let you the hell out again." With these words a massive black wolf moved to the front. Ah, Sam, the head idiot. "Shift now, we have to talk." Josiah commanded from beside me.

Sam grunted as his human form took shape. Completely naked. Someone from his pack threw a pair of cut offs in his direction.

He grunted, "How the hell did you force one of us to shift, let alone the alpha?" He glared seemingly distraught with all the new things going on. His eyes shifted to Paul and Bella. His mind reeling with questions I imagined. Josiah spoke to him calmly as Chris caught the vampire by the arm as he attempted to escape in the confusion. "Not so fast, cold one. Our tribe won't let your mis grievances go so easily. I would not try that again if I were you. You'll be burnt to the crisp after I'm done scalding my fellow spirit warrior here." He took a deep breath, grounding himself into the Earth, seemingly seeking guidance or strength, I wasn't quite sure.

But he quickly spoke again, "Samuel. You have lost your way. So blinded by who was supposed to lead that you let everyone down. Including Miss Swan over there. Your ancestors are so deeply disturbed and disappointed in you. If it weren't for young Lahote here and that Jared boy they would simply strip you of all your powers. But they know how much good you did with protecting before they wanted to give you one last chance. I'm glad you've risen to the occasion. I hope you know that when Young Jacob Black is found he will be punished to the fullest extent for this. He will be stripped of his title and his claim. He destroyed everything we hold sacred by dealing with our enemy to harm a blessed member of our tribe. My boys will take care of this cold one now that we know who is to blame for the kidnapping and injuring of Miss Swan. Step aside and do not attempt to intercede Creator has blessed it."

Josiah looked at me as my sweet girl looked at me, the tension higher than I could've ever imagined. I saw her beautiful lips mouth I love you right as Josiah spoke again. "My son it's time for you to do what you trained for. It is your mate and your duty." He nodded as Chris forced the vampire to kneel and Mac came over to grab his other arm. Colt stood in the background ready to aid if needed. I knew it wouldn't be necessary. I walked behind the vampire and in one cold motion snapped his neck in half. His limbs ripped by my fellow brothers. I could hear the wolves astonished in the background. Seth whispered to his sister, "they can do THAT?!" A match was quickly lit and thrown on top of both the vampire's remains. The smoke rising high into the night sky as Bella ran to me.

I cooed, not caring how unmanly it seemed to have my girl back in my arms. "K'wo'pat are you okay? I was so worried about you and I couldn't find you. I almost had a heart attack. You told me you loved me, I saw it. Please know I love you more than is humanly possible. You give me strength to the best man I can be." She cuddled close to me and whispered, "I knew you'd come for me babe, you've never let me down and you never would. I love you. You're everything I could've ever wanted."

Josiah spoke again, disrupting our moment together. "Everybody, we have to find Jacob Black and his father Billy. This cannot go unpunished. I have an idea where he is but will need to walk with the spirits to make sure for certain. We have to protect Billy from the devastation he'll feel learning of Jacob's actions. He never left La Push. Lets all head back and right all the wrongs that have been done here tonight. Our ancestors cannot have us at war any longer." With that he seemed to disappear into the tree line.
