Once they landed in front of the house, Eda guided Luz to the door before it suddenly talked to them.

"What's the password? Hoot." It said, making Luz point her empty uzi at it on reflex.

"What the hell is that thing?!" Luz asked.

"Relax, it's just my security system." Eda said as she gestured to the door, mainly the round owl head in it. "A house demon."

"My name is Hooty! Hoot!" Hooty said.

"This place is just getting weirder and weirder." Luz said as she put her gun away.

"You'll get used to it, if you decide to come back after tonight." Eda said before turning to Hooty. "Now let us in Hooty before I jab you in the eyes again."

Hooty did as told and opened the door, mumbling something about never wanting to have any fun.

"Anyway Luz, welcome to the owl house!" Eda said as she snapped her fingers, turning on all the magic candles to light the inside of the house. "This is where I hide from the stresses of modern life... and the cops... and ex boyfriends... and my sister, but that's besides the point."

"I suppose. So where's this friend of you that you got the crown for? They live here with you?" Luz asked Eda as she looked around the house.

"Yes, he does. Let me call him down." Eda said as she pulled the paper crown out of her hair. "KING! I've got a present for you!"

The ground started shaking, making Luz nervous... until this two pound demon walked around the corner.

'That's him?!' Luz thought with wide eyes.

"Present?! What is it?!" King asked in excitement.

"You remember this?" Eda asked, holding the crown.

"MY CROWN OF POWER!" King shouted as he ran up to Eda, taking the crown from her! "Finally! My powers, they're returning!"

"You better enjoy it." Eda said as she groaned, heading to the stairs. "I have to go make a call, talk to the Human for a while, she got the crown back for you."

Human?" King asked before finally noticing Luz.

"Yeah, me. Hi." Luz said, trying not to gush over how cute King was. "I'm the one who got your crown back."

"Then you are now my loyal subject! Only a strong warrior could have performed such a feat!" King said as he walked up to Luz, patting her leg.

Luz chuckled, but played along. She got on a knee and bowed.

"Such an honor from a noble leader." Luz said.

"Yes I am! Now follow me, subject! I shall show you my army of evil!" King said as he pointed to the side of the room.

"With pleasure, my king!" Luz said, chuckling a bit and feeling so...free right now.

Free like a little kid playing in the park, a feeling she hadn't known in a long time. Luz and King went off to greet King's army, which turned out to be dozen upon dozens of stuffed animals while Eda was making her scroll call upstairs.

"The things I do for that kid." Eda said, looking at the card Wrath gave her.

He said to call him within the next two hours, so Eda wanted to get this done as quickly as possible and set this date up already. Maybe if she was lucky, Eda might actually ENJOY this date. Though, she doubted it.

'Whatever, free food.' Eda thought.

She put the number in and waited for his answer, only ringing about twice before the Warden answers her call.

"Hello, this is Wrath Bringson." Wrath said over the scroll.

"Hey, Wrath, it's Eda." Eda said a bit low.

"Eda! So glad you called so soon! I was just about to make the reservations for our date." Wrath said with glee.

"Great!" Eda said, with false joy. "Can I learn where so I can make sure to dress appropriately?"

"I'd like to make it a surprise but you don't have to wear anything fancy. Just being yourself is enough." Wrath said to her, being sincere.

"Well, that makes things easy." Eda said, a bit surprised but accepting it. "When is it?"

"How does this Saturday do for you?" Wrath asked Eda.

'Dammit, I got nothing planned on that day!' Eda thought.

Still, a free dinner.

"That's fine." Eda said with a small groan.

"Excellent. We can meet up near that potions shop in town before heading to the restaurant. Have you been to Morton's before?" He asked her.

"Yes, I have." Eda said with a nod, knowing her go to potion shop for...certain mixtures.

"Great, see you then!" Wrath said to her before the called ended.

Eda put her scroll away and groaned, dragging her hand down her face.

"I'm a woman of my word, and I hate myself for it." Eda muttered.

Eda would need a LOT of apple blood to help forget this night and maybe forget she had to date a coven warden.

'You did it for King, you did it for King, you did it for King.' She thought to herself.

Speaking of King, Eda had to check on him to see how he was getting along with Luz. Going back downstairs, Eda saw the two of them sitting on the couch and just talking. To say she was surprised, would be an understatement as they go along even better than she thought they would. Like blood and guts.

"Show me again how you gutted your enemies!" King shouted in glee.

"Well, it was something like this." Luz said before using her knife to demonstrate memories from past purges, it wasn't as painful or guilt inducing with King's positive energy about it. "I took out my knife and stabbed him several times in the stomach before slowly dragging it up towards his heart."

"Did they scream in agony?!" King asked Luz.

"Yeah, he did." Luz admitted but it gave her shivers at the memory.

She'll have to expect more of those now that she's turned a new leaf from purging anymore.

'I vow, from this day on, I will only kill in self defense.' Luz thought to herself.

"And did you steal anything cool before?!" King asked her.

"Tons of stuff actually." Luz said as she put her knife away. "If I had to pick the best though, it would have to be the twenty grand I stole in jewelry."

"What's a grand?" King asked as Eda walked in to pay attention.

"It means I stole 20,000 dollars worth in jewelry." Luz said to them.

"20,000?!" Eda asked in shock.

"Hey, I have to pay for college eventually. The fees go up every year." Luz said to them.

"College?! Fee! I never went to college and look at me now!" Eda said with a smirk.

"Yeah, you're a wanted criminal with dozens of exs." King said before giggling.

"You're really gonna judge me since you never went to school?" Eda asked him with a glare.

"I am a King! I do whatever I want!" King said as he crossed his arms.

Eda rolled her eyes before she looked at Luz, who was texting on her phone.

"Key, Kid, what are you doing?" she asked.

"I'm... texting my mom. I'm explaining that I... won't be back for a while." Luz said as she looked up to Eda.

"So, you're staying here?" Eda asked, surprised at Luz changing her mind.

"Yeah, she was right. Purge night was changing me, I'm just telling her that I'm going to go...find myself, but I'll keep texting her." Luz said as she put her phone away.

"Well, okay, and if you want you're happy to stay here as long as you like." Eda said as she knelled down to put a hand on Luz's shoulder.

"Thanks it's... it's nice here." Luz said as she smiled at Eda.

'I learned what I was becoming from the Purge but what will I become now?' Luz thought.

One day, she's a purge loving, pro-purge teenage, but now she's officially an ex-purger thanks to running after an owl into another dimension. It sounds crazy but maybe that was something Luz needed to get her head on straight. Of course, she didn't tell her mom that. She just told her that she realized her mom was right and went somewhere that can help her find herself again. She promised to be back and that she'll text regularly, even providing a selfie to show that this was actually her and not someone who killed her and stole her phone.

"Maybe next year, instead of purging, I'll go to the bar that's open." She said aloud.

There was this place that has been declared an 'Unofficial Safe Zone' people both in the purge and out of it go there to enjoy some calmness in the crazy night. Luz has gone a couple times with some purge buddies.

"A bar? You can drink?" Eda asked with interest.

"Like I said, anything is legal on purge night." Luz said to her.

"Well, lucky me. I got a drinking buddy now." Eda said before pointing upstairs. "But first, let me show you where you can sleep while you stay here."

Luz and Eda, followed by King, headed upstairs to a small walk-in closet that Eda had for random storage but it was enough to for her to live in.

'All I need now is a bed.' Luz thought before she looked around, finding a sleeping mat in the corner. 'That'll do for now.'

Luz laid the mat in the middle of the room and went undressed from her purge outfit, well her normal outfit for now in this world for now, while setting her weapons in a trunk inside of the room.

"Well, this is my home for the foreseeable future." Luz said, gesturing to the whole walk-in closet.

"Don't worry. You'll fit right in here." Eda said as she tussled Luz's hair. "Everyone's a little weirdo here in some way. Pus, we can go the the local bar and see your drinking limit is."

"Me too!" King said with his arms up.

"You don't drink, King." Eda said to him as she left the room.

"I can learn!" King said to her.

Luz chuckled at their dynamic before laying her head down to sleep, before noticing King hadn't left.

"You staying?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, I am. This sleep mat looks comfortable." King said as he curled up at the foot.

Luz didn't argue with him as she closed her eyes and let sleep take over. The emotional revelation today had been a lot on her and it hit Luz all at once as she fell asleep almost instantly.
