Julieta caught up with Gemma. They started walking back to the Casita together. "I think Pepa is lying about not sleeping with Santiago," Gemma said. "The way she was blackmailing him sounded like there might be a sex tape."
"Takes a skank to know a skank," a voice said. It was Lola Gonzales, Santiago's cousin. "Tell Julieta what you were doing last night when you said you had a late shift. I didn't know having a late shift meant frenching half of the Encanto."
"I stopped by Mateo's party after work," Gemma muttered. "I had a few drinks. Nothing happened."
"Nothing is all over the internet," Lola said.
"Shut up, Lola," Julieta yelled.
"Can't handle your precious friend is a precious little whore?" Lola asked. "Pepa isn't the only one who changed. I would keep this one far away from Agustín unless you have an open relationship."
"I told you to shut up," Julieta yelled. Just then, a ball hit Lola in the back of the head.
"Ow," Lola shrieked.
"Are you okay?" Julieta asked. However, when she reached for Lola, the world seemed to rewind a few seconds.
"I would keep this one far away from Agustín unless you have an open relationship," Lola taunted. Julieta noticed the stray ball and yanked Lola out of the way. "That thing almost hit me. You saved me."
"You're welcome," Julieta said.
"Well, you also ruined my shirt," Lola said. Of course, it wasn't going to last long. "Now, it's all wrinkly. I need to go home and change. I'll probably also take a shower since your hands were on me."
Lola walked out. "Adiós, señora chupa mucha polla," Lola said.
"Are you okay?" Julieta asked.
"I don't know," Gemma said.
"Here," Julieta said. "I will walk you home."
Julieta sat in her room, testing out if she could rewind time. She would drop a book and then rewind time to before it happened. Each time, Julieta was successful. Agustín was in the shower, so Julieta tested this alone.
"Hey, Juli, dinner is ready," Bruno said as he entered the room. Julieta rewinds before Bruno enters the bedroom. "Hey, Juli, dinner is ready."
So, I do have time travel powers. Julieta thought. Now what?
