"Look what came in the mail!" JJ screamed as she walked through the front door.
"What" both girls replied.
"Your court date for your adoption!" JJ exclaimed.
"When is it?"
"It's in a couple of weeks"
Both girls were excited to finally have a real family. Emily and JJ were the parents they dreamed of having. This had been a long journey for both girls, each having their own ups and downs.
"We should have a party!" Emily exclaimed, Lily and Charlotte agreeing.
"Yea, we could have the whole team over and your friends!" Emily and JJ replied.
A few weeks later
"So how does it feel to be a Prentiss-Jareau?" Rossi asked the girls.
The girls giggled, "It feels pretty great to me" Charlotte replied.
"I would like to make a toast" Lily said as she got everyone's attention.
"I just want to say thank you to all of you for being here and supporting me and my sister. I don't know where I would be today without all of you guys here today. I especially want to thank Emily and JJ for being the best parents you could ask for. They came into this whole parenthood thing with not a clue on how to do anything, but they somehow made it work. With their busy schedule, they still found time for me and my sister to feel loved. They made me feel loved even when I didn't believe it was possible and they helped me and Char heal from the unimaginable. And although me and my sister still have some ways to go, I know I have them to help me through this process. Once again thank you all for coming and thank you Emily and JJ for letting us be apart of this amazing family." Lily finished.
The two profilers came to give the girls a hug with tears of joy in their eyes, the girls had finally found their family.
Hi everyone! I hoped you enjoyed my first fanfic. I wanted to go ahead and end this story here since I have forgotten where I wanted to take this story. I started this almost a year ago and unfortunately due to my busy schedule, was unable to keep this story going. To be honest, I didn't think that I would get this far, I feel like two years ago I started reading fanfiction for the first time and reading all those stories made me want to write some myself. However, I didn't realize the amount of work you have to put into writing a good story and I was also never a good writer to begin with. I never had an outline or concrete plan for this story, so it never really seemed to flow. I would just simply sit down, write, and publish without any proof reading. Maybe one day I can come back to this and fix everything because I truly do love this story and the characters, but I don't think it's fair to keep you all in the dark for months without an update and motivation for this story is at an all-time low. I hope to write more this summer if I have time, maybe a Fosters fic or SVU fic so I can take a break from the Criminal minds. Once again, thank you for reading and I hope to be able to write more soon.
