It would be amazing just pm me if you want to take a crack at it, I feel this story needs a cover. Thanks guysss here's chapter 4!

Morning came around and both boys felt more refreshed than they have before. Eiji quickly went and took a shower returning to his room to find Nich sitting at his desk dressed in a pair of light pinstriped grey pants and a white tank top. His purple hair spikey and slightly longer than normal on the right side but buzzed really short on the left. His orange eyes came up to meet Eiji's blue as he stopped from sharpening one of his oxtail saber blades.

It was about 26 inches long and had an elegant curve from tip to handle. Eiji remembers Nich telling him about the process. He folded a piece of damascus seventy-three times splitting it in half and refolding each side thirty two more times before pulling each blade out to about twenty six inches. The guard was his favorite part for both blades. He was able to get them in the shape of a rats head. In memory of his pet rat Zephanie. The grip is made out of a hard maple and wrapped in leather. The pummel is just a simple silver cap with a couple of two inch ribbons dangling around a charm. One ribbon purple and the other orange. The charm is a little rat that looks like it's rubbing its head with its front paws. A little tan color with a white spot on its back just above the tail.

Zephanie was Nich's pet rat. She looked just like the charm. Eiji remembers Nich telling him she died. She went on every mission Nich had, going everywhere with Nich. Eiji never believed how smart a rat could be until he met Zep. She was assigned to kill his dad. Nich told him before that she was how they poisoned his dad. She was to slip in the kitchen and poison the pot that he had brewed. The older man turned out to be Nich's grandfather, or Mr. Buck. He wouldn't accept the tea stating that he was only there to discuss the records on his scam. Acting as if he was the head honchos secretary, and that this would only be a few minutes. Upon leaving his dad would drink the tea never knowing that she came in and done it already. She caught up with Nich as they left the house jumping into his pocket as he turned and said goodbye.

Eiji met her shortly after she was such a sweet girl! Loved to nuzzle and play she was perfect for Nich she even trained with him using signals she had learned. She and Nich were inseparable. It wasnt until two years after Eiji had done his own first mission, cause Nich went to China to study Taijijian. A type of swordsmanship taught in Taijiquan. She had gotten sick and there was nothing that he could do. Nich was distraught, he lost contact for about a month in a half with everyone.

Turns out he was making the swords in her memory. Eiji made the little rat charm, with quite a bit of help from Fuji at the time. So that he could fit the tiniest vile he could find with some of her ashes inside the tiny rat charm. Eiji even got ahold of Mr. Buck demanding they have a funeral and that they have her cremated placing the rest of her ashes in a beautiful urn.

Of course Nich's grandfather had the funeral not long after Nich returned home. The charm being gifted to him that same day, Nich cried as he held onto him. Eiji's only words were, "She will still always be with you," and smiled.

That was before there friendship turned making them closer than ever. He still kept his other life steadily going pretending to be playing video games, and comics. Honestly he's not lying it's just usually with Nich.

Their feelings for each other grew and he wished he would have said or done something before Nich left to Australia, but he's back now and they can start off where they left off. Eiji was staring at Nich with a goofy smile making the older boy give his signature half grin, "what," He chuckled.

"Nothing I was just thinking." Eiji smiled.

"That's dangerous," Nich chuckled testing the sharpness before confirming it sharp placing the stone and blade back in there proper casing. Nich stood up walking to Eiji placing his hands on the smallers hips pulling him in close and giving him a kiss. "You should probably get to practice." Nich said looking over to the clock, Eiji's eyes following then widening as he realized he was 30 minutes behind. With a panicked gasp he grabbed his bags and quickly left, noticing his mom ate her cake and must still be asleep. 'It is Saturday after all you go ahead and sleep in mom.' Eiji thought.

Eiji showed up to the court huffing and puffing as he dropped his bag and shouted a quick apology already know he had to run laps.

Tezuka looked over to him and nodded in acceptance at he began running. "Didn't think you were joining us today." He heard Fuji giggle causing Eiji to blush but keep running.

"Eiji your not to sore for practice?" Inui asked as Eiji finished his laps and started his warm ups just as Kaidou and Momo were playing against each other.

Eiji looked at inui confused until he realized the devilish grin he had on his face as he continued writing in his notebook. Eiji flushed with his mouth gaped in embarrassment. Ryoma who happened to be standing next to Inui looked over to Eiji, "sore? From what? Eiji are you hurt?" He asked looking concerned.

"NO!" Eiji shouted walking over to Oishi grumbling all the way. Oishi stood on one side of a court practicing off the wall when Eiji came over. "Oishi?" He asked.

Oishi turned to him after catching the ball his face unreadable. "Is everything alright?" Oishi sighed then gave a smile.

"Everything's fine Eiji why do you ask?"

"It's just last night you wouldn't look at me? I thought maybe you hated me after finding out.."

"That you're gay? No absolutely not, Eiji don't be silly. It's just..." Oishi glanced away and blushed slightly, "I thought we told eachother everything. But you have a boyfriend no one knew about." Oishi finished rubbing the back of his head.

Eiji giggled and looked at Oishi with a sigh,"actually that didn't happen until last night. I haven't seen him in a while and I didn't realize how much I cared for him until he left. I didn't know if I was going to see him again." Eiji swung his racket a few times the two opting to hitting the ball back and forth.

"So I can ask you questions about him?" Oishi looked to Eiji concerned, before hitting the ball towards him in a game of back and forth.

"Of course mother hen ask away." Eiji said with a shake of his head returning the ball back to Oishi.

"Good. How long have you two known each other?" Oishi asked running to the right and hitting the ball back. Eiji ran left to resend it back answering, "six years."

"Really how do you two know each other?" Oishi asked. The ball being a steady bounce between the two as neither faulted in movement. "His grandfather and my dad had a job together before he died." Eiji answered.

"How old is he? Is he good to you? How have we never met him?" Oish stopped running now walking up to the net asking these questions the ball long forgotten behind him. "You don't even talk about him?" Oishi finished with a bit disappointment.

Eiji walked up to the net looking at Oishi with gentle eyes. "He's very good to me Oishi I promise. Like I said he left over a year ago and I'm just now seeing him again. We didn't actually confess until last night." Eiji said rubbing the back of his head sheepishly.

"By shoving your tounge down his throat?" Oish joked back. Eiji blushed but laughed, " yeah I guess you could say that."

"If he's been gone for over a year and you've known him for six, when did the feelings happen? I mean cause that sounds more like years of pent up emotion. So I guess shoving your tounge down his throat is a pretty good way to get the point across." Oishi stated with arms crossed nodding. Eiji just stood with his racket resting on his shoulder a deep blush as Oishi spoke.

Eiji shook his head and laughed, "maybe about two years after meeting him I grew feelings."

"Oh when did you meet him?" Oishi asked. Eiji looked down with a sigh, " I was twelve."

"If you were twelve you knew each other for six years and judging by his look and build he should be close to our age...19?" Oishi asked. Eiji gave him a surprised look, "yes."

"Where does he go to school?' Oishi asked.

"He doesn't. Well more like he goes anywhere he studies abroad a lot traveling where ever the study wants to go I guess." Eiji answered. Oishi stared at Eiji hard kinda confused, "is he rich? How can someone just travel all the time?"

Eiji laughed, "no he has family all over the world. Basically every day is a school day for him. He's always learning something." Oishi seemed more relaxed.

The two didn't realize that the whole tennis team was listening until they finished talking and noticed how quiet it was. Oishi and Eiji gave there signature high five and turned to everyone else. Eijis face flushing when everyone question who this mysterious guy was.

Eiji just sighed and gave a nervous chuckle, "don't worry guys were gonna meet him for lunch. It was his offer." Fuji said making everyone turn to him.

"What do you mean his offer?" Momo asked, "who is he? EIJI YOU'RE GAY?!" Momo asked shocked.

"Yeah..." Eiji said rubbing the back of his head with a chuckle. "And I have a boyfriend that none of you know about.." Eiji said before turning to Kawamura, "he wants to try your resturant." Kawamura gave him a huge grin and quickly put a thumbs up, "well hell yeah!"

None of the guys seemed to care Eiji was gay and they all seemed genuinely excited to meet Nich. Eiji changed and went out to meet the rest of the team. Tezuka wanted a quick meeting before everyone left, "alright guys next week Friday were going out to Ryuzaki's cabin courts for a weekend training session okay so everyone be ready. The cabin should be prepped with food and plenty of hydration so there is no need to pack anything other than necessities. We will head out after practice. Dismissed."

Eiji loved going to the cabin courts it was peaceful and at night when everyone slept Eiji would sneak out and run through the woods. One of his favorite pass times while there. He knew them woods like the back of his hand and each time was more exciting. The weather was always changing the surrounding, so the forest was always a little bit different each time. He was wondering if he could convince Tezuka to let Nich come but didn't think it would fly because it was a tennis thing and Tezuka hates anything that interruptes practice.

Eiji began his walk with Oishi. The two joking and laughing like usual when Eiji felt himself pair of eyes on him. Reassessing his surroundings it had to be coming from his back left. Not wanting to tip whoever it was off he continued casually and kept his conversation going, "so what you going to do tonight?" Oishi asked misceviously.

Eiji laughed, "maybe play some video games. I'm not sure yet depends on what Nich is feeling," Eiji pondered. In reality he knew his plans. He was making his move tonight since he got interrupted last night. Them three need to be stopped before they get to far in.

Eiji said "we'll see you in a couple hours Oishi," giving a big wave as the two split ways the feeling of being watched remained for a few more minutes before disappearing. Eiji watched Oishi dissappear turning left down his alley to return home.

Being extra cautious on his way to his house paying attention to his surroundings. Something seemed off and he was going to have to figure it out. But not until later after they leave Kawamura's.

Returning home Eiji noticed Nich had left but not before writing a quick note of 'ill be back don't worry' with a little kiss face at the bottom. Eiji smiled putting on a pair of jeans and a red shirt. He finished the last bit of homework he had when he noticed the time. He was to be meeting everyone in thirty minutes. He grabbed a few throwing knives placing them around the waist band of his pants.

Moving down the stairs of his home to see his mom straightening up the kitchen, "oh Eiji dear how was practice?" She asked grabbing her purse.

"It was good mom." He answered with a smile. "Where you going?" He asked her.

"Oh Kari wanted to have dinner and do a little drinking. I felt I should get out a bit anyways." She answered.

"Oh okay well you be careful no drinking and driving." Eiji said. "Oh you silly. Of course not I'm going to walk over and if I have to much she said I can sleep in the guest room." She reassured him.

"Okay mom I love you be careful and have fun," he told her with a smile. "I'm meeting the tennis club for lunch okay," Eiji made sure to tell her.

"Okay dear you be careful, call me if you need anything okay?" And with that she left. Eiji exiting the house a few moments later.

Walking along the road Eiji looked up just in time to see Nich walking over to him with a charming smile. He was wearing a pair of capris with a long sleeved black and grey shirt that hugged his body perfectly. Eiji felt himself getting a bit hot just looking at him, "Eiji, shall we go do lunch," he asked offering his arm out that Eiji took with a huge smile.

Pulling Nich's arm to give him a long and slow kiss. Leaning back but not opening his eyes he hummed, "it's going to be hard not to do that." Nich giggled and they began walking.

"I received a mission from your grandfather," Eiji started. "It's three men. It took a while to finally locate them but if you wanna join me like old times?"

"Well you see I actually came back because of I finished my studies, two I missed you so damn much I couldn't stand it and three Grandpa said you might need need little help with that mission. They still haven't found anything on there end. So they didn't know if you were having just as much trouble as they were," Nich explained. "So yes I would love to join you on your mission."

"It was hard to find them but I actually stumbled across they're location last night on my run," Eiji explained.

"How convenient," Nich said. The two walked into Kawamura Sushi and everyone was already there talking loudly and laughing as the two walked in. All eyes turned to them as they came up, "Hey guys," Eiji said excitedly, "Nich everyone, everyone Nich."

Immediately everyone started asking questions, "Where are you from? You don't look asian." And "you're hair is so purple!", "do you live in tokyo?" Nich easily answered everyone's questions in the most polite manner he could, Eiji noticing just how nervous he truly was by his twitching fingers.

Eiji picked up on it years ago when Nich is nervous he rubbed his fingers in a snapping motion. But held a cool, calm exterior. Eiji also noticed that Oishi wasn't here and checked his phone to see if maybe he had a missed message. He didn't so therefore sent a quick message asking where he was. "Where's Oishi," Eiji questioned.

"Not sure I messaged him a bit ago but he hasn't responded," Fuji answered. This made Eiji nervous remembering that his feeling left earlier when Oishi went out of view. Glancing at Nich to see that he was already looking at him concern in his eyes, he must have picked up that Eiji was concerned.

Eiji smiled reassuringly before his phone rang. It was Oishi. Eiji answered it with an, " Oishi! Whe-"

"Oishi will not be joining you," a voice cut him off through the phone. Eiji stiffened the voice was male. "Eiji Kikumaru, we know you were ordered to find us."

"Who is this," Eiji said menacingly through the phone to the other person. Nich made his way to listen. Everyone had stopped talking and joking hearing Eiji's voice quickly change. Watching intently as Eiji's friendly face turned deadly.

"You know who we are and you should know by now that your friend, Oishi right? Well we have him and he is quite the fighter. Damn near knocked a tooth out of my brother's mouth we had to knock him out. Do you want to hear him?" Everyone had moved and was now listening over the phone, "EIJI DONT COME! THEY WANT TO KILL YOU!" Oishi could be heard shouting.

A smack and a groan they must have hit Oishi,"oh shut up you idiot he knows that." The voice said, "so yeah you meet with us and we'll trade Oishi for you? Does that sound fair? Good fantastic bye now," and he hung up.

The terrified faces of his teammates left him with no explanation. He quickly looked to Nich who had a look of determination. "I guess we're going now then," he asked as Eiji slid his phone into his pocket. Eiji just knodded as the two began to walk towards the door.

"Wait what the hell! You can't receive a phone call like that and not call the police?! We need to get Oishi." Ryoma shouted.

"We are but we are not prepared to do this right now which is why we need to leave so we can go get him." Nich said gently.

Everyone stood up as Tezuka stated, "not without us. We're a team. We fo this together and if we have to fight for a member we will."

"Captain I'm sorry to say this but no you guys will all get in the way. I have a Double life my job has eliminating crooks. Oishi just got caught in a cross fire." Eiji stated catching Tezuka off guard with his commanding tone. "I can not risk any of you getting into this part of my life," Eiji looked to Nich who spoke for him, "Guys we really need to get Oishi back as unharmed as possible can we discuss this later?"

"Nope we can discuss it along the way. Where are we going." Fuji said walking out the door with everyone in suit. "You're friends are...loyal," Nich said with a grin.

Eiji sighed, " there stubborn. My house."

Walking into Eijis bedroom the two assassins quickly made work of changing into there ninja-yoroi with many hidden pockets and slots. The tennis team all stood crowded in Eijis room watching as the two began putting different knives and other weapons on their persons. Eiji pulled out his Naginata giving it a stroke before breaking it down into 3 separate pieces which fit perfectly into the slots down his left leg. Nich place his double ox tail sabers on his back the little rat charm swaying as he did so.

Giving each other a once over they deemed the other prepared. Leaving the house with the team in suit. No one was prepared for what was about to happen.
