Magnus and Alec were in a long distance relationship for two years until Magnus called it off because he felt that it was worthless because they never had time to fly out to see one another. Magnus tags along with Camille to a concert that he's been dying to see But never had tickets. Camille pushes Magnus into talking to Alec after the concert, what will happen?

22. Chapter 22

Sorry if this chapter is all over the place... I finally have free time to write! I'm not making any promises but just know that I have some new chapters coming along with some new story ideas. The stories that I have on hiatus will most likely be deleted. but that's nether here nor there. Please enjoy this chapter... until next time.

Alec laid on the stage with one leg hanging off. He was having one of his fits and needed to let off some steam. Being away from Magnus for three months was really getting to him now he needed to hold his lover in his arms. Magnus was filming Nico season four at the moment and couldn't attend the concert. It sucked balls if he was honest. Everyone was there with them in London, everyone but his lover. Magnus's grandparents wanted to attend Alec's concert since they never attended a concert before. They were currently sitting in the stands with Alec's family. Luke was trying to get the band to order but they weren't listening for some reason, it was getting on Alec's nerves.

So Alec did what he does best when feeling icky on the inside. Pulling out one of his phones he keeps with him, turning on Spotify and zoning everyone out until it was time for the soundtrack party. Alec didn't see or hear Robert call his name, of course, how would he- if his eyes were closed and he had earbuds in. "Hey Dad, Alec is in one of his moods, just give him some space. He's upset because Magnus, Nala and Thierry aren't here, but actually they are. We wanted to surprise him for his birthday. We-" Max was stopped when Alec started singing.

Alec remembered him and Magnus having a date. They rarely had those anymore being full time parents and all. Today though, the kids were with Maryse and Melissa having some grandparents bonding time. Alec had been wanting to make love to his husband for a few days now, but everytime they got into it one of the kids called for them. Giving the both of them a case of blue balls. Magnus was supposed to be on his way home but for some reason he was taking forever to get home. Not wanting to call and question his husband because come on! He needed his husband damnit!

My heart starts trembling

Alec's thoughts stopped when he heard his husband's footsteps. Excited, Alec began stripping his clothes getting ready for his baby to devour him. Magnus walked in holding a dozen royal blue roses and strawberry cupcakes topped with chocolate covered strawberries. His face lit up with delight seeing his husband but soon turned lustful seeing Alec shirtless. Placing both items on the coffee table in their lounge area. He stepped closer to Alec licking his lips in a delicious way he knew Alec went nuts for.

"Hello darling, you look absolutely gorgeous." Alec chuckled huskily. The sound of that laughter turned Magnus on immediately. Groaning, Magnus pulled Alec in for a much awaited kiss. Alec was trembling with want and need and Magnus knew this. "I want you husband, it's been too long." Alec gasped breathlessly as Magnus trailed kisses down his neck, biting every now and then.

"Well, we should get to it shouldn't we?" Magnus pushed Alec down on the bed then proceeded to remove his own clothing, not wanting to leave his love wanting.

Magnus walked in the arena with their children in both arms laughing at something Nala said. Nala wanted to run seeing his father on the stage, but was held back by Magnus. He wanted them all to walk on stage and join him later for a surprise they talked Luke into doing. Magnus hated seeing the disappointed look on his husband's face but he wanted to surprise him dammit, sue him. He knew from Max that Alec wasn't in a good space at the moment, he only hoped Alec's mood would lighten as the show started. They joined the family in the stands, Will helping him with Thierry. For some reason Will and Jem liked to kidnap his children from time to time. Not to mention Cat and Tessa. Those two were the absolute worst… Actually they might be neck and neck with Maryse and Melissa.

"Jesus I did not know that boy had a set of pipes on him like that! Why didn't anyone tell me?!" Anthony, Magnus' grandfather exclaimed angrily as he watched his grandson's husband get lost into his music. "Pops, what do you think Alec did for work? Just play instruments? Yes the last time you saw him he was on vocal rest but trust me that boy has soul in him. Though pop rock is his heart and soul. He could sing any and everything. He is the lead man for the band." Melissa explained to her parents.

Rolling his eyes Magnus ignored his grandfather to listen to his love sing his heart out. Damn near crying because Alec was singing one of the song that was playing when they made love before he had to leave for tour for six months. Magnus remembered him and Alec going out like two jack rabbits that couldn't get enough of one another.

"Well shit if that isn't one of the sexiest songs ever recorded, Alec is killing it with no problems. And seeing the looks on the techs and bands faces, I would say this wasn't part of the schedule. What happened?" Gideon asked, shocking the family. Before anyone could do or say anything Alec's whistle tones broke them out of the hated anger because Alec was blowing putting Beyonce herself out of shame.

They watched as Jace walked towards Alec holding his phone in his hands as he recorded his brother pouring his feelings out. When Alec started crying seeing the high notes the other members of the band and Luke quickly walked towards him, but not wanting to interrupt his way of venting. Nala and Theirry started crying hearing her father cry Magnus had to console them quickly. Not wanting Alec to hear them and ruin the surprise.

They finished together still shaking from their four hour love making. Their souls felt reunited in a good way. They hadn't made love in over four months and what they just did was enough to satisfy them for another four because damn…. Alec couldn't form any words as Magnus held him close rubbing his back in soothing circles. He chuckled, "My darling I do believe you are speechless." Alec grunted. He couldn't get anything out. Magnus smiled deviously, leaning down to kiss his sweaty husband, loving the way those blue eyes were still blown. Alec smiled, kissing his husband until he couldn't anymore, falling asleep wrapped in Magnus's safe arms.

"Sorry guys, I'm really not feeling it today. Let's do this sound check quickly please. I need to be alone for a bit." Alec wiped his eyes, and sat in the middle of the stage to finish sound check. Everyone could tell he wasn't really there, but they appreciated him for giving it his all. In the stands, the family was really concerned about Alec. The Lightwoods never knew how bad Alec's mental state was. Seeing as the rest of the band members had their spouses with them on the road. Alec did not, and that took a toll on him. Alec didn't know that Magnus made plans for him and his children to tour with the band for the remainder of this leg. The kids were excited and couldn't wait. With Alec having his own tour bus, it was easier for them to be comfortable.

"Alright kid, just another thirty minutes, do you think you can handle it? If not, I can cancel the sound check party." Luke was so serious, he wouldn't force Alec to do anything especially if his anxiety was acting up. Alec shook his head 'no' wiping his eyes. He could do this, he just needed to hear his husband's voice.

"Yeah, just give me five minutes please." With that, Alec walked back towards the dressing room to call Magnus.

Magnus's phone started ringing, he knew the ring tone so he quickly told everyone to shut up. "Hello darling, how are you doing?" He heard Alec's voice shake as he spoke. He knew that Alec was crying and it was going to be a long day for his baby. Magnus got up, walking away from everyone, this phone call was personal. No one besides him needed to hear it. After calming Alec down and making him laugh, Alec was in a much better mood. Everyone saw that when Alec walked back onto the stage to engage with his Shadowhunters. While the band entertained the fans, the family turned towards the Lightwoods needing answers.

"Alec and Jace came to the house and we had a huge emotional meeting," Gideon started, "We Apologized for everything we put them through and the enormous trauma we've caused. They didn't fully forgive us, but they are willing to give us a chance. It's a lot of work, but we miss our family. We've missed so much of their lives with our hatred. Enough is enough." Magnus and Camille shared a look, not believing them for one second. "Well I tell you what, if any of you open your mouth to say anything negative, I will drop you. Got it?" Camille looked each of them in the eye. The Lightwoods knew it was going to take a lot of time to be fully accepted back in the family. Magnus got his kids some food and took them to the restroom before the show started. He made sure to put their headphones on so they wouldn't go death with all the screaming.

The lights turned down and it was time for the family to enjoy the music.

"Are you still with me London?" The crowd screams. Alec smiled, taking a breather before continuing. "So this next song is dedicated to everyone out there like me who has mental health issues like myself." Alec was so close to his fans in the back, he felt as if he could reach out and hug each and everyone of them. "We are not easy to deal with, especially if you have a significant other or friends who constantly have to deal with our mood swings. I would like to thank the people who didn't give up on us and if you have people who have given up on you, just know that if you ever need anyone to vent to, I am here for you. Now I know there are thousands of you, but just know I will get back to you whenever I can. Also if you haven't heard, I have this mental health foundation and clubs that bring us together so we can find a friend or someone that will help get you out of your head. So I'm going to shut up now. I'm sorry for going off the rails, but I just want to say a huge thank you to my person, who never gives up on me and helps me get through my shit. This song is called breathing". The crowd roared with excitement.

Alec stands in front of the stage watching his fans and laughing when he hears them shout the lyrics loudly at him. Melissa looks at her son and smiles as he sings the song along with his daughter. She knew he was a huge factor in Alec's life. His friends and family also watched him jam out to Alec sing his heart out. They watch Alec dance around the stage with a huge smile on his face. They saw phones turned towards them and the fans were going out of their minds seeing Alec's family. Still Alec had no idea his family was there to surprise him. Maryse and Robert were in full blown tears watching their son sing his heart out with his fans.

"Sing it out!" Alec shouts. "Come on London, you can get louder than that. Alec started walking around the entire stage, smiling as he high fived his fans. He walked towards his band rocking out with them. He placed his arms around Jace, trying to get his anxiety under control. For some reason it started acting up. Jace nodded in understanding, smiling at Alec to get him to relax and do what he's singing.

"Come on Jace!" Alec shouted as his brother played his guitar solo. "Yes! Fucking shred." Nala was transfixed on her uncle playing the guitar and if Magnus didn't know any better he would say his daughter is a music lover just like her father. As the song came to an end, Alec clapped for his band mates. "London, if you can give my wonderful bandmates a hand, that would be great. They are fucking killing it tonight."

Simon rolled his eyes, "Says the man who's the leader of the band. So London made some noise for our jerk best friend would you?" The audience laughs as Alec bows then flicks Simon off.

"Oooo that's not nice bro. What if my sweet niece and nephew see you doing this?" Asked Jace. The fans just laughed as Alec flicked both middle fingers.

"My babies wouldn't know what it means but when they get older I will teach them trust me." Jace choked on his water laughing at his brother's face. "Alright London, we are going to do something a little different tonight. Tonight I'm going to let Simon lead the next song while I take his place on the drums. Is that cool with you?" The fans lost it then.

"Ummm, what? Since when do they change places?" Max asked, sounding shocked like everyone else. Yes the fans know Alec can play the drums, but he hasn't played on stage with the band. This was going to be interesting. They watched as Simon handed Alec his sticks and walked towards the front.

"Hey guys, I'm kind of nervous. Please don't boo me." Joked Simon.

"You got this baby, don't worry." Maia says kissing Simon sweetly. The crowd "awwd" and cheered. Alright let's do this. The lights were going crazy on the stage as Alec started on the drums. In the stands Max and his friends were going nuts because Waste of the night was one of their favorites songs by the band.

Simon turned towards Alec with a huge smile on his face. His best friend was playing with his eyes closed just getting lost into the music. He was totally fanboying on stage and didn't care about it. "Play Alec!" Simon turned back towards the fans rocking out with them as the beat changed. Simon danced around the stage with the fans. Max was literally in tears watching his big brother. Robert had his arm around him smiling as Alec transfixed his brother along with the fans.

"Ladies and Gentlemen Alec Lightwood-Bane!" Simon hugged Alec tight, spinning him around. Alec laughed at his friend's enthusiasm. They spoke away from the microphones. The rest of the band joined the two joking around. It was time for Alec's birthday surprise, so Luke escorted Magnus, Nala, and Thierry on the side of the stage. Alec walked back towards the front of the stage with a smile on his face. "This next song for some reason is my daughter's favorite, so I decided to put it on the set list. It's called bad liar." Nala screams and claps her hands. On the screen pictures of alec and Nala are playing with them either sleeping or dancing around. There are videos of them singing together. Nala points at the screen saying look is me and daddy. When the chorus starts she belts out along with her father..

Magnus walked out with his babies and the crowd was going fucking bonkers. Jace gave Nala his mic so she could sing, surprising Alec who stopped singing, turning to see his daughter singing with a smile on her face. He literally breaks down on stage seeing her. Nala skipped down on the stage to get to him. She jumps in Alec's arms, hugging him tightly. She holds the microphone and says "Hi Dada, Happy birthday!" That's when Magnus and Thierry decided to join them. With tears running down his face, Alec greeted Magnus with a long kiss and hug. Thierry reached out for him, wanting to be in his fathers arms as well.

"That is the sweetest thing in the world. Oh God, my makeup is ruined." Tessa says, seeing tears on everyone's faces. Every single fan had tears in their eyes seeing the family reunion. They knew Alec was struggling with being away from his family. It was absolutely beautiful watching Alec really smile for the first time. "Come on, let's go say hello." The family joined Alec on the stage bringing out a cake. Alec seeing everyone brought more tears to his face. Will and Jem stole the kids again so Magnus can take his husband into his arms really.

"Shadowhunters help us as we celebrate Alec's birthday. On a count of three Everyone sings happy birthday." Jace counted everyone in. Alec couldn't do anything but smile with tears rolling down his face. Magnus wiped them away with the help of Nala. Together Alec and his babies blew out his candles. After a quick intermission, the band was back and was ready to finish the show. Alec especially. The family made their way back towards their section speaking to fans as they went.

Alec sat at the edge of the stage for the next song. This song spoke about how he feels about his husband and the meaning behind it. It was also on his solo album that went number one in four hours. Magnus held a hand over his mouth trying not to ugly cry as he watched his baby sing his heart out. This song meant so much to Magnus because literally everything Alec says is true and has happened.

The fans in front of Alec shouted the lyrics so loud he burst into laughter. He always loved seeing his fans' faces as he sung their favorite songs that touched them deep in their souls. Alec stood and walked over where his family was sitting. He saw Magnus and smiled, playing around as he sung to his man. Magnus laughed at his husband's antics whilst singing the lyrics right back to Alec. The family thought it was extremely adorable. Nala waved at her father, Alec blew her a kiss. He was in a much better mood now that his family was actually in attendance.

The band bowed as the crowd screamed. "Please get home safe. Enjoy the rest of your night! Don't forget to get cheeseburgers!" With that Alec walked off the stage, heading straight for his family.
