Nier Automata: The Last God
A/N: Alright so here's part three of this little arc I have going. This was something I was really planning on putting out, and I was legit gonna put out TWO chapter in one day yesterday. BUT, once again, life decided to rear it's head back towards me and reintroduced itself to me and I couldn't get those chapters out for y'all this week. It's funny cause I was gonna put them out on Monday, and Tuesday, but once again, I had to worry about other stuff and I had to play Sekiro (I'm addicted to that game oml it's so good.) to have some time to myself.
But it's all good now, and so as an apology to some of you guys, here's Xavier's first ever battle to the death.

Chapter 8: Showdown! Human Androids vs Adam! The Butterfly effect!!
(3rd POV)
To say that Xavier was uneasy was an understatement. Once him, 9S, and 2B descend towards to where the giant orgy is, he was now holding his sheathed katana in his left hand, much like a certain Dark Slayer would, and the scowl on his face only intensifies once he see the act in front play out.
Before he thought the scene was a bit comical, but after diving in deeper into the lore of Nier Automata, he realized that what he's witnessing is quite unnerving and uncomfortable for him. Just the thought of beings that doesn't require sexual reproduction, just to mimic them, just feel wrong to him in a way...
...But he couldn't shake away the rising anger he feels from seeing this. And he doesn't even know why he feels so angry by it all.
"It's because of one of the traits you got from the linking procedure we did from the fight with those Engels." Neltharion said in the mental link they have.
'Huh? I have traits?' He said in confusion. 'What traits are you talking abo- oh.' He said, finally realizing on what Neltharion was saying.
"Yes. You have some traits of that of an actual Dragon, Hatchling. And the one that's kicking in is-"
'Pride.' He finished, sighing to himself mentally. 'Of course, let it be known that young dragons have a harder time controlling their pride than the much older, wiser Dragons.' Xavier said through the mental link, shaking his head, even in real time. This grabs, both 2B and 9S's attention, including the Pods attention as well.
"Analysis: I have scanned Xavier's body language is greatly agitated from the scene before him, causing him to feel angry towards Machine lifeforms in this area. Query: Is Xavier upset?" Pod 153 asked him, making him sigh out loud.
"You can say that." He said before he further explain it to them. "Neltharion told me that I have some traits a Dragon would have, and that one trait is pride."
"Pride? What does pride have to do with this?" 9S asked.
"Because Dragons have always been known as, arguably, the most powerful creatures in existence, and they can back up the claim too. And so, Dragons don't like it when someone or something insults their pride. So imagine me, a human, THE last human, is looking a beings that doesn't require any type of sexual reproduction organs, mimic after you. Some humans would be disgusted, some weirded out, some would feel uneasy, some will somewhat traumatized, and some would feel anger like me." He said.
"Because you feel like they're mocking you in a way..." 2B said, getting the point Xavier was making.
"And it only worsens by the fact that my new Dragon's Pride is coming into effect..." He added.
This made both her and 9S furious that the thought of these Machines would make such an affront in front of their God! This makes her summons [Virtuous Contract], and slowly walk towards these machine lifeforms.
But before she could charge in and slice them into metal ribbons, she was stopped by Xavier of all people in the area. She looks at with her mouth slightly agape, telling him that she was shocked by him stopping her.
"Sir I don't-"
"Just because I'm upset doesn't mean you have go charging head first to make the anger I feel go away. Like I said, I was told about this trait recently." He explained to them, getting an "oh ok" from 9S. "If I didn't have this trait then I would just feel uneasy, weirded out, and uncomfortable by all of this." He said, waving his arm out to the Machine lifeforms that continues their weird, and unnerving fantasy. "So I'll be fine, let's just stay focus, level headed, and finish this mission as quick as possible. And besides, aren't emotions are prohibited right 2B?" He said to her, making her tense up from hearing him say that. But then he gives her a reassuring smile to help put her at ease her from the traumatic experience from her past.
"...Of c-course Sir, emotions a-are prohibited." 2B said in a shaky tone as his smile calms her down somewhat.
Nodding his head, he walks ahead of them, taking the lead. His Pod follows closely behind him, as the smile was replaced once more with his signature scowl on his face. As he do, both 2B and 9S summon their weapons and follow behind him, before they stop a few feet behind him. The cause of this, is a certain Machine lifeform that ran away from them, suddenly pops up from the sand turns to look at them.
"And...droids...Hu...man." It said before, it's eyes turns red while staring at Xavier. "Kill...Kill...Kill...Kill...Kill..." It repeated, like it was a Mantra. In response to this, all of the other Machine lifeforms stop on what they was doing and slowly turn their heads around to face the only human there, their eyes change into a glowing red color as well. As some get up from the ground and stared at him, as they slowly advance towards him, with the intent to kill him in the most gruesome way possible.
2B and 9S both move closer to Xavier, willing to put their lives down to protect him. While Xavier gives the gathering machine lifeforms a small smirk, as he grab the handle of [Ryūjin No Shi] and twirls it a bit before he points the blade downwards. He sees more of them falling from above, and some popping up from the sandy ground. Xavier couldn't help but to chuckle softly before he look towards that one machine lifeform he left a huge gash with.
"Well if you want to kill me that badly..." He said.

Unbeknownst to him, his eyes changed from that of a humans to one of a dragons, as the slited optical organs turns into a bright orange color instead of crimson. His smirk disappears and was replaced with a more serious look on his face. "Then I'll be happy to return the favor!!" He said, growling more akin to a beast as he immediately launch himself towards them, with his respective Pod following closely behind him. 2B and 9S follow suit, with their pods following them as well. The poor Machine didn't have time to react as it was sliced in half. Despite this, the rest of the machine lifeforms move towards him and begins to swarm him, with no fear at all.
This only serves to annoy him, so he turns around and focus on the rest of them Machine lifeforms. He could see that there are more and more machine lifeforms falling from somewhere. This causes him to let out a frustrated sigh, as he flick his wrist, slicing three machine lifeforms in half with ease. Then he jump in the air and perform a spinning heel kick at one of the falling machine lifeforms. It blitz down to a group of five, exploding on contact and killing all five of them. He then spot two bipedal machine lifeforms with sword on his right and left side, he then catch a glimpse of one popping up from the ground and heading up towards him. As they approach him, time slowed down for him and he looks for his Pod and see it launching missiles at the enemies that got in 2B and 9S's blindspot. Giving a brief smile from seeing this, he already have a plan in store for his next move as time flowed normally for him once more.
"Pod!" He screamed for Pod 1337, catching it's attention and with no hesitation, it flew up towards him and caught him by the wrist. "Good, Now throw me up higher in the air. Then I want you to slash these three machines in the air." He said, getting an "Acknowledged" from his Pod. He watch as Pod 1337 spins him around and launch him higher up in the air, once it does, it immediately moves at blinding speeds as the sound of both metal and air being cut from it's rapid slashes. The Pod look up at him and gives him a thumbs up, getting a chuckle from him. "Good, now move, I'll take care of the rest buddy, you go help 2B and 9S." He said to Pod 1337, getting another "Acknowledged." from Pod 1337. Xavier then closes his eyes as he check to see how much Mana, to which is what he's calling it for now on, he has left and he smirks a bit once he sense that he still have enough to use.
So he begins to channel some of his Mana into his blade and holds it above his head, all while he was getting close to the Apex of his ascent. Once he felt like he poured enough Mana into the blade, he begins to feel himself descend back towards the ground. But suddenly two bipedal machine lifeforms jump out from the rubble they was hiding from an attack him. Realizing this, he quickly threw his sword up higher into the air as the machines and him duke it out, still descending from up in the air.
Meanwhile, down on the ground, 2B and 9S is being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of machines that continues to replace the ones they destroy.
"This isn't good..." 2B said, as she dodged two of them one after the other before she launch them up, as she stabs one while she's up in the air, then follows up with a spinning heel kick to the other. She then sends the one she stabbed down towards the ground and destroy a group of five. She then lands back down on the ground, walking to the downed machine, and with a grunt, she kicked it into a group of seven. This kills half of them, while the other half is injured. She's took this moment to look towards 9S, and she see him destroying a group of nine after making one of them explode. She then see a few of them coming behind him, getting ready to attack. But before she could warn him, three huge hammers come crashing down on the machine lifeforms that was going to attack 9S.
Both 9S and 2B look up and see Pod 1337 was the one who summons those hammers. Sighing to herself, she didn't bother to look behind as her Pod destroy four Machine lifeforms from behind her. She then made her towards 9S, while she summons [Virtuous Treaty, and threw it at the approaching machine lifeforms, heading for 9S. 9S notice this and smiles softly at her.
"Thanks 2B." 9S said, before he threw his sword [Cruel Oath] towards another approaching group, damaging them but not killing them. "They just don't stop coming!" 9S said in some frustration. But then he stops and realizes something. "Wait, where's Xavier?" He asked with growing concern. This made 2B freeze up and looks around for The Last Human. But before she could say anything, they hear Pod 1337 above them.
"Xavier is currently fighting two bipedal machine lifeforms in the air- Warning: Xavier has sustain grievous wounds from both machine lifeforms from the abdomen and chest area." Pod 1337 said, making both androids eyes widen in fear for his life. "Both stab wounds hit vital organs. One from his stomach, the other from a pierced lung, his right lung." Pod 1337 deduced, making the both look around frantically. Then they hear a loud cry of pain as they see him up in the air, with one of the machine lifeforms swords drove deep in his chest, specifically in the right area to where his right lung is at. There's also a gaping hole in his stomach, showing he was stab their but they see the second blade lodged in the left side of his lower abdomen.
"XAVIER/ZAE!" 9S and 2B called out to him, their black boxes beating a hundred miles a minute. They was about to jump up and help him, but the large gathering of machine lifeforms stopped them, forcing them to defend themselves.
" Oi! Don't worry about me, I got-ack! Got this under control!!" They heard him shout. "Just focus on keeping those machine lifeforms busy just a little longer, I-argh! have a plan! Alright you fuckers, if y'all want to die so badly then I'll gladly grant your wishes!!" He said, grabbing the one in front of him, and with some effort, crushed it's head like a grape and throws it off to the side. He then conjure a small Mana Blade and shot it into the one that was behind him, as the small blade lodged itself in it's head, Xavier tilts his head to the left so that he doesn't accidentally kill himself. He then position it downwards, and with a grunt he boosted himself up towards his descending blade that's still contains the Mana he stored in it. He grunts in pain as the machine lifeform and it's blade was sent downwards, crashing into a large group of them, making he smirks softly to himself.
"Alright let's give this new move a test drive." He said as he flip his sword in a reverse grip, holding it with both hands and brings it over his head. He then focus and makes the blade get so hot, that the blade itself turn a burning white color. As he gets closer to the ground he call out to 2B and 9S. "2B! 9S!" He got their attention, as they look up and see his sword. Already knowing what he's going to do, they jump from ledge from ledge, and stand on one of the stony support beams. Nodding his head, he look back towards the many, many different Machine lifeforms, clicking his tongue from how many there are. But his grip on his sword only tightens, and doesn't falter. He growls out loud, ignoring the searing pain all throughout his body, and the blood that is dripping from the corners of his mouth.
"Alright you scrap heaps, time for y'all to know why us humans aren't the ones..." He trails off, as he glares down at them. "The ones to be fucked with!!" He exclaims. "Eat this. [Doragon No Shingami: Shakunetsu no kuroi nami!]"
(Translation Dragon God of Death: Scorching black waves.)
The moment Xavier lands on the ground, and dug his blade deep into the ground, a huge torrent of black flames erupts from the ground. This attack took out a huge chunk of the many Machine lifeforms from this attack, as 2B and 9S look on in awe by yet, another display of power. After a couple of seconds after the attack, he pulls his sword out of the ground and the black flames disappear. He look around and see most of them either incinerated or is a melting puddle of metal. He smirks to himself at his handiwork, but then he falls on all fours, as that attack he did drained a good chunk of his reserves, due to him making the flames stay for a couple of seconds. And it doesn't help that he's using his Mana to heal those fatal wounds he was inflicted by those two machine lifeforms. He pants loudly, before he grip the blade that was still lodged up in his left side. He ignore both 2B and 9S calling out to him, and with a few deep breaths and a grunt, he pulls the rusty blade out of his left side, and gasp out loud in pain.
"Z-Zae are you okay? Are you going to be-"
"Yeah I'm fine, just have to rest for a bi-"
"Warning: a large number of hostile machine lifeforms detected." Pod 042, making both of the androids look around to see on where they're coming from. They spotted some of them coming up from the ground, but that was it.
"Where is the larger group? We don't see them anywhere..." she said before she look towards Xavier and see him looking up above them. She follow his gaze, and her eyes widen behind her blindfold at the sight. She heard 9S gulp loudly, while Xavier sigh out loud in annoyance.
"Awww c'mon can't a guy like me get a break? Or at least let my wounds heal first?" He asked out loud to no one, knowing his question wouldn't be answered. But then he see the ones from the ground go up the support beams and make themselves look like stables of the sorts. Then suddenly, some of them grasp some of the ones falling from the air. But when the others who fell to the ground, got up, ignored the three of them completely, and head towards the slowly forming cocoon.
"What the..."
"This cannot continue. This cannot continue. This cannot continue. This cannot continue. This cannot continue." They heard them saying, confusing both 9S and 2B. While Xavier, on the other hand, he was glaring at the cocoon as he already knows what's going to happen next.
"What are they doing?" 2B asked, her sword still in her hand.
"I don't know but I have a feeling that isn't going to be good." 9S said, getting ready for what's to come.
"Y-You've got that right 9S." Xavier said, surprising the both of them as they see him standing, but with some difficulty. They rush over to his side, but he waved them off, as the wound on his left side is healing at a fast pace, though the stomach and lung puncture wounds are taking more time to heal than the wound on his left side. "I'll be fine, I just can't push myself too much is all. Besides I still go some reserves left to heal these wounds, we just have to end the fight as quick as possible." He told them as he see the cocoon glow brightly from the inside as something begins to fall out of it. "Focus up guys, we've got company." Xavier said, ignoring the burning pain he feels from his right lung.
They see the last machine lifeform climb up and the glow inside becomes brighter. Then suddenly, a body of a naked man falls out. The white glowing substance slowly running off his body as the said figure slowly gets up and looks towards 2B and 9S.
"Ann...droids." he said, before his gaze finally lands on Xavier, who was looking at him with a weary look in his eyes. "Huuu...man. Huuman." He said twice, making Xavier feel unease now.
"Don't attack yet you two." Xavier said, making the both of them look at him with their mouths slightly agape. "We still don't know if he's a threat yet. So let's wait until he makes the first move." He explained, getting stiff nods from the both of them. Giving them a nod of his own, he turns his attention back towards the soon to be Adam.
"A...rrree...y...ooou...aaa...Huuu...man?" He spoke as his voice was both normal and of that of the hostile machine lifeforms. This made Xavier more cautious by this but he took a few shaky steps forward before stopping a good distance away from him, as 2B and 9S stayed closely to him. He stared at Adam for a moment before he answered his question.
"Yes I'm human, but I'm special." Xavier said, his grip on his sword remains steady. He watch as Adam tilts his head in confusion by that.
"Spe...cial?" He said in confusion, not knowing on what he means.
"Why yes, I'm special. You can tell by the way this blade is different from the rest right?" Xavier said, bringing his blade up for Adam to see, as it has the grey electricity dancing around the blade. Adam turns his attention from Xavier and towards the blade.
Then suddenly he was hit with the memories from that one machine lifeform that fought against him and ran away. And another one that was sliced into tiny little pieces, and one that was sliced in half from head to groin, then one from it's shoulder to groin, and many, many more. All while showing Adam the last image of him covered by the cloud of dust, his glowing crimson eyes is the only thing he see.
Coming back into reality, he looks at Xavier and looks back on the memories of the other machine lifeforms that died before him. He looks at Xavier once more and a metallic growl, he launch himself up in the air, and does a diving heel kick towards Xavier with the intent to kill him. But Xavier, 2B, and 9S jumped away in time, A cloud of dust erupts from where he kicked from. As for Xavier and his group, they stood back a plenty of good distances away from Adam.
"So do we attack now?" 9S decided to break the silence, looking over towards Xavier. With a frown on his face, he nods his head, and the both of them charge towards Adam. Xavier, on the other hand, falls down to one knee. His breathing is becoming more haggard, as the burning sensation in his wound from his lung became unbearable for him.
"D-Damn. Why isn't h-healing fast enough...?" He asked out loud.
"That's because you're running low on Mana. Despite your stomach wound is almost healed, doesn't mean it took a good chunk of your Mana to heal it at a reasonable pace." Neltharion explained. "And don't forget you did use a sizable chunk of it at that woman from before, remember? So combine that and the new attack you used, plus healing three different fatal wounds, and that's going to take away a lot of your reserves." Neltharion told Xavier, making him curse under his breath for being so dumb and rash. "Don't go beating yourself up now. What's done is done. End of story. It's time for you sit back and to lick your wounds. I'm sure those Automatons got it from here." Neltharion told Xavier, knowing that he doesn't want to hear him say that, but he had no choice. Unless he loses another one so quick.
"...I guess you're right." He said, before he stretch his arms, grunting in pain afterwards from feeling his right lung once more. "I-I guess I can't cry over spilled milk." He said, as he watch both 2B and 9S show Adam no mercy. "They're not pulling any punches are they?" He asked Neltharion, as he mentally sweat drop from seeing 2B using Pod 042 use those hammers, launching Adam across the battlefield and into Pod's 153 laser attack.
"Well Adam did try to kill you." Neltharion argued.
"True, but I feel like it's mostly a misunderstanding." Xavier argues back.
"True, but we'll never know until we meet him once more." Neltharion said, as Xavier nods his head. He continues to watch them demolish Adam.
"A-aaaaa...pro...ject...ile...deflect...s...word... block." Adam said, gripping his head as his body briefly glows white.
"Looks like it's our time to get ready and wrap things up then." Xavier said, getting up from the ground and standing up as he could breathe a bit easier than before, albeit he still couldn't breathe properly, but at least it's better than before. "Good it's not going to be long for it to heal completely." He said as he turns his attention back towards the fight.
He see 2B slashing away at Adam's defense, but once it broke, he immediately swing his arm. This cause a powerful 'whoosh!' To be heard, as he sent a powerful gale force towards 2B. But she gracefully dodge it in time, and launches him up in the air with her. She then swing [Virtuous Contract] at speeds, that a normal human eye wouldn't be able to see. Then she finish her combo by using [Virtuous Treaty] to slam Adam down to the ground, but he was then assaulted by 9S's spinning [Cruel Oath] from in the air. Not letting him recover 9S moves in and performs his own combos, starting off with him swinging his blade diagonally downwards to the left side, and to the right. He then spin his blade through the air while it have that glowing ring around the handle, as he quickly summons it back to him and spins it again. Only this time he pulls his arm back for a sec or two and throws his spinning blade towards Adam, the sword slashing at him for a couple of seconds before he lands in the ground with a audibly thud.
2B, who was slowly descending down the air thanks to her Pod, decided to have her Pod launch her towards Adam and summons [Virtuous Treaty] once, ready to stab at his core. But suddenly, Adam disappears, as 2B struck nothing but the ground instead. Thin glowing white strings, appear around him and teleport him onto one of the support beams.
"W-What!? He teleported!? He adapting and learning much faster than we originally thought." 9S said, as he see Adam's palm lit up as he about to fire something. Eyes widen, he look towards 2B and yells out to her. "Hey! I think he's going to fire at us!" 9S said, as he turn back around and see that he, surprisingly not facing his palm at him, or 2B. But towards a certain human...
2B took notice that 9S turns his head around so fast she thought he almost twisted it off.
"9S? Wha-"
"It's Zae!! He's aiming for Zae 2B!!" She freezes up from hearing him say that, before she turns around and see Xavier, looking at her with a surprised expression, before he look up at Adam. She dashes towards Xavier, not wanting him to get fatally injured once more. But at last, she quick enough and last thing she saw was his reassuring smile, as a dust cloud forms from where he was as he died. Her eyes widen in fear and horror, as her hands covers her mouth as she feels her eyes begin to tear up, knowing that she failed to protect The Last Human...
"Ngh...You know it's quite rude to shoot at a guy who is still trying to recover." Both 2B and 9S's eyes widen in disbelief as they look towards the left and see Xavier still in one piece, but is panting audibly from exerting himself. 9S pumped his fist up in joy, while 2B have a relived smile on her face. Xavier then look towards them and gives them reassuring smile once again. But that smile is replaced by a scowl as he send it towards Adam. He grip his sword tightly as he see him firing another shot. In response to this he took a deep breath and ready himself. The moment the shot came in, he instantly dodge it and rushes towards him Adam, with the intent to finish him. Dodging from left to right while moving closer to him. Adam continues to fire more and more shots to stop him, but to no avail. Deciding that he needs to hurry up and end it, Xavier came across a piece of debris in front of him, as he has another plan in mind. Smirking to himself, he stops, picks it up, and threw it at Adam.
Adam responds to this and shoot it out of the air. But then his eyes widen as the dust clears and reveal Xavier up in the air, preparing for a thrust attack. Adam tries prepare for another shot, but Xavier was quick to respond. With a grunt of effort he use what little strength he had left and stabbed him through the chest, and cause the both of them to fall down to the ground. Seeing this, he took his sword out of Adam and kick off of him by doing a backflip. Still airborne, he right himself up, and holds his sword, like a spear, and with a shout, he throws his sword down towards Adam.
His sword travelled so fast that it created a sonic boom, surprising Xavier, 2B, and 9S. Adam saw the blade coming towards him and couldn't do anything, getting stabbed through the stomach and crashes down onto the floor. The impact creates a huge dust cloud, blocking everyone's view. Xavier, now falling without knowing where he'll land, let's out a high pitched yelp and panics a bit, his fear of falling from extreme height resurfaces again. But before he knew it, Pod 1337 grabs him from the air and slows down his descend. He then lands near 2B and 9S, and falls onto his knees as he place one hand on his chest to calm it down. The both of them run to him and help him back up onto his feet.
"Thanks you guys, just let me take a breather and I'll be go to-"
A loud metallic groan could be heard from the dust cloud, as it slowly disperse and reveal Adam taking Xavier's sword out of his chest and throw it off to the side. 2B and 9S get into a ready stance, while Xavier raises his fists. But then they see Adam fall over, face first, into the sandy ground. As 2B and 9S slowly begin to relax, feeling like its finally over, Xavier eyes widen as he remembers that Eve is supposed to appear. He looks around, trying to find his sword and finds it far off to the left. Not wasting any time, he jog over towards his weapon, catching a glimpse a hand sticking out of Adam's downed body. He turns his attention back towards his blade and stops in front of it, picking it up from the ground, and turns his attention back towards Eve...
And immediately had to block and deflect broken pieces of machine lifeforms and sharp shrapnel. But despite his best efforts, especially since he's injured, he couldn't defend himself against all of it. And so, he has gotten multiple cuts and stab wounds from the attack. He let's out a pained gasp as he felt one of the larger shrapnel lodge itself in his thigh, one in his lower abdomen, and some of the smaller ones arms and chest. Xavier fall on his knees and grip the shrapnel tightly, feeling the blood pour from the corner of his lips. Then he look and see a few more shrapnel lodged in his chest as well, his vision becoming slightly blurry.
"Xavier!!" He heard 2B call out to him, as he tries to stay conscious. As he look off to the side and see Eve hold Adam in a bridal carry and stares at him. Eve then suddenly smile at him, causing Xavier to glare at him. Eve then let out a metallic scream, causing the entire place fall apart. This alert 2B and 9S, as Xavier see Eve back away as debris obscured his view of them. But before he turn his attention to the others, he somehow heard Eve say something.
" We...wat...ch...yo...u...
close...ly...Huuu...man." Eve said, making Xavier eyes widen in shock. But once he turn his attention back towards the brothers, he only saw Eve making a giant spear made out of machine lifeforms parts. Eve then smiles once more before he points towards our direction, and teleports out of the area. Scoffing softly, he pushes through the pain, gets up, raises his sword above him, and swings downwards. He slice through the giant makeshift spear in half, but falls over immediately after that attack. He on one knee and places one hand over his mouth and cough up blood, pouring from his mouth and in between his fingers.
"Sir are you okay? Please don't push yourself too much anymore, or else you'll die." 2B said, worried that Xavier would collapse and die at any moment.
"I-I agree, don't strain yourself Sir. It's not good for you do that." 9S said, but he turns his attention to more important matters. He look towards the entrance they came from and saw that it was blocked off. He looked to see another one available, but at the last moment it too was blocked off as well. "Damnit! Both escape routes are blocked off. Now what do we do?" 9S asked out loud, as 2B looked down her hands before she balled them up into fists, as they shake from the anger she feels.
Just then, they heard the air being cut and turn to see Xavier cut open a portal, a portal that leads them back towards Desert plains. Surprised by this, they continue to look at the portal before they snap out of their stupor by hearing Xavier call out to them.
"Hey! What are y'all waiting for? An invitation?" He jokingly asked them. "C'mon before the portal closes on us!" He said as he jump through it.
They look at each other, before nodding their heads and run towards the portal. They ducked, jump, dodged, and weaved through the falling debris as 2B made through. Then finally 9S, but he comically tumble down the sandy hill. He then felt his body come to a stop as he looks up towards the sky. Groaning a bit he stands up and look around to see them back at the location of that one machine lifeform that fled towards The Apartment Complex.
"Oh thank God we've made it..." He said out loud in relief, but then he remembers about Xavier's condition and looks around and see him laying down on the ground, with 2B using her thighs as a pillow for him. He sighs in relief, as he approach the both of them, 9S see 2B gently rubbing Xavier's forehead as he rest. "Boy, he sure did went through a lot of punishment today huh? I'm shocked that he still have some energy left." 9S said, getting a hum of agreement from 2B. They both hear him chuckle a bit, before he winces in pain.
"Take it easy now Sir, you're still injured from that fight." 2B said. "Please rest, we'll contact The Bunker and report the mission to them and Anemone." she reassures him, turning her attention towards 9S and nods her head at him.
"Right, I'll get right on to it." 9S said as Pod 153 floats in front of him. "Pod patch me through to The Bunker." 9S ordered.
"Acknowledged, contacting Operator 21O." Pod 153 said, before 21O face appear on the screen.
"9S to Operator." he said.
"This is 21O, was your mission successful?" 21O asked, making him scratch the back of his head nervously. She notice this, and gives him a stern glare. "Tell me what happened?" 21O demanded, making him gulp nervously as he proceeds to tell her about the recent events.
(25 minutes later)
"I see...that is worrying to know that they're evolving at a much faster rate." She said, before she look back towards 9S. "Let me inform this to The Commander and see what she'll say about it. Just be careful out there 9S, and please make sure that Xavier is okay." 21O said with concern and worry laced in her voice, surprising 9S by this. But then again he couldn't blame her, since Xavier is injured pretty badly.
"Will do ma'am, we'll make sure he'll-"
"Warning: Old World Magic located approximately 20 meters close to our area." Pod 153, along with Pod 042, and Pod 1337. This cause both 9S and 2B to gasp out loud in shock by this. Not only that, but this makes Xavier's flicked his eyes open and made him get up onto his feet in surprise and panic.
"Hatchling! Get ready, cause here they come!" Neltharion said to Xavier, getting a "yeah, I know" from him. 2B and 9S look at Xavier's right hand and him in confusion, as he grip his sword tightly. They noticed that his body is shaking a bit in fear, surprising the both of them by this display.
"Guys I need y'all to follow my orders to the letter got it? No ifs, buts, ors, NONE of it." He told them in a dead serious tone, as they both nod their heads in unison. "Good...My Orders are simple: The both of you...Fall back and get reinforcements, go back to the Resistance Camp, get your squadron 2B. 9S, tell The Bunker to send in 10 or 15 more Androids in flight units." He gave them his orders, making their eyes widen from the sudden command.
They was about to ask why until a voice spoke out, Making Xavier tense up in anticipation.
"Well it seems like you still live in the world of the living...Successor of Neltharion, The Black Dragon Aspect of Chaos, War, and Death." One said, as she was the first to step out. Behind her was Two and Three. Then they hear Xavier gasp out in fear, his grip on his sword tightens up more as he saw Four and Five walked from behind a huge boulder and stand with their sisters. Five smiling seductively at him, as Four gently plays with her hair nervously.
"Ara Ara~ so we meet again huh, Xavier~?" Five said to him, making glare at her and covers his sword in black flames.
"Why yes...We meet again She-Demon." He growls out, using what little reserves he has left for battle to the death. looks like Xavier is out of the frying pan, but has entered into the fire.
Things have a turn for the worse for Xavier, and now he'll have to fight to survive once more.

A/N: Fuck this drained me a bit, but yeah...CLIFFHANGER STRIKES AGAIN!! This won't be last time either ;). With that aside, I don't have anything to say but to get ready for the next fight as Xavier will take on four Intoners in the next one, oh and a Dragon too.
BUT!! This will also reveal two MORE characters from Drakengard 3. But I'm gonna spoil it, but ya'll can guess on who one of them is. ;D
