Chapter 27

No one could believe it.

Lady Tiamat returned, yet, she was beyond full to say the least. She didn't want to speak with anyone, but slowly made her way back to her own living quarters. Yua was quick to run ahead of her, changing her bed to something far bigger and wider. She learned the create technique for such an emergency and by the time it was ready, Lady Tiamat entered. She said not a word before finding the bed and collapsing into it. She fell asleep instantly.

Choso suddenly arrived, baring more blankets as he was careful and respectful to tuck them in around her. He even made one large enough to go over Lady Tiamat as she slept. From there, they tiptoed out of the room and closed the door behind them.

Lady Tiamat's legions were just as stunned. "My lady… is she okay?" asked the old goat.

"She's really, really full… I would say almost three times her size before she left here…" Yua muttered. "What on earth happened?"

Her legions weren't worried about how big she got, they were more concerned as to how it happened. "She went to meet the other dragons… something must have occurred there… still, how did she return in such a state? As well, that was not the same dress she left in," the old goat muttered.

"I smell other males on her," said another.

It was a strong looking young man with wolf ears that peered out of the top of his head. "Yeah, like a hundred males…" he paused as his nose sniffed the air once more. "Huh… strange…"

"What is it?" Choso asked.

"I got two other scents… both the same… and yet… there's a hint of lady Tiamat in it… her children?" he muttered. "But how could I smell them?"

"Should we be concerned?" Yua asked the old goat.

"That, I don't know. I have never seen her like this before. We will monitor the situation and ensure her comfort. I wish for you to learn a new jujutsu from me, young lady, do you mind?"

She was taken aback by the request. "You know…"

"I'm an old goat… I know a lot of things." He said and smirked. "Come, you… cursed womb… We are entrusting you to take care of Lady Tiamat. You have done so thus far and we approve of you doing so!" he ordered.

Choso merely smiled and nodded. "Of course. I will ensure her comfort," he vowed. "I better make more blankets then, it's a good thing I have been training my brothers as to how. Not to mention, someone else too…"

Lady Tiamat doesn't remember how it happened.

All she could remember was the room full of suitors she had turned down, who sought to rip her children from her body. But then, black hands appeared from her belly and slowly, the room began to dwindle in numbers until none were left.

She did have a goal at doubling her size, but that goal has long since been exceeded thanks to her greedy sons. She only remembered escaping, then, fixing her dress to appear decent once more. When she returned to the hidden valley, she became obsessed with finding her bed and sleeping.

She needs her sleep!

When her head hit the pillow. Lady Tiamat fell into a deep slumber. She was hoping it would be a joyful rest, with a dream that she could enjoy to her heart's content.

Her dream instantly came to her. She was in a secret hideaway in the land of the divine. She would go there often for a retreat to escape from it all, but her home was always empty. She wants life, sounds and some familiar faces to fill the void of it all, but, perhaps it was too much to ask.

"Umph, Umph, Umph"

Instantly, she took notice. The coo of two little dragons filled her ears. Looking about, she found the sound grew stronger in a pile of blankets she had in the corner, there was some movement until one stumbled and rolled out! She couldn't believe her eyes. "Baby?" she whispered.

His eye sparkled to her, he smiled and reached up to her with all four of his arms, cooing all the while. "Umph! Umph!"

Her heart melted.

She had dreamed of this, but also knew, there was another one to find. This one was hiding on purpose. "I know you're in there… come out…" she said gently.

The blankets shifted for a moment, but then stopped. This one was being stubborn and didn't want to leave the blankets. The one that managed to escape was quick to jump back into the pile. They fought briefly before one stumbled and then the other rolled out of the covers.

She could already tell who was who. That glare was too noticeable! But also the other lacked various extra limbs. "Suiryu…" she gently scolded as he froze to her voice.

Yuuji however, was far more playful! "Come to momma you two, I want to hold you"

They never resisted her, they willingly let her pick them off the floor and cradle in her arms. It was then, she felt her heart skip a beat as Yuuji purred into her shoulder.

Suiryu tried, but appeared to have trouble.

"Umph?"

"Umph!"

"Are you asking him how to purr?" she giggled.

He turned away rather embarrassed. "Oh little one, don't feel obligated. If you want to you can, you will find your way…" she said gently.

Peering about the room, she envisioned a rocking chair. The device has become a favorite of hers now. She is able to lull them to sleep at the same time. It relaxes her as well. She took her seat and began to rock the two in her arms.

They were reluctant to settle at first, but eventually, a yawn escaped out of the brothers. Their eyes slowly drifted close until they passed out in her arms. Tiamat felt so happy, she never got to do this with her first brood, and there would have been too many to hold and cradle in such a way. But these two… they made her heart sing.

"I don't know if this is a dream or not, but if it is, I don't want it to end any time soon…" she whispered.

Sweet little noises came out of her sons, but they remained asleep in her arms. This was the best dream ever!
