Chapter 10
S.P.O.V.
It made no sense to me that she would just forgive me for everything, though I'm sure if she found out about my past, she would run the other way if she could no matter what she says. Some of the worst things I had done flashing through my head, how many innocent people had I killed even if it was a mercy kill. How many times have I killed a poor girl at a revel just to keep her from a much worse fate, how many times have I wished to be able to save these people I didn't even know from torture of all natures. How could she ever be friends with someone like me, eventually she will come to resent me.
I sighed getting up and walking over to my cabinet under the window getting out the Firewhiskey and pouring myself some I downed it in one shot then poured another walking back to my desk with it. I gave up on the rest of the paperwork tonight it was that much and could wait until tomorrow. I sat there for who knows how long sipping my Firewhiskey and staring into the fireplace.
Figuring I should probably head to bed I flicked my glass sending it back to the cabinet clean. I stood up heading towards my bedroom, stepping into the doorway I could see her curled up in my bed sound asleep with her head on my pillow. I walked over grabbing my pajama pants, but as I picked them up my mark started burning. "Fuck just what I need tonight," I grunted. Turning around I grabbed my robes and mask from the wardrobe quickly putting them on before making my way back out to my office and down into the halls. As I reached the Entrance Hall, I noticed neither Carrow in sight. I walked out of the castle onto the grounds not having time to enjoy the beautiful spring night. I reached the Gate stepping outside of it taking a moment to clear and protect both mine and the girls mind before touching my mark.
"Welcome Severus," The Dark Lord hissed as I appeared in front of him.
I immediately knelt down in front of him "Thank you My Lord," I answered.
"Stand Severus and remove your mask as it is only you and I here, I only called you here to see how it was going with the girl so far," he explained.
"My Lord, she has believed everything I have said even willingly allowing me to finish the mind bond instead of me forcing it. She truly believes me to have been under imperius during the killing of Dumbledore and that now I'm still a spy on their side. The girl has even gone as far as expressing that she wants a friendship with me, which between that and the slight attraction I heard in her thoughts works well with your plan," I told him.
"Let me see," he said as he entered my mind, I brought to the front of my mind the modified version of me explaining everything to the girl and then later when I had backed her into the bedpost, and all the other times I had caught her looking at me thinking about the way I look. I then showed him tonight's talk making it look like I was manipulating her into feeling bad for me.
"Very good Severus the sooner you have her trust the sooner maybe she will slip up with information on Potter. One more thing before I let you go for the night, one of your brothers' sons noticed you and Amycus arguing at dinner tonight what was that about?" he questioned.
"My Lord, Amycus does not know how to keep his hands off my property, and he keeps questioning me at everything I say or do. The Dark Lord entered my mind again as I pulled up the events at dinner for him.
He watched the events before pulling back out of my mind, "Seems like someone needs a lesson might as well bring his sister so she too can see what will happen if they continue to ignore my orders and question you who are following my orders," The Dark Lord hissed. He then put his wand to my mark, and we waited.
A few minutes later a short squatty figure in robes and a taller figure in robes appeared both faces hidden behind masks and they both knelt before The Dark Lord.
"You may stand and remove your masks both of you," he hissed. He walked towards them circling them as he spoke, "It seems that one of you can't follow orders and keeps questioning the loyalty of my Headmaster. You see Severus here was willing to let the one time slide with just a warning to you, however one of your brothers' children has brought the argument to my attention and after seeing it in Severus's mind I don't feel like it should slide." "CRUCIO," he screamed pointing his wand at Amycus who was now writhing on the floor screaming, but The Dark Lord didn't stop he kept going again and again until Amycus couldn't scream anymore. "Now take your brother back to the school and make sure he is ready to teach classes tomorrow, and let this be a warning to you both," he ordered.
"Yes My Lord," she spoke with head bowed before levitating her brother out of the room.
"Continue with the plan Severus it is going well do not disappoint me," he warned dismissing me.
"I won't My Lord, thank you My Lord," I said bowing my head before turning around and leaving the room. I walked down the hall to the main entrance of the manor before heading out across the lawn, once I reached the gate, I stepped out of it and apparated back to outside the school grounds. I made my way across the grounds and into the castle, my mind was thinking about what to do next to make this look like I was in fact following The Dark Lords plan I guess I would have to talk to Hermione about it in the morning. I made it to my office shutting the door, just glad for once it wasn't me who had been tortured, I headed for my bedroom again not even bothering to go into bathroom as I undressed. I was pulling my boxers down my legs when I heard a gasp, I turned my head to see her sitting up wide eyed and red cheeked in my bed. Quickly pulling my pajama pants up I apologized," Sorry I thought you were asleep I have your mind occluded so didn't notice I had woken you.
"It's ok," she said avoiding my eyes and still pink in the cheeks. "I thought you weren't staying up much later did something happen are you ok?" she questioned worriedly.
"I was summoned by The Dark Lord for a progress check and because a student told their parent they saw Amycus and I argue over dinner tonight and once he found out he called both Carrows there and punished Amycus," I explained. "He was happy with what I showed him about you but wants me to continue with the plan of making you fall for me, we can talk about it more tomorrow I'm exhausted and need to get some sleep," I told her.
"Ok," she said scooting over to her side letting me get into the bed.
I laid there until she was asleep again relaxing my mind and just as I was almost asleep, I vaguely felt her roll into me putting her head on my chest before the darkness claimed me.
