Guess what I did again ? Yeah, of course, I managed to release chapters of my two series in time !
So, now, here's another snippet of the daily life of one of Lionel Snill' former creations. Hope you'll like this little one.
He hoped so much that his situation would change one day that right now, even if he was in trouble, he didn't mind.
During the majority of his life, Lazarus Bleeze was a man who had to experiment changes almost constantly. He has been a knight. After he helped Chandrelle destroy their game, he became a space marine. After he killed Irving, he became a fugitive (as well as a recluse, hiding in the Six Pint Inn). After their creator got killed, he became a free man. And, if he was honest with himself, the most jarring thing for him, these days, was to get used to the fact that now, he could have a bit of respite.
In truth, he was very much not used to it. If you talked to someone who saw him in the street and remembered him enough, they would tell you about the paranoia of the man, his tendancy to look over his shoulder all the time and to walk pretty fast, like someone was chasing him. Also, they would talk about the fact that with his green-ish skin, his eyebags and his nervousness, there was a chance he was just very sick and should stay at home in order to recover. Of course, it wasn't the case but as long as this sort of justifications could keep his secrets (and those of the entire Hex) secrets, he wasn't about to complain.
Still, behaving like a normal human being who has always been born and always lived in this Earth wasn't 100% easy. First of all, he had to be accustomed to go outside without his trusted armor, just with civilian clothes (everyone, especially Reginald, told him that he would look ridiculous with it, that he would draw suspicions and that it's not practical, especially during sunny days). He complied but each time he went outside, he couldn't help himself but feeling naked, vulnerable. Chandrelle often teases him about it, but it's in good fun. None of the former patrons dug deeper into the nature of these two' relationship but it was common to see the elf joking a bit at the expense of the knight-turned-marine.
There was also the fact that he wasn't really up to date with much of what was happening in the Earth they were now living in. Oh, of course, there was the TV, the newspapers and the gossips said by people but still, it couldn't stop the fact that when he heard about something, he always had more questions than responses on how it was possible. And don't even get him started about the superheroes and villains. Weasel Kid had to take three hours to explain what they were doing and the stories of the different teams that were formed (even if Weasel was the first to admit that he wasn't that good at explaining it without doing it in a convoluted way).
And finally, even if not being chased by the remnants of Gameworks anymore was a nice change of pace, there still was this sense of boredom who was slowly growing. Not enough to make him regret his time in Vicious Galaxy (he would prefer to have all of his bones slowly crushed by a steamroller rather than facing Irving or Sado ever again, thank you very much) but still, up until this point, he has always been a man of action, running, shooting things, being constantly ready for whatever it was that him and his allies were about to face. Walking and doing nothing ? That would be a long time before he even starts getting used to it.
So, when him and several other civilians locked themselves in the back-shop of a store because it got suddenly attacked (or, at least, it looked like an attack) by a bunch of white rabbits with blue eyes yelling hysterically, he immediately saw it as a chance to use his abilities to help a little bit. There was a guy who was in the Marines, another person who took self-defense classes… basically, everyone knew how to attack and defend themselves.
Right now, Lazarus and all his group were fighting the rabbits by throwing boxes at them and tackling them in the ground. It was maybe a bit too brutal for situations like this one but at this very moment, everyone felt that it was needed.
And that's all ! I don't really have much to say, except that yes, some Raving Rabbids managed to reach the MCU, thanks to you-probably-can-guess-who. But don't worry, it'll probably go smoother than expected. Right ?
Anyway, as usual, if you liked what you've read so far, if something is not clear to you, if you have questions or any type of thing to say, please, consider leaving a comment, it would greatly help me to know if, in your eyes, I'm going in the right direction and if all of this entertains you ! New chapters will... probably not take a long time and I hope you'll still be here for the ride.
See you next time !
