Shadow Joestar-Thanks. The Force isn't exactly guiding to Ozpin. And yeah, I figured that Qrow could, and Vader can't exactly stop it.
54godamora- "Do not worry," Palpatine said. "I'm not going to kill Qrow Branwen. I have... other uses for him. Hehe-HAHAHAHAHA!"
Alastor Grimm-Rose: I have thought of that earlier. But I am open to suggestions.
Now on with the story!
Chapter 12-The Initiation Part 2: Team OMEN
Five minutes earlier...
"RUBY!" Weiss shouted, clinging to the Nevermore's back tightly "I TOLD YOU THIS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA!"
"We're fine, Weiss." Ruby replied before shouting over the wind. "STOP WORRYING!"
"I'M SO FAR BEYOND WORRYING!" This made Ruby blink in confusion. "In a good way?" she asked. "IN A BAD WAY! IN A REALLY BAD WAY!" Weiss snapped.
"WELL, WHY DON'T WE JUST JUMP?" Ruby asked. "WHAT?! ARE YOU INSANE?!"
Ruby didn't answer and jumped off the flying Grimm. She could hear Weiss screaming, "OH, YOU INSUFFERABLE LITTLE RED-!" Ruby decided to not remember what else the heiress said.
Present.
"How did you ride a Nevermore?" Oscar asked. "We, uh, found it asleep in the trees..." Ruby said nervously. Oscar hummed in thought. "Hmm... Sleeps in the trees..." he muttered as he written it in his Scroll.
"Did you seriously leave her up there?" Emerald asked as they looked up at the heiress who was still clinging to the Nevermore's talons. "I said 'jump'" Ruby said meekly.
Well, she clearly didn't jump! Neo snapped. "She's going to fall." Blake stated.
Ruby waved her hand dismissively. "She'll be fine."
Ren deadpanned, "She's falling." And sure enough, Weiss had slipped off the Grimm's talons and was falling from the sky at high speeds.
"Is one of us supposed to catch her?" Mercury asked. "Nah, Jaune's got it covered," Oscar replied, pointing at the said blonde who jumped from the tree and caught Weiss in his arms.
"Just dropping in?" Jaune asked with a teasing grin. They both looked down and saw how high they were. "Oh God," he said before they fell at high speeds. "NOO!" Jaune screamed before he hit the ground with a thud.
Both Neo and Oscar winced as Weiss landed on Jaune's back and there was an audible crack. "My hero," The Schnee heiress drawled sarcastically while looking at her nails. "My back..." Jaune groaned in pain.
"Aye, that's got to hurt," Oscar grimaced before he saw Pyrrha being backhanded by the Death Stalker and the Mistralian champion flew to their direction before landing at their feet. "Take it back, that's got to hurt." Oscar corrected, pointing at Pyrrha before helping her up.
"I'm fine," Pyrrha said with a dazed expression.
"Great. the gang's all here." Yang said. "Now we can die together!" Mood! Neo signed with an eyeroll. "Not if I can help it!" Ruby said before she charged toward the Death Stalker. "Ruby, wait!" Yang protested but the red reaper was already too far to hear her.
"Is she really charging in like that?" Oscar asked incredulously. "Apparently," Mercury replied. Oscar turned back to Yang. "Is she always like this?" he asked. Yang held her hands up. "She's just trying to prove herself." Oscar turned back to watch Ruby as an old memory came to mind to the Sith Apprentice.
Darth Vader stumbled back on the frozen lake and Oscar held his two lightsabers at the Sith's throat. It was near the end of winter and the two Sith had decided to train on a frozen lake near Oscar's farmland. The Apprentice couldn't help but grin smugly. "You're beaten. Yield." He spoke. But Lord Vader merely shook his helmet. "You haven't defeated me young one. You simply sacrificed sure footing for a killing blow." Oscar rose an eyebrow in confusion before Vader slammed his fist on the ice and it shattered underneath Oscar's feet. The Apprentice yelped as he fell into the icy water. Oscar struggled to climb out before the Sith Lord finally grabbed his hand and pulled him out.
"You fight well for one of your age, Apprentice." The cybernetic Sith Lord had said later while Oscar was warming himself. "You remind me of myself in my youth. However, that isn't entirely good. You have a need to prove yourself ready for the next level." Vader then activated Oscar's custom lightsaber. The crimson blade and cross guard blades hummed in the silence. "That will lead you to an early grave or put you in a suit similar to my own. Do you understand?" he asked.
"Yes, my Master." Oscar replied.
"She's going to get herself killed," Darth Rasco retorted, his eyes once again Sith yellow.
Ruby tried to slice the Death Stalker, but the Grimm's pincer was stronger than she thought. She bounced back and fell to the ground. "D-Don't worry!" she stuttered to her friends. "Totally fine."
"You don't look fine!" Emerald yelled back. "Ruby, just come back over here before you hurt yourself!" Oscar called out.
Ruby raised Crescent Rose up and fired a Dust round that ended up deflecting of the Grimm's armor. Okay, maybe Oscar has the right idea. Ruby thought before she turned back to the ruins.
Yang saw the Nevermore flying back to them. "Ruby! Behind you!" The blonde brawler shouted as she ran forward. The Nevermore screeched before it shot a barrage of feathers at the red reaper like spears. One of the feathers managed to pin Ruby's cape to the ground. Yang skidded to a halt to avoid being hit by the feathers.
The Arachnid and the Death Stalker began to creep to Ruby. Darth Rasco raised an eyebrow, both intrigued and confused. Why would both Grimm target the young girl? Wait, there was something about Ruby's mother that Raven Branwen knew. Of course! The Sith realized. Ruby has silver eyes, like her mother. She has the power to kill Grimm if she awakens her power.
Darth Rasco briefly considered his options. He could save the young silver eyed girl, or he could let her die. Or the teachers would intervene. The Sith Apprentice was pretty sure that the staff wouldn't let a student actually die on their watch.
No, Oscar shook his head. Ruby is much of a threat to Salem's Grimm as she is to my own and Vader's. The choice was obvious.
"Ruby!" Yang shouted before Oscar froze the Arachnid with a Frozen Clock Glyph and Weiss sped over and used Ice Dust to freeze the Death Stalker's tail before it reached Ruby.
As Oscar walked over to Ruby, he heard Weiss criticize her. "You are so childish!" she snapped as Ruby slowly opened her eyes. "And dim witted! And hyperactive. And DON'T get me started on your fighting style." the Schnee heiress ranted.
"While one usually says, "your welcome" when saving a life from certain death," Oscar cuts down the feather with Chaos Bringer and caught Ruby before she fell by her hand. "I agree with Weiss's criticism here, Crater Face." he pulled her to her feet. "That was reckless."
"I see that now," Ruby said in a sad tone. "I'm sorry." she held her head.
"Just don't show off again and I'll be nicer." Weiss said. "I'm not trying to show off! I'm just trying to prove you that I can do this." Ruby replied defensively. Oscar looked at her with sympathy. "You don't have to." Oscar patted her on the head.
"You're fine." with that said, Weiss walked back to the ruins. Ruby sighed and muttered, "Normal knees." Oscar raised an eyebrow at that as he walked back to the others. Then she looked behind the ice wall. "Wow!" she exclaimed as the Death Stalker struggled to pull itself free.
Suddenly Yang ran forward and hugged Ruby tightly. "So glad you're okay!" Yang exclaimed. "Glad to be okay," Ruby wheezed.
"Uh, how long will that last?" Mercury asked, gesturing to the frozen spider Grimm. "With my Aura down, I'd say fifteen minutes."
A distant screech from the Nevermore caused many to look in its direction. "That thing's circling back!" Jaune exclaimed worriedly. "What are we going to do?"
"There's no sense in dilly dallying." Weiss said. "Our objective is right there," the heiress pointed to the chess pieces.
Ruby nodded in agreement. "She's right. Our mission is to grab a relic and make it back to the cliff. There's no point in fighting these things."
"Run and live." Jaune declared. "That's an idea I can get behind."
"Run and fight to live," Oscar added. "You all bring up good points, but these Grimm are not going to let us walk out of here that easily." he said, gesturing to the Grimm.
With that said the students each grabbed a chess piece from the pedestals.
Ren then saw the ice cracking around the Death Stalker's tail. "Time we left." he said. Ruby, Jaune and Oscar nodded. "Let's go." Ruby said before they all took off in the direction of the cliffside.
Somewhere in Argus, Anima...
Panting, Qrow Branwen ran as fast as he could through the crowded streets of Argus. He paused to catch his breath. He looked around in a slow 360 degree spin. After catching his breath, he continued to run down the street before he saw a theater across the street. He ran up to the ticket booth as he pulled out a necklace with a large wooden necklace and held it at the clerk. The woman looked at him wearily before letting him in.
The veteran Huntsman walked through the building before he walked to the side of an elderly woman who watched the ballerinas dance on the stage. "Stop!" she suddenly declared. "Take a break."
Qrow sat down in front of her while her crimson red eyes studied him. "Qrow." she acknowledged. "Esmeralda," he replied. "I heard you retired from this life, why are you here?" she asked. "Official Huntsmen business?"
"I seek passage to Atlas." Qrow said. "Why Atlas?" Esmeralda inquired. "I have recently gotten had a bounty put on my head. I want to find answers."
The elder stared at him before sighing. "Very well. There will be a boat at the docks ready for you at sundown." Esmeralda said. "Atlas personal will be blind at that hour." Qrow didn't argue. He could wait that long.
The Huntsman ran out of the building before seeing a group of men waiting down the street. "Great," Qrow rolled his eyes before he ran the other direction.
Back in the Emerald Forest...
The teens came across a stone bridge with more ancient ruins as the Nevermore landed on the tower at the other side. "Well that's just great," Yang remarked. A crash was heard. The teens turned back to the forest and saw the Death Stalker and the Arachnid crashing through the trees.
"Oh even more great!" Mercury said. Oscar narrowed his and pointed at Emerald and Mercury. "You two are with Neo and I." He said. "We will take care of Daddy Long Legs." He turned to the Spider Grimm and twirled Chaos Bringer in his hand. "The rest of you, take down the Nevermore and the Death Stalker. We'll join you shortly."
With that said, Oscar and other three charged toward the Arachnid.
The Grimm screeched at them before shooting globs of spider silk at them. "Evasive maneuvers!" Oscar said as he ran to the side to dodge to silk. Neo jumped forward and shielded herself with Hush.
Mercury kicked one of the legs while Emerald tangled her chain whips around the other three. Oscar pulled out his sword and sliced the Grimm's other legs. The Spider screeched as it fell in front of Oscar. Oscar shook his head in disappointment and slammed his axe down in between its beady red eyes. The Grimm armor barely cracked. Oscar brought the hammer down twice before he was hit in the torso by the spider silk. He flew back from the impact and his back collided to the stone wall. His left arm was immobile and his torso was webbed to the wall.
He looked down at the web before tossing his weapon to Mercury. "Mercury, you and Emerald cut off its legs." He ordered. "Neo, take out its eyes." He slid a knife out of his right sleeve and began to cut through the silk glob.
Mercury, Emerald and Neo did as Oscar had said before Oscar was finally cut free. He twirled his knife before running under the Spider Grimm and began to stab its underbelly again and again. He did this five more times before the Arachnid let a final screech before falling on its side. Neo offered Oscar a hand up as the Grimm turned to ash.
He turned back to the others. Jaune, Pyrrha, Ren and Nora were fighting the Death Stalker. Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang were against the Nevermore.
"Em, Merc. Help Jaune and his team." Oscar said. "Neo, we're going to ride a Nevermore." Emerald and Mercury looked at him in disbelief while Neo let out a resigned sigh.
The siblings ran to the bridge and watched the Nevermore circling around the tower. "Wait," Oscar muttered to Neo. "Wait..." The Nevermore dived toward the bridge's supporting pillars. "Now!" Neo and Oscar turned around and ran to the side of the bridge before jumping off and landing on the Nevermore's back. "Whoo-Hoo!" Oscar yelled.
Meanwhile Emerald and Mercury joined Jaune's side. "Got any ideas how to kill Scorpio here?" Emerald asked. Jaune looked back and forth for a minute. "Hold back one of its claws with your chains." He said to Emerald before turning to Mercury. "You and Pyrrha aim for its eyes."
The two nodded before splitting up. Emerald ran to the other side of the Death Stalker. She dug her feet into the ground and launched her chain whips around the Grimm's right claw.
The Stalker screeched in annoyance before its eyes were bombarded with Dust rounds from Mercury and Pyrrha. "Ren, the stinger." Jaune said to the black haired boy. Ren nodded before charging and jumping onto the giant stinger. He held tightly as he fired Stormflower at its base.
Pyrrha then threw her spear into the Death Stalker's remaining eye. The Grimm screeched and flung Ren off and he flew to the ruins behind Emerald.
"Ren!" Nora cried out in worry. "Merc, I could use some help here!" Emerald called out.
As Mercury ran over to Emerald, Jaune noticed the Grimm's stinger was tangling on a piece of skin. "Pyrrha!" he said. Knowing what he planned, the Mistral champion replied, "Done!" She threw her shield and it sliced the stinger off. While the Death Stalker writhed in pain, the stinger embedded itself in its armored back.
Mercury grabbed onto Emerald's chains and pulled with her as he saw Nora jump onto Pyrrha's shield with her hammer before she was launched high into the air.
Nora laughed to herself before she fired her grenade launcher and used its momentum to spin back down. She slammed Magnhild down onto the stinger and it stabbed into the Death Stalker's flesh. The impact shattered the remnants of the bridge and launched the other teens to the cliff. Jaune landed on his face. Nora landed on her bum and Pyrrha landed in a superhero landing. Ren had got up to walk to their side before collapsing in exhaustion.
Emerald and Mercury looked at one another impressed before turning back to the Nevermore.
Oscar crawled up the Grimm bird's back to its face. "Hey Big Bird." he said. "You got something in your eye!" he stabbed his knife into the Nevermore's eyes. The flying Grimm screeched in pain.
Neo looked ahead and saw Yang jumping off the tower and into the Nevermore's open beak. The blonde brawler held the bird's beak open and fired Dust round after Dust round down the Grimm's throat.
"I! HOPE! YOU'RE! HUNGRY!" Yang shouted between each shot. Oscar looked at Yang before seeing that the Nevermore was going to crash into the canyon wall.
"Abandon ship!" Oscar cried out. The three of them jumped off the Nevermore before it collided into the wall.
Oscar landed next to Ruby. "That was fun." he said as Yang landed. "Hell yeah it was!" They looked up to see Neo floating down. Oscar shook his head with a fond smile.
Weiss sped forward and used Ice Dust to pin the Nevermore's tail down in place.
Blake and Yang stretched the former's kurasimga ribbon before Ruby placed herself in the middle and Weiss pulled it back with a black glyph.
"Impressive." Oscar muttered. "Thanks." Ruby said before turning her gaze to Weiss. "Think you can make the shot?"
"Hmph, Can I?" Weiss asked confidently. Ruby turned to her, nervous. "Can you?"
"Of course I can!"
"Fire!" Oscar shouted and Weiss launched Ruby at the Nevermore. The silver eyed girl hooked her scythe around the Grimm's neck. Weiss placed numerous glyphs that went up the canyon wall. Using her Semblance, Ruby ran up the wall, dragging the Nevermore with her.
Once she reached the top, Ruby sliced the Grimm's head off.
"Most impressive," Oscar commented.
"Wow," Jaune said in awe.
"Well, that was a thing," Yang stated to Blake.
Emerald looked at drop off. "How are we going to get to the other side?" she asked. Mercury looked down. "Oh."
"Russel Thrush. Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark. Cardin Winchester." Ozpin said to the four boys. "The four of you will be known as Team CRDL. Led by Cardin Winchester."
The students cheered and clapped. But Darth Rasco scowled. "Brutes." he muttered.
"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos and Nora Valkyrie." He said as the said students walked on stage. "From now on, you will be known as Team JNPR. Led by... Jaune Arc."
Jaune looked surprised while Pyrrha punched him in the shoulder. Which knocked him off his feet.
Lord Rasco narrowed his eyes before shrugging, impassive. The kid may have thought the Death Stalker was a relic but he helped take the Grimm down.
He stayed silent as Ruby and Yang were put on a team with Weiss and Blake. RWBY. He felt that was a play on words. Then Ruby was named team leader. He could tell that her partner was now growing jealous.
"And finally Oscar Pine, Mercury Black, Emerald Sustrai and Neapolitan Pine." Ozpin called them up. "The four of you brought the black pawn pieces." Considering who they worked for, it was fitting. "From this day forward, you will be known as Team OMEN. Led by... Oscar Pine."
The Sith Apprentice moved to bow his head but paused. He sensed a presence that felt like... Cinder Fall. He turned his head to the crowd of cheering students. He scanned the crowd before seeing a young woman with brown hair and dark skin lighter than Emerald. The Fall Maiden, Darth Rasco realized.
"Looks like this is shaping to be an interesting year." Ozpin remarked.
"I couldn't agree more, Professor." Oscar said with a grin.
Amber narrowed her eyes upon seeing Emerald and Mercury. Then her eyes landed on the boy, Oscar. She feels as if she had meet him before.
"You're no Maiden. You're just an arrogant little girl."
Her eyes widened in shock.
Back in Argus...

Hiding in an antique shop was not what Qrow would have chosen if he had other options. But he dropped his weapon a while back. Plus, it works here. He ran all the way to the back of the store. He looked the back door and ran up the staircase. He reached the final floor and locked the door. He walked to a display case of pre-Great War guns. They'll have to do.
He channeled his remaining Aura into his fist and punched through the glass. He could hear the bounty hunters in the stairwell now. He tried to put the Dust rounds in them but the revolver was too small. He gritted his teeth and began to disassemble the gun.
"No where to run, Mr. Branwen!" One of the bounty hunters called from the bottom floor.
Acting quick, Qrow began to build a gun of his own from the guns on display. He held the gun close to his ear and tested the spin of the revolver. Satisfied, he turned around as a hunter opened the door and shot him in the face like a gunslinger from Vacuo. The man fell down with a hole in his head.
"Ha, it worked!" Qrow exclaimed in pride, looking at the gun. He morphed in his name's sake and flew the rafters.
After finding a perch, he changed back to his human form as the other hunters entered the room and aimed his gun. He killed three men before jumping down in an alley. He waited for another hunter to show before he grabbed the young man's arms before he could pull the trigger and flipped him on his back. Another hunter close to Qrow's age walked in the alley with a gun but Qrow grabbed his arm and slammed the man's elbow on his knee.
The older hunter was forced to drop his gun before Qrow grabbed him by his jacket and threw him off his feet. The younger man stood up and tried to shoot Qrow but the Huntsman pushed the gun away from him. He then pulled the gun of the man's hand and knife handed him in the throat.
The younger hunter recovered quickly and stopped Qrow from shooting him twice. As they fought for the gun, Qrow saw the older man reaching for his gun on the floor. He kicked the gun away and then kicked the man in the face. Qrow got a little distracted and ended up kicked the chest and face by the younger man. His back collided with the shelf behind. He gritted his teeth, ignoring the punches and slammed the man into the shelf behind him before flipping him on his back.
Then the older hunter punched Qrow in the ribs before wrapping his arms around Qrow's armpits. Qrow struggled to get out of the hold before being slammed into another glass case twice. Qrow rolled down and threw the man off his back. The Huntsman elbowed him in the face. He tried to do the same again but his elbow was blocked. Qrow reeled his fist back and punched the man in the groin.
Both men got back to their feet. Qrow noticed the man's gaze went past him. "What are you looking at?" He quickly turned his head to look past him. In the glass case behind him and behind the man were knives on display. "Knives?" he said before his eyes widened. Knives! He punched through the glass and grabbed a knife while the older man did the same.
The two entered a knife fight. Qrow stabbed his opponent in the back of his leg. Seeing another hunter show up, Qrow threw his knife and it impaled the man in the shoulder.
While the new comer pulled the knife out, Qrow forced the older man to stab himself in the stomach. The younger man then jumped in the air and drop kicked him in the chest.
Qrow fell on his back with a thud. "Ow..." he said as he sat up. He scooted back and spread his legs just in time as a knife flew and imbedded the floor where his groin was a few seconds ago. Wow. Cutting it close there. Realizing that he sounded like his brother in-law, Qrow quickly grabbed the knife and threw it back. The younger man ducked and the knife hit the new comer instead.
Breaking more glass cases, Qrow grabbed more knives as the fight went on. While the knives bounced off, he could feel his Aura getting lower so he had to channel Aura into his throws. Luckily, the other hunters were in same situation. But some knives still bounced off them.
The younger man charged at Qrow but the Huntsman stabbed him in the stomach and used him as a shield as knives flew at him. He kicked the man's feet and threw a knife at his groin and then another at the new comer. Another new comer came around the corner and Qrow quickly threw two knifes into the man's stomach.
Grabbing more knives, Qrow threw them one by one into the last new comer's leg, stomach, chest and eye socket. The younger man tried to shoot Qrow but the Huntsman threw a knife into the man's wrist, stomach, chest and finally throat.
Two more hunters came at him with two hatchets. Qrow ducked under their attacks before he grabbed one man's arm and broke it. He punched the man in the throat followed by a kick to the balls. One at a time, Qrow pushed the men down to the floor. He turned around and pulled a knife out of the young man's stomach.
He turned to face a bald man. He caught the man's fist, slashed across his stomach twice before turning around and shoulder throwing him to the ground. He then stabbed the knife into the man's skull before hammering it down with his own fist.
The last hunter came at him with a knife and managed to break through his Aura. Qrow growled and gritted his teeth at the pain before he grabbed the man's arm and forced the knife to point at his own eye. Qrow pinned him to a shelf and putt all his weight to shove the knife into the struggling hunter's eye.
Qrow sighed in exhaustion as the last hunter fell to the floor. He looked around to double check if any of them were still alive. Sure enough, he saw the older hunter pulling a knife out of his stomach and struggling to reach for his gun. Qrow looked at him with pity before he picked up an axe and threw at the man's head.
"I need a drink," Qrow muttered as he walked away. He picked up the revolver he had earlier. You know what? I like this gun. I'm keeping it.
With that in mind, Qrow walked out of the antique shop and flew to the docks.
"I hoped you enjoyed your stay." Esmeralda said to Qrow as he got on an airship. "More or less." The Huntsman replied before reaching into his pocket and gave the elder lady four gold coins.
"Esmeralda." He said. The elder nodded back. "Qrow." And before long, Qrow left Argus. He leaned back in his seat and brought his flask to his lips. What a lovely and eventful week this has been.
Whew! That was a long one. This would have been finished earlier but I had to go to church. Which I learned that a babysitter of mine (Who I called her Grandma.) had passed away. So my mind wasn't in the game for a while before I finally put my feelings aside and finished writing this chapter.
So I hope you like it.
So I'm sure some of you know that I've written a crossover of RWBY and John Wick with Qrow being the Baba Yaga. Right? Well I've decided to include the same for Qrow in this story. Which is why he was evenly matched with Darth Vader without the Force in the last chapter. Now to clear some things from how Neo had called Raven the "Boogeyman" before Darth Vader showed up was because Qrow had retired being the "one you sent to kill the fucking boogeyman."
On the other hand, I've learned that the teaser trailer for John Wick Chapter 4 was released. I'm already hyped for it. I can't wait for next year.
Now if I were able to make an AMV for this story on YouTube, what song do you think would be perfect?
I got
"Control" by Hasley
"See What I've Become" by Zack Hemesey.
"I'm So Sorry" by Imagine Dragons or "Enemy."
And "Paint It Black" by Hidden Citizens.
You got any ides? Just fruit for thought.
See you guys later.
Stay safe.
May the Force be with you.
