On the Night Of Eternal Darkness, Spyro must prevent Gaul, The Ape King, from resurrecting the Dark Master. I do not own the Legend Of Spyro series. I only own my OCs. Whirlwind fulfill Cynder’s role in this story (Ronald x Cynder, Ignitus x Aquafa, Terrador x Minerallayas, Liefvos x Siltia). Please do not read this until you read The Legend Of Spyro: A Shining New Beginning.

82. Chapter 82

Gaul fell on the ground.

"You've done very well. But… But… But…" Gaul said.

Then Gaul got back up and Spyro was shocked.

"But you haven't won yet!" Gaul said.

Then Gaul attacked Spyro with his staff, sending Spyro flying in the air and then landing in the middle of the first half of the Throne Arena.

Then Spyro stood up.

"Ugh. That hurts." Spyro said.

Then Whirlwind regained consciousness and woke up and stood up.

Then Whirlwind flew around the Throne Arena until she was lined up with Gaul.

"Hahahahaha! Foolish dragon! I told you that you were no match! Why don't you just give up?" Gaul said.

"That's the one thing that I will never do, Gaul!" Spyro said.

"Then so be it! You have asked for your end!" Gaul said.

"I can't watch! But I have to!" Sparx said.

Then, when Gaul was about to finish off Spyro, Whirlwind shot out a Wind Ball and it hit Gaul, preventing him from doing anything to Spyro.

"Ugh. Who did that?!" Gaul asked.

There was no answer.

"No matter. This time, I really would end you!" Gaul said.

Then, when Gaul was about to finish off Spyro again, Whirlwind shot out a Wind Blast and it hit Gaul, preventing him from doing anything to Spyro.

"Ugh. Who did that?! Show yourself!" Gaul said.

Then Whirlwind flew down and landed on the ground beside Spyro on his right side.

Then Whirlwind attacked Gaul by shooting out a Wind Blast.

Then Whirlwind attacked Gaul by shooting out a Wind Blast.

Then Whirlwind attacked Gaul by shooting out a Wind Blast.

"Whirlwind! I should have known! You're lucky that the Dark Master isn't here to watch your betrayal! But I should give you a reward for your clever tactics." Gaul said.

Then Gaul pointed his staff at Whirlwind.

Then Gaul shot dark magic at Whirlwind, disabling her elements, and making her lie down.

"Hahahahaha! Foolish unicorn and dragon hybrid! You shouldn't have done that!" Gaul said.

Then Whirlwind got back up.

"I would rather be on the good side with Spyro than rejoin the Dark Master." Whirlwind said with seriousness.

"Then you would die with him. Defeat them!" Gaul demanded.

Then four Big Apes attacked Spyro and Whirlwind but Spyro and Whirlwind managed to defeat them.

Then four more Big Apes were about to attack until they were stopped by Gaul.

"Don't touch them! They are mine!" Gaul said.

"So you display some feeble resistance knowing that it's futile?" Gaul asked.

"You expected anything less?" Spyro asked.

"Humph. You leave me no choice. I will defeat the two of you here and then kill the two of you here. It makes no difference to me." Gaul said.

"Agh…" Whirlwind said.

"The odds are overwhelmingly stacked against you. How much resistance can you serve up? Show me!" Gaul said.

The next chapter is a boss battle.
