Hello, my readers. I apologize for the disappearance, but I entered finals of my last university year, and then came summer, and I´m incapable of writing when I'm dying of heat. Good Lord is it hot here. I have been melting for a whole month, and I have barely written as much as I hoped …. But, I have written quite a bit still.

Sadly, this is not an update, apologies for that. But an announcement.

REWRITE

Yeah, I know, I have only written 5 chapters…but I wanted to change a few things. Most of them expressions and things I found cringe while re-reading. But I also came to a crossroads in how to write this. I think I might have overshot with the depth of the story, in the sense I wanted also to include elements from the Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft, the Elders Scrolls, etc.. and I think I might be eliminating that.

You see, I had a thousand ideas about how to include it….but it felt… like cheating, you know? And underwhelming and chaotic to have so many extra characters on the story (also, way too many types of Orcs). So I decided to focus on only ASOIAF and Warhammer Fantasy, with heavy historical inspiration, for example, Arthurian myths, for OC creation (specially bretonnian knights), but limit the universes included to only those two, with maybe some slight inspiration (I'm not saying we will have a Helm´s deep style siege, but I'm not denying it).

Unless everyone starts saying they want me to include them. It would be hard, and I feel it would lose some of the "realism" ASOIAF has, which, although would be warped by Warhammer, would still hold a bit of it, but hey, I'm a writer. I live to please. It also makes Sirius's writing more consistent, allows me to flex the creative muscle much more, and makes me put more effort, which is always a good thing.

So, I ask for your patience, and understanding on the matter. Chapters 1 to 4 have all been rewritten, and chapter 5 will be easy to do so, so next week MAYBE I'll get it done and reposted, but I might wait for another week more until posting it, you know, cheeks and yours's truly lack of self-confidence. And Chapter 4 of "Of Maidens and Knights" is 75% done.

Another number of sure and possible changes:

Antywr leaves the building, substituted by another blade of my own creation, with quite the backstory, and also, much more focused on the Fantasy aspect. It felt cheap copying a weapon from 40k and just…posting it there, so I changed it.

I toyed with changing Sirius's name. I used that one because Sirius is an astral body, a star,, the brightest in the night sky (wink wink, reference, wink wink) and it felt kind of in line with House Dayne´s motif, the stars. Nop, it's not a Harry Potter reference. Damon was thought of and discarded, way too close to the daemon. Cyrus, which is the name I use for most main characters OC, but felt also kind of… by the face. So, for now, I will stay with Sirius.

Segments referring to other universes have been changed or eliminated. You will get many more Warhammer Fantasy characters…. And some extra stuff.

And that´s it….kind of underwhelming, I know, but I wanted to let you discover the small changes by yourself. So, I hope you all understand a writer's own critics of his work and have patience with me. I hope to deliver a good enough story.

And I either do it right, or I won't do it at all.
