Nightfall
"What a pairing," Sitka's father said, patting his son's back and pushing him into Moana.
"Uh," she grunted.
Sitka positioned himself in front of Moana, blocking her from his father, "I'm sorry," he whispered into her ear.
She looked up at his face.
The families went into the village's center and started to have a celebration. People danced, ate food, and laughed with one another. Kenai and Denahi were laughing with their wives and smiling with one another. Moana was sitting in the throne chair, she looked next to her to see her family having fun. She couldn't help but smile at the sight even though…. she didn't want this marriage. This arranged marriage.
She then looked to her right where Sitka was sitting. He looked disinterested and uncomfortable even more than she did. His father turned to him, grabbed his arm, and whispered something harsh to him. Sitka glared at his father, and then pushed back from his seat.
"Sit-" his father whisper-hissed at him, "Sit down,"
Sitka ignored his father and walked around the main table, exiting the party. His brothers noticed but knew him well enough to leave him be. Moana watched but didn't know what to do.
I don't know how to be a wife. I barely know this man. He's my husband but a stranger.
"Moana," her mother's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, "Go talk to him,"
Moana shifted, "Mom, I don't…know him. Even at all, what do I say?"
Her mom smiled, "Ask him if he's okay, and then change the subject. Talk about something you have in common," she said.
Moana was about to protest but she…kind of wanted to leave the party. She stood up, adjusting her beautiful dress, and started to make her way after Sitka. She followed his footprints to the shoreline where he was standing on a high rock.
She looked up at him, watching him closely as she got closer. She slowed down and started to notice his features. His long beautiful black hair with those two little strands that dangle in front of his face, his large front chest with tight pecks, his muscular body that shaped him out like a God, and his gorgeous face with that cute nose.
Moana shook her head out of her thoughts just as Sitka held his arms out next to him.
"Sit…," she started to say but then he just fell forward.
She gasped, "SITKA!" she screamed.
She ran towards the high rock for him until her eyes were suddenly blinded by a golden glow. She blinked a few times and then gasped at the sight of a large golden, spiritual Eagle soaring through the sky. Large brown wings, see though, and just big.
"Uh," she gasped but then smiled. "Wow,"
Everyone from the party looked up and stared in amazement at Sitka's eagle. His brothers smiled at his form but their father looked rather annoyed. Moana got closer to the rock just as Sitka landed right in front of her. She looked on in amazement, and he cocked his eagle head to the side. He then returned to normal and gulped at her.
"That's your Quirk?" she asked.
"Ye-yeah, I forgot how big my form is, it's…..sorry," he shook his head.
"Sorry?" Moana started to ask until they both heard shuffling behind them.
"Sitka!" his father shouted.
Moana looked over her shoulder at their families approaching.
"I told you not to use that damn Quirk when we were here. You'll scare your wife," he snapped.
Moana shook her head, "Scare?"
Sitka's father turned up his face in confusion until Moana threw her arm out in front of her in a circular motion. A huge towering wave of water came from the left thanks to the water puddles near them. She had made it bigger and it was in between the two Quirk users and their families. Thanks to the moon's glow, the wave looked enchanting and pure beauty. The families gasped in amazement at Moana's ability. Sitka, himself, gasped and smiled.
"That's incredible," he said.
She turned to him, still holding the wave up, and smiled in glee. Her smile then faded, and she looked past Sitka to something behind him. He looked over his shoulder, and his eyes widened.
Rafiki's portal was opening right in front of them, showing the Pride Lands, and reciting Mufasa's words.
Quirks. Welcome. Freedom.
Sitka and Moana both looked on at the land, their eyes watering for it. Like a predator sees its prey and was ready to pounce.
China
Mulan walked across the pavement of her small town, in her black dress and purple hooded cloak over her head. However, people still noticed her as she walked. A few smiled at her, and a few whispered pointing at her, and others still turned away from her. She closed her eyes in irritation.
Saving my town from a brute didn't do much when it was so bloody.
Reopening her eyes, she found herself walking up to the portal that appeared days before. Still hovering in the middle of the town. There were a handful of children around the portal, pointing to it and poking it with sticks. She got closer, making the children scurry away as she stared at it.
"Mulan!" she heard her mother's voice.
She quickly turned around to her mother and father approaching her.
"You seem curious, my daughter," Fa Zhou said.
"A bit," Mulan shifted.
"Why? It's just a far-off place," her mother interjected, depleting Mulan's hopes, "Who knows who is there,"
Zhou, noticing his daughter's shift, smiled, "My wife, our daughter is interested in a place that has people just like her…with Quirks,"
"But who knows what dangers come with that!" her mother spat.
Mulan dropped her head but then lifted it as if to say something to her mother. Until they were interrupted by the sound of hooves coming their way. She whipped her head around so fast, that her hood flew off. Shang came galloping up to them on his white horse.
She waited as he hopped down from the horse, and straightened up his posture.
"Hi," he said.
"Hi," she said.
Mulan's parents grinned at each other.
"Um," Shang looked behind him to the portal, "Have you-?" he pointed to it.
She shook her head, "If you're asking what I think you are, I haven't….," she looked to her parents, "I don't think,"
"Think what? You aren't serious about going through that portal!" her mother shouted.
Mulan shifted and gulped. Shang noticed her uneasiness.
"My father feels the same," he said.
Mulan looked up at him, "Is he okay? He had some pretty nasty wounds,"
"He's doing better yes, he already wants to go back into battle," he explained.
Her eyes widened, "He's a trooper," she said.
He grinned a bit, "He's a hardhead,"
She smiled, and he cracked a shy grin.
The Pride Lands
Rafiki walked back and forth past the Quirk users as they used their powers more efficiently. Phillip was making bigger and bigger shields. While bouncing Aladdin around in his shadow form.
"You're getting better at holding that form," Phillip said.
"It's tougher than it looks," Aladdin said.
They both then started to jump kicking at the ground.
"Dammit! Quasimodo knock it off!" Phillip kicked away a bunch of tiny creations made by Quasimodo.
Quasimodo started to giggle until he saw green dust in front of him. He covered his nose and fanned it away. Aurora giggled, hopped over, and hugged him sweetly. Quasimodo patted her back with a smile.
"Aurora, do I have to burn you?" Anna asked with a smile.
"Just don't scorch my beautiful hair," Aurora flicked her hair.
Anna cracked up laughing, Elsa smiled from a distance at her sister grinning.
"Elsa!" Belle called to her, "Come on!"
Elsa smiled and threw small snowballs at Belle who sliced through them with her sword until one completely dropped on her head.
"Uh," Belle grunted but Elsa started to laugh.
"So! Not funny!" Belle stomped.
Rafiki smiled from a distance and cleared his throat. He started to cough a few more times until he reached for his throat. Kopa, Kiara, and Simba all turned to him noticing his continued coughing.
"Rafiki?" Simba questioned.
Mufasa, up on Pride Rock, looked down at his children and grandchildren and then his best friend. Rafiki continued to cough violently until he felt his nose. Blood, again. Phillip and the other Quirk users turned to notice. Quasimodo hurried up to Rafiki with Rapunzel as the lions stood up growing more alert.
Rafiki then coughed violently, blood coming from his mouth.
"RAFIKI!" Mufasa bellowed.
Quasimodo and Rapunzel gripped Rafiki as he collapsed into their arms.
"Rafiki, sir, what's wrong?" Quasimodo begged.
"I told you this would happen," Rapunzel said.
The other Quirk users hurried over along with the lions as everyone rallied around Rafiki.
"Uh," he groaned in pain.
"Why are you coughing up blood?" Simba questioned.
"Are you sick?" Aurora questioned.
"He's burning up," Quasimodo said.
"Back up," Elsa said, she moved past the lions and pressed her hand on Rafiki's forehead to give him some cool ice.
"My friend, what's wrong with you? Is what they say true? Are you sick?" Mufasa questioned.
Rafiki closed his eyes, "I'm sorry my friend,"
Mufasa's big lion eyes watered, "How could you be so stupid!? Do you think I could still possibly live if I lost my best friend?! Again?!"
"Mufasa," Sarabi cooed.
"Father," Simba said.
"I warned you," Rapunzel said to him.
"What?" Mufasa questioned.
"Rapunzel please," Rafiki begged.
"I'm not going to lie to the being that gave us, Quirk users, shelter. Rafiki, you're sick if you keep using your portals so much, you'll get sicker. You could die!"
"What?" the Quirk users exclaimed.
"You can't be serious?" Simba shuddered, "Rafiki, you're like my uncle I didn't get, how could you do something that put your life in danger! Moses would never want that!"
Rafiki sighed, "I'm sorry, my portals have taken a lot out of me over the years. I just want to get the other users here….so the world could know the true power of Quirk users. So, evil won't rise over everything,"
Mufasa moved closer and nudged Rafiki, "I need you here my friend, we can find another way to get the users here,"
"How? I'm the only one with a suitable quirk to transport beings and objects. No one else here can do that," Rafiki said.
Cinderella's eyes then suddenly turned green, staring at Rafiki.
"Cinderella?" Belle questioned.
She snapped out of it, and glared at Rafiki, "You're about to do something,"
Rafiki looked confused at her until he heard a sudden ringing in his ears.
China
"So, I'm not the only one who wants to go through the portal?" Shang asked.
"No, you're not. I want to go. The land is full of Quirk users like us. It's almost too good to be true but I rather take that than being locked up like a weapon until ready to be used," Mulan explained.
Shang nodded in agreement with her. They stared at the portal but then noticed it was starting to shrink.
Shang then looked on in confusion, "It's shrinking,"
"Is..is it closing?" Mulan gasped.
Shang panicked. Wait a minute, if it goes, we're stuck. I won't know what they mean by the word…..' Hero'.
The Pride Lands
Rafiki could hear their conversation through the portal and his eyes widened hearing what they were saying.
"Rafiki," Cinderella growled.
Too late, he slammed his hand on the ground making it glow purple. Strengthening the portals' powers.
"Did you just-?" Kopa questioned.
"He strengthened the portals," Cinderella answered.
"You are such a hardhead!" Sarabi barked, "We just said we need you here and you-" she hissed.
"I'm sorry but I can't just leave the users with no way over here," Rafiki said.
Rapunzel reached into her head and pulled a strand of her hair. It glowed its beautiful color with its healing essence. She then shoved it into Rafiki's mouth.
"MM!" he gasped.
"Uh?" the others all looked on with confused, shocked, but funny faces.
"That's the last time I'm gonna heal you," Rapunzel said with a smug face.
Rafiki coughed a few times and made a funny face like he ate something sour. Quasimodo couldn't hold back his laughter.
"That's not funny!" Rafiki stabbed his staff into the ground a few times.
Everyone then cracked up laughing.
"Rafiki, lessen the times on the portals," Mufasa said.
"But-"
"DO IT NOW!" Mufasa bellowed in his father's voice, making everyone jump.
"Yes sir," Rafiki joked.
"Um," Aladdin said, "I think I know a way to help the users make up their minds. But I'm gonna need you to broadcast a different message,"
Rafiki turned up his face in confusion.
China
Shang was sitting with his face on his knees, in front of the portal. Mulan walked up to him and sat down next to him.
"Are you gonna stay out here?" she asked.
"I just wanted to see if the portal would come back," he said, not looking at her.
She was about to respond until the portal started to reopen in front of them.
"Ask and you shall receive," she said, pulling on his arm.
They both stood up from the ground as the portal reopened. However, in the frame, came Aladdin. He gulped before he started to speak.
"Hi, my name is Aladdin. I have a Quirk, it's a black mist of sort," he held up his hands letting the black mist pour out of them, "It looks scary and a little frightening. Where I came from, people feared me because my Quirk looks scary. I was a street rat, using my Quirk to quickly sneak out of situations or mess with guards who were abusing others. I was captured by someone who wanted to use my Quirk for their gain and tortured even,"
Mulan and Shang listened intensely, feeling Aladdin's pain.
"When I came to Pride Rock. Mufasa, the lion you've probably heard before, was unbelievably kind to us. I thought it was a joke at first, the word hero, but he was dead serious. Here, we have the freedom to use our Quirks and learn to make them stronger,"
Aladdin moved aside to show Belle behind him. She aimed her bow and arrow shooting at Phillip who projected a shield out in front of him. Then Elsa practiced her snow and ice with Quasimodo who was using his creations to block it.
"That's cold!" he stomped.
Elsa giggled a bit. Aurora blew her green poison from her lips towards Peter who immediately flew into the air.
"You're not getting me with that!"
Aurora then tried for her sister, Wendy who ran away playfully.
"TinkerBell! Help me!" Wendy called playfully.
TinkerBell, who was floating above them, sprinkled her golden dust to make Wendy float and escape her sister.
"Heyyyyy," Aurora said, making the two younger girls laugh.
Mulan and Shang couldn't help but smile.
"We're free here. You're free to use your Quirks," Aladdin said.
He turned next to him to Jasmine joining him. She licked her lips wanting to speak so Aladdin moved to the side to let her in.
"My quirk lets me turn into the characteristics of creatures but not full form. I want to use my Quirk to help my father to make his land safe again so he won't have to worry about keeping me locked up. I want to be my father's hero," her voice cracked.
Mulan felt a tear escape her eye.
"My daughter," Zhou rested his hand on her shoulder.
She jumped a bit and turned to him, quickly wiping her tear, "Father,"
He smiled, "Go," he said.
Her eyes widened, "Father?"
"I see the look in your eyes. I'll talk to your mother. I don't want you to regret not going if it's something you want to do. Just come back to us at some point my daughter," Zhou sniffed.
"Baba," she hugged him sweetly.
Shang smiled.
Zhou pulled back and faced Shang, "I will talk to your father as well,"
Shang's eyes rose in hope, "Really?"
Zhou bowed his head, "You have my word. Now go, before I change my mind," He joked.
Mulan smiled and turned. Zhou watched as they both joined hands and stepped into the portal, tears pouring from his eyes.

Sitka was still along the beach; he had just finished watching the portal's message. He dropped his head and looked down at his arms.
"You want to go, don't you?" Moana's voice came behind him.
He jumped, startled, and turned around to face her. He straightened up and dusted the sand off of his body.
"Sorry, the message is-,"
"Heartwarming," she answered.
He looked into her eyes and studied her. "You want to go too,"
She gulped and looked away. "You and I can't abandon our tribes," she said.
He looked down at the ground, "I know, but I feel…trapped. A freak as my father says,"
She licked her lips.
"He'll never accept me. Not with my quirk or otherwise. I just…don't want this,"
"You'd leave?" she asked, "We're married, you'd leave me here?"
He walked up to her and gripped her hands, "Come with me,"
She looked into his eyes.
"You heard the message as I did, we'd be free to use our quirks. No judgment," he said.
She was about to respond when suddenly Sitka's father came out of nowhere, placing a handmade blade against her throat.
"Uh!" she grunted.
"Father!" Sitka shouted.
"Neither of you will be going anywhere! Especially not to some fairy tale land where you can use your Quirks, and be the freaks you want," he spat.
Moana grunted at him.
"Let her go," Sitka demanded.
"Why should I? She's your wife but not. She's only married to you to birth to a child. That is your responsibility! Your Quirks will be useful later!" his father spat.
Sitka's eyes turned dark and his demeanor turned unsettling. "I've had enough….of you treating me like NOTHING MORE THAN A WEAPON!" he shouted.
He grew his eagle form.
"Sitka!" Moana shouted.
"You wouldn't dare!" his father growled.
Sitka flew forward as the eagle straight through Moana and his father. His father flew backward multiple feet away from Moana and dropped the blade. Moana stayed where she was but let out a sigh of relief. She whipped her head around to him back in human form and his father standing up again.
"It's one thing to do it to me, but I won't let you treat my wife as a tool," Sitka snapped.
Moana stared at Sitka from the back and then spread her hand out next to her.
"What is going on out here!?" Chief Tui questioned as both tribal families gathered together.
"Father?" Kenai questioned, "What did you do?"
"Your brother wants to go into that portal," their father snapped. "To a land where the quirk users can all be freaks together,"
"Stop calling him a freak. He's your son! Your oldest son! And his quirk is magnificent!" Kenai defended.
"Your brother doesn't accept his responsibilities! His quirk will be useful later!"
"No, his children's quirks will because it'll be a combination of his quirk and Moana's," Denahi said, "You would slit their throats in their sleep as soon as they give you enough grandchildren,"
"You dare speak that way to me!" Their father snapped; he was about to run at them both until Sitka's eagle wing slammed their father into the rock formation next to him.
Kenai and Denahi looked on in shock at first and then looked at their oldest brother.
"My Quirk is becoming more complex than I thought," Sitka said, "I do want to go into the portal,"
His brothers gasped.
"Around my kind would-" he started to say until a wave of water surrounded his body like a bubble.
His eyes widened, realizing he couldn't breathe from the water surrounding him.
"Moana," Tui said.
She was holding her hand out, using her Quirk to lift her husband into the air, over her, and shove him into the portal.
"Moana!" he shouted in bubbles, disappearing in the portal.
Kenai and Denahi sighed but then glared at her. "I'm sorry, but I don't think your brother is safe here if your father continues to pester him. And then threaten my life," she explained.
"He what?" Chief Tui said in sudden anger.
"My daughter," Sina chimed in, "If that's the case, you aren't safe here either,"
Moana's face depleted.
"You should join your husband," Sina said. "I know you want to experience your Quirk more, and there you have the freedom to do so,"
"Mother?" Moana questioned in surprise, "We'll be fine here and you aren't abandoning the tribe. We expect you to come back when you and Sitka can," Sina finished.
Moana smiled, "I will," her heart filling up with hope.
"Keep an eye on our brother," Kenai said.
"He can be a bit too serious. Can you loosen him up," Denahi said.
Moana chuckled, "I'll do my best," She turned around feeling the intensity of the portal, and took one step into the sand towards it.
