April, their friends sat around as they listened to the story of his childhood but that was what not had remained with him.
Robyn continued sleeping within Raphael's embrace. His bandana carried a stream of wet tears. Lightly caressed her soft forehead and hair as he'd caress a kitten that contently slept in his lap.
"That isn't all of the story is it?" Mikey asked. Casey sighed and shook his head, replying. "No, that was my grandfather's story and I was young. Only a teenager at the time but I met a girl. Not long after my father died when the PD's burned down our shop."
Leonardo sighed, assured his friend. "The past is the past. It can't hurt us unless you let it but talking about it, can bring some peace and healing."
Casey resumed with the story and the time, about a friend who experienced a deep spiritual heartbreak, none could understand or explained what she had seen.
"I was around maybe 15 or 16 when I met this girl. Her name was Letty. Letty Connor. And she had two most beautiful dogs I've ever seen. I had to introduce myself but at the time I only saw her with one when I first met them, it was later when I met the other."
"Hi, I'm Casey. Casey Jones. Beautiful dogs there." Casey smiled, introducing himself then suddenly leapt, backing away. The kelpie cross rottweiler growled and barked, warning Casey to back away.
"I'm sorry, did I upset you?" Casey asked. "No, I'm sorry. My girl is doing what she believes to be right and only protecting me." Letty answered, assured her dog to calm down as she finally settled and sat down, quietly.
"That's cool. I understand. I'd be protective too if we're her myself. She is a good dog." Casey complimented with a smile.
"We are just heading home, would you like to walk with us?" Letty asked. Pippa was not as welcoming but kept her distance beside Letty.
"Sure, why not." Casey agreed
