Chapter 2: Daddy's Little She-Puck
A month after Quinn and Liza Marie moved in with Noah, they were out at a restaurant. Noah was using sign language to tell the waiter what he wanted. Then a group of men sitting across from them starts making fun of Noah. Noah tried to keep his cool and not blow up on the guys as they waited for the food. Then Liza Marie gets up in her chair and yells, "Hey dumbass, My Daddy can hear you! He got his throat cut!"
The men laugh, and one says, "As if I care. Your daddy is the dumbass, kid." Before anyone can react, Liza Marie charges at the guy and stabs his leg with a steak knife.
Noah smirks as Quinn hits his arm and whispers, "Not funny, Puck. She could have hurt the guy." Then she grabs Liza Marie after paying for their meal.
As they leave, Quinn says to Noah, "I'm glad we found out that Kurt chose us as Liza Marie's godparents now. Ha, I wonder how Rachel would have handled that?"
Then Liza Marie says, "Really, Liza Marie, bad girl!" Which made Noah chuckle. Then Liza Marie signs something to Noah that makes him laugh more.
Then a waiter walks up to them and signs, "I'm deaf, and those guys harass me daily."
Noah signs, "I lost my voice after getting my throat cut. I heard what they said to you. Can you read their lips?"
The waiter nods his head yes, and signs, "A little, but I don't know everything. So, I can't report them."
Then Noah hands the waiter a paper and signs, "This is everything they said behind your back and to your face last week. I realized you were deaf after we ordered our meal last week. Do you work here every day?"
The waiter nodded and signed, "I'm Chris Adams, also I'm gay, and I witnessed her parents' murder. The cops never took my statement, and they are no better than those jerks."
Then, Noah sees an ad for a Hulk movie on the TV at the bar and signs, "My temper is like his." He then looks at Tracy as he signs, "And so is hers." The waiter laughs and doesn't reply as they leave.
When they got home, Noah took a sleeping Liza Marie to her room, and then" My Little Girl." by Tim McGraw played on Liza Marie's iPod boombox. Quinn soon heard Noah crying as Liza Marie said, "You have me now." repeatedly until it was quiet. As she checks on them, she sees them asleep in Liza Marie's bed.
Quinn soon got a text from Burt that said, "I know about the witness to the murder, Chris Adams. I'm friends with his dad Rodger, we've worked together for years. The police refuse to reopen the case. Well, I have to go. We will be coming down next week."
Quinn replies, saying, "I got to tell you about what happened tonight. Little She-Puck stabbed a guy in the leg. Puck was so proud of her and had me go to Dairy Queen to get a Reese's Extreme Blizzard. God, Mr. H, now I get why we're her godparents. Thank you for not telling Mrs. H or Puck the truth about the rings. I still go to Elizabeth's grave once a week. I would have been to Kurt's, but Dave wouldn't let me this week. We don't talk to each other, we mainly talk to Kurt. Well, see you next week."
Burt replies, "Puck sent me a video of what happened. You might want to check Facebook, Quinn. I know it was wrong of Liza Marie to do that, but I can't lie I laughed too. Carole's reaction wasn't much different from yours. Well, I got to go. See you next week." As Quinn went to bed, she heard Noah humming.
The next morning, Quinn awoke to Liza Marie laughing as Noah roared while he chased Liza Marie around the house. Soon, Noah chased Liza Marie into the bedroom and Quinn yelled, "Hey!" and pointed to the door. Then Noah picks up Liza Marie as they pout at Quinn. Before Quinn yells, "Out, now!" as she was still pointing at the door.
Soon, Liza Marie was in time out after Quinn heard them running around again. Then Quinn tied Noah and Liza Marie's hands together. Before she yelled at Noah, "Puck, we have to set some rules here! Liza Marie could have hurt herself or worse last night!" Noah was watching Liza Marie mock Quinn, and he chuckled, which made Quinn angrier. Quinn storms out and ends up in front of Kurt's grave.
Quinn broke down and whispered, "I can't do this, Kurt! Liza Marie should have gone back to Rachel! I can't take it anymore! I love Puck, but this is too much!" Quinn soon heard My Little Girl playing on the radio in a car driving by. This makes her chuckle. Then she walks over to Elizabeth's grave and whispers, "Help me and Carole keep them in line. Watch over Liza Marie, too. I named my daughter after you. So, you better help me out here." Then a gust of wind almost knocks Quinn over before she goes back home.
When Quinn returned, Liza Marie and Noah were asleep on the couch, and she saw a Swiss Army Knife in Noah's back pocket of his jeans. She also saw the dishwasher was on and a pizza on the dining table. Then she saw a note from Noah that said, "I'm sorry, babe. You're right, we need to set some rules for Liza Marie. But you need to remember she is just a kid, babe. We can't be strict all the time, and life is short, babe."
Noah and Liza Marie soon awoke to cabinet doors being slammed. Before Quinn yells, "Liza Marie, where is my Dr. Pepper? I put it in the freezer last night, and now it's gone!" Noah rolls his eyes and storms out with Liza Marie still in his arms.
Quinn found them in the park half an hour later. Noah then points at the drink in Quinn's hand as he glares at her. Quinn sighs and says, "Yeah, I found it. I'm sorry, Puck." Noah points at Liza Marie. Quinn sits next to Noah, and he moves away from her as he watches Liza Marie.
Liza Marie and Noah ignored Quinn for the rest of the week. When Burt and Carole came to visit, Noah and Liza Marie were still ignoring Quinn. Then Burt asks, "What happened, Quinn?"
Quinn sighs and says, "I overreacted to a few things last week, and they won't forgive me."
Then Liza Marie yells, "You tied our hands together and put us in time out! Then you blamed me for taking your drink three times when you forgot where it was! I told you I didn't take your stupid drinks, but you kept blaming me! Now I know why Dada and Papa only wanted to choose Daddy to be my godparent!" Then she stomps on Quinn's foot and runs to Noah.
Quinn goes to the bedroom, followed by Burt. Quinn throws a vase at the wall and yells, "I have regretted giving up Beth for years. Then I find out I couldn't give Kurt the daughter he wanted! So, Rachel decides to save the day again! I couldn't keep Finn, Rachel was there to save his heart! I gave Puck's daughter away, and Kurt gives him Rachel's daughter! I can't even remember the last time Puck and I have slept in the same bed!" Then Quinn storms out of the room. Noah then grabs her and puts his forehead against hers as they slow dance.
