Biker Mice from Mars

Hard Luck & Dently

Boom Town

The Epilogue!

"AAAHHH, When, What, Why, Where AAAAHHH!?" Hard Luck panicky yelled out as He set up! "Where in the Fromage am I?" He looked around. He was sitting in tall, soft grass that nearly blocked his eyes. Above him the sky was an almost sickeningly Bright and Happy Blue filled with Soft Puffy White Clouds lazily floating by! There was even a Giant Rainbow!

A soft breeze ruffled the grass, it carried a sweet scent on it as well. "Def not in Detroit." He mumbled to himself. New Sounds drifted over to him. The sounds of people and things happening nearby!

Very Happy and Familiar Voices, and Sounds! Trying to get to his feet, but was somehow unable to, when suddenly the tall grass seemed to part in front of him, bending to let him see out from where he was sitting.

A big city park was there, with trees, bushes, and a large, and wide lake visible behind it, which was right next to a collection of Skyscrapers and buildings all seeming to be made of mirrored glass and steel! The bright lights and aura of apparent happiness all but reflected back at him in a blindingly nauseating golden shine!

The Rumble from 3 very powerful motorcycles and the voices of 4 very familiar citizens telling jokes and laughing carried over to him! "Modo, Davidson, Throttle, uh Oscar!?" Hard Luck shouted out and tried to wave but still couldn't raise his paw! The 3 Biker Mice and Charley roared down the Park Road, seemingly on their way to a picnic in the park, on a wonderful looking day!

"Modo, Chu, Chur, DAVIDSON!" He yelled out again, but the group didn't seem to be able to hear or see him! He tried to jump up and wave an arm, his tail, an ear, anything but he seemed stuck in deep mud! Warm and Comfortable Mud but stuck nonetheless!

Looking longingly around the Happy Scene, only one thought popped into his head. "Oh, Cheese, I'm Not Dead, am I?" He gulped to himself. "Of course not, you of all people should know if that was the case, you are so adorable when you act silly like this!"

"DEVOURYA!" Hard Luck yelled out as the unexpected voice drifted down to him! He snapped his head up to look skyward! High above in total contrast to the bright and blue sky, once again resting on a cloud like it was a divan Albeit this Sky wasn't a chaotic flaming storm. The Chronovore sat extremely nonchalantly.

Her darker colors were in jarringly complete contrast to the ambiance of the landscape she floated above. She obviously didn't approve of it at all. A look of almost amused distaste played on her face. If He didn't know her as well as he did, he would think she wasn't Enjoying it.

"You didn't like the last little dreamscape I conjured up for you, so I thought why not go in the complete opposite this time." She sighed peevishly. Her cloud slowly drifted down until she was practically floating just off his shoulder, thankfully she had reduced in size from a few miles across of a large cloud to that of a small bird.

She rolled over on her couch like cloud. Her long legs slowly kicking in the air, her cloven hooves clacking together. Her oblivion dark wings fluttering in the slight breeze and her tail slowly waving back and forth, as she rested her head on her steepled together long fingers, her antenna like lightning sparked and arced up into the sky. Her sharp fangs and flaming eyes smiled at him in a way that she knew only disturbed him.

"A dream, this is just a dream?" He gasped as he looked around. Some of the tension he was feeling rolled off him. Although in a way watching his friends drive away brought a certain melancholy to him, but not the bad kind.

"I suppose you could call it that, it could be real, or a reflection of reality, or it could all be in your silly little head!" She giggled teasingly while once again turning to take in Her surroundings. "Although being honest, this kind of thing always gives me the willies!" She giggled while shivering disapprovingly. "Is this another one of your little portents or omens?" He asked nervously. He was never sure how she would react to things. She relished her spontaneous chaotic nature.

"Oh, I really couldn't say, to be quite honest, I got distracted some while ago and I really haven't been paying all that much attention to things." Hard Luck looked at her unbelievingly, but he really wasn't surprised by this, so he just rolled his eyes at her.

"Let me just take a look." She looked over his head as if she was looking into the past and future, which she actually was. "Oh, it looks like congratulations are in order, you managed to Save the Day, in your typical fashion of course!" She almost sounded impressed. The Childish Snickering implied she wasn't That Impressed.

"My typical fashion huh?" He groaned with his shoulders slumping. "Now I'm not looking forward to waking up." Devourya giggled again. "Oh, Cheer Up, you did save two planets, that is something you should feel proud of!" She said trying to cheer him up, which was very out of character for her.

"Two Planets, what are you talking about?" He wheezed confusedly. Devourya just smiled again and simply pointed upwards. He followed her long taloned finger. High in the sky and far too close to be possible was a much too familiar Red and Orange Planet.

"Muh, Mars?" He gasped and just looked at her with a very confused look on his blue face. "Oh, my not able to keep Pace Pastry, I know your little mechanical minion told you about Brie's amusing little Fib about the Strength of the Bomb intended for Limburger, but His plans far Exceeded just this insignificant little blue marble of a world!"

She told him every detail of Brie's plans. To destroy all of Chicago, both Limburger, The Bros, and Davidson, and to lure Earth into a War with Mars. A War he would guarantee neither side would win, much less Survive!

Hard Luck's Blue Furred Face took on a distinct Green Hue. The two colors did not mix well. "All, all of that would have happened if, if I had gone thru with…" He trailed off, his stomach feeling like it was turning into a black hole, ready to suck him down into its dark and unpleasant depths.

"Oh, You Silly Little Single Temporal Timeline Tidbit, your microscopic viewpoints on such trivial matters are always so amusing to witness!" She snickered causing Hard Luck to blush at her teasing. It just made her giggle at him more.

"Brie would have gone forward with his plans regardless of your intervention or not." She continued to explain. "Actually, depending on the point of view, it is you involving yourself that leads to this humorous conclusion to another escapade of yours."

A little of the blue came back into his cheeks. "That, almost makes me feel better." He groaned. "Look on the Brightside My Little Morsel, you still have many Wonderous and Even More Amusing Misadventures ahead of you, and some of them Quite Soon!" She started to drift away from him, getting bigger and bigger as she did.

Hard Luck watched until her face blotted out the sky! Her vast shadow blocked out the Sun, casting a deep shadow over him, the only illumination now coming from the fires in her blazing eyes. "Until the next time My Beloved Delicacy!" She smiled and blew a kiss at him! A Cartoon like Kissy Symbol made of Fire formed from it and fell directly for him!

"AAAAHHH!" Hard Luck Cried out as the Fiery Lips Descended! He could actually feel heat coming off them! His fur and the grass around him started to smoke! The World around him Erupted into Flame and Smoke!

"UUUUHH!?" Hard Luck snapped awake! "Whu, where am I, Owww, Oh everything hurts!" He painfully moaned. "VROOM, HONK, RATTLE, BRAP!" Dently excitedly clamored as he bounced in a puddle, splashing Hard Luck right in his face with the dirty mucky water! "Ack, hey watch it!"

Dently just managed to get a modicum of control over himself, and gently rolled closer to him. Spitting more dirty water out of his mouth, Hard Luck looked around. He was laying on his side, one arm uncomfortably pinned underneath him, his good leg twisted around his cyborg leg, and the bandages on his tail nearly burned off. Most of his exposed fur singed and smoking, and every bit of him hurt!

He was back in the alley across the busy highway from the now demolished Rust Palace of Napoleon Brie! "Vruum, Vroom Vrap!" Dently grumbled happily next to him, two of his robotic arm extensions out of his container and holding Hard Luck's leather trench coat over him like a tent, keeping some of the still falling rain off him!

"Yeah, yeah, I'm awake pal, just calm down, sheesh!" He sighed with a smile. The Motorcycle gave a metallic rattle and managed to actually do that. "How did I get here, the last thing I remember is crashing into the palace!?" Hard Luck asked hoping to find out and distract himself from his very sore body.

Dently's taillight snapped on and illuminated something in the alley behind him. Hard Luck strained to lift his head off the cold wet concrete and look. On top of a now crushed and smoking, dumpster was a chair-like device. It took him a few seconds to realize that it was an Ejector Seat like they put in Single Person Fighter Craft!

"Hey, that's the driver's seat from Brie's War-Truck!" Hard Luck realized! Dently started another chorus of his engine and metal parts! He recapped the events for Hard Luck! He had gotten his systems back online a few minutes after Hard Luck had freed him from the Disruptor Bolas but had to wait for the Police and Military to continue chasing after him before Dently could come after him!

Finding him hadn't been too difficult what with the Very Noticeable Parade of Police and Military Vehicles chasing the War Truck thru the Stormy City of Detroit. Dently had caught up just in time to see Hard Luck crash the truck thru Brie's front door!

He had watched the following explosions and chaos from the shadows in the alley! The Truck and the Palace had been filled with all kinds of weapons and ammunition, which greatly added to the explosions that destroyed the entire building!

The Stormy Night Sky had then been filled with all manner of fireballs shooting up into it! Dently explained that one of the fireballs was Hard Luck on the ejector chair, who came crashing down into the dumpster in the alley!

"Well, that kind of explains how I got here, I guess, but I didn't even know that the truck had an ejector!" Hard Luck questioned the events. Dently actually had an answer to that too. He turned on his front headlight and pointed it at Hard Luck's cyborg leg. There stuck in his ankle joint was the chair's now broken-off launch activator lever.

"Huh, so that's what my leg got snagged on, lucky me huh?" He chuckled. "Oh, ow that hurts." Dently once again rattled off some comforting sounds. "Yeah, I know, I Saved The Day, somebody else already pointed that out to me."

Thunder rumbled in the sky above them. "Oh, well at least this rain will feel good on these burns." He sighed, being soaked to the bone for a few days would finally have an upside. Another burst of Thunder and Lightning broke out across the sky! Suddenly the clouds parted, and the near-constant deluge of rain petered out and came to a stop!

Off on the horizon, the sun started to rise into the quickly brightening sky! Birds started to chirp and sing, even a rainbow rolled out! Hard Luck watched all this in quiet amazement for a few seconds. "Bwahahahahaaha, ouch, ow, ha, ha I think I am gonna Cry!" He laughed as his burned and bruised body convulsed with spasmatic laughter! Dently attempted to clumsily tend to his friend's wounds and comfort him at the same time making comforting rumbles.

Detroit welcomed another day as the dawn light spread across the morning sky. This City, Chicago, and at least 2 planets could unknowingly breathe a sigh of relief thanks to two rather unlikely heroes resting and recuperating before heading off to their next adventure!

The End!
