Robyn sat on the couch, cuddling the blanket of her beloved best friend and companion. Triton, had given her everything that made her life with meaning. Remembering all the wonderful adventures she shared with triton.
She kept his belongings, even his bed. She washed daily. One memory she loved, triton loved to play peekaboo from under the towels. Glanced to the photograph of herself and triton, picking it up and trailed her finger along it. Tears welled and streamed, wetting her cheeks.
Robyn jumped as she was startled by the unexpected knocking on her door. Wiping the tears away, stood up from the couch and walked to the door. "Who is it?" she asked.
"Hey sis." April answered. Robyn opened the door, greeted her sister and niece with snowy.
"Hey you." Robyn smiled, welcoming. Shadow and snowy happily skipped to the living room and snowy leaped on the couch.
"No snowy, no ups." shadow tried to encourage her young pup to obey. "Mama, snowy is been a bad boy." shadow cried. April sighed softly.
"Snowy, come on. Be a good boy." Snowy finally obeyed, stepped down from the couch and walked to tritons basket then laid in it. Robyn bit her lip and tried not to hiss at snowy. It took alot of her strength to control herself, after all snowy was only a pup after all. He never knew any better or understood. April said. "No snowy, not that basket."
Robyn interrupted, assured kindly. "It's ok, April. It is only a basket." April rose a brow, worried.
"Robyn, you ok?"
Wiped another tear away and replied. "It is fine, April. Triton's anniversary is soon coming and I have to try to move forward. Triton would want me to." April quickly draped her arms around her sister, immediately comforting her. Robyn exhaled alittle, draped her hand over the back of her sisters shoulders.
"I'm sorry, Robbie."
Shadow wrapped her little arms around Robyn's waist. April caressed her daughters head and snowy walked over to them, sat down beside shadow and Robyn. A light nudge of his nose upon her thigh and soft whimper. Pulled from the embrace, caressed shadow's cheek and kissed her forehead then knelt down, giving snowy a warm embrace. Snowy, slobbered Robyn's cheek with kisses.
"You are one lucky girl, shadow." Robyn smiled.
"I wish to find you a new friend." April wished hopeful. Robyn sighed alittle, nodded and answered.
"I know you do, sis. Maybe one day."
Meanwhile, Casey Jones walked in the doors of the NYPD and exhaled lowly nervously.
"Can I help you, friend?" officer Jamieson asked. Casey glanced the officer and exhaled again, taking the first step toward the desk.
"I've come to apply for a job." officer Jamieson rose a brow. "You will need to complete a exam first then your training will commence."
"Done." Casey replied. "One moment please."
Casey waited for the paperwork he needed to complete. Few seconds after, the officer returned with a booklet for Casey to study and booked Casey for the exam.
"You have three weeks to study."
"Plenty of time."
"Well, Mr?" officer Jamieson begun, then paused waiting fir his name.
"Jones. Casey Jones."
"Alright, Mr Jones. Shall see you in three weeks."
Casey smiled and walked out, another officer approached officer Jamieson. "So, new applicant?"
"Maybe."
"Shall see how he will perform?" officer Jamieson agreed. "He seems to have potential."
