The advertisement for Claudia's fashion boutique comes to a close, fading to a black screen.
electrifying music rips through the speakers as bright flashing lights fill the screen. The words Split or Stick fades into the colourful background.
"Have your say!" an announcer exclaims in his thick Capitol accent. "Our first nine contestants have been chosen and are ready to enter our penthouse suite in a matter of days. This year it is down to rhe people of Panem to decide our first four couples. From the president herself to the uoungest coal worker in District Twelve, everyone gets a vote!"
The screen switches to a blonde man with starling green eyes and a strong, masculine features. He flexes his large biseps. Below his name "Quartz" covers the lower half of the screen.
The next contestant is a man named Gizmo. A short, skinny guy with thick, curly brown hair. He smiles sweetly into the camera, wrinkling his freckle dotted nose in the process.
Next is Clayton, a short blonde guy with a well toned and attractive body. He gives a small wink to the camera, two eyebrow bars in his left brow.
Lastly for the men is a stoic looking man With deep brown eyes and black hair in a military cut. He is the most well built out of the men yet is the only one not to smile or flex for the camera. The name Caligula pops up across the screen.
Moving onto the women the first woman to flash onto the screen is a blonde girl with waist length hair, long features of average attractiveness. She offers a weak smile. Enola.
Her successor is much more enthusiastic. A woman with gothic makeup and dyed black hair sticks her fingers in her mouth and winks. Fabrica.
Next up is Elm. A short, baby faced but beautiful woman with a wide grin. Her hair slightly curled. She gives a small wave for the camera.
Lastly is Velvet, a beautiful dark skinned woman with large brown eyes and natural black coily hair. With a wink, she leans in and blows a kiss for the camera.
"Vote for your couples now!"

Quartz Anderson, 30 (District 1)
Occupation: Model for Capitol propaganda.
Type (in their own words): "I like sexy blonde women who have fire to them. Type of woman who will put me in my place... I'll admit I enjoy the odd argument."
What are they looking for: "A woman i can settle down with. I want something serious but i also want to test all my options and have fun."
What do they think of their chances: "Very good. I'm an attractive and wealthy man. I have no doubt that almost every woman will like me."
Gizmo Parr, 30 (District 3)
Occupation: Head of tech department at Arena Electronics.
Type: "Looks don't matter to me as much as some other men. I like dark hair but overall I want a woman who I can have deep and intelligent conversations with...someone I've always got on my team."
What are they looking for: "nothing short of long-term."
What do they think of theo chances: "I dont think there will be many men of my depth so any women looking for a more intellectual guy might come my way."
Clayton Macron, 26 (District 4)
Occupation: Fish gutter.

Occupation: ex-Peacekeeper (excused from duty due to injury)
Type: "I'm not too sure. I've never been in a relationship before. I like honest girls with big hearts. People who are brave and strive to do the right thing."
What are they looking for: "Since my accident I really want to start a family."
What do they think of their chances: "Not the best. I'm not sure how many women could handle my history."

Type: "Dark haired guys. I like ambition and the desire to explore the world. I like people who see beauty in the smaller things."

What do they think of their chances: "I hope so haha. There has to be someone out there for me...right?"
Fabrica Borjuie, 22 (District 8)
Occupation: Sales assistant at clothing store.
Type: "I like alternative guys with fire. Guys who break social norms, someone like me."
What are they looking for: "Long term but I wouldn't say no to something less."
What do they think of their chances: "Very good. I'm hot, I've got a magnetic personality and I stand out from the rest. Most guys who will come in will like me."
Elm Johnson, 25 (District 7)
Occupation: Factory worker
Type: "Short, sweet feminine guys who care. I want someone to take care of me and share my beliefs like that of mermaids."
What are they looking for: "I've never had a boyfriend before. But I guess something long term."
What do they think of their chances: "I think I've got a good chance if the right guy is there."
Velvet Rindle, 20 (District 1)
Occupation: Socialite (Daughter of Maxis Rindle, victor).
Type: "I like men with character. Loyal and kind but also up for having a joke around. Someone I can enjoy life with."
What are they looking for: "looks and humour are priorities. We'll see how things go from there."
What do they think of their chances: "Lets be honest, winning runs in my blood. The other girls don't stand a chance!"
VOTE FOR THE COUPLES!
We have our first nine Contestants/Tributes in. Velladaria will enter as a surprise at the end of the next chapter. Her goal is to cause drama and split people up. Send in a review or by a DM who you think would make a good couple. I'll tally up the votes and place them together.
I need about 2 more Tributes about now. A girl and boy. I think the girl is spoken for atm. In 3 chapters time the Contestants will choose their own partners leaving someone single. a man and woman will then enter the penthouse again with the intention of tearing apart existing couples and getting into their own. AFTER that at the next recoupling, the contestant left single is eliminated and this becomes the first Contestant to become a Tribute. But that is many chapters away.
The Contestants will not arrive all at once. Other than the original 8, the other 16 will filter in at random points in the story. This works because I don't need 24 tributes to start writing. We can slowly build up the numbers.
