Joseph was at the Violet Gym, wishing to face Falkner. He was surrounded by his fangirls, but still listened Joseph's defiance.

"Alright then" Falkner smiled. "Three on three, for your third badge, alright?"

"Yeah!" Joseph smiled. "Let's battle!"

"Go, Spearow!" Falkner took a Spearow out.

"Go, Delibird!" Joseph sent Delibird, decided.

"Deli!" Delibird shouted, excited.

"Delibird, use Icy Wind!" Joseph ordered.

Spearow fainted inmediatly. Falkner sent a Noctowl.

"Noctowl, use Psychic!" Falkner ordered.

"Deli!" Delibird weakened because of the hit.

"Delibird, come back to your PokéBall!" Joseph shouted. "Go, Teddiursa!"

"Ted! Ted! Ursa!" Teddiursa said, smiling.

"Noctowl, use Psychic!" Falkner ordered.

"Teddiursa, use Headbutt!" Joseph ordered.

Teddiursa's hit was really strong, hitting Noctowl right where it hurt. It was a critical hit!

"Noctowl, use Aerial Ace!" Falkner ordered.

"Teddiursa, use Headbutt once again!" Joseph ordered.

Noctowl fainted because of the hit. Falkner groaned, sending his last Pokémon: A powerful Pidgeot.

"Pidgeot, use Fly!" Falkner shouted.

Teddiursa was hit... and fainted instantly.

"Teddiursa! Come back to your PokéBall!" Joseph said, sending it back. "Good job, girl. Go, Delibird, end this Pidgeot with Blizzard!"

"Pidgeot, use Fly!" Falkner shouted.

Pidgeot avoided the Blizzard and hit Delibird, instantly fainting him.

"Delibird, go back!" Joseph shouted. "Good job, buddy... Go, Dragonair!"

"Naaaaair!" Dragonair shouted.

"Use Thunderbolt!" Joseph said, trusting that Dragonair would use it.

"Drago..." Dragonair charged electric energy... and threw it. "NAAAAAAIR!!!"

"Pidgeooooot!" Pidgeot shouted when hit, and fell to the floor, fainted.

"Good" Falkner smiled at Joseph. "You're really good. You earnt this Badge, the Zephyr Badge!"

"Yeah!" Joseph posed for a photo with Dragonair and the badge from his RotomPhone. "I got the Badge!"

"You are pretty strong" Falkner smiled. "You might want to go to Azalea Town, right?"

"Yeah" Joseph nodded. "I got to see Bugsy for help with my Heracross, he lost his horn"

"I see..." Falkner said. "I wish you luck with that"

"Thanks" Joseph smiled.

"By the way. Your Delibird is pretty strong, for a Pokémon of its species" Falkner noted. "You should be proud of yourself as a Trainer"

Yosef beamed, happily.

"Thanks!"

And so, Joseph went to the Pokémon Center to heal his Pokémon. He decided to meditate, trying to connect with the feelings of his Pokémon. He was a special kid, in syntony with the feelings of his Pokémon... but he still had only three Badges. What would Piter think of his progress? His mind wandered a little bit...

POV Piter

Piter had caught an Eevee. He was gonna train it in the Sylveon path, so he would have another Fairy type to face Joseph, Clair and Lance.

He took out his Pokémon in his team: Jynx, his evolved Smoochum, Kirlia, Dewgong and his new Eevee... because it was time to eat! He prepared some food. He wasn't as good as Joseph when it came to consistency, but his timing and flavouring was a LOT better. He had learnt the favourite flavours of each of his Pokémon and gave them food accordingly: Jynx loved spicy food, Kirlia was more fond of drier flavours and Dewgong LOVED sweet flavours.

He quickly learnt that Eevee's favourite flavour was sweet, so he fed him the same food as Dewgong. He had won the Zephyr Badge not so long ago, and he was on a trip towards Azalea Town, he almost arrived.

"You're gonna ask Kurt to make you a PokéBall, right?" His SmartRotom said.

"Yep" Piter nodded. "A RapidBall might help me with evasive Pokémon"

So, after eating, he put his Pokémon in his PokéBalls and continued with his trip towards Azalea Town. On his way, he found a male Nidoran. He caught the Pokémon to try and diversify the team. It was the only male in his team, he realized.

All life was well for Piter, who waited to meet his rival somewhere in the region.
