POV Joseph

So Joseph arrived two weeks later at Azalea Town. It was a pretty town, full of life and tradition. He went to the Azalea Gym to ask for Bugsy when he suddently crossed paths with Piter.

"Oh, hey!" Piter smiled. "Joseph, I got a pretty sweet team of Dragon Hunters... you wanna test it out?"

"Heck yeah!" Joseph said.

They stood out in the town. Curious people went to see what was going on.

"Three on three!" Joseph said. "It's just... Heracross isn't fine at all"

"Alright" Piter took out his Jynx. "I evolved my Smoochum!"

"Ah, so cool!" Joseph took out his Dragonair. "You may meet Dragonair now!"

"Jynx, use Ice Beam!"

"Dragonair, do not let her, use Flamethrower!"

Dragonair won the battle, as the Flamethrower defeated the Ice Beam and hit Jynx.

"Ugh! Come back, Jynx! You did well... Alright... go, Kirlia!" Piter took out his Kirlia... who suddently evolved into Gardevoir. "Huh! Cool!"

"A sudden evolution?!" Joseph was astonished.

"Gardevoir, use Moonblast!" Piter said.

Dragonair was hit by the blast and fainted from its sheer power.

"Huh?! What strength... Fairy types aren't Pokémon I should look over" Joseph said, taking Dragonair to its PokéBall "You did good, my friend. Go, Teddiursa!"

"Tedd!" Teddiursa screamed. "Teddiursaaaaa"

It suddently evolved into an... Ursaring! Joseph looked at his Pokémon, excited. His SmartRotom came out.

"It's an Ursaring!" SmartRotom said.

"Careful, Piter, you gotta think about your third Pokémon" Piter's SmartRotom said.

"I'll defeat Ursaring with another Moonblast!" Piter said.

"Ursaring, use Protect!" Joseph said.

Ursaring tanked the Moonblast.

"Now... use Headbutt!" Joseph said.

Gardevoir was heavily hit by the Headbutt, and people around them cheered. Joseph got self-conscious.

"What? Getting cold feet?" Piter asked.

"T-this is nothing" Joseph mentalized himself. "Ursaring, end this with Fire Punch!"

Gardevoir fainted because of the sheer power of that Fire Punch. Piter took her into his PokéBall.

"You did great, Gardevoir. Thank you" Piter said. "Go, Eevee!"

"Ibuii!" Eevee shouted. Everyone cheered to the little guy.

"This shall be easy!" Joseph smiled, knowing his victory was in reach. "Ursaring, use Brick Break!"

Ursaring made Eevee faint with that single attack.

"Agh! I lost!" Piter said, a bit salty. "Our Pokémon are equal in strength... I don't understand what am I doing wrong"

"Your strength is in equal terms" Bugsy, Azalea Town's Gym Leader, said. "But your rival had just the slighest bit of luck"

"Ah, I see" Piter said. "You're the Gym Leader, right? When I heal my Pokémon, I want a Gym Battle!"

"Alright" Bugsy smiled. "I'll be waiting for your challenge"

"Bugsy! I wanted to tell you, all these weeks ago..." Joseph took out Heracross from his PokéBall. "He lost his horn, and..."

"Ah... I understand" Bugsy smiled. "Go heal your Pokémon, please. Heracross, you shall come with me, please"

Heracross obliged, and meanwhile, Joseph went to heal his Pokémon from the battle against Piter. The Fairy types were worrying, as Dragonair just had nothing to do against them.

A few hours later, falling into the night, Bugsy went to the Pokémon Center to see Joseph, with Heracross in tow. He was completely recovered.

"His horn regrew earlier than I expected. It's a really fine alpha individual" Bugsy smiled, giving Joseph a cream. "If the horn were to break again, apply this special cream"

"Thanks!" Joseph smiled.

Bugsy saw the bracelet on his hand and smiled.

"Oh, so you wield a Key Stone" He said. "I just noticed. Heracross doesn't seem to wear a Mega Stone. If you win my Badge, I'll give a Heracrossite to you so you can Mega-Evolve your Heracross"

"Really?!" Joseph beamed. "Then I won't lose!"

"Let's see each other in three days!" Bugsy said. "I'll give you that time to train!"

"Thanks" Joseph smiled.

With that time to train, Joseph would become unstoppable, right? His adventure continues!

So, uh... yeah! Heracross is now a full member of the team. It only took... what, eleven chapters? I'm the king of slowburns... or someone would say that if I hadn't made Joseph win two badges in the span of six episodes.
