Chapter 60 Dark Road
Xehanort's POV
After traveling through many different worlds for so long, I decided to finally return to Scala Ad Caelum.
I arrived though a Corridor of Darkness before pulling down the hood of my black coat.
"Xehanort!"
Before I could react to this…I was tackled to the ground!
Once I composed myself, I looked up, and saw Eraqus.
"You're back", he said happily.
"Yes", I replied. "Now can you please get off of me?"
With that, Eraqus did as told and I stood up.
"I'm so glad to see you, buddy", Eraqus said before noticing my entire. "What's with the coat?"
"Long story", I replied, not wanting to tell Eraqus about the man who had given me the coat.
"Welcome back, Xehanort", Baldr greeted as he walked up to us.
"Hello Baldr", I greeted before looking at Eraqus. "So, how were things here? Anything happen while I was gone?"
"Nah", Eraqus replied. "Honestly, it was kind of boring without you here."
"Well then", Baldr started. "Now that you're back, we should go tell Master Odin."
…
And that's how I found myself back at the school after being away for so long.
"Master Odin", Eraqus started as we walked into our classroom. "Guess who's back?"
With that, Master Odin turned around to face me.
"Welcome back, Xehanort", he greeted. "I hope that you are well. How was your travels?"
"It was…eye opening", I replied.
"What do you mean", Eraqus asked.
"Well", I started, not sure what words to use. "Let's just say that…I realised how necessary I am."
"By that, I hope that you mean you realised how important it is for you to become a fully fledged Keyblade wielder", Master Odin stated. "If so, you have returned right in time. My students, please sit."
With that, we all did as told.
"The three of you have trained for many years", Master Odin reminded us. "As well as endured many hardships. However, it is these hardships that have shaped you into the people that you are today."
I can agree with that.
"And now", Master Odin started. "The time has come, for you all to take your Mark of Mastery exam."
…
And that's what we did. And we all ended up passing.
After we received our Marks of Mastery, Master Odin had a talk with Eraqus while Baldr and I were present.
"Eraqus", Master Odin started. "Out of all of your classmates, you achieved the most. Therefore, I am giving you the responsibility of training the future generation."
"M…me", Eraqus asked in shock.
"Yes", Master Odin replied. "You shall train them from a new land, known as the Land of Departure."
Eraqus was shocked at this news. However, his face of surprise was soon replaced with a face of determination.
"I won't let you down, Master."

Once this talk was done, I wondered through the halls of the school alone.
From this point on…I'd be going down a new path. A dark road.
