FEELING TRULY COMPLETE

Dante breathed in eyeing Asuka. "Please repeat that to me again you merged with your other self?!" Asuka eyed him narrowing her gaze. "Yes…" Dante breathed in stroking his beard as he looked at her. "Why would you do that, she's a monster? You could have polluted your own soul doing that and condemned yourself to a life time of suffering had it not worked out!"

Asuka looked up slightly. "Because it was the right thing to do, technically she's part of my soul that got ripped off in the last cycle I just made it so she could re-join so we'd be a singular being not a broken one."

She breathed in deeply. "Plus I can control her darkness because I've had it before in my youth. The reality is merging with her made me feel more complete and whole for the first time in my life in a spiritual sense, as I've never felt whole I always felt like there was a gap in my soul."

She paused. "Now I know why I was born a sleeping god but an incomplete one, I needed her to be whole." Dante leaned over pulling up her long red hair with the blonde highlights though mostly at the very tips and subtly blended in to her hair clearly the red was still the dominant colour and that would never change he could sense it. "Interesting…."

He gently let go of her hair. "I see the scar on your godly left eye remains did your stomach scar as well?" Asuka pulled up her t-shirt slightly watching as her scar came in to view. "Yes…oh I could have gotten rid of them it was an option my choice was not to during the merging and they still remain on my other form to." She lowered her t-shirt feeling a toothy grin form. "There so me as is the stab wound on my back, I like them. They are who I am."

Dante breathed in deeply. "If you were a lesser person I'd think you were crazy for this action…but it being you and knowing that you value your codes of honour as a warrior over anything, it comes off as the more fitting choice since it resolved the issue and means you can never be the destroyer of worlds again in this life time or any other." He moved towards Rei who slowly stood up as Asuka did the same. "I'm assuming already you know where you are." Rei looked around her. "The Void…" He raised his hand. "Yes and like her you're not to ever to speak of this place to the others should you visit again."

He watched as her green eyes turned to look at him. "Because your demi gods…you know it's too late, your spire of souls reveals you all to the world, soon everyone will know who you really are." Dante turned to her. "What is it you want Rei Ayanami?"

Rei breathed in deeply. "I wasn't bribing you just stating a fact…" Dante eyed her. "So you don't want anything from me?" Rei narrowed her gaze. "No…I don't want anything from you." Dante adjusted his visor ignoring the cold look he was getting from Thor. "Evidently you have higher values than your father then, clearly not cut from the same cloth."

He paused as a question started to scratch at his mind. "But if I offered you something would you take it?" Rei pushed her longer hair back which was getting in her face. "Trust me Seele has nothing I want or desire, I've seen some of my past selves memories despite how horrible some of them are they don't feel like my memories they feel more like dreams, but I know enough to know I want nothing to do with what's coming that's my father and Ritsuko arena."

Dante felt a smile form. "Ah so heroes pardon then since you saved the world, which you did by the way when your counterpart saved Nerv from being bombed by an N2 missile which would have destroyed everything while you stopped the demonic horror." He eyed Asuka. "No offence." Asuka raised her hand. "None taken..."

Dante raised his hand. "You will both have to be tested for six months just to check that none of yours or Asuka's forma selves, are not sweeping though the net in a negative way. Though it is very clear to me you're not afraid of speaking out anymore." He turned pointing at Asuka. "And she no longer gives a shit about what people think of her or how she looks as she has embraced herself."

Rei eyed him. "That's fair." Dante breathed in deeply. "I'm assuming the god Rei gave you this idea and you don't have to pretend you don't know her. We know she exists and that Asuka has met her." Rei looked up at him. "Her name is Kyu and yes I've met her and no she didn't give me the idea. My self and Asuka just drew the same conclusions that part of our true selves was missing and we needed it to become whole." She paused pointing at the woman and the white monolith. "The only people I don't recognise is that woman there and the new white monolith."

Asuka looked up slightly. "I do that's Agdistis the only Seele member my forma self-set free from hell and that is his lover Mana Kirishima." She breathed in deeply. "He appealed to my counterpart's better nature before the Lances truly took over fully and warped her mind and robbed of her memories and any positive emotions and she decided to eat Keel whole and alive."

Agdistis white tendrils raised. "It flatters me that you remember, as you changed my life and gave me a true life time with the one I love for that I am forever grateful." Mana looked at her. "But why did you free Agdistis when you had never experienced love in that cycle? That has always perplexed me."

Asuka eyed the white monolith. "Agdistis showed my forma self-true kindness, every time my other self-tried to bring them pain there was kindness and sadness Agdistis never wanted for anything…and it got to my other self after a while as she didn't believe people were still kind but Agdistis proved the opposite so she helped them to be free. I on the other hand had a dream that showed me the way and gave me what I needed to understand and merge with my other self."

Dante eyed her. "Creating the spears of destiny was clever and an insurance policy that paid off long term as they were never for your use and they could be used to destroy the Lances." He breathed n sadly. "Just sad that they had to be destroyed, as they had the ability to give life and restore this planet completely..."

Rei looked up slightly. "The red sea is not a sea it's filled with souls of men, women. Children and animals who have the right to leave that instrumentality whenever they desire they just couldn't in this cycle as Asuka's former self had blocked them and kept some from the last cycle from being able to choose reincarnation. As she needed of them to build her demonic body in the next cycle and hid them it's why they vanished and you were missing souls."

She looked up slightly. "Now thought the spire of souls, they can finally be reborn while those who were just stuck in limbo can ether return or they can also choose recantation. The red sea is choice and to take it away denies them that and we both refused to do that." Dante turned eyeing Asuka. "I see so it was a couple's decision." Rei looked at him. "Yes along with leaving human instrumentality together and allowing everyone to be free forever."

Dante breathed in deeply. "I assume that means the whole of Ankh, Gabriella Achika and Christopher." Asuka raised her hand. "Yes but not Achika she escaped, my counterpart only eat her brother and grandmother souls those two also helped Rei find me in my counterpart's hell, as strange as that sounds."

Seele three's monolith lit up orange light coming out from it as it formed in to a black furred were-jackal dressed in ancient Egyptian robes with glowing white eyes which was clearly Anubis who spoke calmly raising a clawed hand. "I'll deal with them all at your command Dante…I'll ensure they go on to reincarnation, I'll only let the truly worthy ones return."

Dante eyed hm. "Yes please fix this for me, you've always been good at reaching in and out of instrumentality and this new red sea should be easy for you." He watched as were-jackal bowed its head. "Once we end this meeting I'll deal with it." Dante turned eyeing Thor whose glowing gold eyes were narrowed. "As for you…I don't want to see your face again until I have to, which will no doubt will be at the UN summit in your human form arguing over trade deals like you always do." Misato breathed in deeply. "If the red sea is now open does that mean even people from the second impact can return?"

Dante nodded already knowing where she was going with this. "Yes…your father could return along with all the others who died on the base but it could be months or even years not everyone's comes out at the same time. Some never leave at all they stay in limbo by choice never truly facing there demons and living in a fantasy world as their in deep denial." Seele two spoke her voice filled with uncertainty. "I'll have the world keep their eye out for Achika, she does enjoy cutting people open…tracking her should be easy."

Dante turned eyeing Ritsuko. "Run the tests on these two." Ritsuko moved over to Asuka. "It's the same tests you did in quarantine, just no injection..." She breathed in easing out the pen tool putting it in to both Asuka's eyes watching as Misato moved over doing Rei as both pens beeped as their holographic bands turned green. It was closely followed by the teeth device whose tip was put in LCL she watched as Asuka pulled her t-shirt down as she pressed the gun in to her collar bone seeing Misato do the same on Rei. She watched as the holographic turned to green and Rei's did the same. "I have no spirit contamination for ether of them, all three tests its negative."

Dante moved forward watching as they moved back as he put his foot on the glowing pillar Asuka was on. "Good but I need to check something else before they can leave, then they can go back to medical wing and be sedated the sleep will do them good."

Rei eyed him. "I assume that sedation means we lose our memory of being here?" Dante breathed in deeply pressing Asuka's panel watching as a camera came out of the wall beaming its light down as it started to adjust its lances clearly doing a new combination that wasn't fully godly only godly in one place which was her left eye which could never be changed as was to be expected as I was the price for being a fallen god.. "No I'm not Keel I just want it to look like it took a while before you got to the medical bay and that you weren't conscious plus Maya will want to scan you and run tests she'll be waiting."

He watched as Asuka's teeth turned to their normal razor form as her right eye turned green with a cat like slit followed by left eye bursting in to white and blue light only it to cover her then fade away as the were-tiger revealed itself again very much unchanged apart from the longer mane and blonde highlights in places though there was one huge difference outside of the highlights softer fur on the tail tips and long whiskers.

He moved his hand closer touching them seeing her glowing blue eye turn to him as her other carried on letting out light as he took his visor off with the other hand. "Fascinating…you clearly took on so little of your counterpart, but I feel her within you yet its feels and looks like a perfect union and deeply balanced."

Asuka huge clawed hand suddenly came up stopping his hand pulling it of her whiskers. "Stop doing that it feels verfickte weird." Dante smirked as he stepped away from her. "As you wish..." He turned pressing Rei's panel. "Your turn now...this should be very interesting."

He watched as the camera turned to her not changing its combination which like Asuka wasn't godly but had a small godly piece remaining though it wasn't clear where it was right now He watched as her teeth changed to match her girlfriends as her eyes turned red glowing only for red light to blast outwards only to fade away revealing a smaller were-fox which was clearly a form of Kitsune with two long tails and glowing green eyes that slowly turned to a light glowing intense red.

The body was the same colour as the normal human hair though long mane was pure white the same white was the two tail tips chest and paws and snout with long claws on the hands and feet and long ears and whiskers. "My, my you both really like your animalistic were creature's forms don't you? Since Asuka is still Nekomata and you're now Kitsune and I'm assuming the new tail is recent." Rei eyed it. "Yes it wasn't there before."

Dante narrowed his gaze watching as Asuka turned back to her human self-same as Rei as the camera went off as this form was only for the imaginary world now as it should be and not the material one anymore unless needed.

He turned eyeing Asuka as Ritsuko gave her a mile sedative causing her to fall asleep she gently easing her of the pillar putting her on a hospital stretcher with Misato's help. He watched as they did knew once this meeting ended this room would go dark and the hospital staff could enter who had been called down. They'd take away both Rei and Asuka to Maya in the hospital wing. "Trust me when I say I'm not going to take away any of your memories."

Rei turned eyeing Asuka. "If you take them away Kyu will know…" Dante put a hand on his chest. "That's why I'm not touching anything on ether of you. I am not stupid, I was listening to her chat with Bardiel where she stated you and Asuka are hers and no one else's and as I feel this is not the last time we are going to meet."

He breathed in deeply. "I want our talks to be civil since there is no point in hiding anything from you two anymore you know too much." He pressed the panel with his foot watching as she turned back as Ritsuko put her on the other stretcher along with Misato as she sedated her. "This meeting is now over…as I want to return to my monolith and sleep I've had a very tiresome long week." He eyed Seele two. "You're in charge Coaxoch while I sleep or do you prefer Tezcatlipoca I forget it's been a while?" The female voice spoke. "To you my friend its Coaxoch…to my enemies its Tezcatlipoca the jaguar goddess…."

It's finally over, we saved the world well Rei did we just helped as best we could. I'm sitting in the special staff room which in near Gendo's and Ritsuko's office. It's been years but for the first time everyone slept in here on the long three seat sofas, including Gendo and Ritsuko. Though they weren't together and are at opposite ends of the sofa, as none of us had slept for so long. I just woke up along with Kaji, Sumire, Shigeru and Maya who are all still sleeping while the wide screen is on in the centre of the room beaming out the news.

I already know it's going to be a long couple of months ahead with constant pilot talks, negotiations the rebuilding of Nerv Central and Tokyo Three the sad truth is that there will be long funeral processions going on for those at the auction house and those who died here to save everyone. Along with the rebuilding of the Evangelions who are all being refitted with new armour on every unit, though I'm told the new plate is better than the old and much more flexible it's something the specialist have been worked on for the last three years.

Unlike the old metal it doesn't bend and crack instead it flexes with muscle movement, yes it looks the same it's still fortified and it's still twelve thousand plates in thickness like the original but they believe it will be a game changer as it allows for greater deflection of impacts even when the AT field is down and it is much more sturdy and harder to cut open. We saw that the Archangels had also upgraded their plate in the last battle so it's needed now more than ever and it will allow for new types of weapon.

As since the British developed Mari's new machine gun with cutting blades all the divisions have been working on new kit as the Germans are also developing a new slot for 02's tails that mean it can switch weapons rather than drop to change them. The idea is two weapons are slotted in to each tail and the coil sends up one when needed then brings it down bringing up another. So it in essence has four weapon slots at any one time plus its hand ones. The Chinese are already working vibrating sword blades that Toji can put on his units new clawed hands to cut AT fields and a new gun for the tail that can sit below the sledge hammer.

The reality is all these primal units going forward are going to have whole new armour and whole new weapons and it's going to bring about huge change. The Evangelion are now all in Primal state at their maximum power and potential and they are going to be a force to be reckoned with going forward.

I can't wait to see Keel fall I hope the bastard is squirming where ever he is. I hope he knows that after this and what he did to Asuka I'm going to spend the rest of his life hunting him down I will not rest till I get his head and his followers on a platter as we no longer have to contend with Ankh anymore and Cerberus is on our side so the game has shifted and not in his favour.

Moreover no more powerful lances exist so the time of fearing that an Evangelion will start human instrumentality is over. The only thing that's also to deal with is Mana as she wants to stay at Nerv Central and it means she'll be given a delegates expensive room till she can return home which won't be for many months until this alliance is fully finalized.

This will mean she'll be revealed to the world as Cerberus's leader and I don't see that going down well in Greece where she comes from. I have no idea what to make of her she's very quiet and well-mannered but I sense there are deeper emotions in her incurrent there just not on display yet.

Misato watched as Kaji appeared he slowly brought her an iced coffee speaking calmly. "Asuka and Rei have still not come around and the others are waiting for them to come around Sakura is looking after their cat again but she's back in school today. As that area was never touched by the attack and the Arcade Zone is back up along with the Gym area and tropical swimming pool, Taito Station and Sun Light Parade restaurant and bar." He paused. "Also the head of Special Forces deviation Ryo woke up half an hour ago he was unconscious for ages and they still need to do more checks on him though."

Misato eyed the old coffee. "So I guess all the money and Seele making Nerv rich paid off long term." Kaji sat next to her. "Yes I guess it did the media and visitor centre were untouched and are ready to functioning again give them a week along with the Evangelion bay repairs and the refits on the armour are going on in the Void with Hayden's taking charge. None of the special science divisions were killed along with no one from special intelligence including your two favourites Shoji and Leiko."

He looked down sadly. "Despite all the damage and death nothing was taken and now Vitor and Chilam can do their spine worm research while Aliya and Leon are fine though Aliya took a bullet to the shoulder though." He breathed in deeply passing her a data card which was copy of the original which he'd given back to Leiko. "I helped refine this with Leiko before the attack like you asked me to, it's her concept for humanising the pilots. Now it will be needed more than ever and will have to be implemented within the next week or so maybe its delay was to our favour as we will going forward need people to see that Asuka was not in control of her actions and very much the victim along with Rei and this is the best time for it to happen."

Misato eyed the disk before putting it in her leather jackets pockets. "I'll get this up to the media building they won't like it but there not gonna get a choice, not after what has happened." She turned eyeing the others. "I guess we should wake everyone apart from Gendo, as there so much to be done." Kaji took a long drink. "I see a lot of sleepless nights and over time, hopefully the shit storm that's coming will end in two months." Misato breathed in deeply. "I see it being about three or four…"

I move through the corridor rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, this whole thing had been utterly fucked up and I have no idea what will happen from here on out. Ironic perhaps, that I have craved this position all her life but now I realized that the burden for this position is enough to break some people. Since you got to know about so many things Nerv kept secrets.

Things that were so strange they broke everything you knew about your own world. That mothers souls lived in Evangelions cores that demi gods walked on earth hiding on earth as humans and all life is controlled by a huge alien like spire and city built by the very Lilith who is in the Void.

I now also just wanted to talk to my parents in Mexico just to check how everyone is doing since all off this was clearly world shaking and I have not even finished reading the book yet. Maybe it will say more on all this maybe it won't but who knows.

Sumire breathed in deeply, the only silver lining was soon the world would know some off this not all and maybe that would ease some of the burden. She turned another corridor only to see that Toji was coming towards her running as best he could using his crutch which was just until he got used to his new leg as he found it odd to walk on right now. His smile widened as he caught sight of her. "I've been looking everywhere for you, they told us you'd all left the central office not long ago!"

He moved faster towards her almost stumbling as she put a hand on his chest keeping him steady. "Easy now you're going to fall over." Toji breathed in deeply. "Wouldn't be the first time…." Sumire felt a smile form. "No it wouldn't but I'd enjoy it more this time." Toji laughed despite everything he had been though to know that just made him feel better as he wrapped his arms around her giving a deep passionate kiss which was slow and lingering before pulling away. "I've really missed you, I thought they'd keep you forever."

Sumire helped him as they started to walk as she ran a hand through his dark hair. "Trust me the world fucking falling apart wouldn't keep me from you." Toji looked up slightly. "I am going to find Mari then go see if Asuka and Rei are awake you want to come?"

Sumire walked down the damaged corridor which already had work men and women working to fix the damage as all the corridors had been cleaned on all levels now and the building crews were coming to repair them level by level which could take many months. "I would love to."

Toji looked at her for a long moment. "Also when the days done would you like to stay around mine and Sakura's house, it's just she really wants to see you again." Sumire looked at him feeling her smile widen. "That is an offer I could never refuse."

I can't believe I was so stupid, I see he's trying to do that thing he does when I'm angry which is pull out wine assuming I'll take it. Accept today I don't care for it and I'm not going to take it, I'm angry at him but more at myself, I've just realized something that I've been feeling for a long time which is I'm not happy with us. I clean up his mess and its time he stopped hiding behind me and started to deal with his own problems, I love him but I just realized that I've become as cold and calculated as he is and have been making such bad fucking choices.

I realize now the price I paid for running from the silence division and going in to upper management. I've been terrible to everyone around me, I got consumed by the power that gave me swamped in by it to the point that I realize I've lost myself and who I used to be. I betrayed my friends Misato and Kaji threw homophobic slurs at Maya who was nothing but loyal to me for years, all because I was being narrowed minded and pathetic.

I treated Asuka like utter shit and yet she still saved my life and now I finally get what she was trying to say. I realized it and it hit me like a sledge hammer and it hurt so much from me nothing from myself nothing less it. Nothing less means doing the right thing regardless of how she'd been treated to have morals and principles that are higher than your-self.

I used to have that but I lost it because billion yen pay checks landed on my desk I had more money than I could ever dream off. I don't regret making Nerv what it is and the employees having what they have but I regret how I went about it. As I made it hard for the work men and women who built this dream and are rebuilding the wrecked levels now.

I got sucked in to a warped world of celebrity, elitism and privilege, listening to yes people daily and the only friends who were telling me I was off I screwed over. I enjoyed shoving Kaji under the knife and lying about the sexual harassment and assault. I ran away from science because I didn't want to be my mother yet I become an even more narrow minded and an even bigger bigot than she was and now I realize other than this man I am truly alone and it's all my own making.

I will probably never be able to right the wrongs I did to Misato, Kaji and Maya but by the fucking gods I will right what I did to Asuka! Because I made that weapon to kill her and though I never fired it I'm still reasonable and the reality is she probably felt the pain of every second since her other self-robbed her of her ability to resist pain. She must have felt everything though I feel in meeting she was just putting a front on in some respects. I don't doubt she'll need a lot of therapy going forward just to deal with what her other self-did and how helpless she was to stop it.

I listened to my husband disinterest on his children that Rei held no value and Shinji was useless. Yet Shinji has always held the team together though everything even it caused him great injury and mental pain and Rei saved everyone. None of us would be standing here now and it's so clear now she's not Yui she's so different from her. Yes she looks like her but that is where the similarities end and that the other injustice I created I disliked her for being Yui's child and Asuka for being Kyoko's and both children are just not their parents.

Ritsuko watched as Gendo placed the red wine down on her desk as best he could since he still couldn't use one arm. "Dante couldn't find the eye of Adam, he's just told me it's not on my youngest child or any of her scans and there's no trace in her soul, it's like it's vanished." Ritsuko looked up sharply keeping none of the venom out of her tone. "After everything is that all you care about! That stupid weapon, which gave you power?"

Gendo blinked in surprise as he raised his good hand. "I need the eye of Adam! It gives me power over my enemies." Ritsuko felt a sneer form as she stood up. "No you don't and I'm utterly sick and tired of your games!" She moved out from behind the desk. "I'm also sick of you using me as fucking buffer against your enemies in politics and celebrity and now you dear to treat me like shit when I've show you nothing but loyalty." She moved closer ignoring his surprise. "You should never have fired that S2 engine energy cannon . You should never have stolen it and I never should have built it!"

She raised her hand before he could speak. "I am not going to protect you against your enemies anymore, you are going to come out of the fucking shadows and stop hiding and talk to people with me! I won't clean up your political mess again you will sit with me at every function and you will never question my loyalty ever again or help me I will end this marriage faster than you can blink and since you've stamped on or pissed off everyone around you including your children you will be truly alone!"

She paused. "I love you I always have and I still do but I hate what we've become our focus has only on power and control and right now we are becoming what Keel is!" She tensed painfully. "I don't want to become him not after what he brought up on the world, the destroyer of worlds was a truly horrific being without empathy and remorse and she almost ended this world! Had it not been for your youngest child neither of us would be standing here now you should be embracing her as an equal just like your son…"

She breathed in deeply. "Dante was always right our Asuka was never the monster, her forma self was, I just couldn't see it but I see that so clearly now and its time she was given the Wings of Valour." Gendo watched as she walked over to the locked cabinet opening it and pulling out a small box slamming it shut. He spoke though his voice came out so much weaker than he wanted it to sound. "She hasn't earned it…" Ritsuko eyed him in disgust. "I'm standing here because she saved my life we would not be having this conversation if not for her actions!"

She paused narrowing her gaze. "It's not a debate she's getting it regardless of what you think and feel because it's the right thing to do!" She put the box in her black suite pocket. "Because I realize something everyone will celebrating in a few weeks including Nerv, that we won but we won't be invited to any parties in this company as everyone hates us, or is afraid of us. That is our legacy it's what we've created though our obsession with power and the thing I realize is power, money mean nothing if you don't have family or friends to share it with, it's a very hollow existence."

She felt herself tense. "So going forward you need to make a choice your pitiful power or reaching out to people? Be like Keel or be with me and going forward try to be a better person!" She eyed him for a long moment. "I've made terrible mistakes I've hurt good friends and some friendships I will never be able to fix but maybe there are a few I can. I want to thank the men and women who laid down everything to protect us from our enemies and be there when they bury those who didn't make it, because they are the foundation of Nerv and we are nothing without them."

She stepped away. "Not to mention we need to work with our forma enemy who made a choice to save our lives." She couldn't blame him for her bigoted homophobia that had been hers alone and she had to fix it going forward in any talks with Shinji and Asuka and all the others she'd angered and not helped during Yuki's hate crimes. Which she'd turned a blind eye to as she hadn't viewed these people as people due to sexuality but the reality was they were no different to her they loved, hurt and felt pain just like everyone else. They were not lesser people, which was what her mother had told her as a child.

They all deserved much better from her, as she was done being like her mother, her mother had, had he wrong ideas regarding the program. She had forced her career in a direction she didn't want and though she had escaped it and gone in to management to get away. Her mother's death from cancer had been tragic but clearly she'd never truly gotten away from her influence even after her death and it was time she truly distanced herself from it.

She grabbed the door handle turning to him speaking coldly. "So I'll leave you to ponder your discussion and our relationship. I just hope you'll make the right choice but maybe I'm too hopeful since ultimately all you've ever cared about is power, so I guess now you have to choose between your mistress and me."

Mari breathed in deeply making her way slowly up to Maya's office she'd just gotten a message on her phone to come up here. She breathed in wishing she could run but she wasn't allowed when they'd dispatch her they told her no running, no straining no exercise and no sex or sexual actively.

The last part of that fucking sucked on every level and she was already starting to see why Rei and Asuka had broken the rules since it felt worse when you couldn't have it so much for all the fun Maya had promised she doubted she'd get any for three days at least.

She had also asked to see her little sister as had Shinji but they'd both been denied and told Asuka and Rei needed a lot of rest and they'd phone them when were up and about and dressed. So now it was a waiting game for everyone. She breathed in walking up to the office closing the door behind her seeing that Maya sitting on her desk rather than her chair smiling at her as she spoke in a low sly tone. "So I see you're up and about."

Mari felt a smile form as she raised her arm so she could see the heart monitor. "But I have to wear this for the next week and I'm not allowed to do any strenuous activity like exercising or sex or sexual activity." She shook her head sadly. "So I guess all that sexual fun you wanted to give me has gone out the window."

Maya turned picking up the cat pillow raising it. "You know I never thanked you for this, I really like it." She picked up wrapped red cloth package raising it as Mari came to stand in front of her. "I brought you this…I had to go through special channels but it make the next week more bearable for us."

Mari gently took the package watching as she put the pillow down watching as Mari carefully un-wrapped it only for her head to shoot up in surprise. "It's the real deal I have friends in the medical profession who sent it to me." Mari eyed the special medication in three syringes just for those with heart issues, it kept your blood pressure and heart steady just so you could have sex, though the dose was highly limited which meant you only got three attempts.

Maya eased up her hand. "We only get three shots, but I'm sure it will be enough and they told me all the dangerous drug is out of your system now." Mari moved forward putting it down as she put her arms around the smaller woman meeting her lips in a gentle slow kiss before pulling away as she spoke gently. "You really are the love off my life." Maya smiled whispering in her ear. "Just don't tell anyone okay, it's not officially a drug yet even though the testing phases were proven to be very successful as it won't go main steam till next year."

She hugged her tighter. "I'm just glad you're up about, I hated that I had to leave you believe me I never wanted to." Mari pulled back slightly as she ran her hand through her hair with its short pony tail. "Honestly its fine I saw in the media feed what you were dealing with, I'm just really happy we are still here to talk about it."

Maya breathed in deeply. "Speaking of which we should go see your sister and Rei I've been told there close to coming around, I was going to message you but you're here now." Mari felt her smile widen. "I'd like that a lot as I got a message that Toji is looking for me." Maya kissed her gently. "Then let's go."

Asuka breathed in deeply feeling one eye slowly open followed by her other and she groaned putting a hand on her face she was getting so tired of painkillers and sedatives she just wanted a holiday a long holiday. Two weeks long where she could just sit and digest everything that had happened to her over these past few weeks which had felt like the most intense and difficult of her life as she felt that she had not had a moment peace since the Alpha unit incident. She breathed in deeply sitting up slightly pushing her loose hair back it had been years since she'd had it this long.

She sat up realizing that Rei was in the bed opposite still not awake yet as they'd been put in the room together rather than apart. She sat up seeing that that they both in the typical hospital tops and trousers as she pulled the heart monitor off as she moved towards the other woman. She had confess she liked the longer hair as it could clearly be pulled up to make a short pony tail she eased out her fingers running it down the other woman's face.

She felt a smile form as leaned closer only for Rei's hand to come up stopping her hand movement as she spoke. "Hi." Asuka felt a toothy grin form. "I thought you were asleep." Rei breathed in deeply easing her hand running it gently through the red hair. "I woke up a while ago I was just really comfortable I didn't want move and you were still sleeping." Asuka breathed in deeply. "Do you remember everything that happened in the Void?"

Rei nodded as she eased herself up in to a sitting position. "Yes clearly Dante kept to his word." Asuka leaned forward gently kissing her lips. "I'm so happy to see you again." Rei felt a smile form as she eased herself on to the side of the bed in a sitting position watching as Asuka sat next to her as she pulled her heart monitor off. "You know you didn't have to bow in full dogeza to me Asuka." Asuka looked at her for a long moment before speaking. "Yes I did…I owed you an apology both for leaving you and a thank you for saving me from my other self who could have killed you."

Rei eased her hand up moving it though her very long hair watching as the blue patterns pulsed in her left eye. "As nice as it was you're my lover and equal you have nothing to prove to me." Asuka gently took hold of her hand gently kissing it. "Thank you I'll keep that in mind." Asuka was about to say something only to hear tapping on the glass. She turned seeing that Ritsuko was looking in she felt her smile fade great this wasn't going to be good. She watched as the blonde haired woman opened the door smoothing down her black suite looking very uncertain.

She breathed in eyeing her. "If this about me leaving the verfickte Soul Ark I did it for Nerv, we were being attacked!" She tensed sharply. "I was a god those people were human I saw my helping them as the only way to balance the war in our favour."

Ritsuko eased her hand in her suite pocket pulling out a little box passing it to her seeing her confusion as Rei moved giving them both space but stayed on the bed. "In light of that you deserve to have this." Asuka eyed her as she opened the box feeling the shock hit home. "These are the Wings of Valour…"

Ritsuko eyed her as pulled out a cigarette but didn't light it. "Yes in light of your bravery I felt you should have them, your older sister also earnt hers recently as did Toji." Asuka eyed the box. "I assume Gendo was really unhappy about this since he has never trusted me or believed in my loyalty."

Ritsuko looked up slightly speaking calmly. "It wasn't his order it was mine and frankly at this moment I don't care what he thinks." Asuka eyed the box her grandmother had wanted her to get this medal for years, but she'd long given up on ever getting it seeing it as out of her reach since Gendo and Ritsuko hated her and didn't believe in her loyalty. "You know I don't blame you for firing the S2 engine energy cannon…my other self, had just wiped out Nerv USA."

Ritsuko moved a step closer. "I do blame myself for creating that weapon and letting my husband fire it, it never should have been fired…it was a mistake. I made it because I hated you I wanted you to be punished and to suffer as I always knew what your destiny was." She looked down sadly. "If I've learnt anything in these past few days it's that I've wronged you constantly, I wanted to see a monster a demon where none exists. That was always your forma self and I was foolish to not see it and to get caught up in the anger over what happened between myself and your mother."

She eased out the bullet from her suite. "And the reality is your two very different people." She eyed the gleaming bullet. "I keep thinking about what you said which was from me nothing and your self-nothing less and I finally realized what you meant and I just wanted to say thank you for saving my life." Asuka put the box on the table opposite as she met the blonde woman's uncertain gaze. "You're welcome...the truth is I didn't want you to end up like my forma self as that same bridge played a huge part in turning her in to a monster, it's the moment humanity broke her."

She looked up slightly. "Also a good friend once told me no sin is beyond redemption and I think he's right. Everyone deserves a second change to be more than they once were as everyone has the opportunity to be better and change." Ritsuko looked at her bandaged hand as she put the bullet away feeling a genuine smile form. "Your friend is very insightful as are you." She paused before speaking knowing her tone was uncertain. "Going forward I would like to get to know you better Asuka Langley Soryu."

She eased out her hand. "If you'd permit it, though I'd understand if you don't want to right now as I've treated you very poorly over the years." Rei blinked she had not seen this coming and it was the last thing she'd excepted as she had never heard Ritsuko apologise let alone say she was wrong. Clearly something had happened that had deeply shifted her in her attitude of herself and how she viewed others. Asuka breathed in deeply taking hold of the blonde woman's hand. "I guess we can try all I ask is that you cut us both some slack." Ritsuko nodded calmly. "I feel I can do that going forward."

Vitor sat on the platform looking down at the wrecked zones below as his budgie sat on his shoulder below watching as Chilam sat next him her mini mass Evangelions in her arms chipping happily. They had all returned to normal and had showed no strange behaviour since the event. He breathed in deeply. "I need alcohol." Chilam looked up slightly. "You and me both…" She eyed he wrecked zone. "How long do you think it will take for them to repair them?"

Vitor looked down as he stroked his budgies head. "A long time I guess on the bright side we are not dead." Chilam shook her head. "Yeah I guess there is that, but I've heard they now want us to carry on work and study both on the Spine Worms, the Anti AT field weapons and any way to hurt the Archangels." She paused. "Oh yeah and we have to liaison with Shoji female from the special intelligence team if Misato and Maya are busy, do you have any idea who they are?"

Vitor shook his head. "No idea, never spoken to them personally all I know is there a very special part of the division that deals with weird shit but they were in that meeting when Asuka was captured." Chilam breathed in deeply. "Oh them yeah I remember now well this should be interesting."

Vitor stood up adjusting his ear translator. "Want to go get a beer? I just feel like getting wasted, you know celebrate still being alive." Chilam stood up slowly. "Yeah let's go, we can feed the little ones to." Vitor smirked as his budgie got inside his lap coat pocket. "Yeah let's feed everyone."
