"So, Teach, what can you tell us about your friend?" Claude asked Heavy at the Dining Hall, referring to Pyro, who was enjoying a Peach Sorbet with Mercedes and Annette and telling a joke, which they actually seemed to understand as they laughed with him.
"Pyro is good friend. But in battle...I fear no man, but that THING...it scares me." Heavy said.
"Oh man, can we NOT talk about Pyro when we're fighting?" Scout groaned as he was asked a similar question by Caspar. "Be quiet, he might be listening!"
Spy smoked a cigarette as he ate with Petra and Hubert.
"One shudders to imagine what inhuman thoughts lie behind that mask...what dreams of chronic sustained cruelty."
"Fascinating..." Hubert hummed.
"I am seeing it..." Petra said. "But from what I have seen of Pyro while being at the monastery...he seems so kind and gentle."
"Yeah, Pyro is a good guy." Engineer smiled as he talked with Linhardt and Ignatz. "It's just that when we're in battle...he tends to go a little...crazy."
Pyro was joining the Knights of Seiros for a mission. Alois was also accompanying him along with one of the most prominent knights, Catherine Rubens Charon AKA Thunderstrike Cassandra.
"So, we're taking down some bandits hiding out in their den, huh? Sounds fun to me." Catherine said, readying her sword, Thunderbrand, which looked different from most swords as it was made of some kind of bone-like material and glowed with ethereal power.
"So, you're name is Pyro, huh?" Alois smiled at the masked mercenary. "Perhaps we'll see you BLAZE into battle?"
Pyro turned to Alois silently. For a second, the man felt like he might have upset Pyro but then the arsonist let out a muffled giggle, much to Alois' relief.
"Well, whaddya know. He actually likes your jokes!" Catherine chuckled as she noticed this.
They soon arrived at the bandit's den. They were tasked with retrieving money that they had swiped from a small village and they would complete their mission without hesitance.
The bandits had seen they were coming and prepared to counterattack but that was when they and the Knights of Seiros got to witness just what Pyro was capable of.
*Pyro-Vision*
Pyro was on a merry stroll with a group of marshmallow knights going down a yellow brick road. There was also a pretty lady carrying a magic wand and a friendly man in multi-colored armor and wearing a jester crown. They were on a mission to stop some evil goblins and take back the treasure they stole from the nice little munchkin village and Pyro would do what he could to help them.
Some of the goblins came to attack and the marshmallow knights charged to stop them. The pretty lady waved her magic wand and trapped some goblins in bubbles while the jester knight put on a pair of boxing gloves and sent them flying.
As for Pyro, he skipped ahead as his friends defeated the evil goblins and went into their hideout. He would retrieve the stolen treasure and save the day!
*Real Vision*
As Catherine, Alois, and the Knights of Seiros fended off the attacking group of bandits, Pyro charged ahead into their hideout, where the rest of the bandits saw what was going on and moved to stop him.
"This is our treasure, you masked freak!" A Bandit sneered as he charged at Pyro with his rusted sword, only for the arsonist to leap into the air and slam his Fire Axe into his shoulder.
The bandit, once cocky and confident, screamed in agony as the Axe was wedged into his flesh. The other bandits watched in horror as Pyro then grabbed his jaw and ripped it off violently. The bandit gurgled and whimpered in pain before Pyro shoved his Flare Gun into his open mouth and fired, lighting his entire body on fire!
*Pyro-Vision*
Pyro had defeated the first evil goblin by bonking him on the head with a balloon unicorn hammer before poking him in the eyes and then spraying bubbles on him which tickled him as he laughed and fell to the ground. He then turned to the other goblins, some of them trying to make their escape while others charged at him.
Taking out his trusty Rainblower, Pyro fired a stream of rainbows, bubbles, and glitter at the evil goblins, causing them to scream as they were overwhelmed with the power of goodness and turned into stone.
*Real Vision*
Some of the bandits, in terror, fled at the sight of their comrade's gruesome end. Others angrily rushed at Pyro before he took out his Flamethrower and fired a steady stream of flames that engulfed the charging foes, making them scream as their skin burned and charred, some rolling on the ground to try and extinguish the flames and failing miserably.
"What the fuck?! That guy is a monster!" A Bandit Brigand screamed as he rushed forward in desperation with his Iron Axe to strike down Pyro and stop his rampage.
*Pyro-Vision*
A bigger evil goblin rushed forward with a scary-looking Axe. But Pyro was not afraid as he pulled out a giant lollipop and strutted forward before jumping into the air, spinning and shoving the lollipop in the evil goblin's mouth, making him fall over and begin sucking on it as he enjoyed the sweetness.
*Real Vision*
The Brigand never stood a chance as Pyro cleaved his head clean in half with his Fire Axe before turning to see a Bandit Swordmaster charging forward, screaming in fear and desperation.
Unafraid, Pyro took out his Scorch Shot and fired a single flare straight into the bandit's face, burning it as she howled in pain before Catherine rushed in and decapitated her with Thunderbrand.
"Dang, you take no prisoners, do you?"
*Pyro-Vision*
The pretty lady had come to help and used her magic wand to magically whisk the evil goblin away after Pyro had trapped him in a giant bubble. She then pointed to some evil goblins hiding in a giant present box. It seemed they were planning to spring a cruel trick on the marshmallow knights. Not on Pyro's watch!
*Real Vision*
Some of the bandits had hidden in a small shed but Pyro blocked the door with his Fire Axe before taking out his Flamethrower and setting it on fire. Catherine winced as she heard the agonizing screams of the bandits being burned alive with no hope of escape.
"By the Goddess, such ruthlessness..." Alois whispered as he and the Knights of Seiros were routing the rest of the bandits, watching the chaos Pyro inflicted by himself.
"Thank goodness he's on our side. Maybe Shamir might like him." Catherine whistled.
*Pyro-Vision*
Pyro skipped along merrily through the lair of the evil goblins, using his Rainblower to change it into a happy place full of flowers, candy, and rainbows. The marshmallow knights cheered and danced in happiness at their hero having saved the day while the Jester Knight and the Pretty Lady helped scare off the rest of the evil goblins.
*Real Vision*
The last remaining bandits that the Knights of Seiros hadn't routed were screaming and running in terror as their hideout burned to cinders around. A Bandit Mage fell down, his robes charred as he grabbed the leg of somebody, hoping for salvation.
"Help!"
...And all he found was Pyro, who aimed his Flamethrower down at him and burned him point-blank, roasting him to a blackened husk as he screamed all the while until his lungs gave out.
The bandits had all been routed and the Knights of Seiros had managed to claim the treasure they stole.
"Well, that was an en-RICH-ing experience!" Alois joked, trying to alleviate the air after witnessing Pyro's massacre.
"You sure know how to sow fear into those goddess-less scum, don't you?" Catherine said to Pyro as he walked up to her.
The masked arsonist stared at her before seeming to smile beneath his mask and shake her head, walking off as the Knights of Seiros watched him in silent awkwardness.
"Well, we better get this treasure back to the village. They need it more than us, after all!" Alois said as everyone nodded and followed after Pyro.
The Bandit leader, watching his entire group being slaughtered like pigs, stared in despair and horror before realizing there was a hole in his torso, his still-beating heart hanging loosely by a thread as he coughed up blood before falling over, finally expiring himself.
The last thing he heard was his clan's murderer whistling a cheerful and mellow tune as if he had not just committed a massacre full of fire, brimstone, and blood...
Do you believe in magic?
Sadly, Pyro didn't have a Seminar but he did get to bond with Alois and Catherine. So let me say that Pyro's favorite students so far are Bernadetta, Dorothea, Dedue, Mercedes, Annette, Ashe, Ignatz, Raphael, Marianne, Lysithea, and Hilda.
I had a lot of fun with the Pyro-Vision segments.
