The amount of times I've gotten a comment that is some variation of "the premise of this is so absurd it's impossible to take it it seriously, so this is clearly just one huge lol-joke, why are y'all so triggered grow up lmao I love u bro, keep posting" is a figure that is so frighteningly astronomical that if I was being honest about it people'd think I was exaggerating.
I can never really tell if the person is being sincere, either. I'm sure a bunch of them are from people who seriously think this is all me trying to be a meme-lord, and are being sincere with the praise, but it's obvious that some of them are from people who think that commenting that is the cleverest way they can think of to get one over on me, and have no clue that I literally get comments like these every other hour, and I just delete most of them.
I do find it strange that this is the go-to attitude that most people seem to have to my ideology. I can't even tell if I should take that as a good or a bad thing; I guess I'll just view it as a neutral premise. Well, to be fair, I guess it's less the actual ideology that people cannot take seriously, and more the concept of expressing that via having Persona characters kill ugly people. I do understand where the absurdity of that premise could come from in people's minds.
It's hard to explain properly to others as to how those two things connect fully in my mind. Persona just has a very deep, and personal connection to me, and it's very deeply rooted in my cacophobic feelings, and in how much I hate ugly people. I'll just leave it at that.
Anyway, if you cannot tell, I've been drinking and a little bit tipsy. So if I seem bizarrely more open than usual, that's why.
Although, I guess I'm a pretty open person anyway. It's not like I leave anything on my sleeve when I'm expressing myself online.
